Xero, QBO, or Both? | Business Process Improvement for Your Ecommerce Accounting Company - Duration: 4:41.

hey it's patti scharf CPA and co-founder of catching clouds the leader in

e-commerce accounting today I want to just tell you about a conversation I was

having with a couple of other accountants they both specialize in

e-commerce and one of them was saying hey I've got this opportunity to work

with a client but they want to use QuickBooks Online so you know what what

would you guys say or do in this situation

and one of the other people in a group was like well you know you could

consider working with QuickBooks on I know you're a hundred percent zero only

but you you could consider working with QuickBooks Online and you know maybe

opening up additional markets and more services and I was just like oh oh no

and it's not because I don't like QuickBooks Online it's I've got a couple

of thoughts on this and one is the the ik at the the clients that we're serving

they aren't accountants that's why they're coming to us and they are

trusting us to know the right tools to use for them so I would hope that they

would place enough trust in us to pick that tool if they're really

adamant and they maybe they are super tech savvy maybe they're our CPA and

just want somebody else to do the day-to-day bookkeeping great fine and

and they love QuickBooks Online great I would just be like let me introduce you

just somebody else who uses QuickBooks Online but I wouldn't change my own

practice and work with other tools and let me give you a little bit more

context on this so I actually used QuickBooks QuickBooks desktop and

QuickBooks Online QuickBooks it like all the QuickBooks is from like 2005 to 2016

as late as 2016 we had one last client that we didn't have the heart to fire

until we were like we just can't do it anymore

unless I want to just do the bookkeeping forever more so so we I've used

QuickBooks a lot I've got no problems with QuickBooks but here's what happened

back in 2013 I think maybe even earlier maybe two

thousand twelve but definitely 2013 I was like okay I need somebody else in

here to help with the bookkeeping and I'm not gonna do it all myself I'm

building a business and not a job so I need to standardize my processes and

things like that so I was like okay well with this situation with QuickBooks

Online and integrated with Bill comm for example you do it this way and with Xero

and Bill comm it goes the other way and it was just I found that I was having to

duplicate all of the processes it was super confusing for my team when when

people weren't as tech savvy as me it was really hard to train them because

they just be they get mixed up about you know not understanding the workflow and

things like that so so I made the conscious decision and it was a

strategic decision in 2013 to only pick one tool and run with it and that ended

up being zero partially because I just loved it the more you 0 the more I liked

it the more I used QuickBooks Online the more hated it

but that's a personal preference thing but the other reason was around that

time we started specializing in e-commerce businesses and at that time

it blew away the competition as far as being able to integrate with other

systems and things like that so it was really a no-brainer for me to become 0

only and I would never pick up well never say never but I have no intention

of picking up another tool just because it's not necessary you can do everything

with Xero that you could with QuickBooks Online and I would say vice-versa too so

it really comes down to personal preference you hear me say this all the

time over and over I guess that's my soapbox

How to View Stats for Your Infusionsoft Broadcast Email - Duration: 2:15.

Hey, this is Sabrina, lead trainer, Ballen Brands, and today I'm going to show you how

you can find the stats for your broadcast emails that you sent out.

Now these are separate from your campaigns.

These are just single emails that you sent out to a certain, a certain group of people

in your database.

So to do that, you're going to go up to your Infusionsoft icon here, you're going to go

to marketing, and then inside of marketing you can go to email and broadcasts and then

view email broadcasts.

So once you're in here, you can choose, by who sent the email the date range that it

was sent by the email name.

So there's a few different search criteria that you can do.

For now, I'm just going to look for emails that I sent, and I'm just going to do all

of them.

So I'm going to go ahead and hit search.

So this shows all the mass broadcast emails that I have sent.

Now in here, you can see the subject name, um, that it was sent by me.

If I used a template, you can see the status it was sent or if it was stopped by the user

and it, it'll show you how many people you sent it to.

And then if you want to view more details you can hit view under report and it's going

to show you more details here.

So it's going to show you how many people you sent it to, how many opens there were,

how many clicks there were, how many unopened.

How many people didn't open your email.

How many people opted in if you had an opt in option, opt out, a bounces, meaning their

email, it didn't send their email, bounced back, so they may have had an invalid email

or their system redirected your email.

01:38 And then you can see if there were any complaints, which is due to unsubscribes and

they can complain.

One, when they go through the unsubscribe process, if they mark it as spam or junk,

that counts as a complaint.

And then it shows you the percentages here and it shows you all the details of the actual

email on the left, including an option to view the email that you sent.

So that's how to view the stats for a broadcast email that you've sent in Infusionsoft.

