Vidal and James not yet back for Hoffenheim build-up - Duration: 1:29.

A large group took part in today's training session at the Säbener Strasse facility,

although the injured players and South American duo Arturo Vidal and James Rodriguez are still missing.

These two will arrive back in Munich from international

duty later today.

One of those back in training was Sebastian Rudy, who's returned to full fitness

and is naturally looking forward to the prospect of playing against his former club Hoffenheim.

I'm obviously delighted. It's still early in the season but I'm already going back

to my old stomping ground to play against my former teammates.

It remains to be seen whether Rudy actually does get to play,

but the midfielder is a sure bet for the squad against Hoffenheim.

The same goes for Rafinha,

who can even hope for a place in the starting 11 on Saturday evening.

The Brazilian could potentially come in for the injured David Alaba and Juan Bernat

on the left side of defence

– a bonus birthday present, as it were.

The team already serenaded Rafinha to mark the player turning 32

at the start of this morning's training session.

Tips for Being a Successful Mom Boss - Duration: 20:11.

[Music] Hi everyone, welcome to the

Balancing Act.

I'm Olga Villaverde and I'm Amber Milt.

Do you or someone you know

suffer from asthma?

Actually a lot of my children's

friends have asthma but personally we

don't.

It's a big problem in New York.

It is.

It really is especially with the air

quality.

Well today we've got great

advice on how to take action and take

control.

And a story that really resonates with me as a mom of

course of two young dancers, scoliosis.

How an app can make all the difference when

it comes to detection.

I love that with the

technology.

Plus we have tips on buying a

house which you want and changing a tire.

Changing a tire with these great red nails, and

speaking of change at last a temporary

one!

We'll be cooking with Chef Brian

Tyrell today because, yeah because our

beloved Ralph is recovering from a

kitchen accident but we want to let you

know he's doing great and we know he's

going to be back in the studio again

with us soon!

That's right, he's gonna be

there cooking with us and having a great

time!

We miss you, we love you, muah!

See you soon Ralph!

Let's get going The

Balancing Act starts right now.

[Music] If a health and wellness checkup

is on your back-to-school list and we

just did this, Amber don't forget to add

a scoliosis screening so

important.

There's a new spine screen app developed

by Shriners Hospitals For Children

that helps parents detect the signs

and early detection is key especially for

one fourteen-year-old aspiring

ballerina.

And as a mom of two dancers the

story certainly speaks to me, take a

look.

I want to be a principal dancer in the

New York City Ballet.

It's really

competitive to get there but I think I

can do it as long as I work hard.

Kate aspires to be a professional

ballet dancer and for her to have the

fusion-less surgery really allowed her to be

able to pursue her dreams and it just

gave her her life back.

Scoliosis is a curve in the spine that if it's

left untreated can cause breathing

problems, pain, and even disability.

We don't know

what causes scoliosis but we do know

that it runs in families.

So when Kate's sister, Lauren was

detected with scoliosis we knew that we

had to watch Kate even more closely.

I felt more strong on one side and

also I would get tired and because my

lungs were twisted and my ribs were

twisted that I couldn't breathe as well.

So getting this surgery helped me

breathe well and help both sides be even

so that dancing would be easier for me.

[Music] Every six months Doctor SamDani

would see Kate and she got really the best

care possible.

You know without this opportunity her

dance career would have ended, I'm sure.

She was struggling with rib rotation and breathing,

being able to you know fill her lungs and do all

the athletic things that dancers do.

And it really put a damper on what she

was able to actually accomplish.

At Shriners Hospital for Children we can

offer all the different treatment

options that a patient may need for the

treatment of their scoliosis, including

scoliosis specific exercises, physical

therapy, and for some patients surgery

and all of this can be offered under one

roof.

We are able to take care of kids

from all over the world regardless of a

family's ability to pay.

It was awesome, I

had to go back slowly but it was quick.

It was like 20 days and after that, like

a week after I started dancing I started

getting all my flexibility back.

