RIPPED Back Workout in 4 SETS! (MINI ROUTINE FOR MAX GAINS!) - Duration: 5:16.

What's up Champ! I'm Vince Del Monte of GeneExpressionTraining.com. We're kicking

off a brand new series here called the Unforgiven Series. This is a series

dedicated to me inflicting some serious nasty sin upon you that you will

not be able to forgive me for.

So this is the get ripped workout for your back.

Alright. We're going to build a wider, a thicker, more V-tapered back. So I want to

warn you this workout is going to make you sore before the workout's even ended.

Alright. Most people don't get muscle soreness for like 24-36 hours. Right.

How's this workout going to make you sore before it's even over? Well we're going

to trigger one of the mechanisms of muscle growth called Muscle Damage.

We're going to inflict a lot of muscle damage onto your back. It's going to feel like

your back ripping in a good way, and that's what's going to produce better

results for you. Alright. The way we're going to do that is with 4 strategic

exercises in a very specific order. You have to do it in this order for it to be

effective or else you're not going to do it right. The 4th exercise, I don't know

how to say it, is going to murder you. You're going to do these exercises

back to back to back. You're going to do ten seconds rest in between each

exercise. Let's get into the workout. We're going to start off with a 90 degree

trunk angle bent over row. So I want your trunk all the way down at 90 degrees.

That's going to make this exercise hardest. You're going to find a weight

that you can do for 12 reps. If you can do 13, it was too light. Your second

exercise is a bent over row but with your trunk up 45 degrees. So we're going

to reduce the torque. Alright. This is going to allow you to still work with

the heavier weight, but we're going to intentionally reduce the range of motion

and I want you to squeeze your back on every single rep. Try not to rock.

Keep your feet pushed into the ground. Keep your gluts lock down and just squeeze

your back. After you've done 12 reps there, you're

going to move to your third exercise which are chest supported rows. You can

go with dumbbells or you can go with a T-Bar Row, whatever your gym has

available. Both are good options. Alright. You can put elbows out or elbows

down wherever it feels best for your back. Now you're going to go for 15 reps

[Music] After you've done 15 reps here you're

going to go to the final exercise and that is chin-ups but with a little twist.

We're going to jump up and you're going to do a five-second negative. Alright.

That's one rep you're going to do that 15 times as I said at the start

that last exercise is going to murder you. This is what's going to really rip your

back. You're going to feel oh my god my lats are like sore already. That's from

the negatives. Alright. When you accentuate alot of negative, you rip a lot

of muscle tissue and that's one of the mechanisms of muscle growth. This is how

this workout is actually going to make your back thicker, wide,r and more v-tapered.

Now just a few little tips because I never give you guys a workout that I

haven't tried myself, I'm not familiar with, because I want you to get the most

out of it. A lot of you guys will not get to 12

reps or 15 reps depending on the exercise and that's fine. You might have

just gone a little too heavy. I'm okay with that.

All you got to do is put the weight down, rest for 10 seconds, and then keep going

until you hit your goal reps. Now I know there's some crazy guys out there.

I know some of you will blast through this. You are advanced. You might find can I

just turn this into a full-blown workout? If you're a little crazy here then you

can do a second round maybe even a third. If you can do what I've just shown you

more than three times you didn't do it right. Just flat out. I don't care if

you've got a pro card. I don't care if you're 220, ten percent body fat,

you didn't do it right. You've got to select a heavier weight.

Stick to those rep ranges and you will blast your back. Focus on good quality

contractions. Keep that rest period ten seconds in between exercises and you'll

learn what it means to put out a max effort in a minimal amount of time.

Alright that's it guys. Now time for you to try it out. Next time you hit the gym

put this to the test. Don't believe what I say. Believe it after you try it.

Alright. The proof is in the pudding. Talk is

cheap. You guys have to see for yourself if these shorter workouts are truly

harder and they're more effective. It's all about getting more from less. It's easy

to spend two hours a day in the gym, but does that get you results? Likely not.

It means you're not training smart or you're not training hard. So yeah, if you

guys want me to cover shoulders or chest or legs let me know in the comment

section below and I got a few more tricks up my sleeve.

