God is not a means to get to a reward that is somehow greater than God we

don't have a relationship with God so that we can get saved so that we can get

a hold of something else other than God that is somehow greater than God what

could be greater than God and so if you are using Jesus or using spirituality or

using faith or using God in order to get something else as though that's the

great reward you've got it backwards God is not your way to get money

prosperity relational success he's not your personal life coach just to make

things better for you the greatest reward that you could have is the

relationship with God that you're having it gets no better than that if you don't

see the delight in that really if you turn to your spouse one day and say I'm

so glad I married you because I've always looked forward to a family and

you're my way to get one we have pastors standing by for marital therapy they are

ready for you after the service if you say that if you just saw getting married

as this is my route to get something else that's not love that's not a love

relationship the great reward is the relationship

itself and then there's other blessings that come out of it that's beautiful and

so God is recalibrating Abraham and saying don't just have your eyes fixed

on the promise itself and miss the person behind the promise I'm your very

great reward

we've got to be unselfish.  And people are not willing to let

go of their own self-interests.  I think there would be peace.

My wife and I will be married 45 years this year. 

And in the beginning -- because love is redemptive. 

It's sacrificial.  And it's unconditional. So when we got married

45 years ago, we had a list of the things that we loved about

each other.  Right?  And that's wonderful. But after a while,

we discovered that if you have reasons to love someone,

you have conditions.  And when the conditions are not met,

the relationship is in trouble.     OPRAH:  Oh, that's good. 

  PASTOR BERNARD:  So today, we love each other for no reason.

That's unconditional love. It takes courage to love like that. 

It takes selflessness to love like that. And until we get to that

place in society, we're going to continue to have

the conflicts we have. 

  OPRAH:  Oh, that's one of the best definitions I've heard.

We love each other for no reason, and that's unconditional love. 

  PASTOR BERNARD:  Unconditional love.

There's no perfect formula, but there are a few, potential tip-offs that your vehicle might

be a total loss: Like a deployed air bag.

Stupid expensive to replace.

Or LOTS of fluids on the ground after an accident.

I said "lots" of fluids.

Not always totaled, but … not a good sign.

Or if you can't drive it away from an accident because it's bent that badly.

Ouch.

And then there's hail damage.

What a shame.

Totally drivable ... totally totaled.

It also depends on the condition of your car, which affects its cash value …

… which brings us to … THE FORMULA

The "FORMULA" most insurance companies use is cost of repair plus salvage value …

… compared to the actual cash value of the vehicle.

It's called the total loss formula.

Duh.

In some states, the car is totaled if the two numbers are a hundred percent equal.

Other states may pronounce a car totaled if repair plus salvage equals only 50 percent

of the cash value.

Yikes.
