Prepping for Free

5 Essential Preps Anyone Can Do

Free Prepping Projects

hi it's AlaskaGranny some people think

that prepping is expensive and so they

don't think that they can afford to do

it i'm going to share with you today

five preps that you can do that are

essential and preps that are completely free

the first important prep is gather emergency contacts phone numbers

make a list of your essential contact list

your vital contact list the most important

people you would need to contact in an

emergency your family members your

friends and neighbors your doctor and

emergency numbers like that make a list

of them and then realize that in an

emergency where perhaps the cellphones

don't work texting still might work and you

can still get ahold of and in touch with some of the

most important people that you would

want to contact the next important prep to consider

is your evacuation route make a plan if

you have to leave your home have several

ways that you know you could travel

safely so that you can get out of the

area also make a plan for how to get

home and know different routes to your home

from places that you go many times make a

plan for different ways to get home from

work perhaps from your child's day care

center from your favorite shopping

centers learn different routes around

your neighborhood so that you have

options in a time of emergency include

your pet in your plan

lots of times pets aren't allowed in

places like shelters and you never want

to leave them behind in an emergency

create a list of pet-friendly hotels and

even a list of friends that you could count

on that might take your pet in during an

emergency situation look around your

house for different bags, backpacks, suitcases, bins, containers that

you could use to carry your preps and emergency supplies if you

need to evacuate a big military backpack

isn't for everyone look around for things that

you already have find some shopping bags

an old backpack from your kids a rolling

suitcase those things would be wonderful

options to store your emergency supplies and prepping gear to grab and go if you have to leave your home

bug out grab the bag and have everything you need if you have to evacuate

have a strategic location where you store

your electronics if you want your

smartphone's you want an extra charger

perhaps a battery backup and that's a

wonderful place to keep also your

hearing aids cochlear implants eye glasses

contact lenses and any batteries or

cleaner that you would need in an

emergency so that you can scoop up those items

and take them with you make an emergency

kit gather the supplies around your

house that you already have you probably

have lots of things that you would need in an

emergency but they're scattered around

you may not know where they are

make a list of the things you need and now you

strategically can shop for the things

that you still need these are 5 easy preps

anyone can do to help prepare them for

an emergency situation and they cost

absolutely nothing a little bit of time

to help make sure that you and your

family will be okay no matter what comes

your way

I brought a secret news for you - Duration: 8:13.

I usually try to film...

when I have something to show you

or I talk to some foreign friends

but then this can be the case, too

when the weather is just crazy

Hello.

First time riding the city bike

It's not that bad

You know it sucks when you rent it at Han River

It's bad

But it's satisfying

It's good

I was kinda pissed off at first

As soon as I rented it, I pushed it forward, and then it was returned

I thought I couldn't ride it, and went pissed off

but somehow resolved it

I wanted to do it because of the good weather

I thought nobody is riding city bikes

Something like what Seoul city has created but a total failure

but there're a lotta people riding in fact

Super-easy to return

Seoul city bike is convenient, easy to return,

and has a great quality,

but to ride it inside Seoul city,

it's bit too noisy, lots of hills, many cars, and the fine dusts, too

So I'd give 4 out of 5

But that's not the problem of the city bike, so it's still you know

This is where I always drop by whenever I'm at this town

This is somewhere on the way Bukchon Village

I brought my mom here once

and there can't be many cars cuz the road is narrow

so you may sit outside

and coffee, too

Anyhow

You don't know how much excited I am to tell you thi

That is to say,

If you have watched some of my videos already,

I think you might know that I try to...

...get a satisfying picture for you

Don't you?

It's of course important to deliver a good story to you,

but I also try hard to get good cinematic pictures for you as well

which is why I'd love to explore new places

why I'd love to have new stories

I have this huge desire to show all of these to you

And that's why this is a great news for both you and me

That is, I'm doing my first travel blog!

The destination!

Yup

I think you know what's going on

There's a clip called 'A Night with a Family from Seattle in an Airbnb House'

I'll put the link on the description,

so you could follow up what was happening there if you still didn't watch it

CHECK THE LINK!

