Waching daily Apr 25 2018

Hello Space Fans and welcome to another edition of Space Fan News.

In this episode, on this day of the momentous second data release of the Gaia spacecraft,

astronomers from the University of Uppsala in Sweden have been working on a way to find

Dyson Spheres and other megastructures that may be around other stars in our galaxy that

would provide our first confirmation of other civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy.

In a paper published on the preprint site Astro-ph this week, a group of SETI astronomers

from the University of Uppsala in Sweden describe a technique for locating the signatures of

star-covering artificial structures known as Dyson Spheres and any other suitably large

megastructures that may be in orbit around a star.

This comes in advance of the second data release of the Gaia mission which today released the

most accurate positions ever made of 1.7 billion stars in our galaxy.

For those who don't know, a Dyson Sphere is a hypothetical sphere that covers all or

part of a star.

By constructing a Dyson sphere out of material from dismantled planets, extremely advanced

civilizations could in principle tap into a significant fraction of the radiation power

of their host star.

Dyson spheres are typically not imagined as a solid shell, but rather as a dense, spherical

swarm or shroud of absorbing satellites, with each satellite absorbing a small fraction

of the stellar radiation.

Other, less ambitious astro-engineering designs, where sparse swarms, rings or single large

shades are built around both stars and stellar remnants have also been considered in the

paper, and the time to build a small scale megastructure of this type has been estimated

at as little as a hundred years.

Who knows how long it would take to build a full-on Dyson Sphere.

The paper outlines what a Dyson Sphere might look like in Gaia data.

I've told you about Gaia a couple of times before on SFN but it is an ESA mission designed

to accurately measure the positions of about a billion stars in our galaxy out to 30,000

light years with an accuracy never before achieved.

Launched in December 2013, Gaia's mission is scheduled to last for five years.

During that time, it will log the position, brightness and color of every visible celestial

object that falls within its field of view.

By repeating these observations throughout its mission, astronomers will be able to calculate

the distance, speed and direction of motion of each of these objects, chart variations

in their brightness, and determine whether they have nearby companions.

From Gaia data, astronomers are able to get distances by measuring parallax, where you

measure the shift in position of a star relative to the background stars, a standard trigonometric

technique that astronomers have been using for hundreds of years but is only accurate

for close stars between 500-1000 parsecs from Earth and Gaia is doing better than it's

ever been done.

But there is another parallax method, called spectrophotometric parallax, which is a technique

that works for stars much further out, out to about 10,000 parsecs from Earth, but it

really only works with stars on the Main Sequence (which is fine, because we're looking for

civilizations here and Main Sequence stars are a good place to look).

Spectrophotometric parallax measurements are done from ground-based observatories and there

are many projects which compare the two methods as a sort of check on each other.

OK so back to Dyson Spheres.

Since a star surrounded by a partial Dyson sphere with a large fraction of the star being

covered will appear unusually faint for its spectral type at optical and near infrared

wavelengths, its spectrophotometric distance will be overestimated.

Why?

Because its faintness gives a false reading for it's distance since it's artificially

covered.

Spectra rely on flux or light output.

A trigonometric parallax measurement, as provided by Gaia would, on the other hand, still be

able to provide an accurate distance estimate - it is dependent only on its position relative

to background stars.

So, it should be possible single out tentative Dyson-sphere candidates by comparing parallax

distances to their spectrophotometric counterparts.

According to the paper, a large Dyson Sphere covering a large percentage of a star's

radiation power will appear to be closer to Earth in the Gaia data when computing the

distance using the regular parallax method.

However, because a star of a given spectral type would be much dimmer than expected (since

it's covered by a bunch of advanced civilization) the spectrophotometric parallax would be off,

it would appear further away.

So that means the trigonometric parallax provided by Gaia would reveal the true distance of

the Dyson Sphere and comparing the two results computed from the Gaia dataset, any discrepancy

should be a candidate star for more study.

A shorter parallax distance of a star as compared to its spectroscopic parallax might indicate

a Dyson Sphere or other megastructure in orbit around that star, and would definitely warrant

a closer look.

The authors of the paper also say that this technique will only work if the fraction of

the star covered by the Dyson Sphere is significant, like more than 75% of the star's radiation

is blocked from us.

Well that is it for this episode Space Fans, thanks to all of our Deep Astronomy Patreon

Patrons who keep these episodes coming.

Thanks to all of you for watching and as always, Keep Looking up!

Instructional Designer | My budget & planning for the future | Part 2 | Khan Academy - Duration: 5:33.

My name is Onna Nelson.

I'm 28 years old.

