Waching daily Jun 1 2018

My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone

in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.

As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us that 'Captain

Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so

lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super.'

It's Dark and Hell Is Hot | A DMX Retrospective Review - Duration: 9:47.

These days, it's easy to dismiss Earl Simmons as a man on his last legs.

Since his debut 20 years ago, the artist known as DMX has been arrested for everything from

drug possession to impersonating an FBI agent.

It's been a hard life for the embattled MC, a tragic tale of supreme talent sabotaged

by poverty, childhood abuse, drugs and mental illness.

As with many tortured artists, DMX would have his own demons to thank for the rise and fall

of one of the most fascinating careers in hip-hop.

From its birth in the Bronx during the 1970s, hip-hop has often been described as an outlet

for the disenfranchised.

It was home to honest reflections of the social, economic and political realities of marginalized

peoples.

DMX has always stood out as one of its darkest geniuses, no different than Edgar Allen Poe

in literature.

As it was to the legendary writer, the theme of darkness is equally central to the life

and art of Dark Man X.

First, let's go back a little bit.

Hip-hop was in a weird place in 1997.

Fans and critics were reeling from the devastating losses of Biggie Smalls and 2Pac which left

a massive hole in the game.

Music had moved out of the streets and into the shiny suits of acts like Puff Daddy, Ma$e

and Will Smith.

For big-time music executives like Irv Gotti and Lyor Cohen, signing someone who looked

and sounded like DMX was very dicey.

We're talking about a man with one the most unconventional voices in all of music.

His ultra-aggressive delivery and animalistic ad-libs clashed heavily with the flashy rap

at the top of the charts.

Yet and still, Def Jam took a chance on the gritty product that was DMX.

His debut album, It's Dark and Hell is Hot, dropped on May 12th, 1998.

It shot to the top of the Billboard 200 with 251,000 copies sold in the first week and

went 4x platinum in just over two years.

It also paved the way for the Bronx MC to become just the 2nd rapper since 2Pac to land

two platinum selling albums in the same year.

With that being said, It's Dark and Hell is Hot was much more than just a commercial

and critical success.

It was a sonic masterpiece that introduced a new rap heavyweight, revived a floundering

label in Def Jam and changed hip-hop as people knew it at the time.

Four years earlier, Nas' Illmatic introduced a thoughtful and technically brilliant brand

of inner-city storytelling that inspired evolution.

DMX replicated this in 1998 with a menacing and violent documentary.

His willingness to expose personal demons onstage, during interviews and on wax appealed

to people who were either captivated by darkness or looking to find meaning in their own suffering.

The kind of fascination that surrounded DMX's debut transcends both time and genre.

Kurt Cobain, Eminem, Tony Soprano, Omar Little and The Joker have all exposed America's

never-ending appreciation for complicated and imperfect anti-heroes.

On the song, "F***** wit D", DMX opens up about his own mental illness.

Amazingly, he's able to dig a bit deeper on "Stop Being Greedy" with a manic rap

that shines a light on the highs and lows of his bio-polar disorder.

His most incredible display of dark artistry comes in the standout track "Damien",

a head-spinning, back-and-forth battle between X and the personification of one of his demons.

Here, the suffering MC comes to the realization that by embracing his consuming darkness for

fame, he's sold his soul to the devil.

The greatness of this track can be seen in its influence on Kendrick Lamar

who cited that his encounters with Lucy, or Lucifer, on To Pimp a Butterfly were inspired

by "Damien".

In addition to representing different levels of Hell, a closer look at these songs reveal

that while not the most technical of MCs, DMX was an incredible storyteller.

From Slick Rick to Outkast, certain rappers have excelled at mixing rhymes with gripping

stories over the span of an entire song.

Backed by the perfectly menacing production of Dame Grease, P.K. and Swizz Beatz, Dark

Man X was able to dole out memorable tales of crime in "ATF", love in "How's

it Goin' Down" and redemption in his "Prayer" skit.

Songs like the "Ruff Ryders' Anthem" and "Get at Me Dog" highlighted his flexibility

by proving that he could write radio anthems with the best of them.

Given his fall from grace, I felt that it was important to remind people why Earl Simmons

is one of hip-hop's most important figures.

His numbers, talent and influence are undeniable.

His infectious energy was apparent to me the moment he stepped onto the scene in LL Cool

J's unforgettable "4,3,2,1".

When it comes to content and production, X's debut is a perfect exercise in organized chaos.

