Tom Arnold: My goal is to get Trump to resign before he really destroys things

Comedian Tom Arnold said he is angling to "keep pressure" on President Trump in an effort to get the real estate mogul to resign the presidency "before he really destroys" it or the country.

"My goal is for Donald Trump to resign before he really destroys—you know, to keep pressure on him," Arnold told Politico's "Off Message" podcast.

"And I think that you will see that, as shocking as it is, that I am keeping pressure on him.".

Arnold, the ex-husband of actress and outspoken Trump supporter Roseanne Barr, is on a self-described mission to hunt down allegedly incriminating tapes of Trump.

That mission is the subject of an upcoming Viceland show, "The Hunt for the Trump Tapes.".

Arnold told Politico that he's hoping to use behind-the-scenes footage of Trump during his tenure on NBC's "The Apprentice" to offer a glimpse to the American public of who the president is behind the scenes.

"My whole goal, really, is to get one 12-hour day of the boardrooms shoot," Arnold said.

"Because if America could see that, they'd know what's going on in the White House right now, how incompetent the guy is.

That's really my goal.".

"It's not to hear one N-word," he continued.

"And by the way, you'd hear much worse than that.".

Last month, Arnold posted a photo on Twitter of himself posing with Trump's embattled personal attorney Michael Cohen.

 He later told NBC News that the two talked about his upcoming Viceland show.

Cohen denied that he and Arnold discussed his appearance on the show or anything regarding Trump.

But Arnold told NBC News that the two men are now "on the same side.".

"We've been on the other side of the table and now we're on the same side," he said.

Cohen is under intense legal scrutiny by federal investigators examining his business dealings, including a $130,000 payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels, which was intended to buy her silence about an alleged affair with Trump years ago.

This is not a Race - Arvon kuntoajo 2018 Cycling Event - Duration: 6:02.

Hello! I'm Saukki.

And today I'm going to participate to this cycling event called "Arvon kuntoajo".

It's a traditional sportive event here in Kälviä.

It's actually not a race, but on the 110 km route the fastest riders are of course going

to compete with each other.

And I think that's what I'm going to do.

It's going to be good practice for the upcoming Finnish Recumbent Championships.

The weather is pretty windy today, so it's going to be interesting.

So, let's see.

There is almost same amount of riders starting for the ride as last year.

This time there is even two recumbents on the start line.

Well, mine is a velomobile, but it basically is a fully faired recumbent trike.

The wind is pretty strong so it's nice to see this many people not afraid of the wind.

As usual, the ride starts with this small warm up loop around the village.

The "not a race" starts here.

But I happen to be the last one on the line and there is no room to over take, so I have

to wait until here before I can start my race... not a race.

It's not a race.

It doesn't take long to overtake all the upright cyclists.

I can see the fast group on my rear view mirror for a few kilometers, until I gain some more

distance between me and them.

Can't see them on the mirror.

The next kilometers where quite uneventfull.

Exept for this owl.

I think it was owl.

It was quite interesting, just hovering there in this strong wind.

Maybe it was hunting or something...

As I said, pretty uneventfull.

Lets fast forward to the turning spot, which is at the half way of the race.

Not a race!

Ok, we are aproaching to the turning spot.

And after that it's the same route back.

It's pretty tight turn.

Let's see.

No problems.

Okay.

And now it's very interesting to see where the other cyclists are.

How much behind they are?

Here is the service car coming.

Here they are!

They are 6 km behind me.

So they are six kilometers behind me and at this point I have been riding 61 kilometers.

So that's how much faster a velomobile is compared to a group of upright road cyclists.

On this last slighty descending section I tried to go as fast as I could, but I quite

wasn't as fast as last year.

Maybe it was this strong wind, or maybe it was the ice cream I ate yesterday.

These cyclist are riding the 60 km route.

They started half an hour later than we.

And now I'm catching them up.

I think my other camera will soon run out of battery, so now I'm stuck with this camera.

It's pretty strong wind.

And here we are cross the finish line.

113 kilometers.

2 hours 49 minutes.

Average speed was 40,4 km/h. Ok, that's it.

So I wasn't as fast as last year.

Maybe I'm just out of shape or something.

Unfortunatly there wasn't any Strava users on the fast group of the 110 km route, so

I can't compare my results to theirs.

But luckily here we can find this Strava segment for the 110 km "not a race" and here are the

results from last year.

And here we can se that this year I was few minutes faster than the fastest rider last year

But I'm not happy with my performance this year.

I shouldn't have eaten that ice cream yesterday.

When President Trump makes a political miscalculation, you can usually count on his opponents becoming so unhinged that the White House is able to flip the script so that the bullseye is no longer on the president's back but affixed squarely on his detractors.

That is precisely what is happening as some Democrats around the country push to "abolish ICE," U.S.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

As The Hill recently reported, the call to abolish ICE is quickly being adopted by Democrats who want to see their stars rise in the 2020 presidential election.

Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and Kamala Harris (D-Calif) have all called for the agency to be abolished or to "start from scratch." Another likely 2020 hopeful, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio (D), joined the chorus too.

Trump's "zero tolerance" policy calls for the prosecution of illegal border crossers, where previously "catch and release" was the standard process.

Due to inadequacies with the current law on the books, a side effect was that parents who illegally crossed the border were separated from their alleged children.

After several weeks of the policy, it was clear that the practice of separating parents and children was rapidly becoming an optics nightmare.

The Trump administration has since ceased the practice of separating children from their parents and will now "detain families together during the pendency of immigration proceedings when they are apprehended at or between ports of entry.".
