Nemanja Matic trains with new club for first time

NEMANJA MATIC trained with his new Manchester United team-mates for the first time this morning. The Serbian midfielder arrived from rivals Chelsea in a deal worth up to £40million on Monday evening.

Manchester United new boy Nemanja Matic, with Juan Mata, trained for the first time today.

Matic arrived from Chelsea for £40million on Monday evening. And Jose Mourinho wasted no time in getting the new boy acclimatised to his new surroundings.

Matic, who turned 29 today, was put through his paces at the Carrington training complex as he prepares to make his first outing in United red.

Mourinhos men face Sampdoria in Dublin on Wednesday night and the Serbian enforcer is expected to play some part. Phil Jones and Daley Blind – who have found themselves in hot water with Uefa – were also at training.

Jones, arriving in a £150,000 Bentley Continental GT, has been banned for TWO games after being abusive towards an anti-doping official after Mays Europa League Final victory over Ajax.

The ban means that Jones will miss next Tuesdays Super Cup against Real Madrid and the first Champions League group game in September.

Phil Jones arrived at training after learning of his two-game European ban.

Daley Blind was fined for not taking a drug test after the Europa League final.

Blind and Matic got to know each other at Carrington. Mourinho will be facing something of a defensive crisis for those two matches, with Eric Bailly also missing.

The Ivorian was banned for two more games, after missing the 2-0 win in Stockholm, for brawling with Celta Vigo pair John Guidetti and Facundo Roncaglia in the semi-final against Celta Vigo.

Daley Blind, who turned up at Carrington in his £70,000 Mercedes GLS, was also reluctant to be tested as he wanted to celebrate with team-mates. Blind wasnt banned, but both he and Jones were also fined £4,500 and the club £10,000.

Matic, who has teamed up for a third spell with Mourinho, was clearly delighted to be reunited with the Special One.

Andreas Pereira, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba share a laugh in the rain.

Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe prepare for the friendly against Sampdoria in Dublin.

He told MUTV: He is a great coach and, when I worked with him before, he always took the best from me and I improve if I work with him, so I am very happy to be again with him, especially in this great club so I am happy because of that.

Manchester [United] is one of the biggest clubs in the world and I am very happy because I am now part of this great club, part of this great group.

I am looking forward to start to train with the team and to start to play the games.

Second-seeded American Isner notched his second ATP title in as many weeks afer lifting the trophy in Newport last week

Atlanta was the perfect place for him to keep the momentum going

Isner, who has reached the final in seven of eight editions of the tournament, added a fourth title to those he won in 2013, 2014 and 2015

Harrison, seeded fourth, was denied a second career ATP title, to go with his victory in Memphis in February

"There wasn't much that separated us at all," Isner said

"So I'm happy to win that match in straight sets

very happy to win today

"Both players held serve throughout the opening set to force the tiebreaker, in which Isner faced a set-point at 5-6 but saved it with a booming serve

He then converted a set-point of his own at 7-6 with a forehand winner

Harrison ended Isner's run of 75 straight service holds — dating back to last week's Newport tournament — when he broke for a 2-0 lead in the second set

But Isner broke back immediately, and they held serve to another tiebreaker

Harrison made Isner work for it, saving a match point with a forehand winner before giving himself a set-point at 7-6

"We've both got that competitive side where we want to dig in and win," Harrison said

"I think there were times for each of us where things got a little frustrating, but we're really good friends so I really like John as a guy

"His friend Isner responded with an ace, and went on to seal the victory his second match point with a forehand winner up the line

"It was a battle and took every ounce of my energy out there," Isner said

"Just more importantly, I'm so happy to win this tournament again

"With the victory, Isner will move ahead of Jack Sock as the top-ranked US player

"It feels pretty good for sure," he said

"I've been the top American for the better part of six years now, so to be back in that spot is cool

Storytelling for Business: How to tell a great Story with these 5 hacks. - Duration: 4:54.

On today's episode - Storytelling and why it's an important

skill to have both in business and in life.

Ayo! It's your favorite 9to5 MisFits, back

again to help you crush unemployment and find your dream career; we do 5-minute

hacks on professional and personal development every Tuesday and tell

stories about our real-life experiences around those topics every Thursday, so

Hit subscribe you saucy minx! So question time, when you were kid how did you learn

about things like morality and love and friendship and all that good stuff; well

did someone actually like create a PowerPoint with graphs in Excel for you

or was it stories that your loved ones told you or Disney or Thomas the

train guy... oh yeah.. tank engine? I dunno, my nephew loves him.. something talking train thats funny.

