- Hey, Mr. Hot Dog here.
- [Woman] Maybe he'd have like a British accent.
- Yeah that would be reasonable.
(laughing)
(upbeat music)
- Hi, I'm Shannon, and this is my son.
- You forgot my name already.
- I didn't forget but you have to tell everybody.
- Desmond.
- You're going to draw
- A tattoo.
- Draw a tattoo for me.
So first you're going to draw the image.
- Drawing a turtle first.
- A turtle, okay.
Is a turtle one of your favorite animals?
- No, oh wait, yeah.
- What do you know about a turtle?
- They're slow.
- I feel like there's not a whole lot of regret.
- Oh my god, that is so good.
- That is pretty good.
- Pretty good, pretty good so far.
- Well, geez honey, that turned out so good.
I wonder if you're even going to need
to draw any other ones.
You wanna hold it up and show?
- Do I look like that turtle?
- Kinda.
- What would you like?
- I just want something that comes from the heart.
- A hot dog.
- A hot dog, okay.
It has to really look like a hot dog though,
'cause could potentially look like something else.
So, this is a hot dog
- Don't mess me up.
- Okay, alright I'm sorry, let me let you concentrate.
Why do you think a hot dog would be a good tattoo?
Oh, he looks cute, oh my god.
Is he like saying oh, he's got his mouth in like a oh face
- Can I draw like a hat on it?
- A little hat?
Sure you can draw a little hat on there.
Oh my god, this is so good.
Okay, is that for the mustard?
Okay, well, I hope that yellow shows up on my skin.
- Whoa, that would.
- You think so, okay.
Keep going
- It's a relish, I'm going to paint it green.
- A little green in there, yeah.
- Geez, I don't know, I might like the hot dog
better than the turtle even, and the turtle was amazing.
Okay do you wanna hold it up?
It's pretty good, I think it's good.
You did awesome on both of them,
I don't know how I'm gonna choose.
- I like this one better.
- You like the turtle better?
It is really cute,
and it looks like it'd probably be a pretty
easy thing to get tattooed on me.
This is a hard choice.
(upbeat music)
- You wanna get a special tattoo today?
- Do you wanna tell him what the drawing is?
- A hot dog.
- Mr. Hot Dog?
- Mr. Hot Dog. - Alright.
So where we putting it?
- [Mom] I'm thinking right here.
- [Man] I think that's a good spot for it.
Are you ready?
- I'm ready.
- [Man] Alright, let's do this.
Are you ready Desmond, yeah?
- [Mom] It just makes a buzzy sound, it's not so bad.
- [Man] Yeah that's as loud as it gets.
- [Desmond] When did you get your first tattoo?
- I got it when I was 16,
you're supposed to be 18.
- Oh, then you were young.
- Yeah, but this was a long time ago.
- The 80s so no one cares.
- No, it wasn't the 80s I'm not that old.
- Ooh, it looks so nice, it looks like your drawing.
Yeah, he's gonna start putting some color on there,
the ketchup, the mustard, the relish.
- [Man] I think we're gonna do the black first.
- I knew it.
- For the little top hat?
- [Man] For the little top hat.
and then we're probably gonna go into the dark browns.
- [Desmond] I thought they used a real needle.
- It is real needles but they're small
and they're kind of bunched together.
- I thought like, a needle that you use for sewing.
- Oh, like a sewing needle?
- And look at it to make it.
- It's almost like a pen,
see how it looks different?
They're like in a row, there's a bunch of them in a row.
- [Man] There's 15 needles right there.
- Whoa.
- [Desmond] Do you like the tattoo?
- [Mom] I love it, I'm so proud.
- It's a masterpiece.
- It is a masterpiece.
- [Man] Okay.
- Oh my gosh, is it done?
It's done.
- [Man] I believe it's done.
- It is done.
- For what?
- Yes, where is it.
- [Mom] It looks good huh?
- [Desmond] Mr. Hot Dog.
- Ah don't touch it.
- Ah.
This is heavy.
