a major drug bust in Arizona more than 8500 fentanyl pills confiscated along
with almost 5 million dollars worth of illegal narcotics resulting in more than
80 arrests it's all part of a new partnership between the Interior
Department and Native American tribal police to get drugs and dealers off the
streets the man spearheading this new initiative
is Interior Secretary Ryan's Enki who joins us live now Thank You mr.
secretary for being here former commander at SEAL Team six you've served
our country well and you're still serving our country and we appreciate it
getting drugs off the street tell us about your program well it's it's to
support the president's directive on opioids and Native American tribes you
look at the statistics far more drugs on Native reservations and so we're serious
about it interior has about 4,000 law enforcement
officers and what we've done is we've formed a task force we work with tribal
police to target the dealers get them off the streets and also help the
communities and a lot of challenges out in Indian country it shocks me that I
didn't think the tribal community had a problem with drugs I didn't know that
until I was reading about your program why is that
well I'm adopted to Centrepointe and I can tell you a lot of times the tribes
have a lot of land not a lot of law enforcement on the land and they're
being used by the drug dealers that come in mule and traffic not only drugs but
you know child trafficking is really large and you know they need some help
so we work with the tribes were serious as the president has said this is a
warrant opioids it's destroying communities it's destroying communities
on him you know reservations at a higher rate and so we're again we're targeting
the problem which is the drug dealers and we've been enormous ly successful
tell me about your success how many stings have you had well we've done this
is our four operation will continue to do it and
we're targeting areas where the nation's asked us and because the nations are
sovereign so we work with them very very closely and again it's a task force and
we're gonna continue along the border we were a lot of problems there but this is
important and the president has made a stand and a priority about the opioids
again it's destroying communities it's destroying reservations and Indian
nations at a higher rate which reservations have you targeted so far
well we're working in Arizona the most current operation in Arizona we've been
in the Minnesota North Carolina out west we've been into you know Washington
State again what we do is we coordinate with the Tribal Police nation-to-nation
and but it's been enormously successful and I'm proud of what our BIA Bureau of
Indian Affairs officers have done our BLM we have 4,000 law enforcement
officials and they're doing a great job you're always saving so many lives
because these opioids we've done so many stories on people who have died because
of it what is the most most popular drug that you're finding well we're finding
an uptick in fentanyl which is far more potent than heroin we see a lot of hard
drugs going back and forth and yeah they're they're hidden in tires either
reservations a lot of more land-based a lot a lot of young millions of acres and
it's hard to patrol and have law enforcement in every corner but so a lot
of times these reservations are ready service lockers for drugs most of it is
coming from the southern border the president exactly right once again let's
make sure we have law and order and secure our southern border well thank
you so much for what you're doing keep up the good work these kids started
eliminate stand for charity but they had to close up shop because they didn't
have a permit someone turned him in seriously plus he served eight years in
the Air Force and just graduated from Yale and he credits his success to
conservative values that learned as a foster child that veteran
is going to join us live nuts the railing it downstairs to Pete alright
thank you Brian well our next guest just graduated with a degree in psychology
from Yale after serving eight years in the Air Force as an electronic warfare
technician but before all that he spent a turbulent childhood in and out of
foster care and adoptive homes in a new op-ed that he wrote that ran on Monday
he credits all of his success to the conservative values he learned along the
way joining us to share more of his story is Rob Henderson Rob thanks for
being here thanks Rob you have a fantastic story of overcoming give us a
little bit more insight into how you went from foster care to the Air Force
and now graduating from Yale yeah so I mean I was born in poverty to a
drug-addicted mother and I spent a lot of time in and out of foster homes and I
I never knew my biological father and along the way in school when I was 10
years old a teacher told me that you know I could change my future if I
focused and worked hard and took responsibility for my life and I took
that seriously and started thinking about what I wanted to do with my future
and along the way I started thinking more about responsibility and and how
the decisions we make today can can change what happens tomorrow so you had
a choice and you were mentored along the way by certain people in that case a
teacher I can you could tell yourself I'm a victim of my circumstances or say
I'm gonna take responsibility for it you say at its core that's a conservative
value you know I do think that conservatives tend to emphasize personal
responsibility more than people on the left if you think people on the Left
focus more on abstractions and societal problems and they don't focus enough on
the individual and what we can do in our own lives to change oh absolutely so you
went into the Air Force I did eight years enlisted I would presume yeah I
