PINCH!

What is that face?

pinch pinch pinch

pinch and a punch for the first of the month!

*sigh*

It's just my culture

flick!

ow!

and a kick for being so quick!

Just respecting YOUR culture

okay

Thank you for respecting my Australian culture

of a pinch and a punch

I'm gentleman, I'm a very gentle person

I respect your culture

by kicking me? Thank you

because it's your culture!

I mean... you know

But does Korea have something in their culture where it's the first of the month and they do something to somebody?

Is there?

if anyone knows about that kind of thing let me know

if anyone knows Korean culture better

I don't really remember if we have something like that

Something Koreans do do is the flick in the forehead

in games and that type of thing

yeah in games, it's punishment

when I first started hanging out with Koreans, even before I met you

and I saw how brutal Koreans are in games

there's gotta be punishment

should have punishment, if there is no punishment

it's boring game

see... no

so people will flick so hard

what's the other one with the hands and that

people do it really hard

this is not good

sorry I just did a really bad sign in Korean

I apologise, I didn't mean it like that

I was getting the sauce out of the thing

oh no. People know what you are talking about

we won't say what that means

but there is something else with flicking and hands right?

like on someone's hand

ah this one

or this one you mean

yeah yeah yeah yeah

it's another punishment

and you do it really hard

really really really hard

so if you want to play game with me

if there is another punishment like this, you need to watch out

I have no mercy

I mean..

game is game

maybe people think I'm a terrible person

you are a terrible person

So I think my pinch and a punch for the first of the month is quite cute

compared to the Korean abusive flicks in the forehead

and then the whack whack whack

it's pretty cute. you can do it cute way

no, if anyone has experienced that, they know what it's really like

Learn English - Weekly Tip 25 for Russian Speakers - enough hard or hard enough? (with subtitles) - Duration: 2:59.

Hello everyone, and welcome to 'One English Tip in One Minute for Russian Speakers'

where each week I talk about one common Englilsh mistake made by Russian speakers

as they learn English...

this is video number 25.

I say it all the time, but I truly mean it: Good for you for learning to

speak English. It's a very smart thing to do, and a cool thing to do, and a very

practical thing to do in today's world. In these videos I show you a slide,

and on the slide there are two sentences: One is the correct way that a native

English speaker says something, and the other is the wrong way that many Russian

speakers who are learning English say something. Your task is to decide

which one is correct. Read through the sentences, think about the right answer,

pause the video if you have to and I will discuss the answer in the slide

that follows this slide.

If you got this wrong - or you got it right simply by taking a wild guess -- you're not

alone. A lot of Russian speakers make this mistake. The reason is, is you're

taking the Russian language and kind of applying it to the English language and

making mistakes that way. This is called interference. It's very common.

What you have to do is, you have to start studying this structure. I've

started you off on that process by giving you three sentences. You should

study these sentences in their entirety, you should drill them into your brain and

you should put into practice what you've learned through speaking or writing or

both. You should follow up on this, and continue to study, and eventually

you'll get past this mistake.

Just a few quick things. First, if you liked the video I hope you'll click

on the thumbs up below. Second, as these videos come out like clockwork at

the same time every week, I hope you'll subscribe to my channel. Third, I have an

online course called '50 Common English Mistakes' and that costs the equivalent of

20 years...but for viewers of these videos it costs 10, so you get a half off

discount. So I hope you'll think about that. Fourth, I'm continuously developing

my website, so please go check that out. Finally, my Twitter feed is

@epicenglishtips so I give English tips in Twitter form. Please follow me on

Twitter. All the information is in the description box below. That's it.

Thank you for watching and see you next week.
