AC Joint Pain Exercises for Shoulder Rehab - Duration: 13:28.

if you've got AC joint pain you've got to be doing these three exercises

immediately to finally get your shoulder healthy

yo what's up it's Coach E here

from precision movement and today we are going to go through three exercises to

help you fix up your AC joint pain okay so AC joint is the

acromioclavicular joint and it's right about the top bony part of your shoulder

most people can touch it pretty easily it's the top most pint bony portion

aspect of the shoulder okay it's a little prominence there and it's the

acromion comes out of the scapula kind of wraps around the top of the torso top

of the ribcage and points to the front and then the clavicle is the collarbone

and that joint is where those two bones interface

okay now this joint unlike most joints in the body this is only held together

by ligaments so if you've got an AC joint problem that indicates some type

of ligament sprain or ligament laxity some problem issue with the ligaments

okay the thing with ligaments is they don't heal as quickly as muscles a

muscle strain really minor muscle strain it could be healed up in maybe 3 days

1 to 3 days whereas a really minor ligament sprain can take up to two weeks

up to even or even longer to fully heal ok so when we sprain our ligaments we've

got to be aware of that fact and we've got to progress a little bit slower ok

so AC joint pain is often mistaken for symptoms of shoulder impingement so to

differentiate AC joint pain and shoulder impingement I've got another video with

four tests that you could take to figure out which is which one that you might

have so we'll link to that on this video here so if you're not quite sure click

over to that video check it out and if you do have AC joint pain come on back

and we'll try to fix it up now if you just sprained your ligament

your AC joint and you're working out or you're playing sports you're wrestling

with your buddies I don't know what you're doing but if you just sprained it

it's really important that you let it properly heal at first okay so that

means no movements in the extreme ranges of motion overhead across the body and

behind you okay so shoulder flexion horizontal

adduction and extension respectively okay we want to minimize end range of

motion in those movements because any end range of motion in those movements

can potentially stretch out the ligaments of the AC joints a little bit

more prolonging your healing time okay so keep it neutral we're gonna stay in

front so 90 degrees of shoulder flexion and arms by the side today all right now

if you do suspect you've got a sprained AC joint there's different grades I've

got an article on the precision movement site that breaks down what to do and in

the acute phase if you've gotten it ac joints brain so check that out if you're

in that situation otherwise let's get to the exercises alright so like I said we

want to stay up to 90 degrees of shoulder flexion or arms by the side and

what we're trying to do is we're not doing anything with the ligaments right

now we're trying to actually rest the ligaments so they can heal and do their

things so it's important to get a little bit of movement go in just to facilitate

blood flow and to speed up healing that way but we want what we're trying to do

is improve our motor control and our stability of the scapula and of the

shoulder itself okay because if we're doing movements that is putting the AC

joint at risk because of other weakness poor firing patterns or just

dysfunctional movement then we're never going to be able to heal from AC joint

pain fully okay so we're trying to re-educate the neuromuscular system here

now it's really important to avoid the one movement that is really important to

avoid is downward rotate or anterior tilt of the scapula okay so

when the scapula anteriorly tilts it looks like this the shoulder rolls rolls

this way and that puts a ton of strain on the AC joint and how do I know I

sprained my AC joint last year doing a lot of muscle ups and where that

happened was right in this position when you're transitioning between the dip and

the chin up okay I got overzealous and I just started working them too often

and then I sprained my AC joint there so I understand what it feels like now that

