Hey!
Today we're talking about cold showers and how it can benefit you and your creative work!
Cold showers - two words that put together typically get a response from people along
the lines of -----
We all like to be warm and cozy in our beds but a cold shower first thing in the morning
is a really good thing to throw in, especially if you want better creative work.
Today we're not going to get really in to the science of it all, but believe me there
is a good amount of science there.
We're just going to go over my top 3 reasons as to why cold showers should be part of your
morning routine.
Reason #1 is Alertness.
You were just in your bed, nice and warm.
Now you've jumped into the cold shower and your body is going to start tensing up a little bit bit.
It's going to feel like it's a threat.
Obviously it's not, it's just water.
Your levels of alertness and focus and your adrenaline is all going to be elevated and
that level is going to stay elevated when you come out of the shower when you are doing
your work.
Reason #2 is a Boosted Immune System.
When you are under this cold water, your blood is going to be moving around your body to
try to warm you up.
This moves a lot of minerals, vitamins, oxygen around your body to try to keep you nice and healthy.
We obviously don't want to be getting sick when we are doing our creative work, especially
if we have a deadline approaching.
So, the healthier we are and the more boosted our immune system is, the better work we can do.
Reason #3 is Discipline.
As creatives, we inevitably face obstacles and hurdles and things that we don't want
to be doing that we have to overcome anyway.
A good way to be able to do that is to practice overcoming things we don't like to do.
Sometimes you are not in the mood to go workout, sometimes you don't want to keep submitting
to auditions, or figuring out how this character gets from point A to point B in your story
but you have to overcome it.
You have to do it anyway to keep moving in the direction you want to move.
And a good way of doing that is to practice things that you don't like doing.
An example of that is cold showers.
You were just in a nice warm bed and now you've jumped into the cold water and mentally that's
a tough task.
But if you overcome that task, it's going to be easier to overcome all the other difficult
things that you know you have to be doing.
How do you do cold showers?
We have two options - Option #1 is the full blown cold shower.
How do you do that?
Jump into the shower, turn on the cold water, stand there for 2 - 5 minutes.
OR, and this one's a little bit easier, jump into the shower, turn on the hot water, stay
there for as long as you like and then shift over to the cold water and stay there for
2 - 5 minutes.
Option #2 is the alternating contrast shower.
This is where you are bouncing back and forth between hot and cold.
20 seconds of cold.
10 seconds of hot.
20. 10. Cold.Hot.
Bounce back and forth between the two and build up to 2 - 5 minutes.
This option is a little more of a hassle so I don't personally do it, but I wanted to
let you know because you do get a little bit more blood circulation benefits from that option
Quick Tip to get the most out of your cold showers - make sure to get your head and your
face cold, not just the rest of your body.
This is going to be more beneficial for you because of what's called the Mammalian Dive Reflex.
We said we weren't going to get into the science so we won't.
Just make sure that you get your head and your face cold and you are going to see more benefits.
You'll also probably see better hair and better skin, so that's an added bonus.
And there you have it!
That's my video on cold showers and how it can benefit you and your creative work.
I know it may not sound exciting or thrilling.
It definitely didn't to me when I first started doing it, but now I am very, very happy that
I have it as part of my morning routine.
I've definitely seen an increase in alertness, immune system boosted, and more discipline
and this has all only benefited and helped my creative work.
So throw that in and see how your work improves too!
If you try your first cold shower, let me know down below in the comments how that went for you.
I want to know that went!

The Story of Underrot - Battle for Azeroth Alpha - Duration: 4:52.
Hello everyone!
The underrot dungeon doesn't really have a description in the journal quite yet so
it's a bit tricky to figure out its story.
In the horde zone nazmir we initially went in to just take care of the blood troll threat
that were becoming a problem for Zandalar, but as we went through the story, we discovered
that they were dealing with seriously dark and dangerous powers.
G'huun locked within Uldir was spreading its corruption so we collected the aid of
the local loa and even got in contact with Titan keeper Hezrel who's job it is to keep
the corruption contained.
I imagine that Underrot is to Uldir what something like darkheart thicket was for the emerald
nightmare raid.
Give a little bit of story, a taste of what's to come inside the raid.
The quest 'sealing G'huun's corruption, describes a massive leak of G'huun corruption
located nearby.
Substance surrounding us indicator of G'huun corruption named underrot.
Initial scans suggest a massive abomination composed of underrot is ahead, releasing more
corruption into Nazmir.
Must destroy underrot abomination, contain G'huun's corruption.
FUnction clear.
Proceed inside.
And so we do, in a beautiful dungeon with the white corruption really making it pop.
We encounter blood trolls, head hunters, blood priests, magots and corruption, all kinds
of nasty touch that we need to clear.
Our first encounter in the dungeon that is with Elder Leaxa, the voice of G'huun.
"Time for de sacrifice."
