Renato Sanches backed to leave Bayern Munich for Liverpool and not Chelsea this summer

The ex-Arsenal forward does not think a move to the Blues would suit the Bayern Munich starlet. Sanches has also been linked with Manchester United who missed out on the Portuguese last summer.

When asked if the 19-year-old would be a good addition at Chelsea, Mariner told ESPN FC: "No, not yet, I don't think so. I think it would be a bit too much for him.

"I think if he goes to Chelsea he just goes into the rotation. That's not what he wants. "He's a fantastic player this kid, a young player, a sensational player.

"I think that he may end up at Liverpool. Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently revealed the Bundesliga side are only wanting to let Sanches leave the Allianz Arena temporarily.

He explained: "We would send him out on loan for maximum one year because we are convinced he can become a good and useful Bayern player.

"I had a long talk with Renato and this is a story with an open ending. He does not necessarily want to leave, he wants to play. We all share this opinion.".

Liverpool are looking to overhaul their squad as they prepare for a return to the Champions League. And with Philippe Coutinho linked with a move to Barcelona to replace Neymar, Jurgen Klopp could soon be in the market for an attacking midfielder.

remove that as well and the cable is now ready to be terminated to any category
