I work as an Android developer at Safeguard.

I started researching a connection between fire alarm systems and the Safeguard app.

That means when a fire alarm system goes off, the Safeguard app will give a notification that there's a fire alarm.

That means this connection really helps make the response time really quick.

After that I worked as an Android developer at Safeguard.

At Safeguard we work with open source Boilerplate.

That means we use libraries and software design patterns from other companies

and we use them to create a high quality code standard and also create a well-built app.

Furthermore, we use the MVP-model, that means model-view-presenter.

Along with this model we also use RX Java; it's a library from the Boilerplate.

With this MVP we create structured classes and also create an overview in big systems like the Safeguard app.

George Lockhart: Max Holloway's UFC 223 weight cut will be 'tied' for biggest I've ever done - Duration: 6:14.

George Lockhart: Max Holloway's UFC 223 weight cut will be 'tied' for biggest I've ever done

George Lockhart was one of the last lines of defense when it came to Max Holloway accepting the short-notice fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223.

On Sunday, before news of Tony Ferguson's injury hit social media, Holloway's manager Brian Butler-Au and Holloway reached out to Lockhart, Holloway's nutrition and weight-cut coach.

Holloway had the chance to fight Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title in Brooklyn and it was up to Lockhart to determine whether Holloway could make 155 pounds by Friday.

"It was a lot of math, a lot of calculations and a lot of f*cking stress in a short amount of time," Lockhart told MMA Fighting. "I was like, 'f*ck.'".

Lockhart would not say how far Holloway, the UFC featherweight champion, was above 155 pounds Sunday. But he does have a admittedly brutal cut to make 145 and has not been active in training recently due to an ankle injury.

In the end, though, Lockhart gave the thumbs up and Holloway accepted the fight. He'll take on Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 223 on Saturday at Barclays Center.

"This is huge for Max and honestly this would be so easy to say, 'No, man, he can't do it' and it would be no stress on me," Lockhart said. "But the kid, I know he wants it.

I know Max wants it. He's actually excited about this shit. He has so much weight to cut, but he was excited. It was like he had a challenge. He's just like, 'Let's do this' and I'm like, 'all right.'".

Lockhart said anyone other than Holloway attempting this kind of cut in this accelerated environment would have given him pause. But "Blessed" is a different beast, he said. He's not worried about him not following exact directions.

"Max I know is gonna do it to a tee," Lockhart said. "I know he's gonna be able to push himself to where most people aren't willing to go.

When I was in the Marine Corps and we had to run three miles, it's not like you couldn't run three miles, it's like because you have to do it in a specific amount of time, it's not that you can't do it, it's just that you know what you gotta go through to get there and it's like, 'shit.'".

Normally, Lockhart and his team will work with a fighter throughout training camp to get their weight down. It's a six-week process, Lockhart said. With Holloway now, they have six days. And it's not going to be easy.

"Anybody that follows us and knows what I do, this is tied for the largest weight that I've ever done," Lockhart said.

The big difference now is throwing certain things out the window. Speed is important, Lockhart said, so there are some things he and his team cannot worry about.

One of those things is performance. Holloway needs to make the weight to fight for the 155-pound belt first and that's priority. "We always look at performance," Lockhart said. "We want to keep performance high.

During the entire camp, we're trying to make sure he's getting better, getting better, getting better. Where, at this point, it's not about performance, it's all about weight.

The only time performance is gonna come into play is Saturday night. So, there's gonna be things that we're gonna do that are not gonna be great for his performance. They're gonna accelerate the fat-burning process.".

To do that, Lockhart said they'll have to put Holloway in a "keto" state while having him do aerobic exercise. Basically, Holloway will be deprived of any carbohydrates, so the body will begin burning fat for energy.

"He's gonna have to push his body," Lockhart said. "But it's gonna be low impact. It's not like he's gonna be sparring and grappling and stuff. His body doesn't have the ability.

That would be dangerous. So we're doing low impact, but high volume.".

To compound matters for the "Lockhart & Leith" nutritionist team, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, who challenges Rose Namajunas for the UFC women's strawweight title in the UFC 223 co-main event, is also a client.

In total, seven fighters on the UFC 223 card will have Lockhart & Leith working on their weight cuts. Lockhart does not plan on sleeping much — if at all — this week in Brooklyn.

"It's f*cking crazy, but it's quick," Lockhart said. "It's like a sprint.". When it's all over, Lockhart said he believes Holloway will hit the 155-pound mark Friday morning at weigh-ins and do so without endangering his well being.

"I am," Lockhart said. "I'm confident in the team, I'm confident in Max. We'll do it in a healthy way and we'll make sure he's on point.".

7 companies awarded $25,000 in seed funding and 13 weeks of programming

to pitch for an additional $100,000 from the Abell Foundation.

The Emerging Technology Centers (ETC), Baltimore City's award-winning technology and innovation centers,

announced today that, for the first time, seven companies have been selected to participate

in its Accelerate Baltimore™ (AB) 2018 program.

Since its inception, AB has supported 34 companies that have raised $15.7 million in funding

and created 95 jobs in the city.

The 2018 cohort includes:

At Night Athletic;

ClearMask, the first full-face transparent surgical mask

that makes healthcare more human by facilitating whole face communication

for more compassionate and inclusive connections;

Fleet by MasT;

IsItGood;

Minnowtech

Sonavi Labs;

and Well-Kept Beauty.

Deb Tillett, president of ETC, said, "ETC and Accelerate Baltimore continue to resonate and have an impact on Baltimore;

the quality of this year's applicants was striking

and as a result, the Abell Foundation was generous enough to allow us to increase the total

to seven companies in Accelerate Baltimore's seventh cohort."

