Best of Shark Tank TV

Shark Tank Kevin And Barbara Want To Work Together For Toor LockBox - Best Of Shark Tank TV

hello sharks my name is jr. and I'm from the Big D Dallas text are here seeking

$500,000 in exchange for 10% equity stake in my business tour as you know

buying a home should be fun and exciting especially for touring with Barbara but

for the rest of us not so much it's time-consuming and frustrating imagine

it you're driving down the street trying to look for that perfect property new

spot one now what you can call an agent wait days for an appointment or even

worse wait weeks for an open house wouldn't it be great if you could tour

that property right there on the spot well thanks to me you can I'd like to

introduce you to tour the world's smartest lockbox tour is the first

lockbox that allows buyers and sellers to access the lockbox with or without an

ancient Wow Barbara I know you've opened some doors in your career I'd love some

helper Thank You dick yeah so imagine Barbara's driving down the street and

she sees a property for sale she pulls it up on the tour app she

immediately sends a request the seller approves her showing and immediately

Barbara is able to tour the property so Barbara simply walk up to the box

mm-hmm press the power button until you see that color wheel

okay now simply press open on the app okay easy enough

there you go now the lock locks opens up okay so grab the keys tour the property

on her own or with the realtor feel like a winner now once you're done put the

keys back in the lockbox okie dokie and simply press close on the

app there you go give it a second and it'll close right up the seller gets a

notification saying Barbara's completed her tour and now bravura can leave

feedback and be on her way thank you so much nice and shake thank you nice suit

thank you so sharks which one of you guys wants to join me in opening this

door to opportunity junior while it's fresh on my mind yes what happens if the

person who just give the tour does not redeposit the key but closes it anyway

if that key is removed for a set period of time that you the seller sets you get

a notification if that key is not put back but if it were my home I'm not sure

I would want somebody to go in on a squirt a great question so the beauty of

our product is that you the seller you get to determine what type of showing

you want in your house so if you want an agent present you simply require an

agent present that's very cool because normally you have to wait to

find somebody they have to go get a key at the office you got it you got it

shown your numbers how much have you sold yeah so zero it's cuz we're brand

new but but fortunately we hadn't want your punishment now no later later wait

hear me out here we are so fortunately we had a successful

Kickstarter campaign we actually sold over 800 boxes raising over a hundred

thousand dollars so we have over a hundred thousand dollars of pre-sales

how much you selling them so so the lock box itself is 199 what does it cost you

to make them fifty dollars and then 75 delivered to the customer I'm very

curious what your background is I'm a real estate like a real does I flipped

my first house when I was 18 years old when I was at college at Texas Tech I

was president of the real estate organization where really why is it that

you like real estate so much great question so my parents are from Haiti

they worked hard to put me in a very nice private school all my best friends

lived and literally been nice as Mark Cuban's neighborhood to be exact

ever since I saw these big houses I fell in love with real estate okay

Junior defend your 5 million reais where you get to that let me let roll off

minutes 5 million how much money of you invested I'm not going to stop I don't

know why it ever not ready I'm ready I'm coming why it's worth five million

dollars here's how we make money we charge a monitoring fee for these locked

boxes how much is the monthly $100 a month it's a fun a lot of guys Barbara

please educate these guys on how much you spend every month guys thanks me is

a lot of money look last Saturday I visited 15 homes in a day each with an

electronic lock box on it the agents just held their phone up that's a

Bluetooth there you go these devices exist already but so you have one

incremental change on that which is an interface where a user can say yes I'll

let people in when there isn't an agent there that's the only thing no no no box

house - what's different

I've had to wait on that agent to let you in right it's not so the only thing

you have different is the interface sellers say no

imagine if you could see five properties in one day on your own as opposed to

calling your agent the agent calls the showing company the showing company

called a listing agent a listing agent calls the seller the seller confirms it

they go back to the listing agent the listing agent calls the showing company

the showing company then confirms with the buying she hates wasting time more

than I do but why can't the company that already has massive market shares do

exactly this if you look at the incumbents in our industry they're old

they're dated their technology's old they have no platform they're so

disconnected from Realtors today anyone in the real estate convince me that

somebody who actually has an a smart lockbox operated by bluetooth is old and

disconnected I mean it's like two-year old technology but there's there's wait

our platform is more than just a lockbox literally the the verification part of

what you're doing is the easiest part so what is would you say your secret sauce

I don't know if you have any IP on this or we do we do patent-pending the

ability to open and close the lockbox mechanically without physically closing

which enables our remote opening and closing then no one else can do that you

gotta what correct technology okay not on a lockbox

absolutely not what we have you seen absolutely there is not a single lockbox

out there that can close on its own I'm sitting here somebody tell us that the

state of Technology is what it is so what what lockbox can close on its own

so let me see let me see you I get to hold on let me see if I get this in

square Chris is having his discus when Chris went to look at 15 homes how did

you schedule those 15 we had an agent take us to half of them I saw no no

that's not what I asked that's not what I had how did you schedule them you made

a plan to go see 15 homes in the development some of us grew up when we

dreamed and inspired to buy a house we drive around a news account and listen

junior you got the sharks arguing about noir

this model that we happen to have bar like we all know it's real estate here

are you gonna give this guy $500,000 it's a tough call he's entirely right it

clearly answers a need and you're not gonna get any innovation out of the old

