OceanWP vs Astra vs GeneratePress: Which Is the Best Theme for Page Builders? - Duration: 9:11.

When choosing a WordPress theme for your next website, it's important to consider more

than just its aesthetic appeal.

Your theme also affects the experience of building your site, so you'll want to pick

one that fits your design style.

If you like using page builders, for instance, your decision will often come down to OceanWP

vs Astra vs GeneratePress.

By default, WordPress offers a streamlined editor that makes it pretty easy to create

and design content.

However, this editor can be a bit lacking in terms of flexibility and options.

That's why there are so many popular page builders.

These tools enable you to drag and drop pre-built elements, and arrange them precisely within

your pages and posts.

These three multi-use themes are popular, well-reviewed and supported.

Every theme is, of course, compatible with many of the most popular page builder plugins.

First up, OceanWP places a strong emphasis on style.

This theme offers lots of demos you can use to customize the look and feel of your site.

It's applicable for a wide range of uses but is particularly well-suited to e-commerce

sites, and integrates very well with WooCommerce.

Astra will also help you to create a stylish website, although its primary concern is performance.

This is an extremely lightweight theme that keeps your site running fast on the front

and back ends.

It's highly customizable even for non-coders, although it also offers plenty of features

for developers to take advantage of.

Finally, we come to GeneratePress.

This last theme maintains a solid balance between providing plenty of features and keeping

things as lightweight as possible.

The developers focused heavily on ease of use, so there's no steep learning curve.

It's time to see what OceanWP vs Astra vs GeneratePress looks like in action.

We're going to talk briefly about what's involved in installing each free theme.

Then, we'll take a look at the process of setting them up.

OceanWP offers a variety of demo content, which you can install using the included Demo

Import extension.

There are basic options and specially-designed Pro Demos.

These demos are quite professional on the whole.

Here's the Store demo, for an example of what you'll get as a starting point.

To help you manage all of your themes, extensions, and everything else, there's a handy Theme

Panel tab that keeps it all organized.

Since you'll be adding a lot of content if you install all of OceanWP's extensions,

this is a useful feature.

Next, you'll probably want to head over to the Customizer to start making changes.

There are a lot of options here – so many, in fact, that it can be a little overwhelming

to new users.

It's all organized reasonably well, but it will take some work to discover everything

this theme has to offer.

Adding a new theme in WordPress it's easy.

Search for the ASTRA theme in the Appearance section of your dashboard and then click on

the install button.

Getting the demo content set up for Astra is a bit convoluted.

You'll need to install a free plugin called Astra Starter Sites

from the WordPress Plugin Directory, first.

After installing the plugin, you'll find the demo sites under Appearance → Astra Sites.

You'll need to select whether you're using Elementor or Beaver Builder

since this affects the selection.

The demos themselves are well put-together and professional, if not quite as stylish

as OceanWP's options.

There are some nice starting designs, however, such as the Product Landing Page demo.

Under the Appearance tab, you'll also see a section called Astra Options.

This gives you a snapshot of your design options.

The links here lead to the Customizer, however, so you're better off going straight there instead.

The organization here is more streamlined than with OceanWP, giving you some basic choices

to start with and then slowly expanding to show the wide range of options on offer.

Overall, it's easy to get a quick grasp of what you can do with this theme and start

working right away.

Last but not least, let's check out GeneratePress.

After completing the installation, you'll want to head to Appearance.

This is a simple way to customize the features your site contains, and keep it from getting cluttered.

Unlike the last two themes, GeneratePress doesn't offer pre-built sites or demos.

Instead, you'll want to head straight to the Customizer to start tweaking your site's appearance.

The settings here are clearly organized and easy to find

Overall, this theme presents the quickest setup process, since it's more streamlined

than OceanWP or Astra.

It's also the easiest to understand quickly, without the need for documentation.

To sum up, here's our ranking for how easy it is to set up each site.

Keep in mind that GeneratePress wins out partially for its clear instructions and organization,

but also because it offers the least features and options to sort through.

For a balance between design flexibility and ease of use, Astra is probably the better choice.

Astra is a solid option that offers an excellent balance between features, pricing, and ease of use.

It provides a ton of customization options, quality support

and documentation, and impressive performance.

Crucially, it also offers the most in terms of page builder compatibility.

Of course, this doesn't mean GeneratePress and OceanWP are poor quality options.

If you're looking for something a little more simple and streamlined, GeneratePress

is easy to get started with.

OceanWP, on the other hand, should probably be your go-to theme if you're looking to

design the best-looking site possible.

What if you're looking for a theme that's more streamlined, and cuts out some of the

'fluff' without losing any important functionality?

In that case, you may want to consider Hestia.

This multipurpose theme is great for a wide range of applications, although it's particularly

well-suited to startups and WooCommerce stores.

Its Live Customizer makes it simple to design and tweak your site until it's just right,

even if you have little to no experience in web design.

Plus, there's a lot of demo content and customization options on offer.

Most importantly, Hestia is designed to work seamlessly with the most popular page builder plugins.

This makes it an excellent choice if you need a theme that integrates with your favorite

page builder but is a little more user-friendly than OceanWP, Astra, or GeneratePress.

Even better, it's a completely free theme and enables you

to get your site off the ground very quickly.

Picking the right WordPress theme is an important consideration and one that shouldn't be rushed.

If you put some thought into how you'll actually be using your theme beforehand, for

example, by knowing what page builder plugin you'll use, you'll be setting yourself up for success.

Let us know which is your favorite WordPress theme in the comments section below, and then

check out the next video with even more themes you can get for free.

World War 2 for Kids - Duration: 9:16.

*Up Beat Music*

Ten Hut

At ease.