Robert C. Embry, Jr., President of the Abell Foundation, said, "We continue to be impressed by the creativity and ingenuity of these entrepreneurs,

they represent further proof that Baltimore is a hub for talent and innovation."

Each of the seven companies will be awarded $25,000 in seed funding and 13 weeks of programming provided by the ETC.

In addition to the seed funding, these companies will receive access to over 16 mentors,

ETC's Incubate Baltimore program,

weekly hands-on sessions with guest speakers,

and executive coaching from Leslie Woodward.

The cohort will also have access to local investor readiness tool Pitch Creator,

a course for entrepreneurs to learn and workshop how to create a pitch to investors.

In addition, one AB company will be awarded an additional $100,000 following successful completion of the program.

Last year, the additional funding was awarded to Chord,

a smart collar that uses only positive reinforcement to keep pets safe within invisible fences, establish indoor boundaries and help train pets.

Chord used the funding to finish the prototype,

sign up its first pet trainers for testing, establish manufacturing partners,

and create a "puppy" version of the collar.

William H. Cole, president & CEO of BDC, said, "Accelerate Baltimore has become a valuable resource

for the development and growth of entrepreneurs and start-ups in the City of Baltimore.

This program provides the right climate for start-ups to succeed,

including access to capital and business advisors, which are vital to the process.

These small businesses are gaining the tools they need

to become sustainable and profitable ventures creating new employment opportunities in the city."

The AB program ends in June with Investor Pitch Night, an event hosted by ETC

and attended by angel investors, venture capitalists,

the press, and the Baltimore tech community at large.

Companies that have successfully graduated from Accelerate Baltimore include

Allovue, NewsUp, Arbit, Artichoke, Fusiform, Point3 Security, and Brinkbit, among others.

The AB program is sponsored by local businesses- Miles & Stockbridge,

Think|Stack, Elluminis Consulting, Harbor Designs,

Capital One and Foodify.

The ETC, a venture of the Baltimore Development Corporation,

is a 501(c) (3) technology and innovation center

focused on growing early-stage companies.

The ETC provides four programs for entrepreneurs:

a tech-focused incubator, Incubate Baltimore;

a seed accelerator program, Accelerate Baltimore;

a coworking space open to innovative individuals and teams, Beehive Baltimore;

and a 9-week idea bootcamp powered by COSTARTERS, Pioneer Baltimore.

The ETC promotes economic development, providing business, technical, and networking connections to help these companies grow.

Alonso apparently pockets €40million-a-year (£35m) from his current McLaren deal but the cash-strapped manufacturer are thought to be keen to cut theirs costs by letting their main driver go in the winter.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Mercedes' secondary driver Valtteri Bottas is ready to step into Alonso's seat when his contract expires at the end of 2018.

Mercedes are thought to want to bring in another star to help them record a one-two finish in 2019 - just as they did when Nico Rosberg partnered Hamilton.

Meanwhile, Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo is weighing up his future as talks over a contract extension continue to drag on.   But  say the Australian will join Hamilton next season and get a car to be able to challenge for world championships.

It is unclear who Red Bull would then get to spearhead their team, but Alonso is said to be mulling over a switch to Renault. Ricciardo has recently hinted that he would like a move at the end of the season.

"I'm certainly going to take my time because I don't feel like there's a rush for anything," he told Sky Sports F1.  "If we come out and win the first few races with Red Bull and they put a contract in front of me then maybe I will sign something pretty soon. "I don't really see myself racing till my mid or late-30s in F1. "So more so I want to make the next period of my career work and make it right – I'm not just happy ticking over and being here..

patched and prepped and sanded down.

Other than that using the PPG timeless

paint it is a paint and primer in one

and it's one coat coverage so one coat

will get it done which means they come

in do one coat they have more time to

spend with Jimmy Jr. and getting ready

for the addition.

It has been such an essential part

of my education at Mount Holyoke to have

so many people in the classroom who

come from places other than where I'm from.

When you come to Mount Holyoke, the biggest thing

is that everyone's really different.

They have their own story.

Being exposed to so many different kinds of people.

It's a place where everyone is accepted,

no matter your background, your perspectives,

where you come from.

When I come back to Mount Holyoke,

I feel so lucky to be a part of such

a diverse, inclusive campus.

Really just having that community to go back to

at the end of the day has helped me feel like I belong here

at Mount Holyoke.

Everyone is coming in with these different life experiences,

whether it be cultural diversity, religious diversity,

socioeconomic diversity.

And it's like traveling the world,

but you're still in one place, and you're meeting

all these wonderful people.

It's pretty great.

It's really exciting to know that we have friends

from all over the world that we can continue

to be in touch with even after we leave

How To Apply For An Instructional Permit - Duration: 1:33.

Hi everyone, my name is Yemi Kuti and I'm here to inform you on how you can apply for

an instructional permit.

So most young guys today always look forward to their happy ever after.

For me, my happy ever after was the day I learn how to drive.

It was an obsession.

I assume a lot of guys were just like me

The sad thing however about getting an instructional permit is that it comes with a big "L"

sign which is attached to both your bumper and your fender.

But regardless of that fact, the truth is this is the necessary rite of passage for

all intending drivers in Nigeria.

So how does one get an instructional permit exactly?

You will need to visit the licensing office closest to you and take along the following:

i) An MOT Certificate of Attendance must be signed from a certified driving school.

ii) Proper Identification.

This could be your birth certificate, your passport, your birth registration or others

iii) A parent or a legal guardian will have to sign for you

iv) You will be required to pass a vision test and a written knowledge test.

Now you are ready to cruise around town….like a learner.