guys in the industry they would have invented it a long time ago you're

asleep at the wheel they don't want the change because they own the market

secondly you had probably one of the best salespeople I've ever seen in my

life perfect I mean not only do you know your

stuff you kind of leveled the playing field with this Daddy Warbucks at the

end waken the wearing the fake cowboy shirt well listen I like when people

create better mousetraps and this is a better mousetrap obviously for your

application but my problem here today is just that it's really really early so

because you're not ready yet I know thank you so much for your time I

appreciate it jr. everybody agrees you're great

salesman so the problem is you blew it by asking for half a million in the

prototype stage it's too much risk however I'd like to be invested in a

damn good sales guy I'm gonna structure a deal this way I'll give you the

$500,000 in two components a hunt ski $100,000 and I get the 10% equity for

that then I loan you $400,000 I'm gonna charge you 18% for that which is what

you would pay in the market would you like to take that offer does that make

sense to you I'd like to consider the offer you've

got to make a decision

one shark is out Junior has one offer on the table from Kevin $500,000 for a 10%

stake but $400,000 of it as a loan that 18% interest for his smart lockbox

company tour would you like to take that offers that make sense to you

I'd like to consider the offer I'd like to hear from my my guys on the end here

jr. I'll save some time if I knew the real estate business at all right I

would do something with you I just don't see a path where I can say I can help

you get from here to here as much as I hate to say it amount so jr. Barbara bye

dear I'd like to join Kevin on his offer but I need to have a contingency but is

it's an enormous ly a high-risk look it's contingent that we can sell it to a

giant chain to buy a ton of these locked boxes and we'll both help you do that

it's nothing but calling all the heads of these firms all right allowing you to

make your sales presentation you're the best salesman we've ever met yeah just

get the door and you're done let's save the best for last

whoa be careful boy I'll be careful but here what I think you were testing me no

look the very best products and the very best entrepreneurs are the ones worth

arguing with right that's that's what's led to the creation that glass has none

like this uh back you are no because that means we're both emotionally

invested in some probably both care about this I'm torn you're one of the

greatest salespeople I've ever seen but this is an idea that I think is looking

backwards let's be honest keys are going away not today not today but here's the

thing I don't want a better mousetrap I want a bear trap it's gonna be around 10

15 20 years a big public company worth billions of dollars

these guys like that short-term the two-year three-year tenure take his

hiney back to the vet look look here's the thing man

prove me wrong make me pay ten times more for it next year but today I'm out

ah that's sad to hear Chris Kevin to have you as a partner Barbara to have a

partner in the real estate industry obviously it would be a no-brainer

here's what I would counter you $250,000 for 10% and 250,000 dollar line of

credit

okay we'll do two hundred thousand for the ten percent three hundred loan

deal good job here and I want to discuss it over dinner tonight

there's brutal in there but I'm super through it about my partners I'm ready

to get to work

Top Comic Characters for April 2018 - Duration: 3:59.

Every month there's hundreds of characters in comics who jockey for

their shot at the top slot here, but in the end there can only be ten in the Top

Ten Heroes and Villains for April of 2018. Let's get started! At Number 10 we

have Lightning from Marvel Comics. Miguel Santos will probably go back into the

toy chest immediately following the conclusion of Avengers: No Surrender. And

he may never return to this list again. But let it be known that Lightning

single-handedly saves the planet in a completely earned and legitimately cool

moment. And moving right into our Number 9 slot is The Grandmaster. After seeing

Jeff Goldblum Jeff Goldblum his way around that character it was nice to see

the comics kept his character intact in Avengers: No Surrender. A classic

antagonist who found himself playing all manner of dangerous games against his

own pieces and the would-be Grandmaster himself: The Challenger. ...But who really

cares about him anyway? At Number 8, people forget that while Superman turned

80 thanks to his first appearance in Action Comics number one his gal Friday

wife mother of their children and all-around female icon herself Lois Lane

also debuted in the very same issue. We wouldn't be shocked if Bendis gave Lois

a much bigger role than ever before when he eases into his writing job.

Congratulations and happy birthday Ms Lane! Number Seven: who would have thought

this one-off idea from a Thanos book would have this much fanfare? Cosmic

Ghost Rider had an awesome and forgivably brief mystery that, when revealed,

only made people more excited about him! So much in fact that he's getting his

own series in July written by Donnie freaking Cates, and that's just for

starters! I'll bet we can expect a cool action figure, mobile game skins, a movie

and a Netflix tie-in series all in the next year and a half. Or at the very

least a bunch of cool tattoos. Number Six, being called the Kite Man of the Justice

League by his own robot sidekick, Booster Gold is getting a major push from DC and

in particular Tom King like never before with recent developments in the Batman

title. If Booster Gold got a series out of this much exposure and positive press

we wouldn't be the least bit surprised. Our Number Five is Ninjak. Valiant has

been teasing this webseries since 2014 and now it's finally here and people can

start asking themselves, "Do I recognize anyone in this show?" Chock full of great

fight choreography and cool superhero shenanigans, if you aren't aware of the

show, you should probably check it out. This is probably the biggest push of a

single character Valiant's ever had. Number Four is Thanos. He's finally gonna

say more than two or three things... Probably? You're seeing him Infinity War

and his stock is going to go through the freaking roof. Don't be

surprised if you start seeing prune chin merchandise all over the place for quite

some time. Number Three is the Red Goblin. Sure, when Silver Surfer gets the Carnage

symbiote, nobody panics but when Norman Osborn takes it over everybody loses their

freakin minds! Even though he looks more like a Demogoblin than a Green Goblin

this unexpectedly awesome direction for the Osborn character is helping to

ensure that Dan Slott's departure from the Spider-Man title will be a memorable one.

