So with the stories for Journey to the Tree of Sorrows, there's a bunch of different layers
here. And so, there is of course, H.P. Lovecraft's original
stories and then there is the art that David has created
that's inspired by all of those stories and then him
taking that one step further and creating his
own interpretation of that and its own layer on top of that that has become
the Journey to the Tree of Sorrows artwork. - I try to stay as true
to Lovecraft's written word as possible. What I want
to do is take what Lovecraft himself
did and the descriptions and the stories and things of those
natures and draw almost exclusively from
those things. What I am trying to do is go back to
what Lovecraft wrote and really ponder it, really contemplate
it. And think about, okay, well, what was
he describing, and then apply my own thoughts
to those and display those
descriptions, stories, and ideas in a unique way.
And so, when I sit down to write a story,
then I consider all of those different layers, that, okay we are looking at Lovecraft
but then Journey to the Tree of Sorrows is something that David had developed
and thought of, and so, you know, I am also looking at that through the lens
of the art work that he provides, because there have been a lot of different
interpretations of all of Lovecraft's stuff by a bunch of different
artists, but David has a very unique style, he's got a very unique
take on all of this, and of course it comes from a place of great
passion and so when you see the art that he's developed
for this, I want to be sure that I do
the art justice in the stories.

Giants Bench Eli Manning, Opting for Geno Smith as Quarterback - Duration: 1:45.
For the first time in 13 years, Eli Manning will not start for the Giants. Manning, one of just 12 quarterbacks to win two or more Super Bowls, has been benched in the middle of an underwhelming season and will be replaced by Geno Smith.
It is looking like an ignominious end for Manning, who has started every Giants game since Nov. 21, 2004, a streak of 210 consecutive regular-season games that ranks second on the quarterback career list to Brett Favre's 297.
Manning is not expected to play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, with the team choosing to focus on Smith and Davis Webb, whom the Giants took with the 87th pick in this year's draft.
"Geno will start this week," Coach Ben McAdoo said in an article on the Giants' website. "Over the last five games, we will take a look at Geno, and we will also give Davis an opportunity."
While Smith wore out his welcome quickly as a member of the Jets, both on and off the field, his promotion will nevertheless make the Giants the 32nd and final N.F.L. team to start a black player at quarterback, 49 years after Marlin Briscoe became the first, with the Denver Broncos. Smith will also be the first quarterback to start for both the Jets and Giants.
The Giants, who fell to 2-9 with a loss to the Redskins on Thanksgiving, have struggled on many fronts, but Manning was particularly ineffective in what could be his final start for the team, completing 13 of 27 passes for 113 yards and an interception
This has not been Manning's worst season statistically, but at 36 years old, with his days of being able to will his team into contention seemingly behind him, the Giants felt it was time to look at other options.
"This is not a statement about anything other than we are 2-9, and we have to do what is best for the organization moving forward, and that means evaluating every position," Jerry Reese, the Giants' general manager, said in a statement. "I told Eli this morning that an organization could not ask for any more in a franchise quarterback. He has been that and more."
Manning's demotion shocked players around the league, with current and former teammates posting messages of support on social media.
"Surprised is not the word," Tom Coughlin, who coached Manning in both of his Super Bowl wins, said in a radio interview. "My sentiments are totally with Eli Manning. I love the kid. He is a class act. He is a two-time Super Bowl champ. He is the finest, most humblest young man in that locker room. I haven't followed the Giants. I know it's a disappointing year but my thoughts are strictly with Eli. I'm very upset about when I heard that."
In a nod to Manning's status with the team and his long string of starts, the Giants gave Manning the opportunity to continue starting (before ceding to Smith or Webb) to maintain his streak, but he declined.
"Coach McAdoo told me I could continue to start while Geno and Davis are given an opportunity to play," Manning told reporters. "My feeling is that if you are going to play the other guys, play them. Starting just to keep the streak going and knowing you won't finish the game and have a chance to win it is pointless to me, and it tarnishes the streak."
The same support did not surface for Manning, despite his rare status as a two-time Super Bowl winner. Of the other 11 quarterbacks to have two or more Super Bowl wins, seven are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, two are locks to eventually be inducted (Tom Brady and Peyton Manning), one is very likely to be inducted (Ben Roethlisberger) and one is eligible but has thus far not been elected (Jim Plunkett).
Smith told Manning that he supports him and has his respect. "This guy has done a tremendous job in this league," Smith said. "He has done a bunch of things for this organization and none of that can ever be taken away or forgotten. This is a business and it's tough. My number is up so it is my time to go out there and do what I am supposed to do and make sure I get the job done."
"I have said it many times, I want to play, I want to compete, I want to be out there for my teammates to help them prepare to win," Manning said. "I understand that there are tough decisions that have to be made in the best interest of the organization, especially as a season like this winds down. that he is marrying an American actress, thirty-six-year-old Meghan Markle. To most Americans, it�s no
big deal, but to Barack Obama who is trying to retain power and control, an invitation
would be an enormous deal.
So Barack trolls Harry on Twitter, tweeting, �Michelle and I are delighted to congratulate
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their engagement. We wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness
together.� That turned into the liberal loser media going berserk, speculating that
the Obamas would score an invitation. The tweet has almost one million �likes.�Yahoo
News reported, �Obama�s sweet tweet to the happy couple immediately took off, with
Twitter users asking him to �come back� and exclamations of �we miss you!� but
also with many saying they couldn�t wait to see the stylish Obamas �pull up to this
wedding.�
Well, that�s not going to happen. How do we know? When Prince William got married in
2012, the Obamas were in the White House. You would think they would be included on
the list, but the Queen snubbed them. �The Queen personally invited 40 heads of state,
who received the gold-embossed invitations over the weekend to the April 29 [2011] wedding
of the future king. The Obamas, however, were not among them,� reported the Daily Mail.
Now, the liberal media has amnesia with numerous reports saying it will be the Obamas invited
and not the Trumps. Trying to salvage Michelle and Barack�s reputation, the media is saying
that �the Obamas didn�t attend the 2011 wedding of Harry�s big brother William,
reportedly because of security costs for the then-first couple to attend,� reported the
Independent.
That�s plain malarkey. Presidents attend weddings and go overseas all the time. The
Queen wasn�t a fan of Michelle Obama at all. The royal family didn�t exactly give
Michelle the red carpet treatment � as a matter of fact, they totally ignored her and
gave her a sit-down with Prince Harry. He is a member of the royal family, but he�s
not exactly the Queen of England; he�s not even the future King of England.
According to the July 6 edition of GLOBE Magazine, not only did Queen Elizabeth snub Michelle
Obama but she ditched the former President�s wife so that she could go to the horse races.
Then, Michelle got �handsy� with the Queen, an absolute �no-no� when it comes to the
monarch. As the first lady, Michelle should have known the protocol, the Queen does not
get �hugs� nor did she appreciate Michelle pushing her toward a chair.It sounds silly,
and it is, but what is fascinating is Barack�s trolling Harry and the media, from the Washington
Post to Newsweek issuing articles saying Trump will be snubbed and the Obamas will be invited.
If Trump is invited, some say it is because Markle is an American.
Markle is a dimwitted Hollywood leftist actress, who called Trump a �misogynist� while
she was on Larry Wilmore�s show. From an article back in 2016, the Mirror reported,
�The actress also branded the Republican nominee as �misogynistic� as she tore
into him during an interview on the Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. Protocol dictates
that members of the British Royal family must remain politically impartial.�
