Last week Wales recorded some of the highest temperatures in the UK after days of baking sunshine
    Despite a Met Office weather warning for thunderstorms in the south of the country - warm conditions have continued with temperatures remaining in the high twenties
    After some showers in the early part of Monday, in the south conditions look to remain very warm or hot through next week
    Most areas of Wales will remain dry throughout Monday and Tuesday, with some breezy weather in along the west coast
    On Wednesday and Thursday forecasters are already warning that the persistent hot weather could again lead to thundery showers for parts of the counrty
    Here's what the weather has in store next week according to the Met Office: Cardiff   After a somewhat cloudy and and cooler day on Sunday, it will feel slightly sticky overnight with temperatures hovering around 19C
    On Monday it will brighten back up for most of the day after a morning marked with sunny intervals
   It will feel much warmer with a maximum day time temperature of 28C.  For the rest of the week it will become slightly cooler overall but still warm
   Tuesday will have pleasant feeling highs of 26C.  It will be slightly cloudier on Wednesday with temperatures struggling to make it past 25C
    It will be turning sunnier again by Thursday. Swansea   Swansea was hit with some of the worst of the rain in South Wales on Sunday as visitors flocked to the city to watch the Airshow
    On Monday occasional cloud will make way for a sunny late morning and afternoon
   Temperatures will still feel very warm in the south-west with highs of about 27C
    Tuesday again it will be turning a little bit cooler than it has been but temperatures still hovering around a pleasant 24C
    On Wednesday, Swansea will miss the worst of the cloud but it will be sunny with some cloudy intervals
    Towards the end of the week it will remain sunny but temperatures will not be as high as last week
   Milford Haven   Milford Haven will start the week with bright and sunny intervals
    Cloud will move away as the morning progresses with highs of 26C towards the latter half of the afternoon
    Tuesday will again begin with sunshine and clear skies but cloud may move in towards the afternoon and early evening
    It will remain warm but slightly cooler than last week with temperatures hovering around the early twenties
    Wednesday will be a mainly cloudy affair throughout the day but the sun is expected to shine through in the afternoon
   Here the breeze will mean temperature will feel more in the region of 17 or 18C.  Turning sunny again on Thursday but still feeling a more manageable 19 or 20C
   Fishguard   Fishguard will start Monday morning much like the rest of South Wales with sunny intervals - turning brighter in the afternoon and evening but temperatures will not make it much past 20C
    Those maximum temperatures will improve slightly on Tuesday with highs of 22C most of that cloud having dispersed by the morning
    On Wednesday it will remain cloudy throughout the day but temperatures still remaining around the highest the area will see for the week
    By Thursday afternoon it will be brighter again. Night time temperatures are expected to be a much more comfortable 13C
   Aberystwyth   Looking further north to Aberystwyth temperatures will begin much higher at around 27C for most of the day
    On Tuesday the dry and bright weather will continue but it will be slightly cooler than it has been - much like the rest of the country
    Wednesday it will be cloudier with the sun threatening to poke through the clouds into the later afternoon
   Temperatures continuing to get cooler with highs of about 23C on Wednesday.  By Thursday, the dry and bright weather will return with a positive outlook for most of the weekend
   Porthmadog   In the Snowdonia National Park area it will be much warmer with highs of around 28C on Monday
    Sunday the area saw the mercury reach 31C in some places.  On Tuesday it will remain sunny with temperatures barely dropping from the high twenties
    Towards the latter half of the week it will be turning much more cloudy across the region with sunny intervals expected
    The cloud is only expected to disappear entirely by Sunday. Caernarfon   In Caernarfon it will be slightly cooler than its neighbours
    On Monday there will be highs of 23C feeling much more like 19 or 20C with the breeze
    Tuesday will be a very similar affair with little chance of cloud throughout the day
    On Wednesday and Thursday there will be sunny intervals throughout but temperatures remaining mild
    That cloud is likely to disperse from Friday and over the weekend. Rhyl   Towards the north-easterly corner of Wales in Rhyl it will start off sunny on Monday with highs of 24C
   Overnight temperatures are likely to be a much more manageable 14C.  On Tuesday it will be broadly similar - with very little chance of any cloud or precipitation
    As the week develops, on Wednesday it may turn a little bit cloudy with sunny intervals in the afternoon but temperatures will remain around a respectable 24C in most places
    That cloud will disperse on Thursday with the downward trend remaining - but it will remain warm with highs of around 21C
   Brecon   In mid Wales it will start off on Monday sunny with highs of around 26C feeling very similar to how it did over the weekend
    It won't feel much different on Tuesday with the area avoiding the worst of the cloud
    Onward to Wednesday and Thursday some cloud may move in but there will be sunny intervals and temperatures will remain a very respectable 23C
    During the night conditions will hover around a much more comfortable 12 to 14C
