Now looking at what's happening on shox' side
There have been a few rumors and messages recently
We know that shox has contacted Ex6TenZ to talk about a new project
He also convinced SmithZz to play with him again
What do you think about this project? Of course right now we're only talking about 3 players out of 5
That's not a full line-up, but well
We're still not sure of who the last 2 could be, but with these 3 players at least do you think things could work out?
I'm a bit doubtful regarding this
shox had his own experience as in-game leader
He started the same way I'm doing now, by asking for a chance to lead, so he can do whatever he wants in this aspect
I mean, he tried many things and some of them worked well, he gained a lot of experience out of it
Of course not everything was bad, he was very strong for some time and even with the former G2
But he didn't have...
I won't say talent, but he didn't have some characteristics of a leader
Like not having these bad periods with less motivation
And that's one of the two "problems" I have with shox
For some time, he'll be at the top: very strong player, very good teammate, etc
Then when things aren't going well for him it become complicated to communicate
The second thing is... well I guess you all saw Ex6's stream where he gave his perfect line-up
shox, Ex6 of course, SmithZz...
Kenny of course, I'm so dumb
So Kenny and me
So my second problem
Is something that we think differently of, we don't share the same opinion
I could say that the reason he didn't want to play with me anymore
It's because as a person, with my own thoughts and my own values
He didn't see himself play with me anymore
It's not in relation to the game itself, we respect each other a lot as players
In game, we both see, understand and play the game about the same way
So in game there was no problem, only with our personal relatioship from one person to another
Somehow it's a waste
But then again he can do whatever he wants, if he'd rather have a line-up with players he personally likes then ok
That's just not how I see it, my goal is to win
Around ten years ago you had NBA teams in which some players wouldn't make a pass to each other, and would still manage to be the best team in the world
Of course we haven't come to this but it's a matter of personal values and point of view
We're coming to something more philosophical
So the reason he didn't want to play with me was this
It's a bit of a problem for me
Because I yearn for greater things
Of course, if you win with a team made of close friends you couldn't ask for more
But you have to win first, you have to achieve something then think about other matters
So yeah, that's what I'm doubtful about, but they only have a base of 3 players for now
We can only speculate on who the last 2 will be, we'll know as time goes by
But I'm curious to see what Ex6 can still achieve after his experience within LDLC
If he adapted to the current CS in general
The last time I played with him was petty long ago so I can't say what he brings into the game right now
I know he's got a lot of experience, I think he's the best leader France has ever had
Well, he's Belgian... best French-speaking leader then
When it comes to having values and being a leader
He's really the best
And I can't wait to see what he wants to show in the game
About shox, if he's motivated
He will be an excellent player, there's no question about that
About SmithZz, he's a big question mark
What was his motivation to come back?
Does he really want to play again or did other things make him do it?
For example, I don't think I would have continued with him as coach
So was it one of the reasons? I don't know
It's just speculation so it's a question mark
Maybe I'm 100% wrong
Maybe I ask questions that confuse people
It's a question mark and I have no idea
It can't be bad for him to come back as a pure rifle
because he was correct as a rifle when he stopped
He was better than with the awp
But 3 players, it's hard to tell what they will do
I don't wish them anything bad
I wish them to succed and I just want to be better
That's normal
A few questions about your lead
What are your intentions?
How do you characterize your lead? What do you want to build?
In one word, hybrid
In the sense that
I aspire to be, I will not say close from perfection
but I want to go towards it
I want to be able to say that we have a almost perfect playstyle and we can beat anyone
I want to have all the solutions
broadly speaking
I have different types of map control in the team
There is some universal stuff
For example, if I call a 4-1 map control
We will know exactly who's going to do what and why
If I say on Inferno, we do a 4-1 in B or in A
Everyone will know what they have to do
without having to work on it before
If we arrive on Train an do a 4-1 there or there
People will know what is happening
I have 3 or 4 different types of map control
Add to this a few solid tactics
When I talk about tactics, I'm not really talking about innovative tactics but about strong tactics
More in the sense that we do a tactic in A on Mirage
It's not really a tactic
It's more the basic stuff
Then you add more specific tactics
and then you have the basic anti-strat
For example you have a tactic for the A site on Mirage against teams that play aggressively
It doesnt really go further than that, it's quite simple
So that's it for the terrorist side. On the CT side, you have 2/3 classic tactics
When I talk about classic, what I say to my players is that
You have this position, others will be there
Based on that, you're free to to do whatever you want
And I trust them to not rush mid
if we are defending the extremities on Mirage
I trust them and that's basically it
There's that
Also I think that I'm a better caller on the CT side
than on the terrorist side, I have great ideas when it comes to defense
outplay, etc...
