Marouane Fellaini wears flip flops as squad head out to Oslo for pre-season tour

MANCHESTER UNITED stars continue their gruelling pre-season by jetting out to Norway. The Red Devils only returned from their US tour on Thursday after friendlies against Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Marouane Fellaini wears flip flops to travel to cloudy Oslo today.

Romelu Lukaku and close pal Paul Pogba look tired as they walk through Manchester airport. Now, Jose Mourinho leads his squad through the airport as they prepare to fly out to Oslo.

United play Norways Valerenga today and Serie A side Sampdoria in Dublin on Wednesday to conclude their pre-season fixtures.

Marouane Fellaini, who has reportedly agreed terms to join Galatasaray, has chosen to wear flip flops for the trip – despite the Norwegian capital being just 19 degrees and cloudy today.

Manchester United captain Michael Carrick makes his way into the airport alongside Daley Blind and Phil Jones. Romelu Lukaku walks alongside close pal Paul Pogba, who helped convince him to join Old Trafford this summer in a £75million deal.

Club captain Michael Carrick, utility man Daley Blind and centre-back Phil Jones look relaxed on their way into the airport. As do Spanish midfielders Ander Herrera and Juan Mata, both in complete United tracksuits.

Mourinho himself looks slightly anxious as he is accompanied by security on his way into Manchester airport. The United boss may be worried he is losing out on top transfer targets this summer.

It could be back to the drawing board for Manchester United with Ivan Perisic looking unlikely to join this summer. A move for Inter Milans Ivan Perisic looks more unlikely by the day.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti yesterday said: There was something you already know about at the beginning of the window [but] there was no follow-up and so, for me, the topic is over.

I will strongly oppose the sale of Perisic if an offer comes. It could be back to the drawing board for Mourinho, with just two weeks until the new Premier League campaign starts.

Man Utd EXCLUSIVE: Jose Mourinho closing in on £48m deal for Ivan Perisic - Duration: 2:29.

Man Utd EXCLUSIVE: Jose Mourinho closing in on £48m deal for Ivan Perisic

Man Utd EXCLUSIVE: Jose Mourinho closing in on £48m deal for Ivan Perisic MANCHESTER UNITED are closing in on the signing Jose Mourinho regards as key to a title challenge – Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

And the Daily Star Sunday can reveal United's rivals for the Premier League crown are hoping the Old Trafford manager does not get his man.

That is how highly rated Perisic, 28, is and Mourinho is urging United's transfer-fixer, Ed Woodward, to clinch a £48million deal.

Talks are continuing between the clubs and also at agent level – and United believe progress is being made, despite Inter boss Luciano Spalletti insisting yesterday that the "conversation is over" when it comes to any deal.

United were again linked with Real Madrid's Wales hero, Gareth Bale, last week.

But Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, described the idea of the former Spurs star leaving Madrid for Manchester as "ridiculous and stupid. " And the winger Mourinho wants is not Bale, 28, but Perisic.

Manchester United are confident of sealing a deal for Ivan Perisic.

Jose Mourinho believes Ivan Perisic will be key to their title challenge. A well-placed source at one of United's top-six rivals said: "Perisic would be a make-the-difference signing for United.

"He's a top, top player and if United get him – added to what they have already got – they will take some stopping this season and could well win the league.".