Before the surgery I felt kind of like

slouched and it would be hard to stand up

tall, and now I felt like because in

ballet you have to be one long line and

now I can do that.

I'm not all crooked.

As a clinician, one of the most frustrating

things for me to see is a child to come

to clinic with a really severe curvature

because I know that if that curve was

picked up earlier there would be many

different options available.

Including exercises and bracing, certainly

there are some patients that would

need surgery but there's many others

that we may have been able to avoid

surgery with early detection.

Thus we felt it was really important for

us to develop the spine screen app.

The spine screen app is easy to use

it's free, you can download it onto

your phone, it has a step-by-step video,that

shows parents how to use it.

Basically once the app is downloaded

onto the phone the parent can run the

phone down their child's back twice to

ensure accuracy, if the results are

outside of acceptable then we recommend

followup with the spine specialist.

If the results are fine the app

will actually set up reminders for

you to go ahead and check your child back

again.

We are really encouraging parents

to make this a part of their

back-to-school routine.

It's not taking the place of

doctors offices or the care that they would get but

it's just a starting point and it's

wonderful to be able to share what we've gotten

here with other parents that come to

us and other parents that we seek out.

Doctor SamDani helped my future and

helped me be the best dancer I can

possibly be and helps me be able to follow

my dreams and he is he's our hero.

What a great story!

Absolutely, and for more

information about detecting scoliosis

and the new spine screen app go to

Shriners Hospitals for children dot org

slash scoliosis.

Of course you can always

go to our website the balancing act dot com

We've got lots more, stay with us!

(Music) According to the Centers for

Disease Control approximately 25 million

Americans suffer from asthma and nearly

10 percent of these patients have severe asthma

and yet they may not even realize it.

For these patients severe asthma can

have a profound impact on their

everyday lives from limitations of daily

activities, to simply taking a deep breath.

Joining me today with some new resources

and advice is the President and CEO of

Allergy and Asthma Network Tonya Winders.

Welcome back to the show!

Thank you, thanks for

having me.

Thanks for being here.

Now you know I wanted to define again,

we know what asthma is but we know that there

is severe and difficult to control

asthma.

What's the difference?

So they are

slightly different.

Difficult to control

can be any severity of asthma mild,

moderate, or severe but severe asthma is

not just asthma.

You know a lot of people

think oh it's just asthma, just take your

inhaler.

Not in severe asthma these are

patients who are on very high doses of

two or three meds and yet still having

significant symptoms every day.

They're going to the ER, they're using

oral steroids, they have significant

limitations to their activities of daily

living maybe not even walking up a

flight of stairs.

So this is a much

different type of asthma.

So someone is

diagnosed with severe asthma how can

they be proactive in their health care?

So the key to being proactive is to

have a conversation with your physician and actually

developing what we call an asthma action plan or

an asthma management plan.

This is a

communication tool that actually helps

you to know what type of asthma you have,

to ensure that you've gotten the appropriate diagnostic tests,

and that you're on the right medication

and treatment plan.

Also how you can control

your environment and reduce your exposure to different triggers

for asthma and so it's that kind of

communication plan that's a really

proactive tool to help you manage asthma

more effectively at home.

Which makes you

more aware of the situation where you

can deal with it better and maybe live

for that matter.

Speaking of awareness you have a new

awareness campaign that I think is

fantastic tell me about it.

Yeah so

Allergy and Asthma Network has partnered

with the Chest Foundation to develop an

asthma awareness campaign specifically

around severe asthma because what we

find is that no one wants the label of

severe anything.

And yet when patients are using oral

steroids more than two or three days a

year which is a lot, if they're going to

the ER, the hospital if they're refilling

their Albuterol quick relief inhaler more frequently than

they should.

These are all signs of severe asthma and

so having those awareness tools in place

can really help that patient have a

better dialogue with their provider and

get to the appropriate treatment for

them.

And what tools and resources do you

provide to to empower patients?