Also, think about how you consume information now, the most

successful blogs, movies or even social media personalities, they have one thing in

common, they tell amazing stories and your Uncle Frank at Thanksgiving..

, although he's kind of racist. Yeah, so why is this relevant to

you? So many reasons! Ah! If you're a job seeker you have to stand out in some way

make an impression at that job interview or a networking event, if you're an

entrepreneur you should be able to effectively sell yourself or your

product, it may be beneficial even if you are a regular nine to fiver you may have

to make a case for yourself or your department at that next meeting with

those important business people, suits and all. Regardless of your situation you have to

be able to make a case for why you're special and people need to bet on you,

best way to do that is by becoming a great storyteller! How?... like this dis..like dis...like.

Whether you're talking to

people on the internet or at a job interview you need to give people a

reason to listen to you, it can be something as basic like, 'let me tell you a

story Bruhhh' or 'True story' because people won't be expecting it from you and

that'll help build anticipation.

Each story should have a beginning a middle and an end, sounds super obvious but you'd be

surprised at how few people actually follow that rule. Think of the beginning

as the past situation, the middle as some sort of action or even the climax

if you will, and the end as the future state or the result.

You know those people who start telling stories and they're just

like rambling on and on and you just nod and you start counting

their nose hairs or you try to interrupt and say, 'Cool story brah'. Don't be that

Rambler. Oh you should listen to this TED Talk by this animator from Pixar.

Yes, TED Talks! He talked about storytelling being like joke telling and

he was like, you should know your punchline, so let's use that as your end

goal; draw some cues on the way so people can get to that punchline already

She didn't pay attention and was counting my nose hair, wasn't she? I was!

We hear a lot of stories throughout our lifetime where

the but butt but BLAH... but the ones that really stick with us are the

ones that get some sort of emotion, you know something

really strong like something that made you sad or happy or angry or just

laugh out loud. So think about how you can insert that sort of emotion into

your stories, this is especially true if you're at a job interview and you get,

one of those like tell us about a time when bla bla bla...,

how can you make it interesting and memorable for the interviewer? So not

sing Ke$ha's 'Blah Blah Blah'? Is that a song? Of course don't make something up but have

that emotional through line through the beginning middle and end.

I mean we're brown girls who've

always felt like misfits in our community and even though we tried to

force ourselves into these like neat little tiffin dabbis (Indian lunch boxes)..I LOVE those..we decided

to break out and just own our MisFit status, we also wanted to remove the

stigma from unemployment and non-traditional careers so storytelling

was important not just to cement our identity ethnicity but also help make

those topics are a little less taboo, in a fun and fabulous, Pavi and Nammy kind of

way. Oh yeah, speaking of brand we have a little video about it upstairs so that's

something that we'd urge all you misfits out there to do, you may face some

pushback I mean as brown women we were never encouraged to

speak out honestly about these sorts of topics, but you just have to do it

sometimes, so don't be afraid to be open about what makes you different, it'll help

you build your brand, make connections with others in the same situation and

sometimes there may be people who don't even know it's okay to talk about that

topic so you speaking about it will provide inspiration to them! Alright

guys this video may be coming to an end but if you're tuning into our channel its

because you want to make some sort of change in your life or career so stick

around and watch our other 5 minute hacks and Getting Real stories and we'll

see you next Tuesday with a brand new five minute Hack! Bye!

Donna, Product Designer Part 3 - My budget and planning for the future - Duration: 4:36.

So I live in San Francisco

and I live smack dab in the heart of a city

which I'm very grateful for.

But living can be very interesting

in terms of living costs.

I really, really lucked out with housing.

I was on Craigslist and responded

to every posting that I could,

which in retrospect was,

could have been shady,

but I lucked out

and actually pay only $1000 for this apartment.

It's a very small studio,

but I'm happy with it, yeah.

So coming from New York,

it was definitely very important to me

that I live somewhere where I could walk everywhere.

That I not only moved my body and exercised

but that I could walk down the street to grab food,

I could walk there to find a door knob for something.

You know, that I can get anywhere pretty much

with my legs or public transportation.

