New Report Emerges About Melania, Now Donald Trump is Getting Involved.
By Kailey Guillemin.
The relatively quiet first lady Melania Trump was once again brought into the spotlight
after Vanity Fair ran a story that portrayed her as having no desire to be the first lady
of the United States whatsoever.
Vanity Fair quoted a family friend source saying Melania, the most enigmatic First
Lady, wasnt prepared for President Donald Trump to become president.
This isnt something she wanted and it isnt something [Donald Trump] ever thought
hed win, the unnamed source claimed.
She didnt want this come hell or high water.
I dont think she thought it was going to happen.
However, President Donald Trump stepped in Tuesday to defend his wife, Tweeting his own
thoughts on the matter.
Melania, our great and very hard working First Lady, who truly loves what she is doing,
always thought that if you run, you will win. She would tell everyone that, no
doubt, he will win. I also felt I would win (or I would not have run) and Country
is doing great!
As both Trump and Roger Stone an early adviser to the president pointed out,
Melania was Trumps final push to run for president.
She was very clearly the one who said, Either run or dont run, Stone
told Vanity Fair.
Paraphrasing Melania, he continued to say Your friends are tired of the striptease.
Every four years you talk about it.
According to Stephanie Grisham, spokeswoman for Melania, the Vanity Fair piece is filled
with false assertions by unnamed sources.
As a magazine tailored to women it is shameful that they continue to write salacious and
false stories meant to demean Mrs. Trump, rather than focus on her positive work as
First Lady and as a supportive wife and mother, Grisham said in a statement.
Grisham continued to say that Melania is honored by her role, and has stated that fact on
the record many times before.
And if pictures and videos posted on Melanias Twitter account give any indication, the supportive
first lady seems to be enjoying her time.
The media has also previously criticized Melania since Trumps campaign for president, due
to her previous work as a model.
Since becoming First Lady, she has faced backlash on her fashion choices when visiting storm-ridden
communities, as well as being more reserved in her role than her predecessors.
Back in 2000, while being interviewed by The New York Times, Melania admitted that, should
Donald Trump become president, shed be a very traditional first lady.