No question! Number Two is Deadpool because Deadpool's popularity is so

potent it's practically an aphrodisiac. But that's been the case pretty much

since New Mutants #98. Of course in this case there's a hotly anticipated

sequel coming out next month so it shouldn't surprise anybody to find the

Merc With A Mouth not far from this list. And the Number One Top Hero or

Villain for April of 2018 of course is the Man of Steel. The Boy in Blue. The

dude turned 80 and still looks amazing even when he's rocking the Quailman look.

He just celebrated Action Comics #1,000 with a gorgeous anthology and a

little tease towards the future. Congratulations Superman! You've earned

it. But it's not all sunshine and rainbows because we've got to take a

look at our Fail of the Month! That's right, our breakout character of the

month who just kind of sucked. And the Fail of the Month goes to this

overdeveloped character Rogol Zaar! This dumb looking character apparently

destroyed Krypton and knew Jor-El before doing the deed. Hopefully we'll learn a

little bit more about this guy before he fades into obscurity but April's Action

Comics #1,000 saw the first official appearance of this gross faced

weirdo. From his unpronounceable name to his incomprehensible physiology to his

out of the gate retconning of Krypton's origins...

Yeesh Rogol Zaar, we hardly knew ye. And that's a good thing.

Hey, thanks so much for hanging out with us and checking out the Top Ten Heroes

and Villains of April 2018. Stay tuned next month for a new list (which may

have some of the same characters). You never know! It's up to the comic book

industry, really. Don't forget to like this video, subscribe to our channel and

News Kenya Moore Lands In Trouble With Fans For Talking About Religion While Being Shady On 'RHOA' - Duration: 4:40.

Kenya Moore Lands In Trouble With Fans For Talking About Religion While Being Shady On 'RHOA'

Oh boy! Kenya Moore is being destroyed on social media because she decided to talk about her religion briefly.

A few hours ago, Marc Daly's wife shared a gorgeous picture with her sister, Lisa.

Kenya and Lisa are "twins," both ladies are stunning and have beautiful hair and sweet smiles.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star explained that she is currently in Detroit, Michigan where she attended service at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

So far, so good, right? Wrong.

Many people are slamming Kenya because she dared to bring up religion in her post.

Naysayers say that how can Kenya be a God-fearing woman when she is often arguing with her co-stars.

One person said: "Girl, I was raised a Jehovah's Witness, and when I became of age, I had to unlearn and relearn the Bible for myself.

She annoying and a drama queen, no relationship lasted # I just don't think ( my opinion) it was all religion….no shade I want her to win a get off this show.".

A fan defended her by writing: "Religion is a choice between the individual and God.

There is no right or wrong in God's Eyes.

We are all imperfect human beings in any religion.

I'm going to say this though.

A lot of people on here claiming to be JW's are NOT acting accordingly.

Where in the bible does it give you the right to throw stones at others who don't think like you? I think you might have missed something when you went to the kingdom hall today.

Shouldn't you be praying for them to see and feel the goodness Jehovah brings you instead of tearing them down because you feel you're correct and they may not be? I left a long time ago.

However, my Mother took her last breath knowing in her heart and mind and body and soul she was loved and adored by the Almighty God Jehovah.

People forget it's not about what others think of you.

Its what you think of yourself and how happy your almighty God makes you feel.

Stay Blessed however you choose to live.

Don't hurt others to make yourself feel better.

Have A Blessed Sunday.".

A neutral comment read: "WOW!! These Comments.

All Because Of Her Location Tag.

If Kenya Had Posted This Pic Without Her Location, Would It Had Been Important.

Life Is Way Too Short.

Blessings Everyone!!!".

What are your thoughts on this unexpected debate?.

News Kenya Moore Has A Piece Of Advice For Her Fans In Her Latest Post And Disables Comments - Duration: 2:58.

Kenya Moore Has A Piece Of Advice For Her Fans In Her Latest Post And Disables Comments

Kenya Moore posted something interesting recently and she disabled the comments on that specific post.

We're wondering why she did this and whose slamming is she trying to avoid.

Check it out below.

'Growth is Learning when to speak and what to speak about.

You don't have to match negative energy.

Happy Saturday!' Kenya captioned her post.

The post reads 'Before you speak, let your words pass three gates: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?'.

Fans did not have the opportunity to comment anything on this post, and we're really curious why Kenya disabled comments.

Kenya just made a makeup-free appearance in People magazine, and she invited her followers to check her out.

She posted the magazine's cover on her social media account to break the news to her fans, while at the same time gushing over Pink who is featured on the magazine's cover.

'Congrats to @pink for your @people cover! Check me out inside make up free! Thank you to everyone for reading my story about having lifelong cystic acne and the scars it left behind.

Thank you @juliegessin for doing the first laser resurfacing on me (a dark-skinned woman of color) and @drmyla for the innovative treatments in between.

My skin has drastically improved! #kenyamoore #rhoa #beauty #makeupfree #beautyisfromwithin' Kenya captioned her Instagram post.

enya's fans were really impressed, and they gushed over her look, while also congratulating her for becoming a mother soon.

She is pregnant with Marc Daly's baby.

Get started with Azure for .NET developers | Azure Friday - Duration: 10:31.

>> Hey friends. I'm here with

Barry Luijbregts, AzureBarry on Twitter.

You should follow him, Twitter.com/AzureBarry.