To this day, his journey through the lowest depths of humanity remains captivating and

disturbing.

It captures his descent with enough skill and authenticity to match the likes of something

as great as Goodfellas.

By giving an unforgettable voice to the darkest corners of society, It's Dark and Hell is

Hot solidified the Bronx MC as one of rap's premier street prophets.

In addition to bringing Def Jam back from the dead, this album ushered in the return

of the rap crew with Ruff Ryders, a talented collective that brought us Eve, Swizz Beatz

and the return of The Lox.

It also led to the emergence of street talents like 50 Cent and Camron who came with crews of

their own.

DMX sits with the likes of 2Pac in my top 5 because of his honesty as an artist.

Both MCs were not afraid to rage against the machine in one song and cry for forgiveness

in others.

Both persisted through challenging lives and careers.

They also stood tall in the face of a demise that they predicted in their own music.

Dave Chappelle once said that the worst thing you could call somebody was crazy because

it's dismissive.

I too believe that some strong people suffer because of their sick environments.

Few make it out completely, some not at all.

Remember that the next time Earl Simmons is on the news for something other than music.

6 Signs Your Body Is Too Acidic And Ways To Fix It Fast - Duration: 3:33.

6 Signs Your Body Is Too Acidic And Ways To Fix It Fast

1.

Weak Bones To function properly, the body needs all the

fluids.

Therefore, it will do anything within its power to maintain an alkaline balance.

That is why the body will try to compensate by using all the minerals from the other organs

and tissues.

In the end, the body will get all the calcium from the bones and restore the strength.

However, your bones will become weaker in the process.

They lack calcium and can't neutralize the acidity in the body.

So, if your bones break too easily or you have osteoporosis, it could mean that your

body is too acidic.

If that is the case, then you have to stay away from acidic foods such as soda, beef,

and caffeine.

2.

Skin Problems Having skin problems at a young age is normal.

However, when you get older, and the pH level in the skin is too low than this can cause

a problem.

Since the skin is one of the main detoxifying organ in the body, it needs to function properly.

But when there is too much acid in the blood, the skin becomes more prone to toxins and

bacteria.

When that happens, the skin will try to flush the harmful bacteria out, but the liver can't

get rid of all the acidic toxicity from the body.

As a result, acne, rashes, eczema, and allergies occur.

3.

Muscle Pain An excessive amount of acid in the body can

make the muscles constrict.

This problem can affect the flow of oxygen.

As a result, the body suffers from oxygen deprivation, and people are more prone to

strains.

Also, this problem obstructs the absorption of vitamins and nutrients in the blood.

To keep functioning properly, the muscles overexert themselves and cause pain and soreness.

Therefore, experiencing too much muscle pain could mean that there is too much acidity

in the body.

4.

Excess Weight It is common for obese people to have excess

waste in their body in the form of acid.

Since their metabolism can't eliminate the excess acid from the lymph system, colon,

skin, and kidneys, their organs try to flush out all the harmful toxins.

However, they are overwhelmed by the increased level of toxins in the system.

That is why the body pushes the acid into fat tissues and causes the body to be overweight.

This is one of the main reason why you can't lose weight.

If your body is too acidic, all the fat cells have to store the excess acid.

5.

Mucus Buildup The body naturally produces mucus as a form

of defense mechanism against acid.

It tries to flush out the excess acid from the body through the nasal passage.

That is why having mucus could be a sign of a high level of acid in the system.

If that is the case, you need to consult with your doctor.

He or she will give you the proper medication you need.

6.

Dental Problems Since the excess acid levels in the body can

use all the calcium in the teeth, dental problems could be a sign of too much acid in the body.

According to a study in 2015, published in the International Journal of Chemical Engineering,

low pH levels can remove all the minerals in the tooth enamel.

As a result, it is important to stay away from sugary foods and drinks.

These foods can be a source of bacteria.

When the acid levels in the body start to increase, people experience pain and extreme

sensitivity to various drinks or foods.

Is Collecting Makeup REALLY Problematic? - Duration: 6:54.

Hi guys!

It's hot and I'm dying, but to get to the video, today we'll be talking about shopping

addiction, makeup collecting and hoarding.

So Lucia Tepper, a beauty um YouTuber who has gained a little bit of fame recently for

her video entitled "Why PR is Problematic" I made a video answer to that as well, I'll

link that here or here, how can I never remember that?!

