Waching daily Apr 3 2018

you do you think a bachelor's degree with your extra if your experience with

college maybe you think a bachelor's degree is a necessary key to attaining

success oh I am NOT your role model on this one yeah absolutely

stay in school

look not gonna be real um I think it helps I loved I loved the time that I

spend in college I wish I could have gotten more time I did not choose to

leave I just happened to build Facebook and it kind of made me leave but if I

had the opportunity to to learn for two more years in college and colleges this

magical time right where you get to explore different interests and focus on

different things and meet great people and that is not something that I would

have wanted to have given up and if I could have magically both done if I

could have done Facebook in my senior year I would have done that or or after

I left I would have done that and I wish I could have stayed in college but and

of course there's no doubt I mean there's a lot of research that shows

that if having a bachelor degree absolutely does help increase your job

potential your earnings potential all that so yeah I mean look I mean it's

kind of crazy for you know I'm not necessarily the best spokesperson for

this message but like unless there's a really really good reason to leave

college you really should finish college Dom you know and even me I'm I'm going

back to college to get I'm gonna get a degree this year

Harvard finally allowed me to come back

and I have to say you know I think that this is probably gonna be the thing that

my parents are most proud of me for so so look yes I'm not the right messenger

but stands for most important history what I like to call surround yourself

with with your dream team mm-hmm I called my Josh Altman's dream team yeah

and it consists of of a good amount of support from people that I trust value

their opinion and who I surround myself with I always say that you are the

average of five people that used to round yourselves with right you ever get

that before yeah yeah I totally Jim rum

just made that up right now so I think it's super important to do that so in

real estate for example I have the best mortgage broker who's available 24/7 for

me and we've worked our way up in the business together I have you know

everybody from the best title guy and escrow guy and and all that so I

surround myself with this team of of people who I can trust and they can

guide me in the right directions of whatever I do so that's one way

obviously in any business is just surround yourself with some with people

who support you I want you to read one self-help book it's not a lot just one

per month that's not a lot you can handle that most self-help books are

pretty short so all you need to do is just have a list in fact I have a list

of some of my favorite most powerful self-help books on my website and go

check that out actualize that org but this is this is a huge habit here's why

because self-help books have basically distilled all the principles of success

and happiness and human beings have discovered in the last 2,000 years and

especially the last hundred years there's been so much research done on

how to be successful in business how to be successful in relationships how to be

successful with your happiness levels how to meditate properly the scientific

benefits of meditation and so on and so forth and self-help books are not just

abstract you know very pedantic type of books that you might read in college

these are very practical these are written to get you results

these self-help books have exercises in them they have techniques read those

start practicing those if you just read one book per month for the next let's

say eight years that would be close to a hundred books that would give you the

entire theoretical foundation that you need to master life create the highest

grandest vision possible for your life because you become what you believe when

I was a little girl Mississippi growing up on the farm only

Bukka with his role model watching my grandmother boil clothes and a big iron

pot through the screen door because we didn't have a washing machine and made

everything we had I watched her and realized somehow

inside myself and the spirit of myself that although this was segregated

Mississippi and I was colored and female that my life could be bigger greater

than what I saw I remember being 4 or 5 years old I certainly couldn't

articulate it but it was a feeling and a feeling that I allowed myself to follow

I allowed myself to follow because if you were to ask me what is the secret to

my success it is because I understand that there is a Power greater than

myself that rules my life and in life in life

if you can be still long enough in all of your endeavors the good times the

hard times to connect yourself to the source I call it God you can call it

whatever you want to the force nature Allah the power if you can connect

yourself to the source and allow the energy that it is your personality your

lifeforce to be connected to the greater force in the thing is possible for you I