So the Chest awareness campaign that

we've partnered on actually has public

relations efforts it also has a new

website asthma take action take control

and there you can find a variety of

different tools.

One is a control

assessment tool which is five or six

questions that actually helps the

patient to determine how well controlled

they truly are.

So they realize maybe

something they don't have.

Exactly because most of the time we think oh I'm just

doing fine right, I adapt,

I just believe this is my life, this is part of my life.

Right but then we also have a severity

assessment tool and the severity assessment tool is five or six

questions to determine exactly how severe

your asthma truly is, not what you

may have been originally diagnosed or

what you may perceive but objectively

what is that level of severity.

And then the

final tool we have is a shared decision-making tool and this is

a tool that really does guide that

discussion between patient and healthcare

professional or provider to determine

which is the best, most appropriate

treatment for you.

And I can only imagine

that for many people who finally use

those tools and resources they have

maybe an aha moment and it makes such a

difference maybe even a life-saving

moment.

It truly does I mean we get to hear from

hundreds and hundreds of patients each

and every year at Allergy and Asthma

Network and one particular severe asthma

patient that I just had a conversation

with over the last month really comes to

mind here.

So she was a grandmother who

quite honestly had late onset asthma in

middle age and it had gotten so severe

that she actually wasn't leaving her

home.

She couldn't work, she couldn't go

to her grandchild soccer games, and she

was living a very limited life because

of asthma.

And now she's gotten to the

appropriate treatment she's more aware

of her condition, she's more educated

she's living life to the fullest, going

to those soccer games enjoying those

grand babies and you know this this is

really why we do what we do at Allergy

and Asthma Network.

Great stuff, thank you so

much for what you do.

I appreciate your

time.

Thank you.

And if you'd like more

information on all the resources we've

discussed today you can visit asthma

dot chestnet dot org or you can go to our

website the balancing act dot com.

Well-controlled patients should be

experiencing symptoms no more than once

a month and should experience no limits

to everyday activities.

Signs that your

asthma may be difficult to control

include, you have asthma symptoms more

than two days a week, your asthma wakes

you up two or more times a month, you

refill your quick relief medication more

than two times a year.

That is some

really great information and here's a

bit more when it comes to buying a new

home.

Olga has our final installment of

mortgage 101!

[Music] We are wrapping up our

mini-series Mortgage 101 sponsored by

Affinity Partnerships with mortgage

experts John Alexander and David Villarreal.

So much great information that you have

provided us.

Thank you so much and I kind of want to

recap if that's okay like a review if

you will.

So when we talk about shopping

for properties what what do you consider

how much home can you afford?

Well I think that's an individual

situation right?

You need to decide what kind of

lifestyle you want.

Certain people want

to have a house on the beach where they

can go watch the ocean and all that

great stuff.

That's me!

Yeah and other

people just want no maintenance right?

They want to downsize, they want to keep

their life simple.

Take a look at your

situation based on that and your income

and what kind of money you have come in you

can decide from that what you can afford.

The key is work with a mortgage professional they will give you

direction and guidance and help you

decide and it's also very important that

they shop.

Shop around for a good lender,

good rates, good you know good qualification somebody who knows

what they're doing.

And speaking of qualification David I

want to review pre-qualification and

pre-approval.

Well pre-approval is

actually the instrument that a mortgage

licensed mortgage professional will give

you that says this is the amount of loan

that you would be capable of attaining

from the lending institution.

And on the pre-qualification side you

actually have an instrument that says that

this is the likelihood of where you will be

in relationship to that loan

amount.

And then there's a need always of

course for tax returns and credit?

Yes you know there's key

documentation that you need for any kind of a loan

right?

So have your w-2s ready, bank

accounts, incomes taxes, for the last two

years you know just be ready to give them

the information.

If you prep guess what?

It'll be easy, it'll be less stress in

your life and trust me it'll go much

quicker.

And David I'm going to leave it

up to you now to give advice for maybe

that person who wants to be that first-time homebuyer.

