Stranglehold is Trek's exclusive horizontal sliding dropout system that provides 15mm of chainstay length adjustment.

It lets you convert your geared bike to single-speed,

or alter your chainstay length to dial in the ride characteristics you want.

15mm may not seem like a lot, but it can have a big impact in how your bike feels.

It can make your trail bike feel more like a dirt jumper or your cyclocross race bike ride like a stable touring bike.

Stranglehold's forward-most setting will shorten chainstays for a snappier handling and a more playful ride.

Perfect for popping off jumps or handling quick corners.

Or, slide the dropouts all the way back to lengthen the chainstays for added stability and comfort.

Great for all day adventures, touring, or loose terrain.

Longer chainstay length also makes room for higher-volume tires.

Stranglehold uses a thru axle with oversized axle nuts that pinch the dropout.

A redundant bolt and nut system ensure everything stays locked in place.

The result is a system that doesn't slip, even under the harshest pedal loads.

When adjusting the wheel forward or back, the brake caliper moves along with the rest of the system.

So your hardware and your rotor caliper stay perfectly aligned.

Long and stable, short and whippy, geared or single-speed; Stranglehold lets you decide.

Joy-Anna Duggar Pregnancy: When Is She Due? - Duration: 4:04.

Joy-Anna Duggar Pregnancy: When Is She Due?

No more rumors, no more speculation. The 19-year-old is expecting and she confirmed the joyous news herself, along with her husband!

Joy-Anna married Austin Forsyth in May, which means the couple is moving fast even by the standards of a family thats mostly famous for breeding.

In her official announcement, Joy-Anna was vague.

She didnt offer any information about how far along she is, but of course, that wont stop fans from wildly speculating. about her due date.

People published the above photo of Joy-Anna on their website today, and many have commented that she looks like shes several months along.

Joy-Anna had better get used to the scrutiny, because for reasons that arent entirely clear, fans are downright obsessed with what goes on in her uterus.

This has been the case from day one. Even prior to her wedding, rumors that Joy-Anna was pregnant cropped up regularly on social media.

At this point, we think its safe to say no pre-marital hand-holding took place, despite how publicly affectionate the two are.

If youre familiar with the Duggar courtship rules, you know what a scandal an out-of-wedlock child would have been.

Joy-Anna and Austin honeymooned in Switzerland, and the consensus among fans seems to be that Joy-Anna got pregnant during the trip.

That would make her roughly three months along.

As is so often the case with this sort of thing, the Duggar family is remaining tight-lipped about the due date and other specifics.

But that doesnt mean Joy-Anna and Austin arent talking to the press at all. The Forsyths know that babies sell magazines.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth: Young Republicans

The parents-to-be have issued several statements about how happy they are to have their first child on the way.

Theyre quite sincere about that, too. Theyre just not offering up any info about when the baby might be arriving.

"Before we even were married we were praying that God would give us kids and we're so thankful that he has," Joy said today.

Austin echoed the sentiment, adding:

"We're so happy to announce that we're pregnant. When we found out we were pregnant we were both extremely happy and felt blessed."

Yes, these two certainly arent giving away any clues, but they sure do love talking about how they love each other and babies.

Many fans have pointed out that Duggar women typically share pregnancy news at the end of their first trimester, which is pretty standard.

That would mean Joy-Anna is likely due in February.

Whatever the case, well likely find out the answer at some point, and the expectant mother sounds thrilled to have a little one en route.

Shes indicated that she and her spouse want as many children as the Lord thinks they can handle, which is code for a lot.

Michelle set the bar high with 19 kids, but Joys getting started before age 20, so you never know. You just never know.

Our heartfelt congrats go out to Joy-Anna and Austin!

Jose Writes "What is an electric bike?" - Duration: 2:07.

Recently we received some mailings by carrier pigeon from all over the place

with interesting questions. Jose from Grand Rapids, Michigan writes,

"Dear The New Wheel, can you tell me what is an electric bike?" Jose,

thanks for the question. Electric bikes are bicycles like you've never experienced

them before. It's a bicycle with an electric motor and a small battery that

will help you go wherever you like. But there are a few different types, and it's

important to understand the difference between them. There are throttle-powered

electric bicycles which are basically like scooters. You push a button, and it goes.

Then you've got a category called pedal-assist, and in the pedal-assist

category there are two types. The types are based on the type of sensor that is

used in the technology. The first and simplest is what's called cadence-sensed.

As you pedal there's a magnet on the crank, and if it turns faster, it gives

you more oomph. As it turns slower, it gives you less.

The second is a bit more sophisticated. It's called torque-sensed pedal assist.

As you push harder, the system senses that and knows that you want more power.

Now, this creates an amazing feedback system where when you push harder, the

motor gives you more making it so that you don't have to work very hard to climb even

the steepest of hills. It's because of the elegance of this technology that this is

the type of bike that at The New Wheel we focus on exclusively.

We love torque-sensed electric bikes. You need to get on one to believe it and to

experience it.