being said that's the movement you want to avoid which is downward rotation so

how do we avoid that movement it's not just about passive flexibility some

might say oh you got a stretch and that's gonna fix all your problems what

it's really about is control okay we've got to build the strength and the

control the patterns to be able to extend the shoulder so a shoulder

extension without anteriorly tilting the scapula okay so what that takes is

stability in through the torso and stability of the scapula in particular

the scapular muscles that keep the scapula glued to the rib cage the most

important one being the serratus anterior so we're trading that muscle to

keep the scapula in position as the shoulder or the arm moves around

wherever it's got to go okay so the exercise that we're going to do today

are gonna help you do exactly that the first exercise I call the shoulder

rotation robot I've got another video tutorial here on YouTube with this

exercise but we'll break it down here looks kind of fun once you get the

details you'll understand why it's so important for you okay so you're gonna

start in this position one arm up one arm down and this is training something

called reciprocal movement where one side of the

body is moving one way and the other side of the body is moving the off

okay and it's very helpful for because that's a very natural movement pattern

that we use in everyday life walking for example that's reciprocal movement okay

so what we're doing here is we get on the wall feet are about a foot away

from the wall or so okay head such the wall good alignment and I want to think

of posteriorly tilting the scapula so pulling the bottom edge of the scapula

down in towards my chest okay so I pull the scapula and that activates the

serratus anterior and I hold that position the whole time as I do the

robot so the robot they busting out the robot at a party you know how it goes

yeah but I'm maintaining that scapular position as I'm rotating or cycling

through the robot now what I'm doing in this position is I'm constantly trying

to drive my hand towards a wall so external rotation here and then same

over here drive the hand towards a wall internal rotation here so I'm strongly

trying to do this hold for five seconds

hold for five seconds the whole time the scapula stays still I'm not losing it

like that okay scapula stays in position

stabilized working the internal and external rotators and that's training

that movement pattern to keep the scapula in position to avoid downward

rotation while we're moving the arms around in this case internal and

external rotation okay so that's the first exercise you can do like five reps five

second hold up and down alright the next one behind the back

external rotation so you need a some kind of resistance band I've got one of

those loop strength bands here okay a red one pretty skinny you don't need

much and what you're going to do in turn you're gonna grab the band behind your

back okay a little bit of tension to start hands are about butt width apart

and first get in alignment good alignment okay scapula are flush against

the ribcage but I'm not hyper extending my spine okay

keeping neutral spine the whole time as I tilt that scapula and from here all

I'm gonna do externally rotate and abduct a little

bit and just hold it for 10 seconds breathe stay in good alignment and

slowly release okay so again you're starting thumbs are facing each other

and then the thumbs would be pointing forward holding for 10 seconds

avoiding hyper extending or hyper retracting the scapula a slight

abduction and external rotation force 10 second holds and we're good okay this

one you want to do anywhere from three to five reps holding for ten seconds and

that's gonna again help to reposition the scapula and help start to get into

this shoulder extended position okay with out downwardly rotating the

shoulders and anteriorly tilting the scapula okay

last exercise you might have seen this one before

the scap push up there's a bunch of different variations and I've got

another video on YouTube with a bunch of variations of scapular push-ups so

progressing you right from very deconditioned and low level up to higher

level and good function okay so check out that video I'm going to link to it

but the scapular push-up I'll show you the basic version here on the floor

four-point position this is one of the regressions okay the important point

with the scapular push-up is to just move the scapula without hyperextending

or flexing the spine so here I'm retracting the scapula and I'm thinking

posterior tilt again so fire up that serratus

anterior I'm able to breathe okay I'm not excessively tense anywhere else

and as I drive through the floor I'm sure that I'm not hyper flexing my spine

okay I want to maintain neutral spine as I push and protract the scapula hold it

keep driving through the floor and then you retract under control now the range

of motion isn't huge here and it's not supposed to be yeah we don't have a ton

of protraction and retraction when we're in neutral and that's totally cool all

we're doing here our main goal is to fire up the serratus and to start to

groove this good movement pattern where we've got neutral spine with strong

stable scapula okay so this one you can do around five reps five to ten second

holds at the top okay and moving under control very slow tempo okay so those

are the three exercises for AC joint pain that's going to help to keep the

shoulders moving and start to re-educate the neuromuscular system for proper

aligned movement because when we're moving in alignment with the proper

activation and movement patterns that's going to set us up for a lifetime of

being able to do things that we love whether it's lifting in the gym playing

sports in a golf ball around whatever it is you love to do these are the keys

that are going to help you keep doing those things

all right so if you'd like to learn more about the shoulders how they're supposed

to function and specifically about the serratus anterior click the link at the

end of this video to watch a little presentation I put together on the

scapula and proper movement of the scapula to set you up for a movement

longevity alright so thanks again my name is Eric Wong from precision

movement make sure you subscribe to this channel to get the latest videos and

I'll next time peace

What is Carbon? A Price Stable Cryptocurrency for Next Generation Payments - Duration: 12:25.