am proof of that I think that my life the fact that

was born where I was born in the time that I was and have been able to do what

I've done speaks to the possibility not that I am

special but that it could be done it took a couple months to like real I mean

I was 17 at the time I just finished high school two months earlier and I'm

now living in Melbourne I mean I was playing catch up really quickly anyway I

was living on my own in a new city where I had never met anyone two hour flight

away from anyone I knew and I had no money and I was like just trying to find

CAPTCHAs to sleep on at that point plus before you're 18 you can't like sign up

and get electricity bills and stuff like that so no one would rent a place to me

I didn't have any money the whole thing was like I was just trying to like keep

my head above water at that point and then once it settled in and I kind of

got settled there and you know it's working constantly then that's when I

felt like oh yeah I've seen I've seen people make the jump from here to

America so my choices are either stay out you know be good enough to stay on

this show the decades the way some cast members have which you know you'd have a

lovely life in Melbourne or you screw it up and you get fired which I didn't

obviously didn't want to take that okay or try and make the transition to the

American industry you know try and move to LA and do pilot season as I had seen

a few customers do at that point so that was my goal

any fear when you made the flight yes but it wasn't as scary yes definitely

but it wasn't as scary as that first moved to Melbourne that first minute

open was terrifying because I was just you know I like I said I didn't have the

money at the time I didn't like heaven I didn't know when you at least when I

moved to LA like when I did that flight to LA I knew two people there already

who had already been our neighbors and I had my money safe so if anything

went really wrong I knew I could afford to get in a cab drive to the airport and

buy a ticket home and so like I died that's all I needed to know I was like

cool I'm sweet whatever happens like if anything goes really wrong

I can always afford to fly hard and they'll be fine and it ever what you've

got here did ever seem like anything was going really longer yeah obviously like

the ups and downs and like the crazy as anyone who's moved to a new city before

I'm sure they've had crazy experiences so I had all that for sure but that no

it was fine I was uh it would have had to take a lot to make me fly on I was

like I will not be a failure I came here I'm not going home until I've made it in

this business the way I do branding I sell so

infrequently that I think some of you that are watching me the hardest core

need to hear this which is it's okay to sell especially if you believe in

something look if you believe in what you're selling and that's what I'm

spending a lot of time on now trying to spend more time on really getting to a

place where I really believe in stuff instead of just passive not creating so

I wasn't selling because I didn't believe you know and just letting

everything come to me but as I create these you know events Vayner experienced

a lot of events very big on events events are so valuable just watching the

four DS crew is value and like how it's impacting their business for ten

thousand dollars right there I get and you see I know you get the emails the

wine club like $150 worth one for fifty five bucks like I've just locked in

November's it's gonna make all your Thanksgivings ridiculous the conference

$500 two-hour session in my stomping grounds good deal compared to like other

conferences that I speak at but you're getting the wine for free or you're

getting the talk to free and you're getting the wine so like I'm very

fascinated because I'm putting more pressure on myself to create things that

I really believe in which then allows me to sell more and I just think for a lot

of you selling the ask the right hook is very difficult you're passive you like

the idea of like feeling good about like giving out content this and that

and you believe me something you can sell it and you should put more pressure

on yourself to create things that you believe in biggest problem is so many of

you self you don't believe in you're just doing it for the money you're gonna

lose Matt I don't like

Social Media is KILLING us! - Duration: 13:19.

JUSREIGN: I'm gonna kill you and your entire family.

DAYRN: What are you...? JUSREIGN: [laughs]

DARYN: Social media is killing us,

and there are three reasons why.

Reason number one: it's turning us all into a-holes.

I mean, you might not think you're a jerk online,

but trust me, you probably are.

We argue about the dumbest things

with the dumbest people online.

Like, would you engage with the guy on the street corner

screaming about Jesus through a megaphone?

No!

You'd dial 911 and wait to hit "send,"

just in case things go bad.

Everybody you argue with online is megaphone guy.

And when you argue back, now you're megaphone guy!

Don't you get it?

Now you're the guy on the corner screaming about the Rapture

and scaring children! You don't wanna be that guy!

Megaphone guy is scary!

