Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowls in NI for two-day visit - Duration: 2:26.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall are in Northern Ireland for a two day visit.

They began their trip by travelling to the Seamus Heaney Homeplace Centre in Bellaghy,

where they met members of the poet's family.

The Royal couple will attend a series of engagements in Londonderry, Belfast and County Down during

their visit.

During their visit to Bellaghy, the Royal couple toured the visitors' centre.

The village inspired many of Seamus Heaney's most memorable lines.

Prince Charles has had a long interest in the Nobel prize winning poet's work and met

him on a number of occasions.

After leaving Bellaghy, they met staff and patients at the North West Cancer Centre at

Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry.

On Tuesday evening they attended a musical gathering at Hillsborough Castle, in County

Down.

They are also expected to officially open a memorial garden to members of the Police

Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) who were killed while on duty.

On Wednesday, the couple will begin an official visit in the Republic of Ireland, at the request

of the British government.

Their engagements are expected to include meetings with Taoiseach (Irish prime minister)

Enda Kenny, Irish President Michael D Higgins and a visit to Kilkenny Castle.

They are also expected to attend ceremonies at Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin to commemorate

those who lost their lives in the World War One and during the Easter Rising.

A statement from Clarence House said: "This visit will showcase the strength and vitality

of the connections between the United Kingdom and Ireland; and the friendship and partnership

that has defined our relationship over recent years.

"The Prince and Duchess's programme will allow them to honour those men and women whose sacrifice

in times of conflict shaped our two countries' shared history; and to celebrate all that

we do together to cement peace and secure a prosperous future."

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall last visited Northern Ireland and the Republic

of Ireland in May last year.

Arsene Wenger confirms Mahrez interest as Arsenal boss targets £40million deal for Leicester winger

ARSENE WENGER has confirmed his interest in Riyad Mahrez. The Arsenal boss has around £150million to spend this summer and has targeted the Prem title having signed a new two-year deal.

PA:Press Association Riyad Mahrez has told Leciester he wants to leave this summer. As SunSport told, Wenger is set to make a £40m bid for the Algerian ace – who has demanded an exit from Leicester.

He is insistent that Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will not be sold this summer. Wenger says that he is yet to make an opening offer for Mahrez but admitted he could table a bid could be imminent.

The Frenchman said: We have not made a bid for him but personally I like the player, yes. I think he had a huge impact at Leicester when they won the championship, like everybody else.

Its been a different season this year but it doesnt take anything away from his qualities. Have we made a bid for him? No. Not yet means it could happen, it could not happen..

Getty Images - WireImage The Leicester ace and wife Rita could be set for a move to London.   Riyad Mahrez scores some unbelievable goals in Leicester training.

Mahrez won the PFA player of the year award last year after helping the Foxes to the Premier League title, scoring 17 goals. However, he only signed a new four-year deal in August - leaving Leicester in a strong bargaining position.

But he claims that he was assured he could leave the King Power provided he gave the Foxes one more year of service.

Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be keen on the winger, who was signed for just £400,000 from French outfit Le Havre.

Confirming his intention to leave last week, Mahrez said: Out of the huge admiration and respect I hold for Leicester City Football Club I wanted to be totally honest and transparent with them and have therefore informed the club that I feel now is the time for me to move on.

I had a good discussion with the Chairman last summer and we agreed at that time that I would stay for another year in order to help the club as best as I could following the transition of winning the title and in the Champions League.

Mahrez struggled to reproduce his Foxes form last season. However, I am fiercely ambitious and feel that now is the time to move on to a new experience.

Ive always enjoyed a good relationship with the Chairman and everyone at the club, and I hope I have been able to repay the faith shown to me by my performances and commitment on the pitch during my time here.

Ive had the four best seasons of my career at Leicester and have loved every moment. I feel immense pride to have been a part of what we have achieved during my time at the club, culminating in becoming Premier League Champions.

The relationship I share with the club and our amazing fans is something I will treasure forever and I truly hope they will understand and respect my decision.