(Upbeat electronic music)

(knocking)

- Hi, I'm Connor.

- I'm Sam, and I have a coffee problem.

- Hi, I'm Miles.

- [All] We are Carbon.

(keys clicking)

(upbeat electronic music)

- I think something that's kind of,

not even up for debate anymore is that

distributive ledger technology is here to stay.

And there's going to have a fundamental impact

on how we design systems going forward.

- Cryptocurrencies, especially in the last two years,

have had a really meteoric rise,

in terms of price, in terms of hype.

Bitcoin has garnered usage globally

as a payment solution, but fundamentally

we still have many things holding us back

from achieving mainstream adoption.

And we think those two things are throughput and volatility.

- Very few, even the better architected systems right now,

are going to have a massive amount of trouble scaling

because throughput is so low.

So throughput is the amount of transactions per second,

or per unit of time, that any of these systems can process.

You really can't replace any economic infrastructure

if you're not processing at a faster, at a high enough rate.

- The volatility aspect stems from the fact that

most cryptocurrencies are a fixed-supply,

meaning that there will only ever be x amount, right?

So in Bitcoin's case, that's 21 million,

and therefore, when there's underlying shifts in demand,

there's underlying shifts in the price of each unit.

And this is why most cryptocurrencies are so volatile.

(upbeat electronic music)

- So stablecoins are a broad category,

and there's a lot of attention going into this space

because it solves a pretty large problem

in the cryptospace.

- There's fundamentally three different ways to

create a stablecoin.

The first is fiat collateralized, which is centralized.

And the famous example here is Tether,

there's also True USD.

And the idea here is that you collateralize

each coin with one US dollar in a bank account.

So it's collateralized by exactly what

it's supposed to be worth.

The second method is crypto-collateralized,

which is decentralized, and MakerDAO is an example of this,

where they use ether as the underlying collateral.

And people basically over collateralize their positions.

- They're collateralized are kind of much higher risk,

but also much higher reward,

because those are the ones that really have potential

of becoming the common denominator.

- The idea here is that you can expand and contract

coin supply based on the demand,

and that should result in stability.

(upbeat electronic music)

- We're building Carbon, a price stable cryptocurrency

powered by Hedera Hashgraph.

- Like any system, crypto will need a common

denominator at some point.

We need something that doesn't change over time

to be beneath every transaction,

be beneath every account, be beneath everything.

So that's what we're hoping to achieve with Carbon.

- With Carbon, what we do is we have a flexible

coin supply, where basically if we need to,

if the demand is higher than the supply,

then we can increase the coin supply.

And then if the demand is lower than the supply,

then we have a mechanism to contract it.

On a high level, there's two tokens,

so you have Carbon stablecoins,

and Carbon credits, and when we need to contract

we auction off Carbon credits, and people

that are willing to burn their stablecoin

receive those Carbon credits, and then when we

need to expand the supply we distribute all

newly minted stablecoins to people that hold Carbon credits.

- What gives us value is distributed demand,

and the way we keep it at a dollar is by adjusting

supply and response to that demand.

So high risk, high reward model.

When you get to scale, economic growth will guarantee,

the assumption of economic growth is fundamental

to everything we do.

If economies weren't going to grow,

the S&P 500 would go down on average.

That's kind of a fundamental assumption that we all share,

and when you get to scale that will drive things forward.

Getting to scale is not guaranteed.

But it's a need that we believe we'll fill,

and we believe we're in the best position to fill it.

'Cause we believe that we have the best solution

in terms of rewarding everyone equitably,

and being intentional and aware of the risks

as we go forward.

- What are some use cases that we can use a stablecoin for?