Anyways, um she recently made a video called "Why collecting makeup is problematic" and

I know what you must be thinking wow you must really hate this girl that you're doing another

answer, no I don't hate her, I just find her topics that she talks about to be very important,

very heavy topics, that she just kind of discusses from her point of view, the way it affects

her, but she's really mixing up a lot of the issues she talks about, so she'll... so the

lines between shopping addiction, makeup collecting and hoarding really get mumbled up in her

videos, so I just wanted to make a quick video explaining the three and the difference between

them, so it's a little more clear to everyone.

There is a lot of people out there who just collect makeup because that's their hobby

and they like doing it and yes, they might buy something just for the packaging or they

might just buy it um because it's a special edition or a limited edition, because that

is what they do, they collect makeup.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a problem.

Even expiration dates don't really matter to them because they're collecting it for

um for what it looks like or they're like me and they don't really care about expiration

dates, you know, I don't care about expiration dates on food either, if it still smells good

and it still tastes good I'm still gonna eat it, even if it's passed the expiration date

but I guess just that, that's just the way I grew up.

However sometimes collecting and shopping for these things can turn into something more

serious, which might for example be a shopping addiction.

Here are some of the symptoms you might be experiencing if you're actually a shopping

addict.

By the way I'm an addict as well, I'm not a shopping addict, but I feel like all addictions

are in general kind of the same in the base of it, why you do it and that's way it's so

easy to shift addictions as well and what really pisses me off is people that go on

YouTube or go anywhere in life and they're like oh I'm such a shopping addict wow I just

so splurged on it and like you know you're really belittling the topic of addiction this

way.

It's the same way people say oh I'm such an alcoholic I had like three drinks last night,

it's not funny, maybe it's just not funny to me because I'm affected personally but

I just don't find it that funny and I'm not sure people are aware of what they are actually

saying here.

So the first symptoms would be emotional symptoms.

For example: spending more than you can afford, shopping as a reacting to feeling angry or

depressed, and of course I'll link my sources to this down below as always.

Then shopping as a way to feel less guilty about a previous shopping spree, so you shop

you feel guilty about it and then you shop again to make yourself feel better um harming

relationships due to spending or shopping too much, losing control of the shopping behavior.

In my opinion the losing control bit is in any addiction the point where you can really

say ok I'm an addict, you are no longer in control and you have to admit that to yourself.

Now physical symptoms are not that prominent in shopping addiction but some people who

are addicted to shopping might be in a considerable amount of debt because of this.

And again with any kind of addiction you have long-term and short-term effects, the short-term

effects of a shopping addiction are usually that you feel elated or you feel happy because

you just splurged on something because you just did a shopping spree but in these feelings

very quickly turn into embarrassment or anger or anxiety or guilt.

And this in effect may lead to more shopping again and the long-term effect of shopping

addiction is again being in a lot of debt because of it or at least having a declining

financial situation.

There is a list of questions on psychguides.com I'll link that down below that you can ask

yourself to... if you think you might have a problem with shopping addiction.

Now onto hoarding.

Which is really what you're talking about when collecting becomes a problem.

Someone who hoards may exhibit the following symptoms first inability to throw away possessions

second severe anxiety when attempting to discard items third great difficulty categorizing

or organizing possessions four indecision about what to keep or where to put things

five distress such as feeling overwhelmed or embarrassed by possessions six suspicion

of other people touching items seven obsessive thought and actions: fear of running out of

an item or needing it in the future; checking the trash for accidentally discarded objects

eight functional impairments including loss of living space, social isolation, family

or marital discord, financial difficulties, health hazards.

So if you're experiencing any of these symptoms, please don't be afraid to reach out for help.

Now the difference between collecting something and hoarding is that people that collect something

usually have a sense of pride of the things they're collecting, they like showing them...

this to people, they like showing their collection, they like talking about it, whereas hoarders

feel usually a lot of embarrassment about the things they collect.

Also collectors usually do not have a problem budgeting with their time and their financial

means for their collection, so they don't go out of their financial means to acquire

more to their collection, whereas hoarders can't really control that.

So I hope that could clear up the difference a little bit between the different issues

and they're not just kind of melting into one together and again if you feel like you

might have a problem, do not be ashamed to reach out for help.

I reached out six years ago, pretty much exactly sex years ago and I am feeling so much better

and my life is great now and I would have never imagined that back then, so don't be

afraid, you can do this!

If you liked this video you can always leave me a thumbs up, you can subscribe right here

you can also hit that notification bell to be informed of when my videos come out which

is every Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday and I really hope I'll see you next video!

Bye bye!