I'm an instructional designer, and I make $90,000 a year.

My financial situation is a lot better now

than it was five years ago.

Five years ago I was taking out a lot of student loans

I was in a lot of debt.

I was living month to month on every paycheck.

I was not paying any money towards my loans.

I was not able to save any money,

and I was earning less than a quarter

of the salary that I am now.

When I finally left graduate school,

I had something like $72,000 of debt.

Some percentage of that was accumulating interest

while I was in graduate school,

so even though I wasn't required to pay those loans back,

they were still earning interest,

so they were growing every year that I wasn't paying them.

Then on top of that I took out a car loan

to buy a new car.

Once you quit or graduate school you have six months

before you have to start paying your loans,

so I waited for those six months to expire,

and then I refinanced my student loans.

I was able to bring them down from a 7.8% interest rate

to a 4% interest rate.

I also renegotiated the terms

so rather than taking 10 years to pay it off

I have to do it in seven.

That increased the amount that I have to pay,

but it's also less time that I'm gonna have this burden.

My loans now are down to $55,000.

$90,000 a year comes out to

I think $7,500 a month.

Of that, about 20% goes to taxes,

and another maybe 5% goes to things like 401(k),

healthcare benefits, Social Security, Medicare,

all those other little expenses,

so my take home pay ends up being around $4,600,

so almost three grand goes to just taxes

and other benefits like that.

Of that $4,600, almost $2,000 goes to rent

because the housing prices in California

are extremely high.

I used to have roommates, but this is the first time

that I've lived without roommates,

so it's a lot more expensive to live on your own

not sharing the rent expense,

but I'm making it work.

Another $900 a month goes to my student loans,

about $100 a month goes to pay for my cell phone,

another $40 to $50 a month goes to pay for electric.

I don't have TV, or Netflix, or cable,

or any of those other expenses like that.

I probably spend about $200 on groceries,

maybe $50 a month on cat food, cat litter,

things for my cats.

There's a few hundred dollars of free money

that I can spend going out to bars,

or buying things for hobbies, taking day trips,

saving for vacation, saving for emergency fund.

Currently I have about two or three months

of an emergency fund.

At my highest point I had around six months,

but then I had to move, and my living situation

became a little complicated, so I lost some of that money.

I'm currently trying to build it back up to six months.

I think it's very important to have six months

of living expenses in case I lose a job,

in case you know there's some kind of medical bill,

or you know if I got into a car accident

and needed to buy a new car tomorrow,

you know I don't have that money.

I think saving for an emergency

is more important that paying down debt.

Right now I feel pretty comfortable

about my financial situation.

I make enough to pay my rent, pay all my bills,

pay my student loans, put a little into savings.

I wish that I could put more into savings,

and more into paying my loans,

but for now I'm comfortable.

It's all about balance.

You can get really caught up in

oh I have to pay off all my debt,

and I have to save as much as I can.

I have to live with 12 roommates to make my rent cheaper.

I have to you know just eat Ramen noodles all day

so that I don't spend money.

At some point you're not living your life.

It's okay to spend some money on your hobbies.

It's okay to have some expenses

that maybe it's not the cheapest,

but it's the right one for you.

It's really easy to get stressed out about debt,

and I know I have been stressed out about debt

and about savings, but that doesn't mean you should be.

Grateful for the air - Duration: 2:36.

Let me ask you a question.

It's great that we have great big goals.

Great big expectations.

Great big desires.

And it's usualy related to something we call succsess.

That's great cause it drives us, it motivates us...

I mean it make us learn things, do things and work our ass off.

Right?

So it's great.

But if happiness comes first, what is with its tiny little thing that makes you happy.

Let me ask you a question.

If you were submerged in water right now for one minute.

And you just can't take it any more, you are about to drown.

And then all the sudden you get up.

What would be the thing that make you the happiest person on the planet?

- The air.

The air.

The breath of fresh air.

You were holdin your breath now, and maybe some of you already runnin out of it.

Guys!

Its all around us.

What if with every breath you take you were happy?

With every sip of water.

What if every breath i take... you know that the yoga masters are teaching breath, and

how to breed.

And how to appreciate that people get realy high on the air.

What if that very, very little breath of air would make you happy?

Just to bring her in.

Jodi, think... picture yourself submerged under the water.

Which is by the way her fear.

- Biggest.

Picture youself submerged under water for a second, two seconds, five seconds, ten seconds.

You are runnin out of breath and youre out. and you can breed. and that very air that

we are abundant of makes us happy.

Guys!

Count your blessings.

Deborah Wyld: A Lasting Passion for the Arts - Duration: 2:18.