Barry is one of our first people

to come in Azure Friday and he works at Microsoft,

and this is important because I want you to keep it real.

I want you to talk to me about Azure for.NET Developers,

because you're not selling anything,

you now work at Microsoft.

>> Exactly. Yeah.

>> So you've also put together

a free ebook that we can check out.

And we made a small URL for you.

So, aka.ms/azurefordotnetdevs,

and you really are focusing on Azure

from a.NET Developer's perspective?

>> Exactly, yeah.

So, this is a free ebook that I

co-wrote with a bunch of Microsoft employees,

and it explains why Azure

is cool for dotnetdevs, and how you can get started.

So, this is cool for.NET

Developers that are new to Azure,

but also for.NET Developers that

already are familiar with Azure but just

want to know which services are out for me

as dotnetdev and which tools can I actually use.

>> Yeah. There's a lot to choose

from and sometimes it's overwhelming.

Sometimes people say, well,

Azure.Net people should use only app service.

>> Exactly.

>> There's a lot of choices out there,

it's hard to make this decision.

>> Exactly, yeah. So, in the book,

we actually cover a couple of things.

We cover what can Azure do for you, as a.NET Developer.

And then we cover a bunch of services,

so it's kind of a service catalog.

Like you said, app services but also things like CDN,

which are very useful containers,

all that stuff for running your applications

in.Net or in Azure.

Things for storing data in Azure,

securing your.Net application in Azure,

and all the Azure services like Media Services,

IoT Anche, IoT Hub,

there are many many services, that's all listed in here.

And more importantly there's also a section about

tools that you can use for

developing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Good.Net applications in Azure.

>> So, do you think this book is a kind of

a decision tree to make

the right decision for your application,

because everyone's application is different?

>> Yeah. It also contains stable's, where you can see,

what do I want to use for running my application.

Which one. Which services are the best picks for me.

So you can just use that to

pick the best services for you.

>> Okay. Azure for some

beginner.Net devs is just putting a website up.

>> Yeah exactly.

>> And for some older.Net devs,

and by older I mean they've been in

the business for a long time perhaps they

will take a single server

and they'll get IRS and they'll talk to each other.

But to have real true Cloud Scale,

there's techniques and things that you can do to

make your application scale

both horizontally and vertically.

>> Exactly. And you can do that very basically,

with a slider you can scale up and down,

or you can do it much more advanced as well,

with automatic scaling and all that stuff.

>> Right. Things like surface fabric and

other things we've talked about on on the show.

And now when I get visual studio,

do I have all the tools that I need

to be a dotnet developer in Azure?

>> Not yet per say,

and I want to show you how to get those tools.

So if it was visual studio

2017, let me show you that here.

When you go to tools,

and get tools and features,

you actually go to the visual studio installer,

and here you see all the

workloads that visual studio can run.

>> It's is a good reminder you can

run the installer multiple times.

>> Exactly. And is

actually very quick in visual studio 2017.

>> That's nice to know.

>> Yes. So you can have workloads

for.Net Desktop development for

instance but also for Azure, and it's this one here.

And when you click on this and you install this,

you get all sorts of features in

visual studio to work with Azure very easily.

>> So our workload is the word for

that box that then installs a number of features?

>> Exactly.

>> So that's for Visual studio 2017.

But if you're running Visual studio 2015 for instance,

you can also download the SDK on this page here,

and onto tools to work with for instance

Azure functions or Azure Cosmos DB,

there's a local emulator all that stuff.

>> That's cool.

That's nice to know that people on

a different version of Visual Studio aren't left behind.

>> Exactly. So when you actually have

this workload installed in

Visual studio 2017, you get a bunch of things.

>> Okay.

>> So first of all, when you do file a new project,

you get a new category that's called Cloud.

And as you see here, you get

to start to as your functions for instance,

a project as your Cloud services resource groups,

and all sorts of things for the Cloud out of the books.

It's very easy. And, you also

get the ability to

publish things to the Cloud very easily.

So for instance, I have here ASP.Net Core application.

Very simple one. And now

one because I have the workload installed,

I can just right click on the project,

and I say publish, and then I

can pick Microsoft Azure app services for instance,

and then I can just publish it today.

And from here, I can create new app service if I want to,

whether a new resource group and a new service plan.

I don't have to go to the Azure portal.

I do all of that just from here,

From Visual Studio, and it's very powerful.

>> So people who already have Visual Studio

2017 on their machine,

but maybe haven't kind of dipped

their toe into Azure yet just need to

go and run the installer again

or go to the tools menu and take it features.

They can add this and now these will

light up in different places within Visual Studio.

>> Exactly. Yes. So it's very easy to do.

And you get the very powerful features like for instance

this publishing to Azure

and creating an app service from scratch there.

So, I've actually already

published this application in Azure,

and once you've done that,

you get something like this

within.Azure websites.Net extension,

and has this website that we see here.

We're going to play with that later.

Another thing that you get out of

the books is that the Cloud Explorer.

And it's this little thing here.

And this allows you to

see all the services that you have in Azure,

and to examine them and to work with them.

Like for instance, the storage account here,

I can just drill down into it,

and actually work with it and see my Blob's.

There are other tools for that as well,

like the Azure Storage Explorer,

but when you have this workload enabled you can just

do it from Visual Studio, and that's very cool.

And like I said,

I've already published this application to Azure.

So, here we can see it.

It's Web application with a big number behind it.

And from here, I can do things like actually stop it,

or see the streaming logs,

or attach a debugger,

and just debug the whole thing

from here. That's very cool.