I'm also someone who definitely thrives off of energy.

So, you know, actually living where I am,

I'm right above bars and things like that.

So it gets really rowdy on weekends,

but I love the energy of feeling that things

are moving around me.

So I don't feel stagnant in a way.

That there's museums just a few blocks away.

That I can walk down the street

and just see all sorts of different people

living there day-to-day lives, yeah.

So my monthly gross income,

or my pre-tax income each month is $7,500.

With taxes, healthcare

and putting money towards my 401(k),

that's $2,900 that gets taken out of my paycheck.

And then I've set up an auto-debit

into an emergency fund.

That takes out $600 automatically each month

and I love having it just set up automatically

so I don't have to think about it.

I don't forget about it.

And I know that I'm saving for my future.

And that leaves me each month

with a take home income of $4,000.

And then the way that I do my monthly expenses

is I am very lucky to pay only $1000 in rent,

which includes utilities in San Francisco.

Each month I do $60 to pay for my Internet.

My phone bill is $50.

I don't have a car, I don't have to pay for insurance,

so my transportation costs go

towards taking Lyfts or public transportation

and that's $400 a month.

I have no loans.

And otherwise I spend about $200 in food a month.

Mental health is important to me

so I spend $200 a month for my therapist.

And then, you know I love to shop,

so $400 a month for clothes and shopping

and then I spend about $1,500 a month

towards eating out

and spending time with friends

and doing fun activities in San Francisco.

And all that comes down

to about $190

that I have left over per month.

So actually last year I had a few sessions

with a financial advisor

and she really, I think, had me start thinking

about some more money saving for retirement.

And more money for an emergency fund.

And I have to say that, you know,

throughout my life I've always saved for emergency fund,

and that's really helped me

in terms of flexibility with my career.

That I could take a break.

I could switch jobs when I wanted to.

That I had a little bit more money to travel

when I wanted to.

So, that's important to me.

And then in terms of my 401(k),

I really, this year, I really want to try

to put as much money as I can towards it.

'Cause I know that the earlier you put money in there,

the more money you have later down the road.

So a 401(k) is definitely something

that is my personal goal for 2017,

to put as much money as I can towards that.

I think a lot of people when they think about money

is just like this thing,

but you really have a relationship with money.

Just like you have a relationship with a person.

Some people they might want to avoid money,

and just not think about it,

never look at their bank account.

Some people are like really penny pinching,

and they like stress over every single transaction.

But for me, I really wanted

to have a healthy relationship with money,

to be cognizant of it,

but also to not let it rule my life.

So that's what really spurred me

to talk with a financial advisor.

So that I could start building a healthy mindset

around money and what it enabled me to do in life.

Arsenal suffer transfer setback for Riyad Mahrez - SPORTS NEWS - Duration: 2:31.

Arsenal suffer transfer setback for Riyad Mahrez

Spurs are the only Premier League club not to make a signing during this transfer window so far. But they have made an enquiry for playmaker Riyad Mahrez, who wants to quit the Foxes.

Roma have had two bids rejected and have said that they won't be making a third, leaving the door open for Spurs.

But Arsenal are also keen on the 2016 PFA Player of the Year and they will make a move if Monaco refuse to sell them Thomas Lemar.

Leicester have put a £50million price-tag on Mahrez, who wants to quit the former Premier League champions to play in the Champions League.

He would get that at White Hart Lane, after Spurs finished runners-up last season, but would have to wait to dine at Europes top table with Arsenal.

Mahrez scored 10 goals and provided seven assists as Leicester recovered from a dreadful start to survive the drop last season. The Algerian international released a statement in May declaring that he wants out.

He said: Out of the huge admiration and respect I hold for Leicester I wanted to be totally honest and transparent. I have informed the club that I feel now is the time for me to move on.

I had a good discussion with the chairman last summer and we agreed at that time that I would stay for another year in order to help the club as best as I could following the transition of winning the title and in the Champions League.

Ive had the four best seasons of my career at Leicester and have loved every moment. I feel immense pride to have been a part of what we have achieved during my time at the club, culminating in becoming Premier League champions.

The relationship I share with the club and our amazing fans are something I will treasure forever and I truly hope they will understand and respect my decision.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte joins Prince William, Kate Middleton for private family holiday - Duration: 1:58.

