Chelsea keen on £105m triple deal for Drinkwater, Barkley and Oxlade-Chamberlain - report - Duration: 1:38.Chelsea keen on £105m triple deal for Drinkwater, Barkley and Oxlade-Chamberlain - report
That's according to The Times who say it will be a busy week in west London.
The summer transfer window slams shut on Thursday at 11pm and Antonio Conte has plenty of work left to do. Chelsea have agreed a £40m deal for Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but that's just the start of it.
The champions are said to be close to a £30m deal for Leicester ace Danny Drinkwater.
And Everton's Ross Barkley completes Chelsea's summer wishlist. The Times say a 'firm interest' has been registered in Barkley. Landing all three would greatly improve the number of home-grown players at Conte's disposal.
It would also bolster an area where they lack depth following Nemanja Matic's £40m move to Manchester United. But it will surely be difficult to pull off all three transfers with just over two days of the window left.

Rob Huddler Fits John For A New Prosthetic Leg After Picking Him Up At The Train Station - Duration: 6:09.- [Bob] We are headed to the old Court train station to pick up John Otlowsky.
He had some changes in his limb and we're casting him for a new socket.
- [Interviewer] What are the changes in the limb?
- His limb actually got bigger.
- Uh-huh.
- So it's creating a little... A lot of people when they walk on their leg as
they're walking, their limb shrinks down and gets smaller and they need to add
prosthetic socks
- Mm-hm
- So that, you know, their limb fits in the socket.
Well, John does just the opposite his leg swells up and because it swells up, his
socket is too small and it hurts him, so...
- So this is being delivered to a guy after I'm done with John.
I'll take John back to the train station. He'll be on his way and I'll go downtown
to deliver this to a patient.
- So, you picked up John at the train station. You're delivering that to a
patient. Is it...
- Well, John's going to come back here and we're going to cast him
- Right.
- And then I'm going to take John back to the train station and I'm going to
take all this stuff with me then I'm going to run down to a nursing home in Baltimore
and delivered two prosthetics and cast somebody for a brace.
- That's awesome. So you...is it normal for a company like this to...
- No we're the only ones.
- ...to go out there and deliver stuff and pick people up and everything like that?
- No we're the only company. You have to get this license.
It's called an RSA license, Residential Service Agency license.
Were the only prosthetic company in the Baltimore metropolitan area
that will actually go out and see a patient in the home. If you're seeing a
patient in the home, you need to demonstrate policies and procedures that
you know about home safety and proper care. CPR all those kinds of things.
So me being a physical therapist as well as other practitioners that work with us.
Mike is also a physical therapist. Richonne is not. She's a prosthetist so is
John, but we know that most of our patients are not running 5K races.
They're going to the grocery store or going to the doctor, getting going down
the steps getting in the car. So we know that 80%, 90% of their time is spent in or
around their home. So we go out to the home, modify the prosthetic and make sure
that it's working safely for them. So most traditional ONP groups sit at a desk and
wait for patients one through five to come in every day to adjust their prosthetic.
So they look at just the prosthetic. We look at the person as a whole to
say, "Okay you have a static prosthetic, a device that you can use, but are you
using it functionally? Does it fit well? Is it comfortable? And show me how you're
using it in your home and how are you being safe so that you don't fall."
We're keeping it simple. We have a small location and we go out to see patients.
So, honestly, we can see less patients in a day, but I think our outcomes are
greater because me don't look at just the prosthetic and how it's fitting.
We look at the patient as a holistic approach in functional living.
Nobody does what we do. Absolutely nobody.
So what other companies look at is they look at the prostatic itself.
They look at the prosthetic, the pipe and the foot and they say,
"How can I fix this so that the patient doesn't have discomfort?" Where we say,
"Okay, you have discomfort, but let's not just look at the static prosthetic,
let's look at how you're functioning and how the impact of that activity
affects how the prosthetic fits, and what can we do from a holistic approach.