Also, if you feel the need to tweet at a celebrity

that their skin is so leathery and dry

that if you splashed them with water,

it would sizzle and evaporate...

you're a troll, and you need to leave Clint Eastwood alone.

And see, most people don't even realize they're a troll.

But if your profile picture is an egg, you're a troll.

If you assigned a hot key for the C-word, you're a troll.

If your phone autofills the word "snowflake"

and "social justice warrior" and "Nazi" as a suffix,

you're a troll...

and you need to rethink your online interactions.

I mean, unless you're Jason Bourne,

you don't need a whole bunch of aliases.

If you're not willing to put your name on it,

but you're more than happy to spread your hate

under the handle "JackBootSexMachine69,"

you need to stop it, troll.

Even you don't like you.

Reason number two: Facebook, Google, and Twitter are evil,

and they need to be stopped.

Or, at the very least, regulated

like the media companies they are.

Did you know Facebook doesn't even consider themselves

a media company? I mean, that's insane!

They move news and information, and they promote stories

they think people might want to read.

That's what a media company does!

That's like a magazine company being like,

"Hey, look, we just sell glossy paper.

"We have no control over what's printed on it."

And do you know why Twitter won't ban

all of the trolls and bots and spam accounts?

Because it boosts their user numbers

and makes them seem more popular than they are.

I mean, if they got rid of all the phony accounts,

the only thing that would be left would be Justin Trudeau

posting hair pics and me promoting my stand-up gigs.

And reason number three: it's not real life.

I mean, the problem with social media is every time we post,

we think that we're being heard and making a difference,

when really all we're doing is shouting into a toxic void

full of trolls, and bots, and Meninists,

and those creeps who like My Little Pony.

That's a true thing. They're called Bronies.

It's really weird. Google that.

Okay, you're not an activist 'cause you hit "retweet."

Your Change.org petition is stupid

and will change dot nothing.

Oh, have you been dissed?

Are you the victim of a micro-aggression?

Well, don't just whine about it to your friends in group chat.

Trust me, they can't stand you either.

You really wanna make a difference?

Go outside, get involved!

Vote, protest, participate!

God forbid you actually talk to another human being IRL.

So, here's what I suggest.

This is something we should all do.

A 30-day social media detox.

Delete all the apps off your phone.

Don't log in for 30 days.

You want to do something on a bus?

Do Sudoku, read a book.

Finish writing that Twilight fanfic

you started seven years ago.

And when the month is done, I guarantee

you'll feel less anxious, less depressed,

less superficial,

and less likely to argue with an egg on Twitter.

[phone buzzes] DARYN: Ooh, a notification!

[gasps] Seven likes.

DARYN: What is the worst thing about Facebook?

MAN 1: Over-posting.

People who post everything and anything

about their entire lives.

DARYN: Do you have somebody like that in your life?

MAN 1: I'm afraid so, and I won't say who.

DARYN: Is it a family member? MAN 1: It might be.

DARYN: What's the worst thing about Facebook?

MAN 2: Ah, probably when you want to be lazy and you can't,

because all your friends are making you feel worthless

with their accomplishments.

DARYN: And it's all boloney, right?

You know they're not actually doing anything.

MAN 2: No.

DARYN: Have you ever unfollowed someone?

WOMAN 1: Uh, I have, actually. DARYN: Who'd you unfollow?

WOMAN 1: I'm not gonna say the name.

DARYN: A family member? WOMAN 1: Uh, this guy. [laughs]

DARYN: Have you ever creeped an ex on Facebook?

MAN 3: Uh...

Yes, yes. [laughter]

DARYN: Did you feel guilty while doing it?

MAN 3: Yes, I don't know if that makes it better,

but yes, I did. DARYN: You did.

Have you ever creeped an ex?

WOMAN 4: Um, that's my boyfriend right there!

Yeah, the odd time, the odd time.

DARYN: Just close your... Have you ever creeped an ex?