So I'm going to Seattle

It's the early July

and it's 2 weeks

For 2 weeks, I'm gunna Vlog there

and what's personally more exciting is that,

I have one little brother

I have only one brother actually

and he'll be with me! Just two of us

I've never traveled just with him so far

so that's also a very new part for me

I think you'll know if you have a brother or sister

cuz I don't have any experiences like that

and the BEST thing about this trip is that,

Among my subscribers, there're my parents, friends,

my brother... not sure if he is,

and you guys!

I feel like I'm bringing you all to Seattle

to travel!

That's why I'm way more motivated to do it!

I actually bought the ticket in this morning

and didn't tell you before, cuz I wanted to make it very sure first

so I'm telling you after buying the ticket

Not just this, but I'm also trying to have more trips

I myself have wanna explore different places

and also wanna show to you guys

Of course, I'd enjoy making those videos, too

You, too...

I mean

Isn't it exciting for you, too?

Imagining all those videos in Seoul are now in different place

I guess you'd anticipate a lot!

Good coffee, too!

I can't film from now, because I'm seeing ma friend

I'll see you later

And you know video that I uploaded few days ago,

I was having a chat like a QnA

Above all, there's one thing that I forgot to tell

When I saw you guys celebrating me for my birthday,

I was surprised.

I was happy and touched, too

I should've said thanks to you all about that

Thank you

And I threw a question in the end, you know?

This way, it's so bright

My face getting white

How should I...

So I asked you in the end to ask about France

I actually made all the questions by myself to make that clip

and it was COMPLETELY...

a good decision to ask you

I'm more than satisfied realizing the power of the collective intelligence

and that's gunna make the clip more enjoyable

enjoying questions you yourself provided

so that's coming soon! and thanks again!

Always saying thanks to you

Always thankful

Anyway I was traveling with the city bike

told you I'm traveling soon

It was a nice day

It's like I was hanging out with you

I was doing various videos like interview

but now I feel like concentrating more on VLOG from now on

Vlog

cuz that's what this channel is meant to be

And also I'm telling you after seeing the power of your collective intelligence

You know fun things happening in Seoul city

or topics that you're interested in

It would be a huge help, too, if you could tell me about those things whenever you feel like doing so

It's because I wanna better understand what kind of things you're interested in

and also because I can't check every single events happening in Seoul city

so sometimes I felt I was missing things I'd be very interested, too

Anyway it was a nice day,

and hope you had a nice day, too

Then see you!

Then what about the Michelin dim sum restaurant?

- The bun filled with pork. / - Right.

What was it called?

because you have to wait for months.

But you only waited for around 20 minutes.

It costs less than $10 per person.

I'd like to try it.

- Shall we vote? / - Sure.

I didn't see anything other than the view at night.

- You'll see it later. / - They kept eating.

Would you go on a Hong Kong trip

with this itinerary?

Please vote!

(How will the judges vote for the first half?)

- We have the result. / - They're here.

They've arrived.

We have the result for the first half.

- I just saw the result. / - You did?

- He's surprised. / - Okay then.

- His eyes have gotten bigger. / - Okay?

- Okay then. / - He turned into Son Seokhui.

His hands are trembling.

I don't think you understood my question.

He's slightly surprised.

I think you read my expression wrong.

(Her eyes flicker)

- She's an actress. / - She doesn't have a poker face.

- What I can tell you is that... / - Yes?

The score is very much like Hong Kong.

- Hong Kong? / - Thank you.

- Let me ask you this. / - Yes?

It's over 50, right?

- Fortunately, it's over 50. / - That's good enough.

- The next half... / - We have the second half.

I'm not worried about the votes.

- Why not? / - The first half was...

- More tourist mode. / - Right.

Since Hwangbo lived in Hong Kong,

the latter half will be local mode.

- You have to see the latter half. / - While watching...

The first thing you'll see is the cheese lobster.

