:0168: Open Garden for Wellspring Charity. - Duration: 6:18.

It is 28th of November today. It is a cold morning. I'm going to update you

about all the plants, I am preparing for 1st of July next year for our open

garden day which will be in the aid of a local charity called : wellspring : The

charity wellspring in Stockpot, they help

all the needy people. These are some of those plants which include some roses,

apples, plums.

They have been covered with the leaves which will insulate them to prevent them

from very severe winter.

On 1st of July 2018,

you will be welcome to see my garden and all those trees I have, which include

apples, pears, plums, cherries, figs, roses and all sort of other plants which I

have grafted with so many different varieties, like that apple tree in the

distance, you can still see some apples hanging at the top, and that apple tree

has 50 different varieties of apples on one tree. There are some pear trees. They

have 4, 5, some of them have 8 or 10 different varieties grafted onto them.

You can clearly see the difference in the fruit, the color of the fruit, the

size, taste, ripening times. They are all different varieties which are different

from each other. I also have some of the plants cuttings inside my greenhouse, the

cuttings of roses, figs and some soft fruit,

and at the top, those are our apples. We bought the root stock from a nursery

and they have been grafted with different varieties. Some have three

varieties, four, five and some apples trees have up to six varieties grafted

onto them and all those varieties they have different fruit, different ripening

time, some fruits will be ready to be eaten very early around August and some

of the varieties will be ready around Christmas time in December, January so we

have kept in mind their ripening time so most of the trees,

you can extend the fruiting period up to four, five, six months. All these trees

will be available for sale to boost the takings. All the money will go to wellspring charity in Stockpot. You are most welcome to visit and see all those

trees on 1st of July next year. I will keep you informed about all those

activities related with the open garden on my you tube channel. You can share it

with your friends and family members.

Searching for company profiles (incl. SWOT analysis) in Business Source Premier - Duration: 1:51.

Hi, this video will show you how to find the MarketLine company profile and SWOT analysis

in the Business Source Premier database.

MarketLine is a business information publisher that produces in-depth reports on companies,

industries, and countries.

These reports are available in full text as part of the Business Source Premier database

that the Library subscribes to.

Click on Company Profiles on the top menu bar, enter the company name.

If you can't find a profile or not sure what the full company name is, try changing

from the default alphabetical search to match any words.

Profiles are available for most but not all public companies and select large private

companies.

A typical MarketLine report covers business description, history, competitors, and company

view (which is just the letter to shareholders in the annual report of a public company).

Many but not all reports also include a value-added SWOT analysis section that gives you not just

basic facts, but also expert analysis that you can reference when you are constructing

your own SWOT analysis.

If all you need is just the SWOT section, and particularly if you want to compare reports

for the past few years, you can simply do a keyword search.

Type in company name then swot and you will get a list of reports if available.

As always, pay attention to the publication date to make sure it's current enough, esp.

If you are using it to find a company's current problems.

MarketLine company profiles are also available in the Investext database so if your company

doesn't have a profile in Business Source Premier, check out Investext instead.

Hey, I'm Suzanne Tobias with the Wichita Eagle. - And I'm librarian Sara here at the

Wichita Public Library. - I'm librarian Racine.

- And Suzanne, I think

you have a really interesting reading challenge to tell us about today.

- Yes, for the new year we are gonna do a Wichita Eagle #ReadICT reading challenge: 12

books in 12 months.

- And you can track your progress all through this on

Wichita Public Library's web page: wichitalibrary.org. But right now, the categories

are a secret.

- Yes, we will tell you the categories on December 31st. That's New

Year's Eve, so either check the Wichita Eagle that day or Kansas.com. We're

gonna give you all those categories then and then you can start thinking about

the books you read for the new year.

- And as an added bonus, join us each month

during the challenge for our online book club, ICTBC, which we do on Facebook and

we will be following along with the challenge in each of the books that we

choose over the course of the year will fit in with one of the categories.

So how else can people join this challenge?

We also have a Facebook group going on

where you can go online it's Wichita Eagle #ReadICT challenge. You

just ask to join the group and that's where we will sort of talk about the

books we're reading, the books were thinking of reading, how we're doing on

the challenge, just kind of cross them off as we go. So it's just a place really

for people to come online for local readers to talk about books and that's

always fun.
