Rudiger: I waited years for Chelsea transfer

The Germany international is looking forward to testing himself in the Premier League having long held the ambition of turning out in England.

Antonio Rudiger is delighted to be in the Premier League after waiting "years" for interest from Chelsea to deliver a big-money transfer.

The Germany international has been snapped up by the Blues in a £34 million deal after many windows of being linked with a move.

Having burst onto the scene at Stuttgart and enhanced his reputation in Italy with Roma, the classy defender has often been targeted by leading sides in the English top flight.

Chelsea were often among those said to be keen, and Rudiger is looking forward to rewarding that show of faith after joining Antonio Conte's ranks.

He told reporters while with the Blues in Singapore on International Champions Cup duty: "I wanted to play in the Premier League and it is now years that my name was linked to Chelsea.

"Now I am here and I am very happy. I want to thank all of the people who made this come true.".

Rudiger is aware that he faces a different kind of challenge in England to that he has previously overcome in Germany and Italy.

The 24-year-old is relishing the tests which lie ahead and is excited to be opening a new chapter in his career, having helped his country to Confederations Cup success over the summer.

He added: "I cannot say much about the Premier League because I did not experience it yet. "But the Italian league is more tactical.

You don't have open games but here in England it is different, both teams are attacking the whole time so that is the main big difference, and of course the physical aspect in England.

"I think the whole league is a big challenge so I need to be prepared for each game. Rudiger has been drafted in by Conte to bolster a defensive unit which performed admirably during a Premier League title triumph in 2016-17.

David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta formed a reliable three-man back line last season, but they now face added competition for places.

Chelsea also needed to bring in further cover after seeing long-serving club captain John Terry leave the club at the end of his contract.

Hi everybody Susan Friesen here with eVision Media bringing you today's video

eTip and I'm on location with the fabulous Yvonne. Hello everybody. And we

are here at the WOW conference - Women of Worth and Yvonne has a booth set up

today and I just wanted to quickly snab Yvonne before things got really busy

because she has an incredible story to tell about time management. Yvonne tell

everybody all the stuff that you do all the different hats that you wear I'm curious.

Thank You Susan well I get tired thinking of them all but that

doesn't work so what I have done is about 20 years ago I opened

the store called Malory's Fashion Network in Cloverdale so I've had that store for

20 years have had the most fun building that business being in the fashion retail

business which is ever-changing so you have to be able to adapt that's very

important. So about 15 years ago I designed a custom fitted bra line so I

have the Tab Custom Bras which we design, manufacture and distribute across

Canada and US and then about seven years ago we were able to launch this amazing

health athletic smart technology far infrared infused shapewear that we're here

with and that has been an amazing product that we built over the last

seven years throughout Canada and in the US as well. So yes when I say all that I go

oh geez but what really I guess when people ask me how do you do it, they

don't say how do you do all that? I tell you I don't do it alone.

That's number one. I don't do it alone. I have an amazing family business

I have two sons of the business and a husband. I have amazing support staff

that have been with me for years and that is a testimony to that

they have been such strong team players with me. So it's not about me it's about getting

a good team and then being able to delegate. I know all of us who run

businesses is tough to delegate because we think it's not going to get done the

way I want it done but I've learned to pass the baton, give it a lot of autonomy,

and accept the path whatever it is and it always comes back in a very

good way. I learned so much from others and I let them show me some of

their tricks of the trade and so that's been one of my biggest things and then

we're here at the sparkling Hills Resort I really believe I've learned it the

hard way I have burnt out a few times. I've learned balance is so important so

this is so wonderful that we come here we can restore a bit and I wouldn't take

time for myself I wanted to say I'm checking out for a few days and

I'll come back and I've learned to say "no" I know we hear this over and over but

it's so hard to say no but I've learned to say no. I've learned to step back, worked

things through what's most important at the time and attend to those things

and then go on. So many words of wisdom in that, incredible and I can so relate

to you that's exactly how how I have run my business as well and and one

of my key things is to hire my weaknesses so the people that are

on my team offset my weaknesses and then as a whole we have built a fabulous team

and so while I'm here this weekend my team is busy doing their thing and we

launched a website while I was driving up here. That's fabulous, that's the way it works.

And so without a team, without that ability to delegate and giving them the

autonomy they need in order to do their job then you know you're you're stuck in

that control mode and you're not doing anybody any service. Absolutely

So true. I know we think we maybe can be super women and do it all

but you realize that's not how it's meant to be. And as I know for me a

tough one was to get over the fact that somebody can't do it as good as I can. I

think that's a tough one, isn't it? That's that control issue so I

think it's all of us learning to let go and trust. Once

you get that ability to do it even a little bit it's amazing the

freedom you feel. And accept whatever outcome happens. Great.

Sometimes I'm often really surprised, oh well that's not how I would have done it

but oh my God that's so much better. I've got so much from those

that I've allowed in and to give them freedom to work, it's been great.

Planning for baby number three? Kate Middleton and Prince William 'want at least three kids close - Duration: 1:44.

Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly planning on expanding their family as they

want their children to grow up close in age.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed Prince George in July 2013 and Princess Charlotte

in May 2015 and according to friends, they'd like to add another to their brood sooner

rather than later.

In a profile by Vanity Fair, sources told the publication, �They want at least three

kids and for them to be close in age.�

The couple are based in their country estate Amner Hall and travel to their apartment at

Kensington Palace for overnight stays and royal business in London, but intend on living

there until they are called up to duty.

"It�s no secret that William doesn�t like the media intrusion into his life, and in

the country he can escape,� a family friend told the mag.

�The Queen and the Prince of Wales have given their blessing for William to live this

life, and William is very grateful.

It�s enabling him and Kate to raise their family in a way that�s as close to ordinary

as they can get.� �William doesn�t want George and Charlotte

going through some of the experiences he went through growing up.

Everything he does regarding his family is very deliberate.� Little George recently

enrolled at Westacre Montessori nursery in Norfolk, where he goes three days a week,

indicating they are planning a longer stay in the countryside.