So patient "A" comes in, says, "I'm having trouble going down the steps."
They come into your office and they're fine with walking, but when they go down
the steps it creates a little bit of a different scenario. You try steps here and
you may not get the same... You may not manifest the same problems that the
patient is complaining about. So, I think that Advantage Prosthetics,
I know that our approach is an approach that "A," makes the patients happy.
"B," we're getting outcome results that are functional for the patient.
And "C," we're meeting a need in the community by going to the patient.
Patients say, "Man, I can't get in today because I don't have a car.
I can't get in today because the mobility van can't pick me up.
I can't get in today because, you know, I don't have a car or somebody
can't drive me." So they cancel their appointment. Where we'll say,
you know, "We're coming to you. What's wrong with your prosthetic?"
"Oh, I have pain when I go down the steps. I have a pain," you know,
so there's... You analyze how are they going down the steps, how are they
functioning, what can you do to modify the prosthetic or to educate them differently
to do the steps so they don't have any discomfort or any pain.
So that's where it is. Now that patient if they came to the office would you be able
to see how they do the steps? No, because everybody's steps are
different. You might say, "Well, you have steps here. You have steps outside.
You have a railing but everybody's steps are different. They're different heights,
different sizes, railings are placed different, not placed. So by going out to
the patient, you're able to get a true... Every patient is different.
Every personality is different. Everybody's home is different.
Here, I've been a PT for 25 years. Mike has been a PT for 23 years.
We've been doing prosthetics for probably 10...combined 10 or 15.
When you add the prosthetic and Healthcare experience of all of our practitioners,
it's almost 100 years of education and training for upper or lower extremity
prosthetics.
We're coming around the bend. We're suddenly in the lead and everybody's
looking around going, "Who are these guys? What are they doing?" So we're trying to
approach things a little differently.

#APeoplesJourney: African American Women and the Struggle for Equality - Duration: 2:59.Today we hear the call for full equality for women and distinctly for women of
color from a multiplicity of perspectives.
Intersectionality is a term we often hear
but what does it mean?
Kimberlé Crenshaw, who coined the term in 1989 explains it with a metaphor,
"Consider an intersection made up of many roads. The roads are the structures of race, gender, gender identity, class,
sexuality, disability, and the traffic running through those roads are the
practices and policies that discriminate against people. Now if an accident
happens it can be caused by cars traveling from any number of directions
and sometimes from all of them. So if a black woman is harmed because she
is in an intersection her injury could result from discrimination from any or all directions
intersectionality in all discussions of
the rights of African American women today is built on the work of previous
generations who have always been a part of the fight for full equality
Sojourner Truth escaped slavery in 1827 and became one of the most powerful
women's rights activists of her time. She emphasized her identity as both African
American and Woman in her famous "Ain't I A Woman" speech at the women's convention in 1851.
In 1893 Anna Julia Cooper addressed the World Congress of
Representatives women saying "the white woman could at least plead for her own
emancipation, the black woman, doubly enslaved, could but suffer and struggle and be silent."
They demanded recognition of both the femaleness and blackness of
african-american women in the struggle for political and social advancement.
In 1951 the Soujourners For Truth put a call out to Negro women to convene in
Washington DC for a soujourn for truth and justice.
A hundred and thirty-two women from 14 States responded.
During the Soujourners last eastern seaboard conference they discussed the organizational tenets of fighting
against triple' depression facing working-class black women - of racism,
sexism and classism. Their efforts were a precursor to the black freedom activism
of the Black Power era and the black feminist movement.
Named for a raid led by Harriet Tubman which freed more than 750 slaves, The Combahee River collective
was founded in 1974 by a group of self-identified queer black feminists.
Their Combahee River Collective Statement was one of the earliest explorations of
the intersection of multiple oppressions to include sexuality.
They stated our politics initially sprang from shared belief that black women are inherently valuable.
The words and actions of these leaders continue to contribute to
today's discussion around intersectionality, feminism and civil
rights that demand equality and inclusion for all.