Well I think that

first time homebuyer has significant

opportunities especially in today's

market the rates are still pretty much

lower than it's been for the last 25

years or so and the opportunity to go

and find in a regional setting a downpayment assistance program,

that's a terrific opportunity for

homebuyers.

And it's been terrific having you

both, a pleasure to have you on the

show.

Thank you so much.

My pleasure, thank you

and if you'd like more information about

Affinity Partnerships you can go to their

And stay with us because we're celebrating national rice month!

I feel like maybe I should throw rice.

Do they

only do that at weddings?

Eh, I don't know.

(Music)

(Music) You know rice is a staple in my

dad's house.

Every day he says the same thing,

comer arroz con la comida.

What?

Huh?

I need rice with my dinner, always!

He loves it.

Oh I agree with that though we have a

lot of rice in my house sushi, arroz,

arroz con pollo I know I love it's really

good!

And rice is really more versatile

than you think!

Hey, you rolled your

R's I'm proud of you!

Time to get cooking

Cajun style with Chef Bryan Tyrell who's

got some delicious ideas on how to use

basmati arroz!

What better way to

celebrate national rice month than to

show you how to make my all-time favorite dish,

jambalaya but with a twist!

Today we're cooking with authentic royal

basmati rice.

It's a long grain, versatile rice

that's aromatic and fluffy.

Now to get

started already I've done some onions,

peppers, and some celery in here, what we

call our Holy Trinity!

To that we're

gonna add garlic, some little bit of salt,

and pepper, some worcestershire sauce,

some hot sauce, bay leaves, and thyme and

then also some crushed Tomatoes.

And then to that we're gonna add some

chicken stock and our Royal basmati

rice.

You know authentic Royal basmati rice is

versatile and it cooks up perfectly

every time.

Rice can be prepared according to the

package and normally if you're going

to do this you put like two cups of water

in with one cup of rice and you boil that

off for about 20 minutes.

I like the basmati rice because it's so

versatile and it gives such an aroma that

other rices aren't able to do.

You know not all rice is created equal,

only rice grown in the foothills of the

Himalayas can be called true basmati rice.

Everybody thinks rice is rice but this

is easy, it's tasty, and it's a real good

alternative to regular white rice.

But while this is cooking off I want

to talk about some other versatile

things that you can do with rice over here.

We've made an incredible cobb salad

with a nice bacon on there, the

crumbled bleu cheese,

the ham, the egg, the tomatoes.

Absolutely wonderful.

And just to show that rice

isn't just for main courses you can also

use it for desserts.

We've used jasmine

rice here to make these incredible rice

balls.

Now through the magic of television we're going to add

some chicken to that, some nice

shrimp, and some andouille sausage would

give this a nice twist.

Okay after we've added the

shrimp and the sausage and the chicken

to this we're gonna let it go for

another ten or fifteen minutes just to

make sure it gets cooked fine.

Let me try some of this we made earlier.

Mmmm, that is so good.

rice and other products Royal has

to offer go to authentic royal dot com or

Alright that looks so good Brian!

Mhmmmm.

Save some for all of us.

In the meantime, here's Jenny

Isenman with a girls guide to changing a

tire.

News we can all use!

[Music] We're strong, we're independent

so of course we should all know how to

change a tire right?

Okay no worries.

I'm Jenny Isenman with the girl's guide

on tire changing 101.

Be prepared.

You need a jack, a tire iron, and

yes a spare tire, flashlight and a mat, I

used yoga mat, and some gloves in your

trunk.

They'll make the whole process a lot

easier and you'll be a chic tire changing

chick.

Let's face it ladies, who wants

to ruin our manicure?

Be safe if you

think you have a flat tire, find a secure

spot to pull over and turn your hazard

lights on, if you have a safety cone add

as well.

Now you're ready to change your

tire.

First use the tire iron to loosen

the lug nuts or your car may have a

special adapter.

Next locate the pinch

flange, the pinch flange is a little

notch that the jack fits into and it's

the strongest part of the car- for being

able to lift it safely.