Then it's all about having a game plan and adaptation
It's something very rare in France or at least something that we didn't do when we played with shox and happy
We didn't adapt our game style to the team we were facing
For example, we played against cloud9
Sorry I talk about them again
I watched their demo
Usually I only watch one demo per team because it's enough for me to know how they play on a map
I saw Cloud9 and they don't play well on Mirage
In the sense that they have tactics in A, one strat in B
One way to take mid that they do differently
and they do 0 fake
In only one demo, I saw that
So I said it to my teammates
On the CT side, we led 7-0, we finish the side 10-5, it's clean
And that's exactly what happened
They made adaptations during the overtime
and they really played well during the overtime
Teams are too much different
in order to have an universal play style
so you need to adapt your map controls
and that's why I have different control maps, defense styles, different specific things
And that's why my play stye is hybrid
I want to adapt my lead, how I put spotlights on my players according to the teams we are facing but also have systems
It's almost done
You're talking about innovative tactics and adaptation
but also about adapting your tactics according to who you are facing
Don't you think that it's something that takes a long time to be put in place?
Isn't that a risk since you have a test period?
How long will it take?
How much time
It's a wide range
It's hard to say
It will depend on the players
on how they take advantage of this system
I think that we have good foundations
We start with something solid
I know what I want to do, it's clear and the players see that
so we only need to hit headshots now
The issue is that... Dan is really good at the moment
but we don't have another player who is that good at the moment
and it would be easier if we had a second player like that
I think that we have a good level right now
Obviously we're not here winning every lan
but our level is correct
Our foundations are good, solid
Everyday, I add things because we need that or that
And since our play style is pretty classic
It's universal
It's not something which depends 100% on me but it's going to depend on everyone
And that's the play style that I want because if you depend on only one person
It can be dangerous if for example I wake up one day with my arm broken
There would not be anything left in the team
With the system I'm looking to establish in the future
There will always be something to make things work
There will always be solutions
movements in the game
Theoretically it takes time
It's a little bit like krL's system (successful ingame leader in CSS)
We'll have 5000 map controls, 5000 different situations
It's the idea with the play style and with my lead
I learned a lot with the Cloud9 match, I could have called things on the spot
which I didn't do and that hurt us because we could have won the game with that
We go on and we learn
Small question about the lead in game
If you had to pick one quality of your past leaders in game, what would it be?
So Ex6
Well, let's start by enumerating them
Ex6, Shox, Happy
Ex6, it's something I picked from the start
It's his work, his philosophy
He works non-stop, he taught me that
He's a captain, he has a great leadership
When he's on a team, he's the natural leader
it's like that
About Vincent (Happy)
The trust his players give him
When things were working well
When things were working well, we trusted him blindly
If he wanted us to do something even if we disagreed
We did it because we trusted him and it was going well
We didn't always understand what and why we were doing things
But we trusted him 100%
and it's something really important
from a leader to player, player to leader perspective
About Richard (shox)
His overall level
When he was leading well and everyone was following him
He wanted everyone to get comfortable
He wanted us to show a nice play style as a group, as a team
And I think that's really important if you want to be at your best level
Last question for you as a player
We saw you playing with the krieg
People were talking about it, it was nice
Why did you want to play with that weapon?
I kinda had to stop playing with the krieg
my phrase doesnt make sense in French
I had to stop because
I took the lead
Before that I could focus on the Krieg and being good with it
Now I have other priorities
Sadly I don't use it much anymore
Here's a little story about cs:source
At some point I wanted to play with the auto sniper
but Niak forbid me to do so
He told me that I couldn't play with that kind of weapon
but when we arrived on CS:GO, Get_Right raped us
with the autosniper
then Niak was happy with me taking the auto sniper
So I have no a priori on any weapon
The Auto shotgun is trending
especially with oskar from mousesports who plays a lot with it
I think it's possible to play with any weapon
When you look at the CZ, it doesn't make sense
I liked It a lot
I play a lot with it and I think that I'm good with it
But we need to get rid of it, it's too much
If you want to make a weapon that kills a guy,
Limit the weapon to 6 bullets
Like that you know that you will make one kill but not four
It's the only problem that I have but
If you like a weapon, play with it
Enjoy it
If you enjoy playing with the weapon, you will be better with it
MP7, MP9, the Bizon is a little bit shitty
but the krieg, the AUG also has possibilities
but not as much
it's a little bit different
Many different things are possible in Counter-Strike
So why not do them especially if someone likes them
and likes to play that way
It's the end of the interview
We'll let you have the final say
It's time to say thank you and hello to everyone
Hello
to all the VaKarM folks
It's a weird word to start
but let's start with that
thank you to people posting nice comments
who support us
and take time to say nice things
Shit, I'm lost
Thanks also to everyone who came to Marseille
because they are not all from Marseille
Thanks for being here
If you came to see us
Well, sorry about that
Sorry for being that bad
whether it's us or
EnVy, no one managed to pass the groupstage
It's a pity
It's sad
But thanks for being there
There are some signing sessions
we have a booth with g2 where we are during the day
to take pictures and sign things
It's always full, so it's nice to see
And that's it
I think it will be enough
Thank and see you next time
We'll be there for the next tournament
if there is one
Thanks a lot
It was Miles for Vakarm