My name is Chris DiGiovanni, and I am the chief of the Foot and Ankle service at Mass

General Hospital, and I'm one of the vice-chairman at Harvard Medical School in the Department

of Orthopedics.

So my specialty is foot and ankle, and the patient we're going to take care of today,

I've been taking care of for almost 15 years.

He's a gentleman in his mid-forties and had a bad fall many years ago in which he sustained

a very severe fracture of his heel bone, his calcaneus, so we put it back together back then.

It was in many pieces and over the years eventually took his hardware out, but he healed everything well.

And since he damaged this bone and joint, he developed significant arthritis.

So he's got post-traumatic arthritis.

And today we're taking him to surgery to fuse his joint because he is no longer amenable

to conservative management.

We - we've exhausted all different means of trying to - to palliate his symptoms, and

he can't tolerate this anymore.

So this is the base of the sinus right here.

You can actually see quite nicely, and it's all the ligaments over the top of the subtalar joint.

There are several of them.

You'll probably take a Bovie, and I would basically go in like this, okay?

Very superficially and just be careful as you go inferiorly because you're gonna have

your peroneals nearby, and that's probably them right there.

Exactly.

So he's staying above his peroneal tendons, which is very important.

Once he knows where those are, this becomes a much easier procedure.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A judge ruled that a Florida police officer must stand trial for the fatal shooting of a stranded black motorist, saying his retelling of what happened was "unreliable and not credible

"  Circuit Judge Samantha Schosberg Feuer wrote that fired Palm Beach Gardens officer Nouman Raja's statements after the 2015 shooting of 31-year-old Corey Jones are not supported by an audiotape of the shooting and other physical evidence, such as the location of the bullet casings, and therefore he isn't protected by the state's "stand your ground" law

 She said Raja's trial on manslaughter and attempted murder charges should proceed

 She said she found Raja's use of deadly force, "was not objectively reasonable and not justified under the law

" Raja's attorney, Richard Lubin, said he plans to file an appeal next week, which will likely delay the trial's scheduled July start

Without going into specifics, he said he disagreed with Judge Feuer's conclusions and how she applied the law

The Palm Beach County State Attorney's office declined comment. Raja shot Jones alongside a darkened highway ramp where Jones' SUV broke down

Raja was dressed in plainclothes and driving an unmarked van. Prosecutors say he never identified himself as an officer, causing Jones to mistake him for a robber and pull a handgun

Jones had a concealed weapons permit. Raja, 40, is of South Asian descent and his lawyers claimed he should be protected under Florida's "stand your ground" law, which gained national prominence in 2012 after neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman fatally shot black teenager Trayvon Martin

It says people have no obligation to retreat if threatened and can use deadly force if they believe it necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm

However, it does not allow an altercation's instigator to use deadly force. Feuer agreed with prosecutors, who said at a two-day hearing last month that Raja's actions made him the instigator

Jones, a housing inspector and part-time drummer, parked his broken-down SUV on an Interstate 95 off-ramp as he returned home from his reggae band's performance

Raja, working undercover to catch car burglars, spotted the SUV and drove the wrong way up the off-ramp just before 3:15 a

m. Raja got out of his unmarked white van and walked toward Jones, who was on the phone with a tow truck dispatch center, which recorded the call

Jones' family says he had just bought the gun because he feared someone would steal his musical equipment valued at $10,000

Raja was not wearing his tactical vest with police markings as ordered and he is never heard on the dispatch recording identifying himself as a police officer

Raja, who says he identified himself, was wearing jeans, a T-shirt, sneakers and a baseball cap with the logo of a heavy equipment manufacturer

In the tow dispatch recording, Raja, a seven-year police officer who had joined Palm Beach Gardens six months earlier, yells "You good?" as he approaches

Jones says he is. Raja twice replies, "Really?" with Jones replying "yeah" each time

Suddenly, Raja shouts for Jones to put his hands up, using an expletive. Jones replies "Hold on!" and Raja repeats his demand

Raja then fires three shots in less than two seconds. Ten seconds pass before three more shots are heard a second apart, apparently Raja firing at Jones as he ran down an embankment

Raja told investigators Jones kept pointing his gun at him; prosecutors say Raja saw him throw it down but kept firing, which is why he is charged with attempted murder

Investigators have been unable to determine when the fatal shot was fired. Raja then used his personal cellphone to call 911 with the operator picking up 33 seconds after the last shot was fired

Raja is recorded yelling orders to drop the gun; prosecutors say he was trying to mislead investigators into believing he hadn't seen the gun thrown

Jones' body was found 200 feet from the SUV and 125 feet from his gun, which was unfired

Palm Beach Gardens quickly fired Raja, who was still in his employee probation period

He was charged eight months later.