Well I think the one that people are pretty familiar

is as a cyptocurrency trading pair.

So Tether thus far has provided a very widespread use case

for stablecoin in the cryptotrading market.

And then some of the use cases that we see as

people using Carbon for are for cross-border remittances,

as a alternative to incumbent players such as Paypal,

Braintree and whatnot, where you can dis-intermediate

people who are taking these 3%, 4% fees and then replace

it with Carbon which run on Hedera Hashgraph.

So why the name Carbon?

Well Carbon as an element is a building block of life.

Everything organic in the world is made out of carbon.

Similarly in the cryptocurrency market,

we believe that a robust stablecoin is necessary

for the lifeblood of cryptocurrencies

and the future of cryptocurrencies.

- Hi, I'm Connor.

I'm the co-founder of Carbon.

I went to Columbia University where I studied

humanities and psychology.

Before that I worked at a number of tech companies,

including Noodle, Riley, which did real estate

sales lead qualification, as well as ConsenSys

in Brooklyn which is an ethereum production studio.

- Hi, I'm Sam, or XAD if you're in our telegram.

I was class 2018 at Stanford,

I studied computer science with a concentration in AI.

I was one of the first three employees with Plenty,

which is a hydroponics AI company.

But I started working on development in stablecoins,

with Gavin, one of our other co-founders,

in June while he was at Uber.

- Hi, I'm Miles Albert.

I'm one of the co-founders of Carbon.

I got involved with Hedera Hashgraph last September,

and I was involved in marketing, general evangelism,

while I was still a student at the

University of Southern California.

So I left USC in December,

moved to New York in January to work on Carbon full-time.

It's very interesting how the team came together.

I actually met Gavin through a virtual ethereum

hackathon in 2016.

I posted an idea for a project on the forum

and he actually reached out to me.

The project that we were planning to work on for

the hackathon was actually very similar

to this concept of the stablecoin.

I actually met Connor through a mutual friend,

and shortly after meeting Connor I connected him to Gavin,

and then Gavin introduced us to our other

co-founder Sam.

- And then we all met up in DevCon, and then

there we really bonded and had a great time.

And then at DevCon, that's where

what was then called Prism came to life.

(upbeat electronic music)

- So when designing an auction,

you need to make sure it's fair.

And we thought that Hashgraph's fairness properties

were very appealing to address this problem of

creating a fair distributed auction.

- We believe that Hedera Hashgraph is making the,

has the proper balance of the core philosophy

and core fundamentals that make this space

appealing and useful, but also the willingness

to work with the incumbents, the willingness

to make the sacrifices that have to be made,

to actually have an impact.

Because it's very easy to be an idealist,

and just sit in your corner and say everything's broken

and eventually people are going to come

to view things my way, and everything will be perfect.

But it's much more difficult to be willing to

bear the burden of taking something good and

getting it into the hands of a lot of people.

So we think Hedera Hashgraph is making the right moves

in terms of doing what has to be done to see a

broader rollout of distributive ledger technology

to first the tech sector, then the economy,

and then through the economy into the lives of

every single person.

Distributive ledger technology has the potential

to have the same impact, by just making

marginal improvements in a broad variety of sectors

that add up to something big.

And we believe that Hedera Hashgraph is

both in terms of philosophy as well as technology

are well-positioned to do something similar

across the general economy.

And we're hoping, due to that alignment of vision,

we're hoping to be part of that story.

(upbeat electronic music)

So what's next for Carbon?

There's a lot I can talk about here.

Similar to Hedera Hashgraph, we believe in working

with incumbents, and so we are working aggressively

to roll out the infrastructure, we need to have

as large of an impact as quickly as we can.

- But we think that sustainable demand comes

from integration into real businesses.

So we're focused primarily at the moment of

integration into distributive applications,

it could be building on Hedera Hashgraph,

it could be building on some other platform,

and we have plans for interoperability with other

small contract protocols.

We just closed our seed round of fundraising,

which includes a number of name brand institutional

investors.

