Jeff Sessions Is About To Turn Robert Mueller's Investigation Upside Down

The Russia collusion investigation is a crusade to drive Donald Trump from office.

Special counsel Robert Mueller was appointed to dig up evidence to use in order to impeach

the President.

But Attorney General Jeff Sessions is about to turn the investigation upside down.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley has found evidence of a crime.

He fired off a letter to the Justice Department that laid out his belief that Christopher

Steele had lied to the FBI about his contacts with reporters, and that Clinton family hatchet

man Cody Shearer and Obama State Department official Jordan Winter were funneling information

to him for the second memo he wrote.

The Daily Caller reports:

"THERE IS SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE SUGGESTING THAT MR.

STEELE MATERIALLY MISLED THE FBI ABOUT A KEY ASPECT OF HIS DOSSIER EFFORTS, ONE WHICH BEARS

ON HIS CREDIBILITY," GRAHAM AND GRASSLEY WROTE TO WRAY AND ROSENSTEIN.

MUCH OF THEIR LETTER REFERS TO STEELE'S CONTACTS WITH MEDIA OUTLETS PRIOR TO THE 2016

ELECTION.

STEELE HAS DISCLOSED IN COURT FILINGS IN LONDON THAT HE HELD OFF-THE-RECORD MEETINGS WITH

REPORTERS AT SEVERAL NEWS OUTLETS PRIOR TO THE ELECTION.

THE GRASSLEY-GRAHAM REFERRAL SUGGESTS THAT STEELE MISLED THE FBI ABOUT CONTACTS HE HAD

WITH REPORTERS ABOUT THE DOSSIER.

A FOUR-PAGE MEMO RELEASED BY THE HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE ON FRIDAY CONTAINS SIMILAR HINTS

ABOUT STEELE'S DISCLOSURES ABOUT HIS CONTACTS WITH THE PRESS.

THAT MEMO SUGGESTS THAT STEELE, AN EX-MI6 OFFICER, DID NOT TELL THE FBI THAT HE MET

REPORTERS IN SEPTEMBER 2016 TO DISCUSS AN INVESTIGATION ON DONALD TRUMP THAT HE WAS

DOING ON BEHALF OF FUSION GPS, AN OPPOSITION RESEARCH FIRM THAT WAS IN TURN WORKING FOR

THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN AND DNC.

STEELE MET WITH MICHAEL ISIKOFF, A REPORTER AT YAHOO!

NEWS WHO WROTE THE FIRST NEWS ARTICLE BASED ON INFORMATION FROM THE FORMER BRITISH SPY.

THAT ARTICLE WAS CITED ALONG WITH THE DOSSIER IN THE FBI AND DOJ'S APPLICATION FOR A WARRANT

TO SPY ON FORMER TRUMP CAMPAIGN ADVISER CARTER PAGE.

BUT ACCORDING TO THE HOUSE INTEL MEMO, STEELE "IMPROPERLY CONCEALED FROM AND LIED TO THE

FBI" ABOUT HIS CONTACTS WITH REPORTERS, INCLUDING ISIKOFF.

STEELE'S DOSSIER, WHICH INCLUDES 17 MEMOS IN ALL, WAS PUBLISHED ON JAN. 10, 2017 BY

BUZZFEED.

BUT ACCORDING TO GRASSLEY AND GRAHAM, STEELE WROTE ANOTHER MEMO — ONE DATED OCT. 19,

2016 — THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE BUZZFEED DOSSIER."

If Attorney General Sessions decides to pursue criminal charges against Steele it would turn

the Russia investigation on its head.

It would show that the dossier – which was the basis for obtaining a FISA warrant – was

put together by a liar.

Will Attorney General Sessions pursue criminal charges against Steele?

A series called West Virginia Wilder is under fire by West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, who wrote a sc - Duration: 3:35.

