Hi this is Phil from Make Tech Easier and welcome to five of the best brain

training apps for Android. Experts are always reminding us of the importance of

keeping our minds in shape. You can try puzzles or other types of games to keep

your mind sharp, you may even have tried an app or two to see if it helps. There

are a lot of memory apps out there for different types of brain training

exercises but which ones are actually worth trying? Here are some apps that

will keep your mind sharp and in shape. Neuronation - Focus and Brain Training.

Neuronation will help keep your mind in shape. After completing a brief

questionnaire as to what you want to improve a personalized brain training

session is created. You can improve skills such as your memory, concentration,

intelligence and logic and even reduce stress. The app features eight

personalized sessions, 29 exercises and is always adding new ones in its updates.

The exercises it has are either basically or highly effective. By

registering you can save your progress and compete with other users around the

world. Neuronation also shows you on a graph

what your strengths and weaknesses are and all the cognitive functions your

working out. You can also read science articles that talk about how cognitive

training helps you throughout your lifespan, for example. Skillz - Logical

Brain. Unlike the first-step skills allows you

to either use the app in single or multiplayer mode. To play multiplayer

you'll need to sign into your Google+ account. Skillz will then find

someone that matches your score, which leads to game time. The multiplayer mode allows

you to play with a minimum of two and a maximum of four players. If you're number

one in multiplayer mode you get a total of five brains as your prize. After you

complete a round you'll get a certain amount of brains. You can save those

brains to later retry in the current round, pass a level with five starts or

pass a round. Like any brain training up this one also helps you improve your

reflexes, memory, accuracy, speed, color coordination and touch ability. Peak.

Peak's goal is to improve your language skills, mental agility, focus, memory and

so on. The visuals in peak are better than in the previous apps and it also

has exercises to help you with your emotions as well. For example, there's a

game where it has you focusing on happy faces and matching them. You'll need to do

this while ignoring the sad faces, thus helping you concentrate on the positive

things. The app also shows you a visual display of how well you did in the

exercises. You'll automatically see what you're good at and you can choose

between 25 games that regularly update. Peak also has a virtual coach that shows

you how to play the games and you can also use the app offline as well.

Brain Wars. Brain Wars offers quite a few options when it comes to challenging

others when you brain train. Besides providing a great design it also gives

you the option to compete with others around you, around the world or in a

particular country. You can play games such as Operations, Flick Master,

Simplicity, Touch the Number, Follow The Leader, Bird-Watching, high or low Addition

Link, Reflection, Tap the Color and more! These games will help you improve your

focus, observation, concentration, reactions and math geometrical skills as

well. Brain Wars also shows you an image of

what parts of your brain you're working out with the games you've played. The app

doesn't require you to create an account since you can play as a guest and not

give any personal information, but you can create a profile if you want to. Brain

Dots. With Brain Dots you only have one mission; to draw a line

that will result in the two colored dots touching. It seems simple enough but as

you progress the solution to the level gets more complicated. If you want a hint to

know how to pass the level, tap on the light bulb icon at the top right. While

you start by using a pencil, you can level up to drawing tools such a pen or

even a crayon. You will need to use the coins you've won after each level to buy

the pen or whatever it is you want to use. More levels will be unlocked as you

progress and you'll have to deal with a few ads here and there. Conclusion. A

great way you can keep your mind in shape is by playing one or more of the

apps listed above with time you may even have improved (what you didn't even

Expectations for Saints have changed thanks to masterful management, coaching

Expectations in sports are tricky. If a team does not meet them (see this season's Giants and Raiders in the NFL), it is considered an underachieving failure.

When a team exceeds expectations, everyone loves it as the toast of the town. That's what the Saints were when coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees first hit the Crescent City in 2006. Its what they are this year, too, entering Week 9 after five straight wins.

New Orleans is the surprise leader of the tough NFC South, a division that includes the last two NFC Super Bowl teams, the Falcons and Panthers, who despite their winning records in 2017 are still chasing the 5-2 Saints.