The Exercise For Every Child With Focus Problems - Duration: 5:21.This is Doctor Safi, and this is another ask Doctor Safi video in this video. I'm going to be addressing
one of the
Main tools that I use to help the children and families that come to me with concerns about focus and attention issues
and it's the focus diary exercise and the whole goal of it is to really help families get better insight and awareness and
Understanding into their child's focus and attention issues because a lot of families they come to me and they ask me you know Dr.
Safi am I am I doing the best to maximize my child's potential
I know, they're struggling with focus and attention issues their concentration. They frequently get distracted
But I really want to make sure that I'm doing my best to help them
Succeed in this attention driven world you know and I tell them you really to best help them you have to better
Understand what's going on with them?
You know when they're when they're being distracted when they're being asked to do a particular task
But they're going off task, then what is going on really with them
You can't really help them until you best understand them you know I myself have focus and attention issues
You know I frequently get pinged left and right Facebook youTube and then I'm even trying to pay attention to somebody
important like my wife and then my mind just goes down the rabbit hole and
And it wasn't really until I started to use something like the focus diary exercise to better
Understand where my focus and attention is going that I started to really
Notice a benefit and notice an improvement in being able to regulate that so let's let's quickly just get into it
Physiologically, what's happening with focus and attention?
the
Center of attention in the Brain is a Prefrontal Cortex
It's the frontal portion of the brain and it's responsible for sifting and sorting
All the different stimuli that are going around you the lights the sound the colors the people that you're interacting with and also
The thoughts that are playing in your mind
And it gets heavily affected by your sleep-wake cycles and also gets heavily affected by the foods you're eating and a number of other
Biological Factors so all these things are playing all in the prefrontal Cortex to help a child stay on task
And that's what's happening at a very
physiologic level for every single person but at the very personal level
you know I seek to understand a child as an individual and what's happening on their day to day basis and
the focus diary exercise essentially Involves
Documenting what's happening with the child's focus and attention in school in?
The after school setting and on the weekend vacation setting so you have the child actually writing down in the diary her journal
What's happening to their focus and attention?
On you have to be any of the school day
Where as their focus was the teacher asking them to do a particular thing and their mind went off track?
Towards the end of the school day after lunch and then after school and then also on the weekend and in the vacation
Setting so how is their focus and attention being affected and really what this does is helps myself as a neurologist
that's helping take care of those families and the family members understand is there a
variation of the Sleep/wake cycle that's
affecting their focus and attention
Is there an effect based on food and the diet that they have or their fluid intake so all these things can be?
Affecting their child and it can be very very challenging to really get to the bottom of it
But this is the core way of understanding it and the other
Phenomenal effect that a lot of people don't realize is when this child starts to document themselves
See the goal is really for the child to on a daily basis with some
accountability by their family members to document the child to document themselves
Where is their focus and attention in these three different settings, and they're doing it on a daily basis by documenting it
They're bringing themselves in to have greater awareness and insight into their own
focus and attention and when they have more awareness and insight into their focus and attention
then they can start to be in to regulate it and so not only does it have an understanding or
Clarifying and diagnostic effect, but it also has a therapeutic effect on the child, too
Which a lot of families that are coming to me they're noticing so this is an example of a type of journaling
App you know you could you could print this out?
You could you could buy a journal for your child you could use a different type your phone
but I really would love to have the families that are coming to me and
Having me help them manage their focus and attention that I pretty much require them to do this
Focus diary exercise something like this documenting on a daily basis and the goal being that the child themselves should document
What's going on with their focus and attention?
So if you I would love to hear from you you know what your challenges are in
your child's focused and attention, and if you've ever documented
journal or it kept the diary about what's going on with their symptoms and
What kind of things that worked well for you and share this video with friends and family members and your children as well?
So they can better understand the approach that I take to focus on attention
So thanks for your time & Appreciate you listening and hope to see you in another video Salaam!