And at the moment we're focused on rapidly

expanding a team.

We have about four full-time co-founders and

seven part-time employees.

And we're really focused on growing and

building out the product, and getting integrated into

businesses.

- Hi everyone, it's The Gossip Guy here,

and I just wanna take the time to thank the

Carbon team for sitting down and speaking with me today.

- Thanks for having us.

- So I also understand there's a fourth team member

that wasn't here today?

- Yeah, Gavin, one of our core developers

is traveling right now.

But he was really upset that he couldn't make it,

and hopefully we'll catch him next time.

- Great.

So also too, where do people go if they want to

get further information, or maybe express

some interest in your guys' project?

- Yeah, our website is www.carbon.money.

You can also find our white paper there.

We announce a lot of things on telegram,

we're pretty active with our community members.

We're active on Twitter and hopefully

you tweet us as well.

- I guess before we wrap up too,

this is the Gossip Guy so I ask this of all of

the people that come on the show,

but do you guys have any gossip that you might be able

to share with us before we leave?

- Well, a little bird told me that there's

probably going to be some partnership

announcements pretty soon.

So come express your interest,

we're on Telegram, and we'll keep you in the loop.

- All right, well we'll leave on that note.

So, once again The Gossip Guy and Carbon signing out.

Thanks for watching.

Trooper Talk TV for April 23rd, 2018 season 1, episode 2 - Duration: 8:29.

Hello and welcome to our second installment of Trooper Talk TV. This

channel will be a weekly resource for Garrison North Dakota news, weather,

sports and what interests you, our audience, and our sixth grade classes at Bob

Callies Elementary School. If you have news and events near you that aren't

featured in this week's episode, contact a sixth grader.

Let's begin our second episode for today, April 23rd, 2018.

A few events are coming to our school soon. The elementary music concert is

coming up on May 3rd at 7 p.m. Field day will be May 11. Let's hope we

aren't stuck doing winter olympics or synchronized swimming in puddles. Here's our

lunch for this week. On Monday, it is chicken alfredo and broccoli. On Tuesday,

it is taco salad and refried beans. On Wednesday, it is hot ham and cheese and

mixed veggies. On Thursday, it is chile and cinnamon rolls. On Friday, it is hamburger

on a bun and french fries. At the beginning of the school year we started

a fresh fruit and veggie program. In 2004, the National School Lunch Act was

amended to establish the fresh fruits and vegetable program as a

permanent program. The program started when our principal found and applied for

the grant which is funded by the state. The cost of the program is about ten

thousand dollars a year, but for the students it's free. The principal is

applying for the grant next year so it might continue. She will know if we

have the program for next year before the school year ends. This program does

not go into high school. It's only for pre-k through 6th grade. Our snacks this

week will be: Monday is pears. Tuesday's jicama sticks.

Wednesday's cherry tomato. Thursday is kiwi, and Friday is variety

Friday. This pet rock is trying out for the talent show.

Okay now sit, stay, roll over. I'm sure the kids at Bob Callies Elementary have

more talent than this rock. Please sign up in the office with your first and last

name and what you plan to do for the talent show. Acts are limited to two

minutes. Students may participate in one event. We will try out on Tuesday, April

24th at 2 p.m. in the main office. Families are welcome to attend May 4th

at 1:00 p.m. to watch the show. Please see Mrs. Fuller if you have questions

about the talent show. Sleep Talk. There are many weird things

that happen when you sleep. For example some people only dream in black and

white. Did you know that the average amount of sleep people should get is

eight to nine hours? However, giraffes can only get one hour of

sleep. Can you imagine that? And did you know though you spend over one third

of your life asleep? That's crazy! Sleep also helps with our blood vessels

and reduce risk of heart attack and stroke.

So hit your snooze button people and improve your health. If you like movies,

this week you're in for a treat. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. is Pacific Rim

Uprising. It is about Jake Pentecost the son of Stacker Pentecost who reunites

with Mako Mori to lay a new generation of Jaeger pilots including Rival Lambert

and fifty year old hacker Amari against the threat. I am recommending

this movie to anybody who likes action movies.