My introduction of philanthropy really came from my childhood. I grew up in the

Cleveland, Ohio area and that was a very philanthropic community and they

supported fabulous arts organizations. And I just assumed that was a normal

thing for any community. And as I got older, I realized that it takes

philanthropists, it takes people supporting these kind of programs to

make that possible. And it became a goal of mine, because I realize how

important those kinds of things are in the community. I would describe myself as

an arts advocate and I can't tell you where that came from.

I can't do anything myself. I don't paint. I don't dance. I don't do anything, but I

really appreciate people who can do all those things. I've been involved with

quite a number of organizations since moving to Hampton Roads in the early 80s...

primarily arts organizations. My passion is opera, and that again came from

something during my early years in Cleveland. My mother took me to see a

performance of the Met in my senior year of high school and I was hooked. I just

fell in love with opera at that point. I've been so involved in the arts for so

long not only in my work, but also I was on the Virginia Commission for the Arts.

I was chairman for two years and had a hand in directing arts policy and grant-

making at the state level and it's just... this is something that's really become a

very important part of my life. I shared it with my children, my love of the Arts.

And I do hope to be able to do that same thing with my grandchildren when they

get a little olde. I decided to partner with Hampton Roads Community Foundation

after I learned that they did have this option for setting up individual funds

for legacy gifts. I wanted to support several of the arts organizations that

I'm currently supporting and be able to continue to do that after I'm gone.

Other Prospects for the 49ers Draft (Appeared on Ronbo Sports) - Duration: 5:19.

Ayo! It's Bryan here. Today, going to be talking about the San Francisco 49ers.

Going to be talking about the draft coming up tomorrow and just going to giving

some final thoughts about it. So, let's just get into it. But before I get the

video started, I'm going to talk about Ronbo Sports. I was on his show on Sunday.

Talking about Reuben Foster and the draft coming up and seeing who we like

in the draft. If you guys want to check it out, link in the "card" section, link in the

description below. I was a little tired because I had got off work that time and

then I saw the Instagram post that he was doing a live stream. So, I was like, why not

just get on, have some fun with Ronbo? Never talked to him before. Had a

really good time for the limited time that I had. I only had like 5 or 10

minutes to talk with him. If you want to watch it, there's a link in the

description and the "card" section. Start the video at 11:54. That's when my part

starts. It's probably the best part I would say out of everyone else. I'm just

playing, but please let me know how you think I did in it and I plan on doing

some more Ronbo Sports live streams or whatever. So hopefully, I can do some

more. I'd love to hear what you guys have to say about my part. Was it good? Was it

bad? I thought I was kind of okay, but at the same time, I was a little tired. So, I

was a little green on this. I never did any live one-on-one interview or

whatever. So, it was pretty cool. Hopefully, I can do some more. Anyways, going back to

the video. Want to talk about the draft. Final thoughts on it? Very exciting time

I would say, 1st round and then Friday, Saturday is going to proceed from rounds

2-7 and then we got some undrafted players to talk about after

that. Just wow! I'm excited. This is going to be the only time we can talk about

football full time before I have to start BSing some stuff and talking

about history of the 49ers and doing some "what ifs" because I plan on doing

that right after the draft and what have you to get some more videos pumping.

Get to talk about the 49ers even more. Just want to talk about some dark horse picks

that I think the 49ers can go after if they want to trade down or

they want to pick somebody with the 9th pick over all that I haven't mentioned.

I mentioned Tremaine Edmunds. I mentioned Bradley Chubb, which we're probably not

going to get. I mentioned Quenton Nelson, which looking like we're not going to get. I just

want to mention some people that they could get with the 9th pick overall or

they wanted to trade down with another team, then they can definitely do that

and teams are rumored to be the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots, especially

to trade down for the 49ers 9th pick overall, but we'll see what happens. A lot

of intrigue. I want to talk about 3 guys in particular. Marcus Davenport from

San Antonio, Minkah Fitzpatrick from Alabama. I can't really say his name, but

you guys know who I'm talking about and Harold Landry from Boston College.

I think those are 3 pretty good picks I would say. Minkah Fitzpatrick, I was a

little bit questionable at first. I never wanted to

put him on my mock draft just because he was a safety, but at the same time, he

could do a lot of good things. He reminds me of Charles Woodson a lot because

Charles Woodson could do everything that you want to ask him on the field. he can

do cornerback. He can do defensive back, safety,

anything and I think Fitzpatrick can do a pretty damn good job if he wanted to

be drafted by the 49ers. Not that bad of a pick. If they do pick him, I wouldn't

be disappointed at all, although I don't know if we need a safety. I think our

defensive backfield is pretty good, but if they want I guess a super stud. If they

really believe in him, then they can pick him. So, not disappoint at all.