WOMAN 4: Yes, yes. DARYN: I knew it, okay.

Very good.

What's the worst thing about Facebook?

WOMAN 5: Um, I'd probably say all the old people

just sharing random stuff.

DAYRN: Sorry, all the what? WOMAN 5: Old people.

WOMAN 6: She means me! She means me.

DARYN: You don't let her tell you how to post.

You post what you need to post.

WOMAN 6: I'm going to! Thank you very much.

DARYN: It's your account, and if you want to embarrass her

on Facebook, you should.

WOMAN 6: She's blocked me from, uh, from...

Instagram. Is it called Instagram?

Yeah, I'm not allowed on there.

DARYN: Will you ever leave Facebook?

MAN 1: I can't see how I possibly could.

DARYN: Will you ever leave Facebook?

MAN 2: I have before, so maybe again.

[laughter] It may happen again.

DARYN: But it's like the mob. Once you're in, you can't leave.

MAN 2: Yeah, it's hard to get out a little.

DARYN: What about leaving for good, forever?

WOMAN 7: Maybe.

DARYN: No one's ever gonna do it.

Zuckerberg has us forever. WOMAN 7: Yeah.

DARYN: Let's do it. Let's just bring your phone out

and cancel your account. MAN 3: Yeah, let's go.

DARYN: Seriously? MAN 3: Uh...

No. DARYN: See, I knew it.

DARYN: All right, so if you want to be an Internet star,

like I do, you gotta make videos every day.

That means vlogging. What's vlogging, you ask?

Well, that's when you shoot every inch of your day,

and you post it on YouTube.

If that sounds boring, you're right.

Unless you have a mentor, like I do.

This is my friend Jusreign.

He is a comedian, he does sketches,

he's got like a million followers on YouTube.

DARYN: Will I make a ton of money being a vlogger?

JUSREIGN: Oh, you're gonna make millions.

DARYN: That's awesome. JUSREIGN: A day.

That's how it works. Yeah. [laughs]

JUSREIGH: I think you'd want to start off with a...

with a very, um, excited tone, right?

So you want people to know, "This vlog is no joke.

"We're about to have a lot of fun."

DARYN: Okay, let's do it.

JUSREIGN: So, hey, guys!

Today I'm gonna teach this idiot how to vlog.

It's gonna be a hoot.

Check it out!

DARYN: What's up, fam? Today's gonna be super lit.

I'm with my dude, Jusreign.

We're vlogging, it's crazy.

We're probably gonna, uh, send some emails, make a coffee,

brush our teeth. Yeah!

JUSREIGN: Hey, guys!

Today we're hanging out with Daryn.

Daryn, what's a typical day like for you?

DARYN: Well, I come down to this crazy kitchenette at CBC.

I get a coffee from the machine.

It's kind of, uh, lit.

Coffee. [machine beeps]

DARYN: Okay. Payment.

Purchase my drink. [machine beeps]

DARYN: To the extreme!

JUSREIGN: This is really engaging material, yeah.

No, this is fantastic.

DARYN: You could do better?

Seriously, you think you can do better?

JUSREIGN: Definitely, yeah. So check this out!

This is a machine that's gonna make coffee!

No humans!

'Cause we don't need humans! It's 2018! [laughs]

So, you tap a button, you hit the coffee,

and boom, it's coming out!

You guys, this is crazy!

DARYN: Hey, guys, so Jusreign has taught me

a lot about vlogging,

and I think I'm rocking and rolling it, like...

JUSREIGN: Dude, are you-- DARYN: ...the lit fam I am.

DARYN: What?

JUSREIGN: Are you walking around this building?

DARYN: What should I be doing?

JUSREIGN: Scootering, heelys! Hoverboard, a skateboard!

People wanna see you move fast. DARYN: Okay, okay.

JUREIGN: Not like a boring old man!

Come on, get on this! DARYN: Okay, okay.