- Please look forward to it. / - Yes.

Along with the lobster, let's begin the latter half.

Let's watch!

Oh, my God.

God...

Oh, my.

- It's ready to eat. / - What's that?

It comes prepared and there's so much meat.

That's $90?

- $87. / - That was $90.

- Really? / - It's enough for 4 or 5 people.

- Right, it's enough for 5. / - So it's not that expensive.

- It looks good. / - It's not mozzarella.

It's just yellow cheese.

There are four kinds of cheeses

but they won't tell us what.

Oh, my God.

It's huge.

(I'll try it first)

There's a reason this is the main dish.

Is it amazing?

It's not too rich.

I thought it'd be rich because of the cheese.

What kind of cheese is this? It tastes so good.

There's so much meat.

This is going to fill me up.

It's similar to fondue.

Instead of just fondue cheese,

it's like cheese soup.

What kind of cheese is this?

It only has cheese and butter in it.

Butter?

How many types of cheese is it made of?

3 to 4? Maybe 5?

He's not telling.

(It's a trade secret)

The food in Hong Kong...

It's similar to Chinese food, right?

But this isn't traditional Chinese cuisine.

- It's not Hong Kong cuisine either. / - Right.

It's not Italian food though.

It's totally fusion.

Hong Kong seems like...

It's mixed but not at the same time.

But the food suits Korean palates.

While talking about the food being rich...

We already ate this much.

I barely had a bite.

The food disappears as soon as it's served.

- Amazing. / - I had a six-pack earlier.

A six-pack?

I had a six-pack but it's gone.

Of course, I like to eat...

I didn't know that Jea would eat more than me.

- That's right. / - She's a food fighter.

- Really? / - Yes, really.

Every time it was time to move,

I had to keep taking her to good restaurants.

We know Hwangbo very well.

She really eats a ton.

- Of thin pork belly. / - We ate and talked...

I had really thick beef.

If you put them together,

it'd still be over 20 servings.

That's so much.

Today, we'll be heading to Hong Kong.

There is a lot to eat

but it's also a great place to shop.

Hwangbo, what did you do there

for a year and a half?

At first...

I just wanted to try living outside of Korea.

I wanted to stay for a month during the break

since I didn't know anyone there.

- So without any work? / - No, so later on...

I wanted to live there.

That means I need to earn money for rent, right?

She went back and forth from Korea...

- To Hong Kong for "Infinite Girls." / - Really?

She came back to Korea once a week for the shoot.

- Really? / - It was a dream of mine...

Since junior high. I found it written in my journal.

I didn't want to delay it any longer.

I wanted to make sure it happened.

If someone like her introduces Hong Kong to us...

- It'd be amazing. / - It'd be different.

- It was incredible. / - And also...

We have 100 people who will watch Hong Kong

and judge it.

- Nice to meet you. / - Welcome.

(I love you all)

in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Taiwanese movies are...

- Really hot these days. / - Chow Yun Fat.

- Pardon? / - Taiwanese cinema.

- Taiwanese movies. / - Yes, Taiwanese.

- There's Wang Ta Lu. / - And Jay Chou.

- Can't leave him out. / - Again, Jay Chou.

Hwijae is more familiar with Jackie Chan

and Chow Yun Fat.

- I belong to Chow Yun Fat's era. / - Hong Kong style.

Can't forget Andy Lau.

- Yes, Andy Lau. / - That's right.

- "A Moment of Romance". / - That's right.

- That's amazing. / - We visited all those locations.

These days, we talk about "Our Times."

Wait a minute.

While we talk about this,

no one in the audience are responding.

- No way. / - Yeah...

- Are we going to Hong Kong today? / - Finally...

We are going to Hong Kong.

You have waited for a long time.

We have Hwangbo, who has lived in Hong Kong...

- For 1.5 years. / - It's finally my turn.

I lived in Hong Kong for 1.5 years

and I love Hong Kong.

You take a lot of interest in rankings on Battle Trip.

- We have one for you today. / - That's right.