A series called "West Virginia Wilder" is under fire by West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, who wrote a scathing letter slamming the show after he watched the official trailer and voiced his disapproval with the way his state and its people are being depicted

Manchin wrote a letter arguing that his state has much more to offer than the rowdy and disorderly activities "West Virginia Wilder" is highlighting

He addressed the letter to Viacom President and CEO Robert Bakish, however, Viacom has told Fox News it has no plans to air the show

The trailer shows a group of young people in West Virginia, drinking, driving recklessly and getting wild

Manchin argued the show is a poor depiction of West Virginia. "I feel compelled to speak up on behalf of West Virginia and West Virginians out of a deep sense of concern," Manchin, a Democrat, wrote in a letter to Bakish

"I believe that you can make a compelling show about the people of West Virginia that does not play into vicious stereotypes, and I stand ready to help you do just that

I invite you and the entire production team to join me for a tour of my home state and the people I'm proud to call my friends and family from the southern coalfields to the Potomac Highlands and everywhere in between

" The show's executive producer, JP Williams, told Fox News: "We respect Senator Manchin, but he is obviously just looking for attention again

We have found a home for the series and it will be announced next week." MTV aired a similar show more than five years ago called "Buckwild

" The producers of "West Virginia Wilder," who also produced "Buckwild," issued a statement earlier this month that hinted MTV was interested in their upcoming project

"MTV knows we are back in West Virginia and has asked us to bring in the project," the producers said, according to Deadline

"We are currently pitching all of the cable and streaming buyers to find the best home for the series

" Viacom, MTV's parent company, sent Fox News a statement saying the network is not involved in the new show

"@Sen_JoeManchin @MTV .@MTV and @Viacom aren't involved in the production or airing of 'West Virginia Wilder

' We do completely agree that there are great things happening in the Mountain State! #WV," the network tweeted

"Buckwild" captured the raucous lives of its West Virginia cast mates and only aired for a single season after being canceled following the untimely death of series star Shain Gandee

Gandee, 21, was found dead along with his uncle and a friend after he had crashed his Ford Bronco in a mud pit while four-wheeling

An autopsy of Gandee's body later revealed he had died from carbon monoxide poisoning

Deutsche Bank CEO is 'sick and tired of bad news' - Duration: 3:47.

Deutsche Bank CEO is 'sick and tired of bad news'

The downgrade by S&P followed reports that the Federal Reserve had labeled the banks US business troubled, news that sent its shares tumbling Thursday to a record low.

Lets be straightforward: the news flow is not good, Deutsche Bank (DB) CEO Christian Sewing wrote in a letter to staff on Friday. My dear colleagues, the last few years were tough.

Many of you are sick and tired of bad news. Thats exactly how I feel.. S&P said the lenders restructuring would be deeper and riskier than anticipated.

The downgrade is the latest in a series of setbacks for Deutsche, which has been losing money for years, lagging its global peers and struggling to find direction following the global financial crisis.

We see significant execution risks in the delivery of the updated strategy amid a continued unhelpful market backdrop, S&P said in a statement. The bank appears set for a period of sustained underperformance..

Deutsche has been in turmoil for years, but heavy losses have forced the lender to accelerate a restructuring that critics say is long overdue.

The lender recently announced that it would slash more than 7,000 jobs, focus its investment banking on European clients, and do more to control costs.

Sewing, a retail banking veteran, was appointed in April to succeed John Cryan as part of the overhaul.

S&P said in its assessment that it believed management is taking decisive actions to control costs. But it said the overhaul would not bear fruit in 2019, with the full benefits not being realized until 2021.

Shares in Deutsche Bank gained about 2% early on Friday, after a losing 7% on Thursday. The secret designation from the Fed took place about a year ago and forced Deutsche to dial back its risk taking, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

The label has forced Deutsche to get the Feds approval for decisions including hiring and firing senior managers, reassigning job duties and making severance payments, the Journal reported.

Deutsche said in a statement that it is very well capitalized, adding that its main US subsidiary has a very robust balance sheet.

The bank is also facing a new legal headache in Australia, where it expects to be charged over its role in the sale of shares in one the countrys top banks. It has denied wrongdoing and intends to vigorously defend itself.

In his letter to employees on Friday, Sewing said risks have been reduced, capital has been strengthened and the bank reorganized.

Yes, our share price is at a historic low. But well prove that we have earned a better valuation on the financial markets. Weve achieved a lot we can be proud of, he said.