The Saints became the darlings of the football world in 2009, when they energized a hurricane-ravaged city post-Katrina and became an NFL power on their way to a Super Bowl title. Brees was then and still is the igniter for the Saints.

But these days, everyone talks about how great Tom Brady is playing for the Patriots at age 40, while Brees flies more under the radar while also defying Father Time at age 38.

The early MVP talk this season is centered more around the Eagles Carson Wentz and Brady than Brees, who leads the NFL with a 70.6 percent completion rate while ranking sixth in quarterback rating (101.7) with 11 touchdown passes and four interceptions.

Like Brady, Brees keeps himself in great shape, and he has missed only one start in his 12 years in New Orleans.

Brees, a 10-time Pro Bowler, is the same player he has always been. Yet coach Sean Payton has made the offense more diversified with an excellent rushing attack to support the quarterback.

The Saints' passing game remains one of the league leaders (ranked fourth), and the run game has averaged 142 yards per game during the current winning streak.

Payton and Saints general manager Mickey Loomis wisely sent malcontent Adrian Peterson to the Cardinals last month, which cleared the deck for an excellent pair of backs in Mark Ingram and rookie third-rounder Alvin Kamara.

Both can run and catch, as they have 707 rushing yards, 61 receptions and seven touchdowns between them so far this season. A fine offensive line leads the way for the backs and does a great job protecting Brees (only seven sacks allowed).

The most stunning change in New Orleans is the emergence of a big-play defense for a team that has struggled on that side of the ball over the past three seasons, all of which ended 7-9 and without a playoff berth.

The Saints' defense was outstanding in its Week 3 upset of the Panthers, as then-winless New Orleans intercepted Cam Newton three times and forced him to lose a fumble in a 34-13 road win over then-unbeaten Carolina.

In the 52-38 Week 6 win over the Lions, the Saints' defense scored three touchdowns and forced five turnovers. It has 11 takeaways in the past five games, and it pitched a shutout in an Oct. 1 win over the Dolphins in London.

Loomis, Payton and the player personnel staff have done a masterful job bringing the Saints back to playoff contention.

Theyve worked the draft to acquire star defenders in Pro Bowl defensive end Cam Jordan (5.5 sacks) and a trio of productive safeties in leading tackler Kenny Vaccaro, Vonn Bell and rookie Marcus Williams.

They also found an elite shutdown corner in this years first-rounder Marshon Lattimore, who is off to a great start in his career.

Michael Thomas, a second-round pick in 2016, is the teams leading receiver with 42 catches for 480 yards and two touchdowns. Ingram and Kamara are talents acquired through the draft, too.

The Saints' football brain trust also has done a great job finding free agents to fill in gaps and upgrade the overall talent level.

The rebuilding of the defense was aided by the signings of defensive end Alex Okafor and linebackers A.J. Klein and Manti Teo.

On offense, key free agent additions include well-traveled but still-speedy wide receiver Ted Ginn, tight end Coby Fleener and guard Larry Warford.

Don't forget about the best free agent signing in the history of the franchise: Brees, on whom Loomis and Payton took a chance when the former Chargers quarterback was coming off major shoulder surgery.

Now hes on a path to the Hall of Fame and showing no signs of slowing down.

Give the coaching staff lot of credit, too. Payton and his longtime offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael have tweaked the offense to become more balanced.

Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen kept his players from getting too down after they were torched by the Vikings Sam Bradford and Brady in the opening two losses.

Allen has done a great job of bringing a lot of new players together in a short time frame, to the point that the Saints are playing the best defense theyve played in years.

New Orleans doesnt have an easy path to the playoffs. The Saints have road tests upcoming against two other upstart teams in the Rams and Bills.

A tough December schedule includes the rematch with the Panthers followed by a short week in which the Saints travel to Atlanta for a Thursday night game.

