2017 Ride For The Living - Duration: 2:23.I think the message of the Ride is from the devastating historical experience of the Holocaust
to the hope of the JCC, to the Jewish Community Center that's helping Jewish life rebuild here in Poland.
We never really thought that there could be life in Poland again
and when we saw the excitement of people seeing the JCC and the programs we said we need to be a part of this.
Most of us come from here and here we can do something about it, 77 years later.
It's really important to honor the past and remember and reflect on the loss and horror of what happened at Auschwitz
But it is also important to continue the journey toward life.
Rain give me snow, I don't care we are going to keep coming and we are going to keep doing it every year.
The celebration of doing this ride is really something that you will never forget in your life.

Kindergarten Stories | The Tortoise and The Ducks | Moral Stories For Kids in Sign Language - Duration: 4:09.The Tortoise and The Ducks
The Tortoise, you know,
carries his house on his back.
No matter how hard he tries,
he cannot leave home.
They say that Jupiter punished him so,
because he was such a lazy stay-at-home
that he would not go to Jupiter's wedding,
even when especially invited.
After many years,
Tortoise began to wish he had gone to that wedding.
When he saw how gaily the birds flew about
and how the Hare and the Chipmunk
and all the other animals ran nimbly by,
always eager to see everything there was to be seen,
the Tortoise felt very sad
and discontented.
He wanted to see the world too,
and there he was with a house on his back
and little short legs that could hardly drag him along!
One day he met a pair of Ducks
and told them all his trouble.
"We can help you to see the world,"
said the Ducks.
"Take hold of this stick with your teeth
and we will carry you far up in the air
where you can see the whole countryside.
"But remember, you should keep quiet
or you will be sorry."
The Tortoise was very glad indeed.
He seized the stick firmly with his teeth,
the two Ducks took hold of it one at each end,
and away they sailed up toward the clouds.
Just then a Crow flew by.
He was very much astonished at the strange sight and cried:
"This must surely be the King of Tortoises!"
"Why certainly——" began the Tortoise.
But as he opened his mouth to say these foolish words
he lost his hold on the stick,
and down he fell to the ground,
where he fell among rocks
Foolish curiosity and vanity
often lead to misfortune.

Cremation in Armenia: Cause for Conflict - Duration: 0:59.Today, I want to talk about
the situation of the cemeteries.
Perhaps all of you had to deal with that problem.
And you obviously know that corruption there is thriving.
So, if one wants a good spot,
then with money you can solve any problem.
Cynicism has reached its peak,
and nothing holds people back.
Last week we were
at the funeral of one of our chess-grandmasters' father.
I'm talking about a very famous and talented chess-master.
The head of the Chess Federation is also the president of the state.
I am the vice-president of the federation.
So, everybody knows
that we are always in contact
with these talented people.
But it doesn't stop anyone, as the size of the bribe is $2,000.

Cremation in Armenia: Cause for Conflict - Duration: 2:36.I would rather go to a grave
then take that ash capsule,
and look at that ash.
But when I see the gravestone, it's already something beautiful.
If it is someone's will -- say, someone decided
to be cremated or buried -- then it's their own wish.
There may be people who would prefer it.
After all, we all are created from earth,
so we must return to earth.
I would prefer that [a burial].
I have a positive view about [cremation]. It's a very civilized way.
It has its pluses, and I would prefer [cremation].
- What are the pluses?
-It saves space.
Also, I have a negative view about the features of a funeral ceremony.
So, I think cremation is better.
The tradition was that a deceased person should be put into the ground and [others should] say
"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust." That's the true and better way,
than to take someone and burn them alive!
I don't know, I think it's ecologically the right thing to do
than to just bury someone.
Also, there is not much space, and we don't have much land.
I don't know. I can't accept that.
In terms of space-saving, [cremation's] the right way.
And if people, say, want to respect their deceased relative,
it doesn't really matter whether they cremate him or bury him.
They can still visit the site and show respect.
I won't become maggot food, for sure.
Maggots, beetles or whatever.
I would rather be burnt.
Or they could just mummify me and put [me] inside a mausoleum.
We wanted to open a crematorium,
first, because there was none in Armenia,
and, also, because we were thinking how to earn money,
and also have no competitors.
So, we came up with the idea of a crematorium.
Why didn't you succeed?
It had a lot of upfront costs.
Also, we were afraid there would be no one
who would take his relative or someone for cremation.
I think it's a matter of personal choice.
It depends on what the person wants after death: cremation or a funeral.
Nowadays, there is this cool method, which I saw . . .
They plant a tree.
I have a positive view about that, and, in general, about cremation.

"A Global Vision for Local Missions": The Baylor/Truett Experience - Duration: 0:56.The thing I appreciated the most about Truett and Baylor was the way it expanded my worldview.
I had a local mission,
but Truett gave me a
global vision
of how to accomplish that local mission.
It exposed me to so many people. I got to hear the great preachers and homileticians of the day, the great
religious thinkers of the day, and it exposed me to how ministry was being done worldwide.
If you're not careful,
you can almost cocoon yourself into thinking that ministry everywhere is done like you do it where you are.
But Baylor exposed me to so much. The quality and depth of minds and spirits that are at Truett, it's just phenomenal.
And to be able to interact with them was life-altering.

Cremation in Armenia: Cause for Conflict - Duration: 1:08.I would prefer to be cremated,
as the primary thing
for me is hygiene.
Aside from the issue related to space and so on,
the primary thing for me is the philosophy behind the [funeral] ceremonies,
which is that if a person doesn't exist, then nobody needs his body.
Thus, cremation for me has only advantages.
But I don't know about others.
They have their own preferences.
Everyone has his thoughts on the matter.
But experience shows that cremation is the right thing.
As there are now also the problems of space, money.
Also, people earn money on all and etc.
All that is senseless.