Hi, My name's Willy and I'm here to tell you about World War 2.

Now hopefully you've been briefed on World War 1,

because that's where we're picking up from, is the end of World War 1.

The collapse of the central powers

Germany

Austria-Hungary

Bulgaria

and the Ottoman Empire,

which includes Turkey,

brought about the end of World War 1.

This collapse brought a treaty, a very important treaty,

It's the treaty of Versailles.

And this treaty of Versailles was signed in the palace of Versailles.

In France, in the Hall of Mirrors.

Now it's not really a lot of mirrors,

but it was just like some art work and it was like really cool.

They signed this treaty, which required Germany

to give back all the land they required during World War 1.

They had to fully disarm,

meaning they had to give up all their guns, their tanks and their planes.

And they had to pay back billions of dollars in damages,

that's a lot of scratch.

So the end of World War 1 brought prosperity to the United States.

Excuse me while I slip into something more comfortable.

Ah yeah, that's much better.

*Sniffle*

Ahhhhh.

The roaring twenties,

It was fantastic.

The dancing.

*Singing* Charleston, charleston, che, che che, che, Charleston.

Everybody was dancing, everybody was having a great time.

It was a time of wonderful automobiles,

and the growth of industry.

Women won the right to vote, which was fantastic.

The world was working to recover from the devastation

of World War 1.

But then in 1929, when the stock market crashed,

it threw not only the United States into a depression

but the whole world went into a depression.

Food was scarce, things were hard to come by.

The depression covered the globe and and most everyone was in despair.

The world was ripe again for discontent,

and discontent brings war.

And then 1933, a gentleman by the name of Adolph Hitler

rose to power

and became the chancellor of Germany.

and as head of the Nazi party

Hitler did not want to abide by the Versailles treaty.

He rebelled.

Hitlers position was that Germany should not, could not and would not abide by the treaty of Versailles.

An alliance was formed, Hitler of Nazi Germany

the fascist regime of Italy with its dictator Mussolini,

and Emperor Hirohito of the Empire of Japan.

Formed the axis powers

each regime had its individual goals to expand their power,

and control through out the region of the world.

and though each member agreed not to interfere with each other,

they, however, did not combine their efforts

they rarely assisted each other

they didn't have a plan.

Tensions ran high through out Europe,

In 1935, Benito Mussolini,

sought to enlarge his power and influence by aggressively colonizing cross the mediterranean sea.

the country of Ethiopia and Northern Africa.

And the Empire of Japan continued its hostilities against China

and through out Asia and the islands of the pacific ocean.

OK this is the important part.

Great Britain and France declared war against Nazi Germany,

when Hitler invaded Poland in 1939.

You got that?

This bold act of violence occurred unprovoked, Poland was no threat.

Now those who opposed the Axis powers were called the Allies,

or the Allied powers.

They were France, Great Britain, Belgium,

Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa,

Poland, China, Greece, the Netherlands,

the countries belonging to the United Kingdom,

and Yugoslavia.

Canada, Australia, Brazil, and the Soviet Union

later joined with the Allies.

The United States did not join up with the Allied powers at this time,

but provided money and war materials.

In London the klaxon sound of the air raid siren,

struck fear and terror with all the civilians and it meant one thing,

run to a bomb shelter!

The London blitz during 1940 and 41, was a series of bombing raids by the Nazi's.

London was bombed 71 times.

Other cities in England were also bombed.

England did not surrender, they continued their work of resistance to Hitler,

and the evil Nazi attempt to overtake all in its path.

The Nazi regime was responsible for carrying out

one of the most despicable acts of genocide ever imagined

called the great Holocaust, the Nazi's gathered 11 million Jews

and those who the Nazi's deemed undesirable

and imprisoned them in concentration camps.

Many people lost their lives, it was a sad time in the world.

The United States was not fully involved in the war until Japan bombed

the U.S. naval fleet unprovoked on the island of Oahu,

territory of Hawaii, on December 7th 1941.

Pearl Harbor.

We lost a lot of great men and women that day.

The very next day the U.S. of A. under the president of Franklin D. Roosevelt

declared war on Japan.

The United States joined the Allies to help prevent the spread of tyranny across the globe.

The battle of Midway was an important victory

for the Americans against Japan in the Pacific.

Many battles would be fought, some lost and some won by the Allied powers

but a series of important victories began to decisively change the tide.

The invasion of Italy by the Allies, resulted in the surrender of Mussolini

and his fascist regime.

And on June 6th 1944, the Allies stormed the beaches of Normandy, France

D-Day also known as the code name Operation Overlord

was an important victory because it reversed the course of World War 2.

Breaking the Nazi grip on France, and setting the stage for the liberation of Europe.

And later at the battle for Paris, Nazi Germany surrendered to Allies

and France became free once again.

The Battle of the Bulge was the last major battle of the western front.

Taking place in a densely forested Ardennes region of Wallonia in eastern Belgium,

north east France and Luxembourg,

in December of 1944.

Germany launched counter offensive in hopes of turning the tides of war

in Hitlers favor.

Hitlers armies took the Allies by surprise

but after a hard fought battle the Allies were victorious!

The armies of Imperial Japan continued their aggression against he United States

in the theater of the pacific.

until August 6th, 1945.

When then President Harry S Truman ordered the most devastating weapon

ever conceived...

The Atomic Bomb.

To be dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

The only nuclear bombs to be used in warfare.

Japan then offered their unconditional surrender.

World War 2 would reveal some of the most despicable people

who would ever rise to power.

But World War 2 would also develop Americas greatest generation.

Men, women and children would sacrifice everything to assist in the war effort

for the cause of freedom and liberty throughout the world.