Today's weather is partly sunny with a high of 53 degrees and a low in 31

degrees. Tomorrow weather's mostly sunny with a high of 55 and a low of 32. On

Wednesday the high is 60 degrees with the low in 39 degrees. On Thursday the

high jumps to 63 with a low of 43 degrees. Friday's weather hits us with a

high of 63 and a low of 38 degrees. I bet you're excited for spring to come and

winter to go away. In fact, I bet you're so excited you don't even want to bring

your snow pants, boots, hats, and gloves. But you still should. (snap) Actually there is

still ice and snow out there. We can't go almost of the slides because

at the bottom there are puddles of water. Everyone grabbed their swimsuits and

enjoy your time at recess!

The fifth and seventh-grade girls volleyball team is in the middle of

their season. Last Tuesday, we had a triangular which is when three different

schools meet to play each other. So we had some great serves and some great passes

and we had fun even though we lost. We plan to work hard and hopefully have a

win with the next game and the jamboree. The Garrison-Max Troopers fifth and

sixth grade girls volleyball team will play a home triangular in Garrison on

Thursday, April 26, 2018. Come cheer for the blue team. We play at

4:30 at Garrison High School if you can't make it on Thursday there's still a chance

to watch the volleyball team in Center on Saturday.

Boys basketball with Jamison. Hello there and here is your boys basketball

highlights for the week. The 5th and 6th sixth grade boys beat Washburn on April

16th. The fifth graders won by four points. The sixth graders won with the

score of 32-22. We played Max on April 19th. Wait. Wait, wait I got some more

stuff, too. Why did the basketball player sign up for the crafting club? He

wanted to learn how to make baskets. Why are scrambled eggs like losing the

basketball team? Because they've both been beaten.

How do basketball players stay cool during the game? They stand near the fans.

Welcome to Fishin' Time with Justis. Fishermen may have noticed there's still

ice on the lake, and the shore hasn't melted off. This can be good or bad because there's

at least 40 inches of ice on the lake. The bad news is it could be June until the

ice is melted off. It could be good because the females haven't even spawned

yet and that means you could get a good bite. As of March 15th you're not

supposed to have permanent ice houses on the ice anymore. But does that law really

matter if there's more than two feet of ice? In my opinion it should depend on

what the forecast is because a day with 40 degree weather can remove 2 to 3

inches of ice and put water on top of it which makes the ice soft and more

fragile. So whether you need an auger or your boat

good luck on the lake. Thanks for tuning in to episode 2. If you enjoyed what you saw,

but wanted to be featured in our news and sports segment, comment below or

contact a 12 year old in Garrison. Please give us the old thumbs up with the like

button, subscribe, and share with your friends.

GO TROOPERS! And don't forget to smash that like butter! No! It's smash that like button!

Positioning for the Next Recession Do It Now! - Duration: 6:05.

- It's David here from Freedom Founders.

I want to talk to you today about where we are

in the economy and the marketplace.

You know, the economy since the Trump administration

took office almost two years ago, a year and a half ago,

November of 2016, January 1, 2017 into office.

The economy has been on, really, an uphill trend, overall.

Stock market, real estate market, the economy,

unemployment has gone down.

Overall, companies are expanding.

We have the tax reform act at the end of 2017,

which has given more money to profits, which has been

given out, in many cases, to employees.

All that's good.

In fact, the consumer confidence right now

overall is great.

Which means people are buying things today.

They're using credit.

In fact, they're using credit too much.

In many cases we're back to where we were

back pre-2008 financial downturn.

Where consumer credit expansion is going up,

in other words, they're expanding their credit lines

into more debt today.

And that's not so good.

The problem is that there's such a disparity

between the truly affluent, the really wealthy at

the top, and kind of middle America. Which has been,

over the last 15 plus years, has been getting

squeezed, squeezed, squeezed.

The real nominal rate of income, of net income,

over the last 20 years for the average American,

has been going down.

Has been actually going down.