Marcus Davenport, defensive end. I think that would be a pretty interesting

pick as well from San Antonio. Picking up a lot of steam recently.

I think him. I wouldn't be too disappointed if they got him at all. We do need a pass

rusher and I think he can do a pretty good job with the 49ers if he does

get picked, but in my opinion, I don't think he's going to get picked for the

49ers with the 9th pick overall. Maybe if they trade down pretty much. If they want

to do that, but other than that, I really don't see them picking him with a 9th

pick overall. I think there's better options in my opinion than Marcus

Davenport. Nothing, anything bad with him. Just... I just think we need some more

needs in my opinion. I think there's better talent in my opinion with the 9th

pick overall. Lastly, Harold Landry. 4-3 defensive end,

3-4 outside linebacker. So, if he was to get drafted by the 49ers, he'd be a 4-3

defensive end. Pretty good player I would say. I saw some tape at Boston

College. Pretty good pass rusher. Pretty fast I would say. He's a little bit small...

Well, not that really small, but I guess he's average size. He's a little bit shorter

than Tremaine Edmunds, but he's pretty much just as big as him. He's 250 lbs,

6'3". Pretty cool I would say. If they get him, wouldn't be disappointed at all.

You know, it's not my decision to do any of these draft moves. It's more of John

Lynch's and Kyle Shanahan's decision. If they pick him, wouldn't be disappointed

all, but if I had a pick out of all 3 of them who I want for the 49ers. I would

probably pick... Wow, it's kind of a tough one. I'd probably pick...

Harold Landry.

I think Harold Landry looks like a really good talent. I want to pick Fitzpatrick,

but I just don't feel like we need a defensive back. I feel like don't wasting

a 1st round pick on a defensive back. I like the defensive backfield right now.

Richard Sherman, the addition of him, I think that really nullifies the need

of a cornerback immediately. I'm just a guy that's not wanting a defensive back

in my opinion in the 1st round. Maybe later on definitely. 2nd, 3rd round pick,

pick a cornerback, but right now, I think an EDGE rusher and outside

linebacker is a really big need as well as offensive guard, but I don't know.

That's just me. Harold Landry would be my guy if you know, none of the guys

mentioned in past videos like Tremaine Edmunds and Quenton Nelson are there.

Pretty cool I guess, but anyways. That's going to be pretty much it you guys.

Just wanted to give some final thoughts on it. I'm really excited.

I'm pretty sure everyone in San Francisco is excited. Niner Nation, Niner Empire.

I'm really excited. So, I will be definitely catching up tomorrow night to

see what's going on with the draft and lots of intrigue I would say. I'm going to

keep it like that. Please let me know what you guys think about the draft,

final thoughts. Is it fun? You optimistic? Who do you guys think they're

going to pick with the final pick with the draft or the ninth pick, whatever?

So yeah. Please let me know in the comments below. Love to hear what you guys

have to say and if you guys like this, please "Like," SUBSCRIBE, do whatever you

want with this and I'll be catching you guys up another time. So, I hope you guys

have a nice day, nice weekend, nice whatever and I'll see you guys another time.

Bye guys. Love y'all. See y'all tomorrow in the draft!

Free Autotune Plugins – Pitch Correction for Home Recording - Duration: 4:02.

Hey guys, in this video we're going to cover 3 free autotune plugins.

These are used to do pitch correction on vocal performances if they're just a little bit

off, or to create that very obvious autotune effect.

Keep in mind though that autotune isn't a fix-all solution here, and you should use

it sparingly.

It's always better to just get a really good vocal performance to start with instead

of just thinking you can fix it after.

The first plugin we'll look at is called MAutoPitch and it's available for free from

MedlaProduction Audio.

The free version is functional, but it's a little annoying since there's a big banner

at the bottom and you can't resize the plugin.

The pitch correction out of this plugin also isn't the best we'll look at in this video.

It does correct the pitch, but there is a lot of unintentional snapping to different

notes, even when setting the scale correctly.

The plugin doesn't track pitch too well and it's overly sensitive so it snaps to

different notes.

For the controls, we have a depth control to control the amount of pitch correction,

and speed which affects how fast it changes.

Even with the speed down to less than 15% I still have problems with it jumping notes.

Below that, there's also a detuning option.

The advantage with this plugin is there is a scale option, allowing you to switch between

chromatic, major, minor, and pentatonic scales.

Overall it's an ok plugin to try out, but I think there are better options available

for free.

The next plugin on our list is Graillon 2.