>> So you can do all of that within Visual Studio,

is the intent to keep you out of the Azure portal or

just that you just don't need to go up there

much because you're living in Visual Studio anyway?

>> It's not per say the intent

to not keep you out of that portal,

but just to have everything at your fingertips

in Visual Studio because you are living in there anyways,

you're there anyways so, why leave

and disrupt your productivity.

>> Very cool.

>> So another thing that you also get is

the Local Storage account that

comes with the Azure workload, and you see that here.

This is actually a storage emulated.

It runs locally on my machine.

I can just use that just like I use

Azure's storage that's actually in Azure.

>> Okay. So I could be writing and ask

an application that talks to

Azure storage and I could be doing on an airplane

because I have my own local version of Azure storage.

>> Exactly. And there are lots

more local tools like

the Runtime for Azure functions for instance.

>> Yeah.

>> There are Cosmos DB local emulator,

and more coming like service fabric is already there.

So those things you can use to

do local development on

Azure when you're on a plane for instance.

>> Very cool.

>> So it is very cool. So, like I said,

you can also debug things from here.

So things that are actually running in the Cloud you can

just click "Debug" and

then you attach the debugger to here.

And one very cool feature there,

is that you can attach the Snapshot Debugger.

And what that is,

is that it allows you to debug

something that is actually running in

production without stopping it.

>> I see.

Because if you attached the debugger to

something that everyone stops all threats stop,

we're now debugging, and you

would never want to do that in production.

>> Exactly. Because then your application is passed,

and then your users have

a problem, and you don't want that.

>> So, this application here,

I can now just debugged it in production,

and I actually have the Snapchat debugger

already attached to it.

And that's what you see here. This is

the Snapchat debugger in practice.

And if you look at this code here,

you see that I'm doing a couple of things here

about the action of the controller,

I just have a count that says you

are visitor number count,

and then it just shows that.

>> I see.

>> But when I've done that,

when I've actually hit this about

page, you can see that here.

I can just continue with my application.

>> So the application is still live and in production?

>> Yeah. But I also

have a snapshot that is now collected,

because I've actually hit that thing.

So it's a bit different and a break point.

Snapchat is just, what it sounds like,

a snapshot of the application at

a certain point in time where the breakpoints used to be.

>> Alright. Feels like debugging,

because it is debugging.

You've got your local, you're not in a break point,

you are at snap point, and then at this point

you see across there like

really what's going on in production.

>> Exactly.

>> This is great for those experiences

where I don't know why it works this way,

but it's working differently in

production than it is on my local machine.

>> Exactly. Plus you have

the full debug experience

that you have when you're debugging,

but now with the production app still running,

and this is available only for.Net applications.

So this is very powerful

for.Net developers that are using Azure.

>> Yes, so.Net people Azure is

a natural extension for what they're used to doing.

You've got all these visual studio tools

and then you've got benefits that

other languages and other platforms don't

have like being with you snapshot debugging.

>> Exactly. So, tools like these

and other tools like the function local tools,

Cosmos DB emulator, and

all sorts of other tools in Visual Studio,

are the things we describe

in that free Ebook that you can download it.

>> Maybe you could bring up that URL one more time.

Well check it out.

That was aka.ms/Azurefordotnetdevs

spell that out dotnetdevs.

That's a free eBook.

We can check out and people can follow

you @AzureBarry on Twitter.

>> Exactly.

>> Fantastic. I am learning all about how Azure

makes.Net devs that much better here on Azure Friday.

Why Apply for Harbert Connects? - Duration: 2:05.

I'm Rachel Guthrie, I'm a junior studying finance and I'm a member of Harbert Connects.

I joined the Mentorship Program because I wanted to feel more a

part of the College of Business and be able to take a little bit more out of my

classes. I didn't really know what I wanted to do with my major and so I felt

like maybe having someone who's already in the workforce and had kind of been

through it all before to be able to coach me through the rest of my

education and into finding a job - especially finding an internship - that's

been something that was really difficult. One of the things that was really big

for me was that I didn't have a lot of confidence coming in to this. I wasn't very

confident in the skills that I possessed to find an internship and something [my mentor]

said to me was that, when he and his wife first moved to New York, for the first

year they just said, "yes" to everything - events, invites, friends, whatever. They just

said, "yes" and so that's something I've kind of adopted is saying yes to things

that maybe I wouldn't normally do but it's definitely grown my confidence

and my self-esteem. I've started branching out a lot more than I

would have before. Especially with internships - I actually

applied for a PR internship. It was like, you know, why not? Like the worst

thing they can say is no! He's also been really big on -

I'm from a small town - so getting me outside of that bubble and that comfort

zone and branching out. You know, trying me to go to California or New York for

the summer. I think the Mentorship Program is

important because it's not something I would have thought to join but - having

been in it and getting that advice - it's a little bit different from

something your professor would give you or something that another peer would tell

you. Just having that help from somebody who's in the workforce and has already

been through it for several years, I think that's super important. Even if you

don't feel like you have a lot to get out of it, there's definitely a lot

to learn from someone who's older, who's been through everything before. To find

out more about Harbert Connects, check out Handshake for the application and details.

Chelsea fans RINSE Willian for his hilarious mistake after FA Cup win v Southampton - Duration: 1:58.

Chelsea fans RINSE Willian for his hilarious mistake after FA Cup win v Southampton

The Blues eased to a 2-0 win over the Saints yesterday to progress to the finals, where Manchester United await.