JUSREIGN: And hold this, while you're at it!

DARYN: Hey, guys! What's up?

Just being a lit fam here on my scoots, Scoots McGroots.

Oh, did someone say, "Who's lit?"

'Cause I'm lit.

And you're also lit too.

Oops! [clattering sound]

DARYN: Son!

JUSREIGN: Hey, guys! What's goin' on?

So, check it out. Pranks are a huge

part of vlogging.

This idiot's asleep here, so I'm gonna prank him real quick.

Check this out.

I'm gonna kill you and your entire family.

DARYN: What are you...? JUSREIGN: [laughs]

It's just a prank! [laughs]

DARYN: It's not funny. JUSREIGN: Yeah, it's hilarious!

It's just a prank! I was just pranking you.

DARYN: Is my family okay? JUSREIGN: Got you!

Pranked! DARYN: Is my family okay?

JUSREIGN: Yeah, no, they're fine.

DARYN: Are they fine?

JUSREIGN: Yeah, they're... I'm not gonna actually kill 'em.

It's just for... it's for the views.

DARYN: You did that for the views?

JUSREIGN: Yeah, you gotta do this stuff for the views.

Come on! DARYN: Okay, okay.

JUSREIGN: It's a prank, bro! DARYN: Yeah.

JUSREIGN: Hey, guys, so the craziest thing happened today,

and I have to tell you guys the story.

I went on a bus today and, uh,

and I didn't have my regular bus pass.

But luckily, the bus driver, you know, he was...

he was such a kind man, and he...

he just let this one pass.

You know, it's moments like this that really shows me

how peace, love, and positivity can be such a great thing.

You know, he spread some love to me, and I wanna...

I wanna spread some love back, to you guys.

So make sure you cop my merch, down below.

My love sweatshirts, 15% off sale,

if you use "bus pass." My code "bus pass."

Cop 'em now before they're gone.

DARYN: Oh, my God, that was amazing.

JUSREIGN: Yeah. DARYN: I think I got it.

I got another story. I think I got it.

JUSREIGN: Okay, cool. DARYN: Hey guys,

last night I... I ran over a dog with my car.

And I saw the owner, and the owner was crying.

So then I reversed to talk to the owner,

and I hit the dog again, and I said, "Look,

"buy my merch, here's a free sweatshirt."

Jusreign, D-reign, out.

Lit fam.

JUSREIGN: Yo, can you crop me out of that?

DARYN: Uh, sure. JUSREIGN: Cool, thanks.

JUSREIGN: Hey, guys, thanks so much for watching

with my man Daryn here!

Make sure you leave a comment full of peace,

love, and positivity.

Smash that "like" button like you would smash a hater

out of that comments section, and click "subscribe"!

DARYN: Like, smash the subscribe, like button!

Click it, for the haters! Hey, guys!

JUSREIGN: We're out. Whoosh!

DARYN: We all know that social media is a drug.

It's pathetic.

And if you agree with that, hit me up on my socials.

Don't forget to follow, subscribe,

comment in the comments, and smash that "like" button.

But if you do want to talk Instagram,

you gotta talk to the experts.

Oh, look, it's my Instagram friend and social media expert,

Huda Alvi. Hi, Huda!

[shutter noise] HUDA: Hi, Daryn!

Were you saying something about social media?

DARYN: No, social media is a great use of your time

and totally a legit career.

DARYN: Are you on Instagram?

WOMAN 8: Yep, I'm there. WOMAN 9: Um, I use it a lot.

DARYN: Are you on Instagram? MAN 4: Mm, sort of.

DARYN: What does that mean? MAN 4: Like, I have a profile,

but I don't have anything posted to it.

DARYN: Scroll through.

Does she have a good, uh, page, or could we do better today?

DARYN: There's Catherine. Okay.

HUDA: Maybe we can position it upwards?

Okay, and then maybe you can take your right leg

and just kind of make like a perfect pose.