This plugin has a free version with the pitch correction and pitch shift.

It's missing a few of the tone modification and pitch tracking features of the full version,

but it's included on our list since the autotune features are free.

This plugin can control the notes that it snaps to by selecting them on the keyboard

at the bottom.

As the track is playing, we'll see the snapping in the note circle up above.

We have a knob to adjust the amount of pitch correction, and we can change how it snaps.

The inertia makes it hold onto a note, so it doesn't jump around too quickly.

Smooth is basically like the attack, correction how fast it snaps.

Ssnap range controls how far off a note can be and still snap to a corrected note.

Last we have the reference pitch, but we need to leave that alone.

This autotune plugin does sound really nice, and it's easy to get a fairly natural automatic

sound, but it is completely automated with no way to change the note it snaps to.

Number one on our list of free autotune plugins is GSnap Autotune.

The reason this plugin gets our number one spot is because you can actually control the

note snapping with MIDI.

In this case, you set up a MIDI track that has all the notes for the vocals, then you

send that to the vocal track.

GSnap can be set to receive the MIDI and use that as it's snapping point.

This gives you a lot more control and prevents unintentional snapping.

What I recommend is creating a synth on the MIDI track for the vocals, that way you can

hear the melody as you create the MIDI track.

If you're not using MIDI, we can also set any sort of scale by selecting it through

the plugin, or turning on and off certain notes on the keyboard.

For controls, we still have the normal detection controls.

In this case, we can set the frequencies it detects, gate and speed, so it doesn't unintentionally

track noise as notes.

Below that, we have similar controls to the other plugins to control the amount of correction.

Finally at the bottom there's a few more MIDI controls.

This is actually a pretty good plugin to use, and it can do anything from a robotic autotune,

so very subtle pitch correction when we don't want it to be noticeable.

Thanks for checking out this video on free autotune plugins.

Lykkefanten 1997 film - Second of trilogy Forbudt for børn by Jesper W. Nielsen. Southern Comfort - Duration: 53:33.

Southern Comfort "The Luckyphant"

Hello!

Hello!

- Open up! - Hello.

- Anybody out there? - Yes, here!

- Here! - Ida?

Unlock! I want in!

- You may not come in. - Yes, I may!

- I have the right! - No, not yet, Ida...

But I have always been a good girl, very good.

Yes, yes, of course you have.

Then, may I come in?

You shall not be a good girl, you shall be happy.

I was happy! It's true!

You could have been much happier.

I wan't to come in!

If you don't unlock...

Mother loved me, at least a little.

How else would I've been happy?

I hear you are angry.

You're the one who could have helped me with father.

"Bongo-bongo"

And our journey.

Mother really wanted to be sure.

She says...

It was because they were getting a divorce.

She said so all the time: "I'll travel alone."

But she got worse anyway, but father will never know.

Grandma?

This is Ida. Could you come?

Mother is sick again.

Father comes later.

They're both coming.

Yes, okay. Bye-bye!

Ida, next time mother gets sick, could you call me straight away?

Could you promise me that?

We want her to get better.

Do you promise to call me? Honestly?

- Yes. - Good!

Ida, you can tell your mother I've poured her a bath.

Skrubsak! You frightened me!

I'll kill you, with my claws!

Oh, and what is this? Has the beast eaten a snake?

Are you nuts? It's my penis!

So? Oh, but... Yes, how nice.

That you're glad, I mean.

"My ship went down, but destiny had mercy"

"Finally saved, and my 'luckyphant' " (luck I found).

"Luckyphant?"

What the hell is a "luckyphant?"

It's an elephant!

"My ship went down, but destiny had mercy"

"Finally saved, and my 'sillyphant.' "

A tiger!

Thanks, father! Now I'm a tiger man!

That's nice, Skrubsak. As long as you're glad.

Just like his father. Come, I'll help you.

This thing... I'll fix that.

Ida...

Won't you open your gift, too?

I won't.

It's only some... "bonga-bonga"

Have you found a place to live?

Yes, we found a big and well-lit apartment.

So, now we're neighbors to the Eiffel Tower.

Then you must be happy.

Yes, of course we are.

- Cheers! - Cheers!

And have a nice trip.

Cheers!

Next time you get drunk, Ida promised to call me immediately.

Now it's enough!

Or you'll lose your children.

Pull yourself together.

It could have been you two who were moving to Paris.

Do something, something healthy.

Or something else. Eat carrots.

Why isn't it you who can put on an itty-bitty smile.

What does a smile mean? Just sorrows.

Ida?

You two shouldn't be talking about your father.

At least not while your mother can hear you.