If you utilize inflation factors in place,

it's gone down relative to the overall buying power.

That's not good.

Most Americans have very little actual net worth.

In other words, as long as the economy is running,

"perfectly" in other words, everything is running well.

There's plenty of credit financing,

people are employed, things keep moving forward.

The problem is, we know that doesn't last forever.

In fact, we've been on a long streak, very long.

We're long in the tooth on this one.

And I'm not a doomsdayer, but I'm saying

that we will have a reset of some kind.

How much, exactly when?

No one knows, but when it happens, I do predict

there's enough underlying fragility

in our economic structure with so much debt

this country has. With rising interest rates

which can take away consumer spending, which can

cause the government to suck so much of the private

capital, just to pay the interest on the debt.

So many things that are, one black swan event

anywhere in the global system today,

could be enough to trigger a downturn.

A re-set, a recession that could be very, very devastating.

Especially if you don't have liquidity.

Liquidity meaning you don't have access to cash.

You don't have cash or you have access to cash.

As long as you have access to cash, you've got good credit,

and the banks are lending. Yeah, you can live

to fight another day.

But the problem is - just what's happened in other downturns -

when the credit markets, the financial institutions

have to clamp down because of their lack of liquidity.

When the Federal Reserve and the auditors say you

need more capital, they have to pull back.

They have to cut off lines of credit.

Lines of credit, short term borrowers who rely

on lines of credit, all of a sudden have to scramble

for more liquidity.

And, if everybody is scrambling for the same thing

and the pie is getting smaller; that affects

all the marketplaces.

So, here's my point to you:

I would seriously be looking at your liquidity.

In other words, what's the cash flow margins

in your business right now?

Who are your primary buyers of your products or services?

If it's vastly the middle America that you're

serving and providing, I would be very, very careful.

Because middle America can be squashed in a heartbeat.

Squashed to the point where they're not going to

utilize all but the absolute necessary services.

I would be positioning myself, if I was in a business

or a service today, for more affluent buyers.

Not everybody can do that.

But if you're one of those, who is listening today.

And you are intentional about it, you can do that.

Move to a more affluent market.

Yeah, you've got to make some decisions here.

You can't just keep doing what you've been doing,

and hope for the best.

It's not gonna happen.

As middle America gets squeezed, their ability

to continue to buy things will affect everybody.

Their lack of credit, they get laid off from a job, so

back to part time, lots of things can happen to squash

what right now seems to be a pretty strong economy.

So, position yourself well.

You, yourself, need to have liquidity.

So, look at your debt lines right now.

What do those look like?

Do you have long term, fixed rate debt?

Which is serviceable for you as long as

you're productive and can keep the income coming in?

That's probably okay debt.

Are you using lines of credit, credit cards,

or commercial lines, business lines of credit?

Those are all callable.

Are you using commercial loans?

Those are callable.

In a downturn economy, even if you're making

the payments on time, the banks can call those.

And if you're a good borrower with a good track

record, a good credit score, they come after you first.

Meaning, they come after you and say,

"We're calling your loan.

We need you to refinance.

Pay us off and go get your money somewhere else."

Well, again, if everybody is doing the same thing

and scrambling for access to credit,

you're in a very no-win situation.

So, look at those things hard right now.

Who is your primary customer?

Are you dependent too much on middle America today?

And what is your liquidity look like?

Do you have reserves?

Do you have access to non-institutional credit?

Private capital, which is a big thing we use

in real estate, access to private capital.

If you're not working those areas right now,

you're probably putting yourself into a dangerous position.

On the other hand, if you do position yourself

correctly, when everybody else is running scared

there's blood in the streets, you survive.

You actually will thrive.

It's a decision you've got to make.

And it's not easy to do when everything

seems to be running right.

That's the last, least of our worries, right?

To reposition ourselves, but I promise you,

do it now, you'll thank me later.

Because things will turn.

The cycles will drop down again.

And either you'll be an opportunist who will do very well,

or you'll be a victim.

You decide.

I'll see you next time, remember always stay focused

on your freedom.