She corrupts us with the taint of g'huun whenever her abilities deal damage and with
the power of the blood god, she can split into several blood effigies that mirror her
abilities.
The taint of g'huun deals shadow damage over time while she also shoots out blood
bolts, creeping rote which is in a cone infront of her so do make sure to avoid it.
When split up she still uses the same abilities, but smacking her hard enough has her reform
into one, ready to be finished off.
"My blood for G'huun..."
Down we go into a beautiful white corrupted area where Cragmaw the Infested is chilling
out and you'll want to clear the chamber as this little guy likes to move around.
They didn't give him the name for nothing as his abilities shed blood ticks and blood
tick larvae through the arena.
You'll want to walk over the larvae and take care of them before they have the time
to transform into ticks and create big groups of adds to deal with.
He also charges around the arena so do make sure to get out of his way and he has a case
of bad indigestion with vomit flying all over the place, creating more larvae which you
need to deal with.
We put the poor infested little guy out of his missery to which we move deeper in and
find a whole bunch of bloodsworn defilers casting on sporecaller Zancha.
He's a bit out of control as he actually kills a fair few of them and he's ready
to harvest more.
Around the field explosive mushrooms spawn limiting the area in which you can move.
A frontal cone attack and an upheavel targeted at ranged do need to be avoided while he also
gains energy over time.
My group killed him so quickly that he didn't have the time to reach a 100%, according to
the journal he would force all remaining spore pods to burst.
This Inflicts plague dmg and applies decaying spores, a dot to all players for each active
spore pod.
With Zancha taken care of, we go down the stairs into a more temple eks area where we
encounter faceless corruptors and titan keeper Hexrel.
I'm not sure how our keeper buddy ended up here, I assume he went in before us...rookie
mistake, but we're here now and we can help him with cleaning up the area.
These faceless and tentacle creaturs are also part of the Uldir raid so yeah, nice touch
to get a taste of what's to come.
A quick slide down takes us into the titan eks chamber where the Unbound Abomination
is waiting for us.
"Consume"
This fight seems to be bugged out at the moment as the Abomination spews a whole bunch of
damaging green corruption on the floor which is supposed to be cleaned up with Hezrels
help, but that doesn't seem to be working right now.
The unbound has a blood barrier protecting it, absorbing the damage taken and as damage
is absorbed, the abomination starts to overflow with blood energy releasing several blood
visages.
That's the way to damage him as the blood visage shares a link, their death deals damage
to the abomination and Hezrel is there to help us, stunning the adds and smiting them
with holy damage.
"Must spread"
Together with the keeper we're able to take care of this corruption, but the real source
behind it still waits for us within Uldir.
It's a raid i'm very excited for but for now this is the Underrot dungeon.
As always thank you very much for watching everyone!

The Biggest Threat for Serious Jesus Followers - Duration: 4:18.
To be a child of God means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, as Paul also
wrote in Romans chapter 8 verse 14: "Those who are being led by the Spirit of God,
they are the children of God," they are the sons of God. People always look for
an example. They look for someone to follow, but the biggest threat for a
child of God is to start running after and following after other believers,
following after preachers, prophets, so-called men and women of God.
The biggest threat for a child of God is to turn his eyes off Jesus, to put his
trust in men, because then he turns away from God. We can only be pleasing to
Jesus if we stay focused on Him. We can only follow Him and we can only bear
fruit for His kingdom, if we get our wisdom and our direction from Him, not
from other people, not from the books and writings of other people, but from Jesus
Christ Himself, from the Holy Spirit. He promised the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of
Truth to come and dwell in, and be with those who earnestly seek Him, those who
wish to follow Him and who obey His words. Repent and be baptized, stop
sinning, seek Jesus with all your heart, seek the indwelling of His Holy Spirit
in you. The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and will teach you
everything that you need to know, but as soon as you start listening to
Christians, a brother, a sister, a prophet, and you turn away from Jesus,
then you are in danger of hellfire. That has been the downfall of many serious
followers of Jesus. They started following other people. There is nobody else that
is worthy to be followed. It is dangerous to follow after men, it is fatal. We have
to trust in Jesus alone and follow Him. Ask Him and He will guide you. Wait on
Him, seek Him with all your heart, draw closer to Him and He will draw closer to
you. Do not be satisfied with anything but hearing from Jesus, whatever any
other man or woman of God tells you, whatever revelation they have had, take
that to Jesus. Whatever people tell you, go and consult Jesus about it.
Ask Jesus, it is Jesus whom we must follow to have eternal life. Remember, the
biggest threat for a child of God is to start following after people, because
then he's not following Jesus anymore. Follow Jesus and you will have life.
Jesus Christ alone is the way and the truth and the life. May Jesus bless you.
Jesus Christ is alive and hell is real. I am here to introduce you to Jesus
Christ so that you can know Him and follow Him and have eternal life.
Subscribe to my channel to learn more about Jesus. May Jesus bless you.