The British royal couple Prince William and wife Kate Middleton are said to be enjoying

a private family vacation in France with their two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Prince William and Kate have both taken daughter Princess Charlotte for her first summer holiday,

along with three-year-old son Prince George.

The royal family of four were spotted at the south-western French airport Pau-Pyrenees

on Tuesday, July 26, according to a report posted on Hello magazine.

The royal couple and their two children arrived in France on board the Duke of Westminster's

Cessna private plane.

The Duke, billionaire businessman Gerald Grosvenor, has been the royal's close family friend.

His son Hugh also serves as Prince George's godfather.

Local reports from La Rpublique des Pyrnes recounted how the royal family four boarded

two Range Rover vehicles with blacked-out windows, as indicated in the same report.

The said cars were reportedly registered to the Duke of Westminster.

Members of the Scotland Yard and other royal protection officers were also on-site to escort

the royal family.

Prince William and Kate's travel destination with their two children is still unknown.

Speculations pointed to the royal family potentially spending a summer holiday at Biarritz, a coastal

resort around 70 miles from the airport.

Some reports also indicated that the royal family may visit a few of their friends and

relatives in the south of France.

It is also unclear if the royal children's nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has joined

the royal family for their summer vacation.

PSG join Manchester United in race for highly-rated Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker - Duration: 2:41.

PSG join Manchester United in race for highly-rated Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Leander Dendoncker, according to reports. The Ligue 1 side – on the brink of landing Neymar from Barcelona in a world-record deal – are monitoring the defensive midfielders progress.

Leander Dendoncker is a target of Paris Saint-Germain and Man United.

Will Manchester United need another defensive midfielder after the arrival of Nemanja Matic?. Man United reportedly sent scouts to watch Dendoncker in Anderlechts 0-0 season opener against Antwerp last weekend.

But the £40million capture of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea will, one expects, quell their interest in the Belgium international.

Jose Mourinho said former player Matic – who took part in his first United training session today – was a Jose Mourinho player and his move had been on the cards for a while.

However, that does not mean that Anderlecht are unwilling to sell £30m-rated Dendoncker, who has also attracted the interest of AC Milan and RB Leipzig.

And club chief Herman van Holsbeek admitted as such when he said of Dendoncker: We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay between €25m and €35m, we have a problem.

Against Man United [in the Europa League] he has shown twice that he has the potential to play at a top European club.

Anderlecht have said they would be willing to sell the Belgium star.

Leander Dendoncker would command a fee of around £30million. Dendoncker has been at the Belgian outfit since his youth days, making his first-team debut in the 2013-14 campaign.

He established himself as a regular in the 2014-15 season and has gone on to play a pivotal role in Anderlechts squad ever since.

Royal Mail, for all its problems, is a bargain at this price, says HSBC - Duration: 2:52.

Royal Mail, for all its problems, is a bargain at this price, says HSBC

HSBC has upgraded delivery firm Royal Mail PLC (LON:RMG) to 'buy', saying the valuation is compelling, despite the risks involved in holding the shares.

Delivery volumes weakness and industrial relations uncertainties have weighed heavily on share price performance, the banking giant notes, but it argues that the risk/reward ratio is favourable at the current price of 400p or thereabouts.

HSBC's 12-month price target is 465p, which is 10p lower than its previous target, though it takes no account of the value of Royal Mail's surplus property, which HSBC reckons is worth 44p a share.

The reduction has been prompted by HSBC lowering its volume forecasts for 2018 to 2020 to the bottom end of management's indicated range of -4% to -6% compound annualised (negative) growth.

"As comparatives get easier later in this financial year we think that there is a greater probability of results being better than our current forecasts than there is of a further worsening in the rate of decline," HSBC's team think.

On the thorny subject of pension negotiations, which may yet lead to the unions taking industrial action in support of a better deal, HSBC said talks are "delicate" but management's proposed defined benefit cash scheme to replace the gold standard defined benefit offering is "innovative" as, in HSBC's view, "it mirrors the actual behaviour of the vast majority of members".

"The CWU, the group's main union, remains opposed, and has vowed to ballot for strike action should management seek to impose something that has not been agreed; however, in the circumstances we think the balance of probabilities favours a strike-free agreement," HSBC declared.

With a dividend policy supported by strong cash flows, Royal Mail's yield of 6% is now one of the highest in the European postal sector and the price/earnings multiple is around 20% discount to the peer group.