was enlisted then you apply DL got in now you're going to Cambridge on a
scholarship congratulations thanks very much they let a conservative sneak
through that pipeline and and but what motivated you to write this op-ed in the
first place you know I thought I had a pretty interesting story and it seemed
like a useful way to shine a light on the challenges that children can face
when they grow up in unstable environments and chaotic upbringings and
so on and I was one of the lucky ones who turned out to do okay for myself but
most kids who grow up in foster homes and in you know single-parent families
and and so they face more challenges than men
children raised in intact families absolutely so if you were to give a
piece of advice to we call them snowflakes we chokerino Millennials who
are prepared for the real world what would it be
you know I would I would say to think more about responsibility think more
about you know the importance of family structure and to focus more on on
children rather than on your own desires interesting so put the kids first focus
on their needs and then obviously instill the values in them that fortify
them to be prepared don't coddle them that's right absolutely
what do you plan to study in Cambridge psychology still so I've been working a
lot for the last couple of years and I'll be continuing this for my PhD
looking at morality and moral obligation and how people think about right and
wrong and so this is my aprender interesting and this this hotbed came
out on Monday in the New York Times and that was the day of your graduation from
Yale it was it fun at all to open up the New York Times that morning and see why
I am a conservative from Yale on your graduation day yeah it was a you know
just a pure coincidence that it that it fell on that day but it was really
interesting to see the response that I got and yeah it was it was it was a good
day and an interesting day just to read the comments and the things that people
were saying about yeah Rob we get a chance to interview a lot of interesting
folks on the show but hearing about your background your service to our country
overcoming focus on personal responsibility I love it and it's the
kind of thing kind of message our viewers need to hear more often pull up
the bootstraps get after it you might have a tough circumstance you're gonna
fall down get back up a great message if you have not read that op-ed it's called
why being a foster child made me a conservative in the New York Times Rob
Henderson good luck over on the other side of the pond come back though
William when you're done thanks very much okay you got it thanks all right
well an urgent cancer warning impacting millions across the country new
screening guidelines just issued plus the media Cushing conspiracy theories
about Melania Trump's absence in public first lady just shut them all down and
diamond and silk join us on the couch Ainsley's already
hanging out with them I'm officially jealous they're here not on skype we're
gonna talk to them next no one's defending what she said the
presidents pointed to the hypocrisy in the media saying that the most horrible
things about this president and nobody addresses it where was Bob iger's
apology to the White House staff for Jamel Hill calling the President and
anyone associated with him a white supremacist for joy barrel in
Christianity a mental illness where was the apology for Kathy Griffin going on a
profane rant against the president on the view and where was the apology from
Bob Iger for ESPN hiring Keith Olbermann after his numerous expletive laced
tweets attacking the president as a Nazi and even expanding Olbermann's role
after that attack against the president's family that was interesting
tacked from Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the president decided to tweet about 12
hours after rosanna rosanna blew up her career with the ratio tweet the cheap I
put out show was cancelled and the president went out and said hope by the
way where's my apology for maybe look who's here to help us sort it out I'm at
in silk live in the flesh thank you for being here what's your reaction when you
hear Sarah Huckabee Sanders say that what she's absolutely right you know the
president has been really they have assassinated his care to try to the left
and there's no apology and then roseanne tweets out something that will it was
derogatory it was offensive she apologized for it and the left just
loses their mind yeah we don't like the hypocrisy you know no we don't like we
don't like worse that's being used okay but those words are used from black
people on us I mean black people call us monkeys cones akka toms they do it all
the time the left on Halle about that but as soon as Roseanne who happens to
be a white woman tweet it out oh you're racist but see racism is just not
one-sided we got to look at all sides nobody should do it and I don't care
what color your skin and the sad thing is that the person that's crying racism
the most is the person that's the race baiter that's the person that's putting
out the racist comments and so forth to us if you go to the diamond and silk
wall of shame you will see a lot of racist comments men
towards to black females who loved loved this country and love our president and
they're calling us all of these derogatory names included marketing just
add this to the rosette must have been watching you because you're on Neil
Cavuto yesterday she tweeted at you guys right yes she did and you know what it
got you thank you yes because I don't think she should be I don't think
anybody should care to assassinate her she made a mistake that's right all
right she made a mistake and this is a teachable moment this is one thing that