If you guys want some more hand-holding and you want a complete step by step

18 week program, a muscle building program to transform your physique, click the

link on the screen or the first link in the description and you can join over

15,000 other guys we've already taken this program for a ride and have seen some

of their best muscle building and fat loss results. It just requires you to take

action and to shift in a new direction. You're not going to get the same results

doing the same thing. If you want a different result you have to do

something different. Doesn't that make sense? So check that out. Link on the

screen or link in the description and I look forward to seeing what you can

achieve in the next 18 weeks. Take care.

database is only available to physicians who are increasingly using the internet

to research the safety efficacy and tolerability of drugs in the real world

about 650,000 physicians around the world are currently members of sermo

making it the largest social network designed specifically for doctors until

now the drug ratings tool has been undergoing beta testing during which

time over 250,000 ratings and 20,000 comments have been added to a database

2,000 pharmaceuticals while clinical trials data and manufacturer's

side-effect information are important in helping physicians make prescribing

decisions real-world evidence is becoming more relevant particularly when

it comes to new therapies by providing physicians with a way to share their

experience on the safety efficacy tolerability and adherence to a specific

drug they can be empowered to make better treatment decisions the sermo

creators point out that drug review sites for patients have existed online

Researchers Urge FDA to Update Guidance for Alzheimer's Drug Approvals - Duration: 2:39.

here's the latest on XCOM Alzheimer's disease drugs are notoriously difficult

to develop as they often show efficacy in stage clinical trials but fail to

meet critical endpoints when it comes to the pivotal phase 3 study now all

Summers researchers are imploring the FDA to update the criteria it uses to

approve new therapies for the neurodegenerative disease to incentivize

more rd in the field

hello I'm Sara hand editor and webinar moderator for

xtalks.com and welcome to this edition of xtalks vitals currently the FDA

requires that new Alzheimer's drugs must demonstrate a benefit on both a

cognition and function endpoints since this criteria was never formalized in

FDA guidance and our understanding of Alzheimer's disease pathology has

advanced in recent years the researchers argued that a single primary endpoint

should be sufficient for a new drug application filing with the regulator as

the population ages Alzheimer's disease continues to be a growing problem

however the researchers point out that the search for new therapies is far

behind that of other serious diseases for example between 2014 and 2015 there

were four thousand nine hundred and seventy six oncology clinical trials

being conducted in that same time period there were just 135 Studies on

Alzheimer's disease if the FDA were to modernize their approval criteria the

researchers say that it would be consistent with 2013 draft guidance

released by the regulator regarding drug development for early stages of

Alzheimer's disease they believe that in Alzheimer's drugs that shows an

improvement in memory in clinical trials should still be eligible for FDA

approval regardless of functional benefits due to the potential for the

drug to improve patient's quality of life

A Vacuum For Your Face? | Elise Tries | NPR - Duration: 4:03.

How do my pores look?

Very good, yeah very good, yeah very good.

Hey everyone, it's NPR Asia correspondent, Elise Hu, makeup free today with my friend,

Joyce Kong.

She is a beauty consultant here in Seoul and the reason why I don't have anything on my

face is because we are going to try something called pore vacuuming.

They want our shoes off? Ok.

Most likely.

All right, it's Korea so we're going to take our shoes off.

Oh wow, do I really need to be under the blanket, it's kind of warm.

So, it's operating off this ying and yang type of thing.

So your body is supposed to kind of heat up and it's supposed to push

all the toxins out of your skin.

I think I'm too long for this.

Skin care in South Korea is serious business, with South Korean women spending twice as

much of their income on beauty products as American women.

With more women entering the highly competitive and image conscious South Korean workforce

demand for new products is up.

One of the most popular - pore vacuuming.

Just like a home vacuum cleaner the process uses suction to pull pore gunk, sebum and

blackheads straight out of your face.

It's pretty painless, but is exactly as gross as you'd think.

So you can think of it as step 1 is removing everything on your face, getting it to be

as clean as possible, and step 2 they can really go in for the excavation.

Oh yeah, I think she's getting my nose pores.

Mmhmm.

Oh geez, you can hear it.

Oh, dear.

Oh geez.

I can actually feel stuff being sucked up.

This is gross.

I can't really see because there cotton in front of my eyes, but something is happening.

All right folks, so this is called white tanning, here in Korea.

There's actually no tanning involved in this red light therapy said to stimulate collagen

production and even out skin tone.

South Korea prides milky whiteness of skin due to some lingering historical notions that

dark skin is tied to being working class, and the pressure to be super white is still intense.

They believe having a whiter canvass better showcases your pampered skin.

So, this is known as a rubber mask, and it basically seals in the benefits of everything

that we've done so far.

I want this off my face so bad.

I'm feeling a little claustrophobic.

Oh my gosh, that feels so much better.

The thing with Korean look that Americans aren't going to be used to is that Koreans

like to kind of have this natural glow look rather than a matte.

So, I have a friend who works at the airlines and he always sees the the Asiana and the

Korean air pilots and he asks "Why do they all look so sweaty?"

They call it dewy.

Yes, dewy.

But, I guess it could be perceived as sweaty.

Do I look more Korean?

Ok, this is the moment of truth you guys.

Hold on, are we looking in here?

This is the water that's come from the treatment.