She just gets sad. Okay?

Here's something -

- that isn't "bonga-bonga."

Thanks, grandma!

That's him.

Do you know what?

I've found a job.

I will start working soon. Then I can make some money.

And then us three will go on vacation!

Vacation! Vacation!

- I think it's dark! - Dark? Let there be light!

We're going on vacation! We're going on vacation!

We're starting over.

I remember this kind. Good for eating.

Ida, can you put Skrubsak to bed?

I'll just...

Are you pulling your hair out?

Yes, or I can't sleep.

Can't you just think about something nice?

Aren't you happy about your gift?

No...

It's the same with father, I wish he was happy.

Mother doesn't want to talk about him.

Father is forbidden, or mother will be sad.

And she shouldn't be.

- Can't you show me? - Okay.

One for you and one for me.

Do we have a deal?

But Ida, weren't they very expensive?

Yes, but I got 100 crowns from grandma.

Let's put them on, shall we?

- I want that one! - No, I want it.

Oh, no!

I can't reach them!

Can't you try? You've got longer legs than I.

This is disgusting, Klara. Have you seen this?

Don't expect much, Ida, it's sewer pipes.

You don't want to put your nose in there.

There... A bit further. No! Almost.

Eww! Shit! I lost my shoe.

Perhaps you get it all up with the other shoe?

And a little bit further.

Klara! The earrings.

They're gone!

Oh, no. Now the other shoe is gone, too.

I'm so cold!

- You can borrow my boots. - Yes, please!

It's Skrubsak.

What's with him?

You'd better not come inside, I'm going to bed.

But Ida! What about me?

I have no shoes! Ida!

Skrubsak!

Why aren't you at the day-care center?

I'm upset 'cos mother said she'd wash my tiger outfit.

Mother!

Mother!

You have to wash my tiger outfit.

Mother?

Wake up!

She's dead!

Ida, mother is dead!

No, she's not dead. She just went into herself.

Where did she go?

I don't know.

When does she come back?

Impossible to know.

What if we watch her until she comes back?

So she doesn't want to go into herself.

Won't work.

But you will see, when she comes back -

- she'll be glad.

And she'll smile.

Just like father.

Yes... Come, Skrubsak.

It's in pieces.

My tiger.

Have you talked to mother about father again?

So, that's why

Who are you calling?

Grandma. We will call, right?

Ida.

We need to talk.

Come...

Come here!

Your cigarette is broken.

There's something I want to -

Stop that!

If you call grandma -

- she will call the hospital -

- and my illness will be known.

And you two will be sent to an orphanage.

But I didn't call.

You may never call.

No one must know.

Or I'll lose the both of you.

It's our secret.

That only we know.

We shall never be separated.

You'll watch Skrubsak, and I... will watch my work.

Look! I can, too.

Let go!

Remember, you can never tell anyone.

No! You can't bite on the toothbrush!

When you brush, I can't hear.

I only said that you can never tell anyone about mother's illness.

Or we will end up in an orphanage.

Then we will have neither father nor mother.

Then no one will watch us.

And that's why we won't tell anyone.

Can you show me?

Yes, but I just want to --- (Pepi said: Can't understand what the little dude says)

That's not it.

They'll soon be friends.

They're helping each other.

Just ordinary people.

They're exactly like us.

Hello, this is Ida.

"I want to talk to your mother."

Mother isn't home, she's at work.

"You think that?"

"If she isn't here tomorrow, you can tell her she's fired."

But she will be there.

She was taking care of something for our trip.

She's coming now.

Mother, wake up!

What is it, Ida?

Your wallet. I need your purse, now!

My purse? Why?

Because!

Just take it.

Come on, Skrubsak.

It's late, you have to get up!

Come on.

I don't want to go to the day-care center.

You have to, or I can't to go to school.

I'm sick. I have an ache on my head.

It's called "a headache"

No, for me it's "on," in my hair.

If I don't go to school they will call and find out about mother.

There is no food so you have to eat at the day-care center.

No, I have to eat now, or I'll starve.

I want something to eat!

Food!

- Can't you please put on your clothes. - No!

Can't you at least spread them over you?

No! I don't want any clothes on!

I can't push you anymore.

Can't you walk a little?

I can't, you didn't feed me, and put those on me, I'm cold.

That's not... not good.

No, it's good.

What are you looking for?

Nothing...

Ida, have you seen my purse?

No...

- Shouldn't you be at work? - Mind your own business!

But don't you have use for the money?

Have you been shopping?

So it's you who took my money?

Hand it over!

- I had to take it. - Hand it over!

You gave it to me!