I like that Valerie Jarrett said this is a teachable moment okay let's teach
that's okay we're gonna have to teach people listen you don't get to call
other people names using the word monkey and identifying that to a black person
that is derogatory that is wrong because maybe she just didn't know maybe some
people don't know so now it's the moment to teach and not the fame and just beat
her down and not to mention look at all of the other shows that's on ABC that
makes these derogatory racist remarks towards the President of the United
States towards his supporters they're still on air every single day that's why
you're finally a double standard and many of the media including a host at
another channel say this isn't just about Roseanne it's not just about Trump
it's about the people that support President Trump this is what Chris Hayes
tweeted yesterday he said Roseanne's problem turned out to be that she far
too authentically represented the actual world view of a significant chunk of the
Trump base so somehow now that represents folks that support this
that's a lot you know she claimed that she was making a joke and it was a bad
joke okay she's a comedian okay she apologized for it but that's not the
representation of the trunk base we are loving caring people but we're not
racist we love God we love this country so how dare them say that and that's
what we're talking about we don't make you a racist okay they want to talk
about and say that she's done all of these different things and sell all of
these different things if you look at the left-wing media TV right now you
will see a lot of racist remarks a lot of race-baiting going on you once again
people are hypocritical when I look at the divisive miss that's going on some
the left they sit on these shows and they call
all president a racist yeah a call diamond a Nazi you know
we're not racist our president is not racist he is a realist and the only
color he sees is green and he want everybody to help come on all right
media is now attacking Melania she hasn't been out in public since she had
the surgery a few weeks ago on the 14th of May this is a this is one of the
headlines for time Melania Trump tweets she's feeling great she hasn't been seen
publicly in weeks CNN says Melania Trump hasn't appeared in public for 20 days
the mercury-news missing Melania Trump the first lady tweets she's feeling
great but mystery remains don't you know what this is what the
left-wing media do they take conspiracy trying to try to just get make up an f2
narrative and then keep it going keep it going keep it going
leave our first lady long it's no mystery she had surgery she hasn't read
it out I see the media's working overtime
speculating where I am and what I'm doing rest assured I'm here at the White
House with my family feeling great working hard on behalf of children and
the American people and she also has a relative her parents who live close by
why is that hard to believe barren by the way is play soccer the
breakfast is four times a week I'm sure she wants to be a part of that she's a
hands-on parent and on weekends he's got to have one or two games so people young
she does do normal stuff she do normal stuff it's not hard for us to believe it
but it's hard for the left to believe it it's harder for the left to believe that
we really have people now in that White House the people were key was the
American people and I love it that's what we know what's
underappreciated they have a soccer goal right outside these windows right
outside the Oval Office which fared better be accurate
it's gonna bring a break a window thank you so much thank where's your next tour
next tour is in California yeah Rancho Mirage California and listen you're
gonna have more of them you can't have too much diamond silk they're gonna come
back to make some banana pudding yeah and that's when Jillian appears Mac you
see the show can I give it a that's right good morning guys let's get you
caught up on some of your other stories that we're following starting here that
blue wave Democrats expect in the midterms what appears to be waiting out
a new Real Clear Politics average poll now showing Republicans gaining on
Democrats their lead shrinking from 13 points in December to just four points
now pollsters say the Republicans upward swing is thanks to president Trump's
accomplishments a new warning from the American Cancer Society that younger
people are now more likely to get colon cancer the agency recommending people
start screening at 45 instead of 50 and alarming numbers for people even younger
those born around 1990 are twice as likely to get colon cancer and four
times as likely to get rectal cancer that's compared to those born around
1950 the agency has no explanation for the increase from lemonade to sour
lemons these kids charity lemonade stand was put out of business all because an
adult called the police to complain Denver police telling the boys they had
to close shop because they didn't have a permit but the boys are now turning
lemons back into lemonade using a GoFundMe instead they're trying to help
a needy child in Indonesia and have raised more than 1300 dollars so far
this is an incredible story just watch after winning a championship a youth
football team shows the ultimate display of team unity that's a group of Idaho
teens coming across a rollover crash drive home from organ and completely and
immediately jumping into action lifting the vehicle just enough to help free a
woman who is trapped in the car
they were also able to pull a man out of the car and all of the players are 13
years old or younger isn't that incredible as you see that teamwork
there the other thing to save his life yes super cool
can you shut out lemonade stands there right about time