- What is it? / - That's what I'm talking about.

Among the most

frequently revisited travel destinations,

Hong Kong was in 5th place.

- Taiwan was 9th. / - Really?

That means people went once and never returned.

- But in Hong Kong's case... / - I think I can guess.

People end up living there like me.

That's how it is.

- I see. / - Travelling is about visiting.

- But everyone... / - But I concur with the revisits.

- She's right. / - About revisiting Hong Kong...

- Hey, you're on our team. / - That's true.

- I'm just trying to say. / - Hyorim is against us.

- I want to go to Hong Kong now. / - Is she a host?

- Let's listen. / - Personally...

I think Taiwan is a great place.

But Hong Kong really does have

a lot of places to eat.

- You're right. / - Younger crowds prefer that.

Okay then, Hyorim...

If the circumstances were exactly the same,

you'd choose Hong Kong over Taiwan, right?

- This time, it's Taiwan. / - I think...

I need to defend this...

- I... / - You lack consistency.

- Listen. / - Alright.

If this is a court of law and I'm her attorney,

my client keeps rambling nonsensical things.

- I became flustered. / - But...

- Let me defend her. / - Listen to what he has to say.

That ranking simply shows that

people don't know Taiwan very well yet.

- That's right. / - What are you on about?

- Hong Kong has dim sum. / - That's right.

Is Taiwan's pot chicken famous?

- We don't know about it. / - We don't.

It's still a place that we're not well-acquainted to yet.

- Let's discuss the highlights. / - Hong Kong highlights.

- I didn't focus on new places. / - That's right.

- This was Jea's first time. / - It was.

It was my first time.

Of course, we didn't skip out on the major tourist spots.

But in the 2nd half of the trip...

- Because you lived there. / - We become locals.

- We mix in local places. / - It was the best.

The trip is not mundane.

- Fresh experiences are plenty. / - Let's go.

- Let's go. / - Let us depart.

- This is Hwangbo... / - And Jea's...

Hong Kong Twist!

(Shopping paradise with beautiful nightscape)

The night view is pretty.

But it's definitely more familiar than Taiwan.

People think Hong Kong is an obvious destination.

If you visit Hong Kong with me...

Since I used to live there...

You can see a new twist to Hong Kong.

Oh, my God.

Jea's reactions are great.

This place would be impossible to find.

It's not possible unless you're a local.

(Once a member of the impactful group, Chakra)

Must you have to air this?

- So cool. / - That's awesome.

It's not a credit card, it's like a check card.

It's like a airport railroad.

You have another bowl of water for cleaning.

Let me help you.

Just follow me.

Hong Kong style.

Hwangbo was really cool back then.

She went there without money.

Lived through hardships.

(Jea, a member Brown Eyed Girls)

The salad looks good here.

Can't we eat pizza too?

So what are we going to eat now?

Are you a food fighter?

She eats so well.

Oh, my God.

They have a Sinyeong on their team too.

(Jea, the eating fairy)

She eats very well.

This is different to the Hong Kong I knew.

- Hwangbo... / - And Jea's...

Hong Kong Twist!

Gosh, it's cold.

Is Hwangbo here yet?

- So early. / - It's an early morning flight.

- What time did you meet? / - It was a 5:30 a.m.

- Wow. / - Hey, Hwangbo.

(Why are you so late?)

Where are you, Hwangbo?

You think this is funny?

- Her laugh. / - You think this is funny?

(Although she's in a corner, she stands out)

It's Hwangbo!

You totally look like a celebrity.

- Like a celebrity. / - That's the joy travelling with girls.

- They take good pictures for one another. / - Right.

Let's go already.

Let's just go before we do anything.

Where do we go?

Gate H.

Is this right?

Head to the left.

- Hello. / - Welcome.

It's kind of nice to go early.

There are a lot of available times.

It's like taking the public bus.

Boarding begins at 8:10 a.m.

You'll be boarding at gate 125.

- Check your number... / - We take the train, right?