During the day, FA Cup cameras were rolling to capture access into the players' tunnel.

And one particular moment caught fans' attention.

As both sets of players entered the tunnel following the half-time whistle, Willian appeared to get confused and started heading to Southampton's dressing room.

A team-mate can be heard shouting "Willy" before the Brazilian realises his mistake and heads in the right direction.

Chelsea fans were quick to notice the mistake and commented in their hundreds.

"Willian I died hahaha," one wrote.

Another added: "I like how Willian is walking with the wrong team.

" And a third said: "What is Willian doing?" Following Olivier Giroud's stunning goal in the match yesterday, ex-Blues legend Tony Cascarino claimed the Frenchman has been one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The Astrologer I Kept Hidden For So Long [English Subtitles] - Duration: 37:32.

Music

Brief introduction and welcome to Shri Ashutosh Bharadwaj ji.

Sunilji : Hello, how are you? Ashutoshji : Hello, I am good.

Sunilji : Ashutoshji, please tell me when did you start astrology?

Ashutoshji : I have started astrology when I was 11-12 year old. It has almost been 20 years and above.

Sunilji : Nowadays people of the age group 30 to 40 come on You Tube not even having experience of 10 years. By the time we try to reach your 20 years of experience we would take 80 years, almost impossible in this birth.

I know you and our friendship is quite deep. Please tell me, after having given so many years in astrology. You have studied a lot like in Banaras, Bhrighu jyotish and more; tell me how deep it is.

Ashutoshji : See, it is like Astrology is infinite, one cannot complete. We can only take a part of it, and be satisfied that whatever we got is more than enough. If we try to take whole of it, by mastering it. It is not possible.

Because I haven't done astrology in 20 years, I have traveled, went and met people and learnt from them. Who so ever, I came to know about in field astrology. I used to go after them.

Sunilji : You are from Patna. Darbhanga is a very well known and nice place there. Ashutoshji : Yes, correct. Sunilji : With lot of libraries there. Maharaja (King) of Darbhanga was also quite interested in astrology.

Ashutoshji : Yes, there is also a University named after him. Sunilji : You have studied a lot by mapping charts from hands (palm), people have also found it. So did you meet anyone out there of who is very good in making charts from hand palms?

Ashutoshji : There is a place here in Bihar called Rajgir. There was a pundit there, who is no more. He used to take 2 minutes to study hand, and keep a slate near him. He used to write something on the slate and within 2 minutes Lagna kundli (natal chart) used to be ready.

I used to see that to come to lagna(ascendant) of the chart. He used to study little finger(kanishtha) of the hand. Sunilji :What was his name? Ashutoshji :I don't remember his name as this was i met him 20 years ago and I was 12-13 years old at that time.

I had been to him 7-8 times, but he did not teach me anything about it. Sunilji : Nowadays we expect to learn everything in first meet only and if does not happen so, we say that the person does not know astrology. This is about today's generation

Ashutoshji : He was a simply dressed person living a very simple life. There used to be crowd of people to meet him, but he never charged anyone. And he used to only study hand and within 2 minutes he used to be ready with natal chart.

Sunilji : Did you get any idea, how he did it? Ashutoshji : He used to study little finger of both the hands and do some calculation to decide lagna(ascendant) of chart. And then mounts on the palms along with the lines on it to get the position of the planets.

Sunilji : You have met Lekhraji right? Ashutoshji : Yes, I have met him. Sunilji : According to me, he uses sun finger middle partition to get the details. Ashutoshji : Lekhraji uses entire palm.

Ashutoshji : Pundit from Rajgir, used to say that, there are 7 positions on the palm which can help to fix lagna(ascendant). There are 7 ways to find out.

Sunilji : Finally did he share his knowledge with anyone? Ashutoshji : No he did not. Sunilji : This is the only problem, that if knowledge is shared, people try to sell it.

When a person learns from his Guru(teacher) and teacher tell him not to sell this knowledge to anyone. But as I have seen from past 30-40 years, astrology is for fame and money and people can do anything in this. Ashutoshji : That is true.

Sunilji : Okay, tell me you have traveled Banaras a lot, any good astrologer you know. Ashutoshji : I have traveled and met many in Banaras, by calling one as best, I am not underestimating the rest. But the one I liked the best was Indunath Sharma. Sunilji : Yes, we know him.

Ashutoshji : Too good, I have been to him at least 40 to 50 times to learn. When I used to stay in Ranchi went to Banaras and now when I am in Patna, from Patna to Banaras.

Sunilji : How is he? I had heard he was not keeping well. Ashutoshji : Yes, he is fine now.

Sunilji : He has mastery in Horary astrology, if you go to meet him for the first time. He will tell you to think of a number between 20 and 30, then a flower and not to reveal it. He will take a slate do some calculations. Then turn around the slate and show you the number and flower, you did think of. There are many such in Rajasthan. But he is master in Horary charts.

Ashutoshji: Absolutely correct. Sunilji: Tell us some of his horary predictions which you have heard and seen yourself.

Ashutoshji : First of all, I would like to tell by almighty's blessings. I have learnt that method what you were talking about.

Sunilji : Yes, I know, you should not have told that on the video. It's okay, I know you had told me once 4-5 years back that you wanted to learn that method. And I had told you no. As I am not that much interested in astrology.

Sunilji: His theory of horary, or any predictions you have seen, you know the technical knowledge you can share right now.