DARYN: You always need a wind machine, so...

you're gonna get Insta famous.

There! Insta famous.

DARYN: There it is! HUDA: It's live.

[laughter]

DARYN: Full blast, baby!

How's that? That's good.

HUDA: Keep that smile! Just keep that smile!

DARYN: That's real nice.

DARYN: How does it feel? WOMAN 9: Feels good!

DARYN: Do you feel Insta famous? WOMAN 9: Yeah! [laughs]

HUDA: If you don't have the light, you can't take a picture.

No matter how good you look, okay?

So the light's gotta be, like, right around here.

Do you see that? Do you see this?

WOMAN 10: I cannot see anything right now.

DARYN: But should I get the wind machine now?

HUDA: Yes.

DARYN: This is my favourite part.

HUDA: Hold on. DARYN: Go!

[dance music playing] DARYN: Keep coming, keep coming!

[dance music playing]

[laughter]

I don't know why I excepted more from the dollar store!

I don't know why!

Oh, there it is!

I'm on lights and wind.

HUDA: Look to your left, yeah.

Exact-- now, that is the Instagram pose.

Hold that, hold that. Yeah.

DARYN: Now you're working it. Own it, girl!

WOMAN 8: [laughs]

DARYN: Good luck on your quest to being Insta famous.

HUDA: You already look pretty solid.

MAN 4: Thanks. HUDA: You look good.

MAN 4: Thanks, so do you. HUDA: Thank you.

DARYN: Does that work? MAN 4: What?

DARYN: That what you just tried to pull there.

MAN 4: I didn't try to pull anything.

What are you talking about?

HUDA: First, let me just say you are already Insta ready,

because you've got, like, a really nice outfit on.

Your shoes are on point. Oh, wow!

Those are dope. DARYN: Oh, damn son!

DARYN: We're gonna get famous right here.

DARYN: Queue the horrible European techno!

HUDA: Let's go! DARYN: Okay!

HUDA: Let's do this! Walk!

DARYN: Tiger! HUDA: Turn to the side, go!

DARYN: And look at the camera! HUDA: Woo!

Right, to the camera.

DARYN: Huda, I am absolutely spent.

You're awesome. HUDA: Thank you.

DARYN: I'll see you on the Internet.

HUDA: Yes! DARYN: All the best.

DARYN: Ow...

Goddammit, girl! HUDA: [laughs]

Ask The Expert: "Is it Better to Manage a 0% Card or a Low-Interest Card?" - Duration: 1:22.

A reader asks is consolidating with a 0% interest card better or worse than

consolidating with a low interest rate card? And the answer to this question on

whether or not you should get a low interest rate card or a zero interest

rate card really depends on your ability to pay it back in time. If you can pay

back the 0% rate card before the promotional period ends that's great and

to determine this what you do is you take the amount you're going to finance

divide it by 11 and then that's the amount you have to pay every month to

pay off the debt before the promo period is up. Oftentimes expenses and surprises

happen during the year and that'll throw off your budget so if you've budgeted in

to pay it off a month early you're safe. Now if you cannot afford to pay that

amount every month to pay off the debt, then look at the lower interest rate

that has a longer period of time before it expires a lot of those offers are

18 months to 24 months. Take that offer if you need more time to pay off the debt.

Why Megyn Kelly's Show Is Failing - Duration: 4:56.

After making a name for herself at Fox News, Megyn Kelly was courted by NBC and offered

a reported $23 million per year to bring her star power to the Peacock Network.

This made her the highest-paid anchor at NBC, but unfortunately, courting Kelly may not

have been the best investment.

In September 2017, the network gave her a daily talk show-style gig during the 9 a.m.

slot of the Today show, called Megyn Kelly Today.

The show failed to bring in viewers and ratings plummeted, fueled by countless controversies.

Let's take a closer look at some of the reasons Megyn Kelly's morning show has been a bit

of a disaster.

