The role of an SRO on our campuses, you know people (I think) often times perceive that

it's a police officer and it's about - just about - safety and that type of thing on a

campus but our SROs are really part of team Hernando the team Hernando Family and they're

really peacemakers peacekeepers and they build relationships with students that are very

positive and serve as positive role models for students and staff the goal of a school

resource officer is pretty much to maintain security safety enforce all federal state

and local laws and to bring an idea to the children that law enforcement are part of

the community we want to integrate ourselves with each other and have them understand and

trust us that we are here for them we are here to provide a service to them we're here

for their safety for their security once again and we are just people ourselves like everyone

else on the street but we are here for the principal [for the student's] well being and

for their safety Sheriff Al Neinhuis and I have been very invested in making the relationship

work in a positive way so that we can have really good outcomes for both the sheriff's

office and the school district well obviously they represent the next generation so making

sure our children are not just safe but they feel safe so they can focus on studying is

really one of the primary functions of not just the sheriff's office but I think everybody

in the community I definitely sense that faculty staff students parents as well as administration

we feel there's an added level of security and it's a good feeling Deputy Barreto already

in a short period of time has established relationships with some of the students and

I think what's really important having an SRO in the school is that it gives kids access

to a law related educator he's always by the door so when we walk in he always has something

to say and like if we have something to eat he's always like oh that looks like some pretty

delicious fake meat I'm just like yeah I know right?

It's delicious I met him the first time during the news broadcast when we did an interview

with him and I was another floor director with Cassandra he talked about like why he

wanted to an SRO and like how he loves doing his job He seems he's a very nice guy he helps

a lot he's very comfortable like and he's very approachable he keeps us from getting

into fights and everything keeps us from getting into danger around our school he was approachable

he's very nice very helpful I feel really safe with him and I think he's really nice

he's actually really nice because he gives us high fives and he says did you have an

OK day I guess just the safety reasons but I also feel like he is someone that you can

talk to a lot like you know if you have any issues you can just go up to him and talk

to him well he comes around my lunch table and he gives everybody high fives and he greets

us when we come in to school and says goodbye to us whenever we leave the positive energy

and the friendliness the kids express and the sincere inquisitiveness they have about

law enforcement it's very enjoyable I do see myself being here for quite some

time.

Tesla tysons corner vienna virginia service facility. No space for model 3. - Duration: 3:14.

all right we're interesting so we're visiting the Tesla facility which is

obviously right next door to the auto facility in the Washington DC area I

just thought I'd sort of roll through the parking lot real quick and taking

what we have here I like the rims on that obviously a lot of Tesla's and

we're just doing a slow walk through

it's an unusual color for the Model S I haven't seen it brown before and the a

data point I just learned on the Roadster is that it it'll go 247 miles

on a charge and only one of the cars better which is the Model S so and this

car is 2002-2006 yeah but it's still doing the job so we're in the service

area

and there's a lot of Tesla action here

which is not a shocker given that we're at the service facility for the

Washington DC area so I just thought I'd make this a quick look for a minute

I think the goal wings are the coolest-looking thing those rims Balai

the fact that this is a beast yeah it's the 100 apartment so 100 d you

can see the the red calipers in there are the heavy braking jobs for racing

but they've got this car tricked out I have to admit that the rear doors you

can get out of using them hi honey it's

beautiful

2018 Bond Program for City of Fort Worth - Duration: 2:06.

Fort Worth is planning now for a 2018 bond program: bonds that pay for things the city

needs—like road work, parks, community centers, library improvements and public safety.

The city uses bonds to pay for major capital improvements that benefit the entire community--

long-term projects, not everyday city expenses.

And because bonds are paid back over time, they do not require a property tax hike.

A bond program voters approved in 2014 has paid for nearly 293-million dollars in projects,

including 220-million in street improvements throughout the city, 48-million for facilities

such as police and fire stations, libraries, courts, drainage and animal care, and 24-million

dollars for parks and community centers.

Among the hundreds of 2014 projects…

A new skate park at Chisholm Park, renovation of Rockwood Golf Course,

reconstruction or rehabilitation of nearly 200 neighborhood and commuter street segments,

construction of a new Golden Triangle Library, and expansion of the Silcox Animal Care and

Control Facility.

Now that 2014 bond program work is wrapping up, it's time to begin planning for a new

round of bond projects.

This is your chance to suggest projects in your neighborhood, along your commute or citywide.

There are always more needs than money to pay for them.

High priority will be given to projects that upgrade or maintain existing city facilities,

improve safety—especially in neighborhoods and near schools, keep traffic flowing,

and create new parks and recreation areas for residents.

Learn more at fortworthtexas.gov/2018 bonds.

See which projects are being considered… and suggest projects you want, to keep Fort

Worth safe, clean and growing in the right direction.