Ashutoshji : If we talk about Budh Aditya yoga(combination of sun and mercury in the same house), is said to be good in quadrant and trine. Any benefic planet or any yoga(combination of planets) is auspicious in quadrant or trine, as said by many.

He (Indunath Sharma) was the first person to tell me this, when I had met him 10 years back, that Budh Aditya yoga gives good results only in 6/8/12th houses and nowhere else in the chart.

I used many of his technique in many of the charts and I found it correct. If you take K.N.Rao's chart, you will see Budh Aditya yoga in 12th house.

In January 1993, when he started with major period of mercury, at the same time he was chief guest for American Consulate For Vedic Astrology.

(K.N. Rao's Chart displayed on the screen). With mercury in 12th house when it's period started. It took him to foreign country and made him very much famous.

Mercury made him very famous and established him as a learned astrologer. Mercury is placed in 12th house but gave him good results, why? because of Budh Aditya yoga.

Sunilji : You have given an excellent example. In fact this was the period when K. N. Rao has written best of his books. Brilliant books, one of his masterpieces Nehru Dynasty, which people don't read. Every para has a technique.

People don't read much, as he has used only 4-5 charts. Ashutoshji : You will find secrets everywhere in the middle of that book. It is not so simple to read.

If anyone sees his chart, will say he his mercury period will be not good, as it is in 12th house. But as you can see, he had excellent. It is only because of Budh Aditya yoga.

Sunilji : The technique we are talking about. I remember when we were in Banaras, discussing about Kiran Bedi's chart. It also has of same type. I do not have her horoscope right now. Do you remember her horoscope?

Ashutoshji: Budh Aditya yoga is formed in 9th house in her horoscope and during 2015 elections, which she lost it was Sun Mahadasha (major period) for her. The Yoga could not give results even in 9th house .

And in case of K N Rao, it gave results in 12th house. So Budh Aditya yoga gives good results only in 6/8/12th houses. And no where else. It is an excellent combination.

Sunilji : Many people say that I have Budh Aditya yoga in my chart, but it is not seen working. Ashutoshji : You have it in 11th house in your chart. Sunilji: No, I am not talking about me, but common people. Also about Gaj Kesari yoga.

Sunilji : Many people also say that they have Gaj Kesari yoga in their charts, but not giving results. Can you tell us about any secret on this? If you have searched and found out anything about it.

Ashutoshji : Gaj Kesari yog can be fruitful only when Jupiter is in quadrant to moon. Gaj Kesari yoga is quite an elaborative topic which can be very well discussed some other time in a separate video, as it can take half an hour to hour long.

Sunilji : Tell us about Atmaramji. Ashutoshji : Oh he is a wonderful person with brilliant knowledge and lots of secrets with him on Yogini dasha

Have been to him many times. He is master in Yogini and will use only that and not the other ones like Vimshottari or Chara dasha etc.

He used to always tell one thing, which I will mention here. If one gets married during Sankata (Rahu's period as per Yogini Dasha) It cannot take place without physical violence(beating).

Sunilji : In India, during marriages many a times these things do happen. Ashutoshji: He used to say like that. Sunilji: Very nice thing you told us.

Ashutoshji: Like this way he used to tell for each Yogini. He has a different way of looking at it. It was a small thing, which I just told above.

Sunilji : Did he use any different calculations for Yogini or the normal one with 36? Ashutoshji : He uses the normal one with 36, but every time he changes the houses.

Sunilji : Means. Ashutoshji : every 12 years 3 times. He did not teach me, but I sat with him and learnt how he did it. Sunilji : What he used to do, I did not get 12 years 3 times?

Ashutoshji : He took every 12 years into 3 parts. If 12 years taken 3 times means one Yogini has ended 36 years. These 36 years he used to divide into 3 parts into 12 years each. And house used to change in every 12 years.

Sunilji : Which house? Ashutoshji : not sure about this, cannot say confirmed on that. But, I used see him changing every time the houses in 12 years. He will sometimes, take ascendant, 5th or 9th house and the remaining ones.

These people are such scholars, that if you have to learn something from them. It is not so easy. You have to go there, at least 100-200 times sit with them and observe how they do, you will learn it by yourself.

But nowadays there is shortage of time. People usually don't go and meet such people. Sunilji : Everyone want fast food, astrology, it has become You Tube astrology now.

Sunilji : You had spoken to me about Atmaramji, long time back. I don't remember whether it was Atmaramji or.. It was about Jupiter in 8th or 12th house. Was that told by Atmaramji? A different meaning of Jupiter in 8/12th house. Who had told you about that?

Ashutoshji :This was told by Indunath Sharma. If Jupiter is in 8th or 12th house such natives have "Pitri shrap" (ancestral curse). Means either their legacy with not continue or they will not be successful in any task undertaken.

For this Tripindi (religious offering for deceased ancestors in family) can be done, which will pacify Jupiter. And then one gets good results. This is applicable for natives with Jupiter in 6/8/12th houses, which is not a good position for Jupiter.

Sunilji : You had once used the word "Rishi Tulya"(Like a sage) for Jupiter who had told you about that? Atmaramji or whom? Probably you don't remember.

You travel by train, while travelling you meet many astrologers, so tell me did you happen to meet any good astrologer. Ashutoshji : Yes, once it so happened that, I was travelling from Banaras to Ranchi. I had my script in my hand.

It was astrological Sanskrit manuscript and I was just reading it. A sadhu(monk) was sitting on the opposite seat. When he saw a young boy reading a handwritten Sanskrit manuscript.