Most cars have a

notch that fits the factory jack.

If you're unsure where it is

consult your owners manual.

Position the jack and

raise the vehicle by turning the jack

handle clockwise.

You want enough height

to not only remove the flat tire but

also be able to install the spare, but

not too high girls.

Now you're ready to

remove the tire and put on the spare.

Finger tighten the lugs, then lower the

car by turning the jack handle counterclockwise.

Once the car is down

you can tighten the lugs clockwise in a

crisscross pattern.

Your owners manual

will show you how.

You did it!

Your spare is now installed!

Take off those gloves

pat yourself on the back and don't delay

in getting a new tire.

Take the digital

tire journey at Sears Auto dot com and find

out what tire is right for you.

You can buy your tires on Sears dot com

or schedule an appointment to meet with one

of the Sears Auto Center tire experts.

For more information go to Sears Auto dot

com or The balancing act dot com.

Vote Kathryn Rehner for House District 102 on September 12th - Duration: 2:53.

One of the things I love about Hattiesburg and I love about this district is that it's

such a diverse community.

Hattiesburg is lucky to have many different health systems, and one of which is in House District 102

is Forrest General and Hattiesburg Clinic.

When I finished grad school I had the privilege of working as a project coordinator.

We enrolled and helped three thousand people gain access to health insurance.

We have community members and students come to our office looking for information about

health care and health services, and how to access health insurance.

So I've been working in healthcare and health access for the past three years, trying to

help people obtain coverage, use coverage, or get care they need.

And I have to tell more people than not that they don't qualify for health care and that

they can't get help. They can't go to the doctor. They can't have that procedure they

need to get back to work.

It doesn't have to be that way.

I literally grew up on campus.

We had picnics by Kennard Washington and real cute Brady Bunch stuff, you know.

My favorite thing about Southern Miss is that it is the most diverse, inclusive university,

I believe, in the state out of our three major academic institutions, Southern provides opportunities

for non-traditional students, for international students, for minority students in ways that

other universities just don't.

I choose to do this because I don't think that I could do anything different.

It's a part of who I am.

I feel blessed to get to do something every day that I believe in and that I feel like has a purpose

and value for other people and not just for myself.

Please remember to vote for me, Kathryn Rehner, on September 12th.

Diego Costa NOT on his way back to Chelsea for showdown talks as exiled striker is spotted in Brazilian hometown

DIEGO COSTA has NOT returned to Chelsea and is still in Brazil as his summer exile continues, it can be revealed.

The Spanish striker has not returned to the Blues Cobham training ground, and has not been back to London since last season.

He had not been seen in nearly two-weeks, and was thought to be returning as Antonio Conte tries to heal the rift between the pair.

But the Brazil-born ace has been pictured driving in his hometown of Lagarto, going into the FOURTH month of his summer break away.

The 28-year-old was spotted in his Mercedes SUV, on the same day Blus chiefs moved his luxury Range Rover from the first-team car park at Cobham.

It was then dumped into the youth team area, as the row between club and player continues with another bitter twist.

Costa is furious with the way Chelsea handled the transfer window, as he was desperate to join former club Atletico Madrid in a £49m deal.

He has already been AWOL for the first month of this season, with Conte no longer considering him in his plans for the campaign ahead.

Reports had suggested he was to come back to London to face the wrath of Chelsea bosses after the turbulant last few months.

A source said: Costa is still in his hometown, and its his fourth month away on his summer break. He isnt on his way back yet.

Its the first time he has been seen since August when he was spotted playing football with friends. He looked very relaxed.

Diego Costa trains in Chelsea shorts after blasting the club for their treatment. He is a legend in the town. He is generous both in time and money with the area and its people.

He was seen stopping his car on the way into his garage to talk to local kids as it absolutely poured down with rain. He is very friendly..

Costa has been linked with a shock loan switch to Besiktas with Turkish transfer window still open for another day.