Where have you put it?

Stop it!

Do you steal from your own mother?

They are mine...

Stop, stop crying.

Then, finally...

When we can do that trip you will be glad again.

I'll just buy these bottles and then I'll quit.

I took the bottles.

Those I found in the cupboard, I've hidden them in the basement.

You really frightened me.

My darling girl.

- Where are they? - Under the stairs.

Where are the bottles, Ida?

Ida. Ida!

Unlock!

Unlock this damn door!

It's terrible when she screams all the time.

I can hear her all the time.

Is there something you want?

Are you thirsty?

What shall mother do when I'm sick?

She's at work.

So she can make some money for our vacation.

"Thailand - The Land of Smiles"

Ida.

Ida! Wake up!

Wake up!

Hello? Hi, grandma.

No, I'm sick.

Ida will do that, 'cos mother is sick.

No, Ida is sleeping.

I know mother is sleeping.

Will you come now?

Are you crazy?

Now we have to go to the orphanage!

Idiot!

When grandma comes you'll be okay!

And mother is at work, you follow?

I want to go to father.

You want, and want.

I want to go to father!

You can't go.

Yes, I can!

- No! - Yes!

Shut up!

No, I won't!

You can't go to father, do you understand?

Idiot!

I'll take your present.

Take it, damn it!

- Mother? - Ida.

Mother?

Grandma is coming.

Skrubsak has told.

What's with the key? What are you doing, mother?

I don't want to go to the orphanage.

I want to be with you.

You will stop drinking, or I'll take the key!

Mother, do you promise? If you love me, you promise.

Do you love me, mother? Grandma will come, do you love me?

I love you, Ida.

Ida, our trip. The three of us will go...

All three, you hear?

Are you happy now?

Ida, what are you doing?

What happens here?

You feel warm.

What has happened?

They're gone.

Orphanage...

Help...

Mother, help me!

How do you treat your own children?

- Now I'm calling! - No!

Yes, Ida, right away!

NO!

Ida, stay here!

Don't torture yourself.

Hurry after Ida, and comfort her!

Pull yourself together!

I want to come in!

- Go back. - Never! Not while she drinks!

- She doesn't love me! - Yes.

Ida!

Go now, Ida, she doesn't drink anymore.

I don't believe that.

Yes, she'll do anything to get you back.

She doesn't.

Go back now.

Never! I can go round the back instead.

I couldn't get in.

No, because in reality you don't want to come in.

Your mother has stopped drinking, and you love each other.

I want to come in!

But Ida. I can show you. Do you want to see?

Ida!

If you go inside...

You will never get out again.

Never...

Mother?

No, let me go!

I will never drink again. Never again.

I promise you, I'll never drink again.

Mother, I have missed you.

Come.

Look, Ida. Now we're the same.

You can wake up now.

Mother?

Mother? Are you really resting now?

You can be sure of it.

Let me see. Hi, mother.

- Are you in there? - You bet!

I was never alone down there.

It has something to do with love.

Always.

You don't decide those things.

But you really should.

3 tips for becoming an entrpreneur - Duration: 6:37.

what's up everybody hope you're having an amazing amazing day wanted to jump on

here and share some value with you because sharing is caring sharing is

beautiful sharing it's what we start to change the world with start to change

our lives start to change other people's lives when we can share our own

experiences share our knowledge of what we have been learning and that is one of

the key tools that I've learned also with jumping in and learning from a new

group of very successful entrepreneurs and I wanted to share some key tips with

you today and this can be used for anything any part of your life you can

take these tips and go with it this does not just have to be for online

entrepreneur this can be anything that you are thinking of creating so here's

some tips that I'm gonna throw at you for free because everybody loves things

for free and I'm sending it with loads and loads of love and gratitude from

where I've learnt it from so number one is knowing that you need to find an

entrepreneurial or business and your job that works into your own life versus you

having to schedule yourself around your job making what you are creating making

your passions fit into your life that you are wanting to have versus vice

versa that way you are not like you hate getting out of bed you're dreading your

whole life or that you're dreading your day make it work for you so you are

happy and being an entrepreneur you need to be able to find passion with creating

everything so number two is sorry I have a bug

that's just flying around my face is finding a way to create more equity and

income into your life so you can flourish with your with these ideas that

you are wanting to create don't use the excuse of I don't have enough money I

don't like have good credit I didn't have a very good credit and I found a

way there's always a way if there's things that you need to do if you need

to get a second job if you need to sell some things of yours. Everybody has excess