Theres a good chance their Christmas Eve rematch with the Falcons in New Orleans will be for the division title.

One thing about expectations is they can change within a season.

Saints fans now believe their well-balanced team has returned to playoff and Super Bowl contender status led by the same coach-quarterback combo that took them to the promised land eight years ago.

Theyre now hoping the Saints' three-year playoff drought will end this season.

Kim Jong-un may be ready to launch a nuclear-tipped missile into the Pacific Ocean – making good on threats he promised should be taken "literally'.

It has emerged today North Korea's mountain test range Punggye-ri suffered a collapse after the detonation of Kim's H-bomb. At least 200 workers are reported to have died in the tunnel cave-in amid fears the whole mountain could collapse.

This latest set back could force Kim's hand into a detonate over the Pacific. War fears have reached new highs this year as the US demand North Korea end their quest for nuclear ICBMs.

"The foreign minister is very well aware of the intentions of our supreme leader, so I think you should take his words literally" North Korean diplomat Reportedly the collapse occurred on September 10, just seven days after Kim exploded his last nuke at the site.

It also came just a week and a half before North Korean diplomats first raised the possibility of the "Juche Bird". Kims foreign minister Ri Yong-ho revealed the nation's plans after a fiery confrontation with US President Donald Trump at the UN.

The "Juche Bird" would be the ultimate provocation of the West and would be an unprecedented step by North Korea. It would fly from the nation's eastern coast – hurtling over Japan – before flying out into the central Pacific.

Exploding over the ocean, it would the first blast of its kind in nearly 30 years. Kim may try to mirror what his old ally China did to prove its nuke to might to the US.

Beijing detonated a missile mounted warhead over the Pacific in 1966.

With his nuclear site risking total collapse after a decade of use, Kim's hand may be forced into an above ground detonation. The Juche Bird launch if mishandled has very real potential to spark World War 3.

US General James Mattis has said Washington will never accept a fully nuclear-armed North Korea.

Tensions have escalated once again despite North Korea not launching a missile since September 15. Trump is due to fly into the Asia-Pacific next week for talks with Japan, South Korea and China.

North Korea will be topping the agenda as the US continues to flood warships and bombers into the Pacific.

We need to talk about a very powerful topic today. The Opioid Addiction.

Last I heard is killing 91 Americans every day with millions more

being needlessly addicted to these horrible drugs—all of them! I don't even need to name names here...

Any opioid drug is highly addictive and highly unnecessary. There's a

technique in applied kinesiology (which we talked about several times here, applied

kinesiology) how it uses all the different disciplines: acupuncture,

today which is about one tenth of what an applied kinesiologist will do for you...

There's a specific applied kinesiology technique using acupuncture where the

doctor will discern which one of the 365 points approximately in your body is

most active regarding you and your pain. He or she will then tap that point for

about two minutes, often tapping a point on the spine that

corresponds with it... This is how we bring in chiropractic and acupuncture together,

along with muscle testing... After two minutes of tapping your pain will be

diminished greatly if not totally gone. Your doctor (he or she) will then show you

how to tap the point at home... Your body is the greatest pharmacy in the world

and Candace Pert when she discovered (a brilliant scientist who discovered the

endorphin) she named it endorphin to stand for endogenous internal, endogenous

morphine, opioid... You make your own opioids. We can release that with you by

using applied kinesiology techniques. So it's such a better way if you get your

applied kinesiologists; have this technique done; this specific acupuncture...

you can tap it yourself and release your own endorphins, which block pain going

into the brain and endorphins are protein-based (they're based on protein) so as long as

you're eating a protein or getting enough protein with whey protein (high

quality whey protein concentrate) or just make sure you're eating enough protein

this technique will do wonders for your pain—whatever it is, whatever the cause was...

Shingles or low back pain, sometimes headaches...it will do wonders if you can

just get your applied kinesiologist (and we have some great ones listed here on
