Sead Kolasinac hailed as the "perfect signing" for Arsenal

Former Schalke teammate Timo Hildebrand has declared that Sead Kolasinac is the perfect defensive signing for Arsenal.  Arsenal made Kolasinac, 24, their first signing of the summer when the Bosnia and Herzegovina international joined on a free transfer.

A highly-rated player, Kolasinac was voted into the Bundesliga Team of the Season in the left-back berth based on the previous campaign. Speaking to Sky Sports, Hildebrand praised Kolasinac for his physical strength and described the Bosnian full-back as a fighter.

  Hildebrand said: He is so strong that nobody can stop him He is really strong and also a fighter. He had those qualities even when he was a young player coming through the ranks at Schalke.

He is a very good player and I think he is going to do well in the Premier League. He is the perfect signing for Arsenal. Kolasinac was Arsenals first signing of the season.

Schalkes former sporting directer, Gerhard Zuber, later echoed Hildebrands comments, telling Sky: I know him very well. Sead was one of the players that I knew from when we were at VfB Stuttgart.

We drafted him from the Under-17 team at VfB Stuttgart and took him to the Under-19 team at Schalke 04.

I loved him because we always thought he had the spirit and all the skills required to be successful in the left-back position. Is Kolasinac really the perfect signing for Arsenal? With Arsenals first choice left-back, Nacho Monreal, now on the wrong side of 30, it is understandable why Arsenal may be looking to the future with the signing of Kolasinac.

At 24 years old, he has both time and youth on his side compared to both Monreal and Kieran Gibbs.

Not only did Kolasinac register a better defence score than his Arsenal colleagues last season, while he also registered more goals and assists, suggesting his creativity is also superior to Arsenals current stock.

This may have been a considerable factor in Wengers reasoning when signing the Bosnian international. Towards the end of last season, Wenger preferred to deploy a 3-4-3 so Kolansinac could be utilised as a wing-back to assure more goals.

Finally, in recent years, pundits have often branded Arsenal as being soft or weak; see Roy Keanes verbal onslaught on Arsenal toward the end of the 2015-16 season.

If Kolasinac is the fighter Hildebrand describes him as, he might be just what Arsenal need in the dressing room to assert a warrior mentality throughout the squad.

In your opinion, what is the impact

of this programme?

This programme has definitely a huge impact

Before this, we don't have much knowledge

about food waste that can actually be turned into

compost

Usually, we only collect dry leaves

and just leave them as they are to become compost

But now, we know that the dry leaves and

food waste can be mixed together to become compost

So now the students, teachers, and parents

can get the exposure and learn this process

What do you hope for

from this composting programme?

We hope that

we could transform the school

into a zero waste school

So now, not only we are able to practice recycling

for solid waste such as plastic,

bottle or can, but we can also

gain benefit from processing food waste in the kitchen

into compost

How do you feel after joining this programme?

This is my first time joining such programme

In my opinion, this programme is beneficial

as it exposes us to the hands-on experience

with food waste composting process

that we have never experienced before

Now, we can do it on our own

and practice this activity at home

Other than that, what else the benefit

that you can get from this programme?

Well, Dr. Lee told us just now that

we can reduce food waste produced at home

and process it to become compost

he said that the students and parents

can learn and further enhance

their knowledge of food waste composting

This programme has a lot of benefits

For example,

food waste produced in the community can be reduced

Furthermore, it provides us a good platform

for teaching students about

the importance of taking care of the environment

since childhood

In conclusion,

to conduct this programme in a larger scale,

Mr. Pan Wee Keong thinks that

this programme should be further publicized

and implemented in a larger group of communities

Based on the interview,

the students can learn

and fully practice food waste composting activity

This activity can help to reduce

food waste produced in a community

and eventually become zero waste society

After performing the demonstration of

food waste composting,

the students are happy

and will encourage more people

the students of SJK(C) Pulai hope that

this project will be continuously organized in the future