products and excess pieces that they can get rid of to create more equity into

your business so get a job that maybe it's not your favorite job out there but

it's going to create more income so you can build your business that you truly

truly want to live and not thinking this isn't forever it's just until you can

get some extra money in there because you need money you need to be able to

spend the money to make money and everybody knows that everybody's heard

that multiple times you've heard it from billionaires you've heard some very

successful people as well you need to be able to spend money to make so find a

way get creative put things on Kijiji walk a dog dog sit start babysitting

something get creative and number three is finding good mentorship this is so

important to me is that I'm finding good mentors that help me lift me up to be

the best version of myself there are also mentorship is key all

successful business people have mentors they have people that they lean on to

guide them to give them extra tools when they are feeling stuck

they need to be guided like I said and I have found amazing amazing mentors that

have helped me so much to remove blocks to remind me on how to take action and

this is probably the most important tool that I have learned is to find good

mentors you need a mentorship if it's one or if it's a group of people that

you can lean on to guide you to success this is absolutely number number one

this should have been the first one but I'm leading into it and you need a

little bit of equity because most mentors are they cost money and

everything costs money right so again getting creative with that previous step

of how to succeed in your life and number three is keeping a little bit

quiet on your ideas until and let your results speak for themselves versus

asking and talking to people at the starting stages of your building of your

ideas building of your brand building of your business whatever it is and the

reason why is be most likely and I've had this happen to me multiple times

other people's opinions and judgment will start to squish and squash your

ideas right then in there and you stop taking action and then it's done for

and you don't believe that this is good enough what are people gonna think of me

so keep your lips a little bit sealed and rather than talking and reaching out

to family and friends reach out to your mentors reach out to your group of

positive thinking entrepreneurs or positive thinking group of people that

you have found in the previous step and lean on them ask them the questions and

this is how we can start to let our results speak for themselves

because that's key letting your results letting people see how happy you are

changing and your moods and your habits and let that speak for themselves so I

hope this helps I hope me sharing some extra content with you is great and I

hope you have an amazing amazing day

you

Even though weve known for decades that the liberals are typically hostile to anything

having to do with the Christian faith, most of us never thought wed see the day when

the legality of the Bible itself was put in jeopardy.

Yet in the socialist state of California, thats exactly what appears to be happening.

Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an unlawful business practice to engage in a transaction

intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any

consumer that either advertises or engages in sexual orientation change efforts with

an individual. In the bill, the phrase sexual orientations change efforts is

defined as any practices that seek to change an individuals sexual orientation.

This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or

reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex.

It would appear that this definition would include the Bible, since the Bible explicitly

condemns homosexual behavior and defines marriage as being between one man and one woman.

That means that if Assembly Bill 2943 is officially signed into law, it could ban the sale of

the Bible in the state of California, which, for obvious reasons, would be an assault on

not just the Constitution but on the very fabric of America.

First and foremost, the First Amendment guarantees that each citizen is endowed with the inalienable

right to freely practice their religion without interference from the government.

This includes not only the reading of the Bible, but also the private sale of the Bible

from individuals or companies looking to spread the Christian faith.

Banning the Bible, which Assembly Bill 2943 would likely do, is a clear violation of the

freedom of religion as outlined in the Constitution.

Second, as a matter of free-market economics, since when does the government have the authority

to control which products are sold by businesses and which are not?

If California can legally declare that the sale of the Bible is prohibited, does this

mean that they can ban any book that doesnt subscribe to the progressive ideology?

Can they ban the sale of the Dont Tread on Me flag?

Can they ban the sale of Make America Great Again hats?

Can they ban the sale of pro-Trump and pro-conservative bumper stickers?

Where does this end?

Clearly, Assembly Bill 2943 would open up a can of worms, so to speak, and would ultimately

lead to the state government having unprecedented authority over which products businesses can

and cant sell to the people of California, regardless of how harmless those products

might be.

Sadly, this is hardly the first time that the freedom of religion and the Christian

faith have come under attack in this country.

Indeed, there seems to be a nationwide effort underway (perpetuated by the liberals) to

drag America away from its Christian roots in the name of tolerance and progress.

Back in 2015, for instance, contractors in the state of Oklahoma began taking down a

2,400-pound monument depicting the Ten Commandments from the grounds of the states Capitol

building.

The decision to remove the monument came after the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled earlier that

summer that its presence violated the states constitution.

And thats just one example out of dozens in state after state, this war on Christianity

continues, whether its in the form of dissuading people from saying the phrase Merry Christmas,

removing religious monuments like crosses and the Ten Commandments from public grounds,

or, in the case of California, proposing legislation that would ban the sale of the Bible.

The longer this war is allowed to go on, the further America seems to get from its founding

principles.