Done with politics

Viewers tuning in to NBC for the debut episode of Megyn Kelly Today were greeted with a surprising

announcement.

A few seconds into the episode, Kelly declared that she would be leaving behind the politically-charged

coverage folks had come to expect from her.

"The truth is, I am kind of done with politics for now…

I know!

You know why."

"It's gotten so dark and I'm just, like, over it."

The unexpected decision garnered a slew of criticism.

The New York Times called the the new Kelly "awkward," and according to Page Six, an industry

insider quipped,

"They spent all that money on this great political anchor and journalist — if you take those

things away, what are you paying for?"

Debra's diss

Kelly became the subject of major scrutiny on her first day on the job when actress Debra

Messing declared that she regretted her appearance on the show.

When the former Fox News anchor welcomed the cast of Will & Grace to her studio, fans were

met with a seriously cringe-worthy exchange between Kelly and a superfan from the audience.

"Is it true that you became a lawyer — and you became gay — because of Will?"

When Messing was later asked about the awkward moment on Instagram, the actress set the record

straight, responding,

"Honestly I didn't know it was [Megyn Kelly] until that morning.

The itinerary just said Today show appearance.

Regret going on.

Dismayed by her comments."

Feud with Fonda

Just 48 hours after she was dissed by Messing, Kelly caught more heat when she asked actress

Jane Fonda about plastic surgery instead of focusing on the movie the actress was there

to promote.

"You're not proud to admit that you've had work done.

Why not?"

"We really want to talk about that now?"

"It wasn't like I was upset.

I was stunned.

It was so inappropriate.

It showed that she's not that good an interviewer."

Kelly decided to clap back at Fonda on the air.

"I have no regrets about that question, nor am I in the market for a lesson from Jane

Fonda on what is and is not appropriate."

She followed up her defense with an attack on Fonda's patriotism.

"After all, this is a woman whose name is synonymous with outrage.

Look at her treatment of our military during the Vietnam War."

Publicists staying away

A few weeks into the show's existence, fans may have noticed something important missing

from the mix: celebrity guests.

According to Variety, the lack of star power was the result of A-list publicists actively

avoiding Megyn Kelly Today.

An anonymous rep told the magazine,

"I'm not booking anyone on her show.

I literally haven't pitched anyone even from right out the gate.

The buzz that is out there is so bad."

Another publicist, who did have a client appear on the show, admitted that they won't plan

to have more clients go on.

Others blamed Kelly's politically-charged past for their hesitation, with one source

saying,

"I don't even know if it's as much her as it is Fox News.

Because she came from Fox News, she was set up for failure because the industry is so

polarized now and no one wants to touch anything associated with Trump."

Toxic work environment

In January 2018, Kelly's show continued making headlines for all the wrong reasons when one

of its writers, Kevin Bleyer, claimed he was fired because he openly complained about verbally

abusive behavior from top-level executives.

According to the Daily Mail, Bleyer sent a note to human resources highlighting various

abuses and claiming that even, quote, "veteran staffers are looking for the exits."

An NBC rep denied Bleyer's claims, saying he…

"...was let go for one reason only: he was the wrong fit for this role, as a comedy writer

at a morning news broadcast."

Shunning Megyn?

Between the drama and the low ratings, Kelly's home network may be giving up on her.

The cold shoulder became painfully evident when NBC made the eyebrow-raising decision

to exclude Kelly from its 2018 Olympic delegation.

Although it's not clear if this was her decision or the network's, the move was strange because

NBC normally assigns all of its biggest stars to cover the action.

According to Fox News, an NBC insider said,

"This is incredibly embarrassing for Megyn.

Anybody who's anybody at NBC goes to the Olympics."

A columnist for The Hill backed up that sentiment, saying,

"It is odd that NBC News would leave its highest-paid host at home.

[...] [Megyn] could still use the kind of exposure and interviews you only get when

physically at the Olympics."
