Dallas woman says she killed husband for beating their pet cat, cops say

A Dallas woman told police she shot and killed her husband because he was beating the family cat, according to investigators.

Neighbors said they were shocked to hear Mary Harrison, 47, had been charged with murder in the slaying of her 49–year-old husband Dexter Harrison Saturday morning.

"A man got shot over a cat? It's kind of crazy," neighbor Carl Phillips told KTVT. A man loses his life over a cat. I mean, people love their pets, but it ain't that serious… to die for a cat.".

Dallas police were dispatched to the Harrison home in response to a shooting. When officers arrived Mary Harrison reported that she had shot her husband "during an argument, as he was beating the family cat," police said.

He went to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said she went to Dallas Police headquarters where she agreed to be interviewed by homicide detectives.

"During the course of the interview, she admitted to her role in the offense and confessed to shooting the victim," police said. KTVT reported that the Harrison's cat had disappeared recently.

She posted signs during the search for the missing cat. The cat eventually returned. Harrison is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond in the Dallas County Jail.

The match was just too amazing

I think that there is no loser today

Actually before the match

through the tournament, I wanted to...the ball

including variations during the match

and the philosophy of technique and tactics

I wanted to blend them in better in the match

I tried to fight point by point whether leading or trailing

Both sides gave their all

I guess I put up a good performance

Your game gives off the a sturdier feeling

Actually, I think that's still not enough

It feels obvious to me my thinking has changed on the linking of many shots

but the appearance of the strokes is a little inadequate

I feel there's a need to strengthen the impression

through some training and competitions

After all, perhaps I'm stuck with the old thinking too much

It's quite difficult to change

Obviously, I have created seven steps for posing people because it's sounds good

Seven is the easy number

to remember and

the main idea of the steps is to give you a framework

to effectively direct people in different situations.

When we have ready to go step-by-step instructions, we tend to complete the task easily

So let me quickly go over 7 steps

before we go into the details.

As we all know

photography is 80% of thinking and 20% of shooting. Starting by finding inspiration

and understanding the purpose of the photo is actually number one step.

And then you have a clear idea in your mind

you need to share this idea with your subject and understand what's going on in your subject mind as well

That's where your communication and people's skills are the most effective.

Your photography skills actually start at step number three

where you need to understand that our

vision is

stereoscopic vision, and a picture

that we see with our two eyes is

quite different from the picture that we see through the camera

A lot of distortion will depends on your camera lens, depth of field, the angle you are shooting subject from,

and the position of the person is in

From here you start posing a person you photograph and you don't start posing someone by saying

'Smile and look at the camera!"

We want to start posing by

finding the pose for whole body first. Start from overall picture and then work on the details

Firstly, we decide if the person sitting, standing, lying, jumping and then we direct the hands and

then we capture genuine emotions by playing

with different expressions.

All of these steps

lead to the step number seven "Creating the flow"

What we want is to encourage subtle movements of the subject to find this perfect

flattering position and genuine expression

We don't need 20 ok photos of the person

we need ONE great ONE