Yeah, so you can see - this is actually not so bad.

The first time I got it done you could literally see the squiggles swimming around -

Ah, this one's mine, that's why.

Oh yours is - your skin was already treated!

So, after seeing our...whatever came out of our pores.

Our pore juice.

I feel like this experience wasn't as gross as I expected it to be.

That's good.

Overall, I would recommend this experience, especially you should do it in Korea

because apparently it's like 10 times cheaper.

It's so much cheaper, and they're just masters of their craft here.

And doesn't your face feel so much lighter?

It does!

All right, so for this Elise Tries I would say try it.

But only if you can get it for really cheap.

Target Date Solutions for Better Retirement Outcomes - Duration: 5:18.

Target Date Funds are expected to capture 88% of plan flows, according to Cerulli, by

2019, and 35% of total plan assets. And with this expected inflow of assets, what we see

is increased fiduciary oversight. And what we're seeing, is fiduciaries struggling with

how to select the right target date funds, to match your demographic base. And so first

we can start with you Sri, can you shed some insights into how Prudential's Day One Funds

are informed by the 4 million plus participants at Pru Retirement?

Great, thank you, Peter. So I'm going to start by talking about why participants fail at

retirement planning, or why we don't have the outcomes we sometimes want to deliver.

First and foremost, it's probably because they didn't enroll in their plan early enough.

They probably didn't contribute the appropriate rate, they probably didn't invest in the

appropriate risk-adjusted investments over their time horizon, and they probably weren't

diversified enough, or rebounced over time. Now this is why those stats that you quoted,

88% and 35% are really compelling. With Target Date Funds, it simplifies many of those tasks

other than enrolment and the election of how much, into a packaged product. So when we

look at Day One funds, and when we thought about how do we create the best of breed of

target date funds, we took our knowledge of things that participants need to be aware

of: longevity, inflation risk, sequence of return risk, reinvestment risk, and even withdrawal

risk, and we packaged those in asset classes, and glide paths that simply just make sense.

Interesting. So Jeremy, maybe you could shed some light on some of the capital market assumptions

the investment analytics that went into the construction and design of the Day One Funds.

Yeah I'd be happy to. So, I think when you step back for a second, and we think about

financial planning more generically; when an individual's working with a financial

planner, ultimately what they're trying to do is trying to come up with a plan for

that person to be able to save while they work, contribute some money into you know,

some retirement account, and then use that to draw out of during retirement. There's

a number of challenges to do that though, and target date funds really have the same

approach to doing this for the masses, and they have these same challenges. I think two

big challenges that they're sort of faced with is, well unfortunately, you don't know

when people are going to die, and you don't know what markets are going to return exactly.

If you did, you could come up with a plan, you could formulate it to very specifically

draw down until the day that a person dies, but we don't, so Target Date Providers make

all sorts of assumptions to be able to do that, and just what Sri had talked about,

some of these risks that they face, you make assumptions on doing that. And so when think

about DuPont Capital Markets, I think a lot of Target Date Funds sort of develop this

probability of success in order to come up with a glide path that works for them, and

what we've seen is that, when you run the successes of some glide paths out there, if

you look at historical returns for the marketplace, it's very different then more forecasted

returns, right? We hear today about this "new normal" that we're in. Equity market returns

certainly don't appear like they'll be anything like they're been historically

for the foreseeable future. The bond market certainly looks like it's going to return

much less than it has in the past. So when you do start to think, well there's glide

path that was developed based on this probability of success, if you do sort of use those forecast

returns, you see the probability of success for some of these glide paths goes from something

like 90% to maybe a coin flip, under 50%, whether it actually works or not.

And so I think that some of the risks that Sri was mentioning, that's a better way

to think about how to develop a glide path. And that's the way that we thought about

things when we developed the Day One Funds glide path. Certainly the probability of success

and looking at the asset class returns are important diagnostics to look at when looking

at a glide path, but really thinking about participant outcomes, what are we ultimately

trying to do for the end user, that end participant at the end of the day, is a better approach

to building a target date funds and thinking about a lot of those risks that Sri mentioned.

So it really is a combination of the behavioural factors that drive participant behaviour and

also the investment analytics and marrying those.

No question. Optimally and academically, I think we as an industry know what works. But

we also know what participants will actually do that aligns with their best interest. And

what they won't do, just because of fear, whether it's risk aversion or other fears,

discussing their own morbidity or mortality, these are not things that come naturally to

people. So when you can package those discreet risks and solve for them, and be much more

outcome focused, I think you're going to hit a home run.

