Resisting arrest is basically where you're being detained, police officers say are trying

to arrest you, and you're resisting that arrest.

And it can actually be something as simple as straightening out your arm and keeping

your arm lock as they're trying to, it doesn't necessarily mean struggling or fighting or

anything like that.

It can be something, like I said, just as simple as straightening an arm or twisting,

keeping yourself from being put in a police car.

Those can all be considered resisting arrest, and the big issue with that is that at certain

times you can even, on a resisting arrest, be charged with assaulting a public servant

or assaulting a police officer.

And so that's where you have to be careful with these cases, you got to make sure that

you're not indicted.

Because once you're indicted you're in a felony court, so you, the resisting arrest will be

a misdemeanor if it goes further and you're assaulting a public servant because maybe

you swung around and you hit them.

That's the problem that you're gonna have.

Is Violating a Protective Order a Criminal Offense? - Duration: 1:18.

We do defend against protective orders and the reason being is if there's not one needed

we don't want there to be, because it can be restrictive in certain areas in certain

times.

It's usually going to be, being a certain distance away from a person, maybe their place

of business, or the place that they work, and phone calls now.

Typically it doesn't list all phone calls but for threatening or harassing phone calls,

and that's just to protect the person who is listed as, you know, the complaining witness

or I guess a petitioner in a protective order.

Violation of any protective order, of course it is civil, is a criminal offense and you

could go to jail for that.

You violated your protective order you definitely want to hire a lawyer, here's why; in so many

of these cases what the issue is, is the person's already scared of you.

And a lot of times you're already out on bond or something of that nature, and so it can

be a violation of bond and a violation of protective order, which means you end up in

jail and there may not even be a bond set on this case.

And so that could be a big issue.

The Sun Is Going to Die, This Is What Happens Next - Duration: 1:51.

The Sun is the most important star in our galaxy, and at some point, it's going to

die.

When that happens, it'll turn into a red giant, getting so big it'll swallow Mars,

Mercury, and quite possibly vaporize our own planet.

Don't panic yet, we've got a billion years to prepare before the big red comes.

Stars have a life cycle just like us: they are born, they live, and then they die.During

their lives, stars need to have a strong core, one that can fuse hydrogen into helium to

make nuclear fusion.

Stars will work their cores for billions of years.

But eventually, they'll run out of hydrogen for their fusion process.

When that happens, the star can't hold up against gravity and its core will start to

collapse.

The core will get smaller and denser, while its outer shell expands and cools, giving

a distinctive red hue.

The combination of "cooling" and "expanding" is where the name red giant comes from.

Red giants are YUGE, reaching sizes of 100 million to 1 billion kilometers in diameter,

or 62 million to 621 million miles.

That's nearly 1,000 times the size of the sun.

So when our sun turns into a red giant, life as we know it will cease to exist.

But there is an upside to this.

When stars morph into red giants, they change their habitable zone.

The habitable zone is a region with the right conditions for life.

So as the Sun gets larger and redder, it's warmth will extend to the outer reaches of

our solar system.

Making it possible for life to begin on a whole new planet.