Yes, that's right.

- Okay. Thank you. / - Thank you.

It's always exciting at the airport, right?

- That's right. Packing too. / - Just being there.

Let's move, move, move.

Move, move, move.

- Finally, we're off to Hong Kong. / - Finally.

- You must be sick of this, Hwangbo. / - Why?

It feels like a trip since I'm going with you.

- I... / - Wow.

Welcome aboard.

Can I get you something to drink? Water?

Orange juice.

- Orange juice? / - Orange juice.

Orange juice.

Orange juice!

Fresh juice.

Seriously.

Hwangbo, how many restaurants will you take me?

There are so many places to go.

For now, just follow me.

Just make sure not to tick me off.

Are they fighting already?

You're taking enough money, right?

- That's right. / - Enough money?

- That's all I have. / - That's right.

You need money. Otherwise it won't work.

Just by going with someone who knows...

- You feel at ease. / - She's dependable.

Between us girls,

going to Hong Kong together with Hwangbo

is like a dream.

We just couldn't match our schedules.

- Exactly. / - Song Euni went.

Yes, she went once.

(They arrive at Hong Kong International Airport)

Finally, we're at Hong Kong.

- Are you happy? / - Hong Kong. I like it.

(Excitement doesn't last long)

(Drooping)

I'm hungry.

- Right away. / - She's constantly hungry.

She eats so well.

Tell me when you're not hungry.

That's never.

This is nice but...

I'm so hungry.

- There she is. / - Gosh.

- She really eats a lot. / - Hwangbo, I'm hungry again.

I'm hungry.

Are you pregnant?

I'm not.

- Are you pregnant? / - First off...

The fastest way out of here is through the AEL.

It's over there. There it is.

What's the AEL?

Airport Express Line.

It's extremely fast.

If you ride this...

They have it here too.

Yes, there's an express train.

Then we get off at the last stop.

That will take us downtown.

But the great thing is

when the train arrives,

people miss it trying to pay.

Over there, you just get on first.

You can pay when you get off.

It's not too late to pay when you get off.

- Really? / - I've taken that before.

- Octopus. 2 persons. / - 300?

- 150, 150. / - Yeah, 150. Exactly.

Can we pay only by cash?

Here? You don't accept credit cards here?

- For the Octopus cards? / - No. It's cash only.

This can only be purchased with cash.

That's not the price. It's just the amount I loaded.

- It's rechargeable. / - With this...

We can't buy designer bags.

Apart from that, we can buy anything else.

It's not a credit card.

It's like a rechargeable checkcard.

You can recharge it at any convenience store.

You can use it to ride the bus

or buy items at the convenience store.

Most local restaurants

have equipment available to scan these in.

That's awesome.

The taxis here don't accept credit cards yet

like in Korea.

But this works for mostly everything.

How convenient.

- It's very nice here. / - Let's go.

- So this is connected to the airport? / - Yeah.

It's like an express line to the airport.

The trip only takes 25 minutes.

Otherwise, it's 1 hour and 30 minutes by bus.

I actually have a lot of fantasies

regarding Hong Kong.

Well, you haven't been here for leisure.

- You were here for work. / - That's right.

First, you need to familiarize yourself to come again.

So, let's visit the tourist attractions today.

It's just for you.

Tomorrow, I'll take you inside

the mind of a local.

That sounds great.

People think Hong Kong is an obvious destination.

But if you visit with me...

Since I used to live here...

You will see a twist in Hong Kong.

That is why our team name is Hong Kong...

Twist!

So what are we going to eat?

First, we'll get off and visit a Michelin restaurant.

I'd never been to a Michelin restaurant before this.

- Really? / - That's a dream of mine.

Can we just go casually like this?

With me, yes.

How come? Isn't it really expensive then?

Yes, I've been to expensive Michelin restaurants.

But the taste has to correlate with the price.

Honestly, before I tried this place,

I thought it would be like any other place.

But it's different.

It's a dim sum place.

A lot of people aren't aware that it has a star.