Yeah, and I think that's an important, uh, important you know concept to make sure we

keep in mind, right. I think in a black box approach, you can sort of academically develop

a widget that probably is the most efficient way to do it, but really drawing off the insights

that Sri and Pru Retirement has and understanding true participant behaviours, it will help

you develop a product for individuals that works better for them, takes into account

how they're feeling, to keep them invested, to keep them along for the ride, to really

put them in the best situation as they approach and enter into retirement.

Tips for Future Fellows - Duration: 3:57.

I can't stress enough how important the people are.

I was blessed to have a group of four fellow interns that made the day-to-day experience

worth it.

That means going to briefings on topics from the coup in Turkey to mobile data security,

and writing policy notes to send to my supervisor.

That meant going to random Supreme Court visits with my fellow interns, that one random quick

bite to eat or that one person that I was able to see over and over as I led a congressional tour.

Those small interactions make a huge impact on your day-to-day satisfaction with the job,

and no matter what you do, that's the important thing.

I really encourage anyone who has a chance to step outside of their comfort zone, to

try different things in other communities, and do it through a very respectful and understanding

perspective and a very humble perspective.

I think the Haas Center encourages that, and encourages you to look deeply about,

OK are you doing something that's sustainable or are you doing something that is respecting

the community and is it your place to be there.

I really ask [inaudible] questions when you're doing service, and I think just the ability

to have another experience in a culture that's not your own or a place that's not your own

is a valuable experience, and it shows you a lot about who you are and

the forces that shaped you before this.

I think the most important part for me and for anyone who's interested in a Capital experience

or any type of political internship is to remember that, remember why you want to do it.

And remember that it is a rite of passage, just like, much like [inaudible].

If you have any interest in pursuing it, take that next step and use the Haas Center as a resource.

I think I was really apprehensive to go to Nicaragua, just because of the climate and

it was really out of my comfort zone, but I learned so, so much from the summer.

So I really encourage you if you're at all nervous about pushing your boundaries to just

really take that step and go out of your comfort zone because you can learn so much.

If you're a freshman -- I was intimidated, because the person before me, he did it right

before his senior year, he was like getting a minor in education, he had the computer

science background, as well as, he did a great job.

I think a big part of the internship or any SIG fellowship really is just like putting a lot of effort

in, being really respectful of those around you, and putting in whatever preparation you

can in the weeks beforehand.

Like, what I did, I just went on the website and I read a lot of the meeting memos.

So my first day at work my boss was amazed with like how prepared I was even though I

didn't really know a lot, but I just read a lot of their meeting memos and I felt like

I could hit the ground running because of that.

So, freshmen, I would recommend you not to be intimidated by whatever you think the internship is.

If you're passionate about it, go for it.

And if you happen to get the internship just prepare yourself in whatever way you can.

Otherwise, don't worry about it, just show up on the first day with a positive attitude

and be ready to work hard.

I would just say, definitely whatever anyone is paired, whatever organization your paired with,

whatever fellowship you get and whatever you do during the summer I definitely recommend

like just putting your whole heart into it, because I feel like what you get out of it

is like what you put into it.

So like if you dedicate your time and energy and you really care about it

it'll be a really rewarding summer.

Antarctic Infrastructure Modernization for Science (AIMS) – McMurdo - Duration: 3:36.

Present day McMurdo Station hosts a wide variety of scientific activities and, compared to

its earlier history, these activities have spread out over the continent, allowing scientists

to conduct critical research in areas of Antarctica that were previously inaccessible.

As such, McMurdo serves as a critical logistics hub that supports multiple field sites such

as the South Pole, near- and deep-field camps, helicopter supported camps, as well as overland

traverse operations.

As science and the support necessary to sustain it increased in sophistication and scale,

so did the physical footprint of McMurdo station to eventually encompass the 164-acre site

that exists today.

Through the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernization for Science, or AIMS program, proposed improvements

to McMurdo Station will consolidate the 104 existing buildings to just 6 primary structures,

significantly reducing the station's footprint.

Doing so will greatly decrease energy demands for heating, lighting, and water production,

significantly reducing overall fuel consumption.

These changes will create safer and more efficient working conditions.

The efficiencies will prevent the escalation of operations and maintenance costs that the

aging infrastructure currently requires.

AIMS is designed to ensure the long-term sustainability of the U.S. Antarctic Program.

The entry courtyard, flanked by the existing Crary Lab and the new Field Science Support

Facility, welcomes arriving personnel to the heart of the consolidated station.

The modern and deliberate architectural features take into account the demands of the tough

operating environment while inspiring respect for the world leading stature of U.S. Antarctic

research.

Guided by extensive snow modeling studies during the design process, building placement

and geometry will result in minimal snow drifting and so reduced snow management efforts and

costs.

The proximity of work centers will streamline the process of handling cargo and warehousing.

Materials will be stored adjacent to the scientists and support staff who need them, directly

improving their productivity.