He came near me and then we were talking. The talks continued further. My ascendant sign was always a doubt in the beginning that is the reason I have met many such people who can tell about ascendant, can make chart from hands, or by face reading.

So when I met him, I came to know he had an exceptional knowledge , just by looking at my face he said about my ascendant and position of rest of the planets. Without taking any of my details of birth date or time.

Too good, I took his address from him. But I have forgotten it. And I could not meet him again. But he was the best amongst all I have met so far not comparable.

Sunilji : Please tell us about Madhubani pundit. What have you learnt from him? Ashutoshji : Pundit from Madhubani was great master of Jaimini astrology. His way of using Gochara (current transit) was beyond anyone's thinking.

How to use Ghati and Hora lagna of Jaimini, you will not find in any of the texts. He used to use all the lagnas mentioned. He used Gochara also very well.

He had a method of using Gochara, which I will share a little here today. Adhipati (lord) of 8th house in D1 chart, where ever placed in D12 in any sign and when Rahu visits that sign, native has to face some bad events in his life.

Sunilji : This is a very rare thing, as so far no one has done any work on Gochara D12. Nobody has even talked about it. I am telling this to the audience as well. Can you give an example on this, for the audience to understand?

Ashutoshji : If you see chart of Amitabh Bachchan. It has Aquarius ascendant. Sunilji : I will just open it. Can you see the chart? (Chart displayed on the screen). Ashutoshji : Yes.

It has Aquarius ascendant so 8th house has Virgo sign. Lord of Virgo, Mercury is in Gemini sign in D12. In the year 1982 in gochara Rahu was in Gemini and during the shooting of the movie Coolie.

Sunilji : It was in July 1982, Rahu was gochara in Gemini. So Rahu has come in 5th house in Natal chart as per Gochara. It was a fatal accident for him.

Sunilji : Very good. Ashutoshji: It can be more clearly explained with Rajiv Gandhi's chart. (Rajiv Gandhi's chart shared on the screen). Sunilji : You can see it. Rajiv Gandhi has Leo ascendant.

Ashutoshji : He has Leo ascendant, so 8th house will have Pisces sign. Lord of it, Jupiter is sitting in Sagittarius sign in D12 chart. When he died Rahu was in Sagittarius.

Suniji : His death, as far as I remember was May 1991. It was 11th or 21st May. My god! Rahu was in the Sagittarius. Ashutoshji : He had many such brilliant techniques. And to tell you the most I learnt was from him and he had shared his knowledge with me wholeheartedly.

Have learnt such things from him that common astrologers would be taken aback. Sunilji : What was the name of Pundit from Madhubani? Ashutoshji : I don't remember his name, everyone used to call him "Guruji", never asked about his name.

Sunilji : What else have you learned from Madhubani Pundit? Ashutoshji : As I had told you about Hora lagna. Sunilji: Yes, what we spoke couple of days before. Ashutoshji : Yes, that was his method only. Sunilji : No software can calculate hora lagna accurately.

Ashutoshji : We want everything to readymade and easily, but that is not possible. We need to certain calculations. Sunilji: That's correct. This is just for viewer about the hora lagna in the available software's.

There are total 5 types of hora lagna and Uppada lagna are also of 5 types. This is was in December 2007, when I was going to Madhura Krishnamurthy Shastriji, we were starting with a magazine.

Mentor told me that, if you are starting with magazine and want Jaimini to be in it. It can be only through Madhura Krishnamurti Shastri, as he has manuscripts. And today's Jaimini astrologers do not have manuscripts.

They do it mentally and not classical. Because people keep on saying K.N. Rao says 7 chara karaka and Sanjay Rath says 8 chara karaka, which one is correct? Forget what is correct, try finding out where in Jaimini commentary it is given as 7 and 8.

They should try to find out that first. And it is given in the starting of Parashara Hora Shastra as some people take it as 7 and some as 8. Ashutoshji : That is correct. Sunilji : People are not aware of this.

People either criticize Rao or Sanjay Rath. They should first read Parashari Hora Shastra and then Jaimini Manuscripts. Anyways, I had gone to meet Madhura Krishnamurthy Shastri in December 2007. He called me to meet him on December 30

This was altogether 4-5 days program. with my new year in a hotel room. I forgot his village name in Hyderabad, when even the flight was cancelled. Ashutoshji : Rajahmundry.

Sunilji : So when I met him, he appears like Lord Ganapathy himself. With bright, fair and handsome face. Ears big like lord Ganpati. That time I asked him only one question. Sir, how many types of Uppada lagnas are there?

He understood that this young boy is trying to master things, because so many people doing Jaimini astrology, do not know that there are various types of Uppada lagnas.

Even if you are doing it for 50 years, forget about the west in America leave them, even in India, astrologers do not know.

So he told me that there are 5. I called my mentor, he asked did you ask my question, I said yes. Mentor asked what did he reply. I said 5, mentor said he knows Jaimini. Mentor said like this only he knows Jaimini.

Anyways talking about hora lagna topic, from which we got slightly deviated. Ashutoshji was telling us that hora lagna has different calculations. And if you combine that with one particular dasha(planetary period) you get excellent results.

And if that dasha does not come in lifetime you cannot get those results. Ashutoshji : I would like to share one thing here that, nothing works wonder like Jaimini. If you know Jaimini sutras, means it has to work.

Sunilji : Our real Jaimini has not yet come out, so we got frustrated and finally left it. And anything special Madhubani Punditji has told you and you viewers can learn something from it.
