Good morning!

I had such a good night's sleep.

The time flies very fast here.

I had two training sessions yesterday, and also the day before yesterday.

The race starts tomorrow and I'm gonna have a day.

The schedule for today won't be very busy, it's gonna be an easy day.

This hotel is not located directly in Ivrea,

but it's very nice one.

It takes us about 30 minutes to get to the course.

The driving is not so bad. It's about the same distance as from Bratislava to Čunovo.

The breakfast was nice.

Now I'm going to check where is my paddling gear.

If there are no balconies at the hotel, it's always a problem to find a place for drying our paddling gear.

We usually hang out the wet suff on the hotel staircase,

but sometimes during the night the hotel staff removes it and we have to look for it in the morning.

Yesterday I hanged out my gear here on the staircase and in the evening I found it up there on the rooftop.

Great! Everything is here.

This time we're lucky to have a terrace at the hotel.

Now it's time to head to the course. Some training should still be underway.

The course construction and the demo run is scheduled for the afternoon.

The last official trainings are running right now.

Ivrea got a World Cup race for the second time and the local people are very proud to have such a venue

and to host such a big international event.

And also we - athletes - are very happy to come here, to this beautiful place under the mountains.

We are back to the course after the lunch break

The course for the heats is set and the demo runs just finished.

It seems there are no extremely difficult sections on the course,

but I think that this steep bottom part with many rolls will be crucial.

For a good result one needs keep the boat running across this bottom section.

We are gonna make the plan for the rest of the day.

I'll be on the course tomorrow 15:04.

Virgil Van Dijk: Liverpool yet to make formal bid for Southampton star - journalist

That's according to journalist Kevin Palmer, with Anfield chiefs facing a race against time to deliver the Southampton centre-back to Jurgen Klopp.

Van Dijk emerged as the man Liverpool wanted to bolster their backline towards the end of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.

And a move to Merseyside appeared to be a formality until they were accused of tapping the Holland international up in June.

That situation forced Liverpool to take a backseat - although Van Dijk remains top of Klopp's shopping list ahead of tonight's transfer deadline. It seems Liverpool may be about to leave it to the very last minute to secure the 26-year-old's services.

Taking to Twitter, Palmer has revealed Liverpool have not made an offer for Van Dijk despite their intense interest.

He wrote: Still no formal Liverpool bid for Virgil van Dijk.after the relentless hype, it can only be assumed they will at least try tomorrow #LFC..

Aside from Liverpool, Van Dijk has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City this summer. And on Tuesday night pundit Jim Beglin suggested the Holland international could join one of them instead of Klopp's side.

Referring to Van Dijk, a fan said to him: He is Liverpool's. And Beglin replied: Not yet.
