Waching daily Apr 28 2017

Hello Friends!

Welcome to Fit Tuber.

Today, we will talk about some healthy snack options that you can easily take along to

your office, school, college or whenever you are travelling.

Now, you are already familiar with these foods.

But it is all about combining them in the right way so that your snack becomes balanced

and your body feels satiated.

Take apple for an example.

If you eat one apple that might not be enough to suppress your hunger.

Now, if you eat two apples that would actually be an overdose of carbohydrates.

Now, combining this apple with peanut butter or roasted peanuts will actually make you

satiated very easily.

Psychologically and scientifically, when we combine two or more foods our body feels more

satiated.

All the snack options that we are going to discuss today are on the same lines.

Moreover, these foods are cheap and easily available in the Indian market throughout

the year.

Now, these snack options are for one and all.

It doesn't matter if you workout or not, you are a man or woman, young or old.

It is for everybody.

Most importantly, these snack options will help you stay away from the unhealthy food

outside.

Now, in India no snack is complete without a chai or Indian tea.

And I promise, you can include Indian tea or green tea with any of the snack options

that we are going to discuss today.

Just make sure that you keep sugar to minimum.

If possible, use natural sweeteners like stevia.

So without any further delay, let's get started.

First is Makhane, also known as Phool Makhane or Lotus seeds.

Now my mother is head over heels in love with makhane.

She takes them to her workplace everyday and she tell me Vivek these are so filling, so

crunchy that it feels like having popcorn.

Now lotus seeds are very healthy.

They are low in calories and rich in minerals.

They are also high in fibre and have some amount of protein as well.

They are super low in sodium.

So it becomes a great snacking option for somebody who is suffering from high blood

pressure.

You can just roast them in a kadhai with a pinch of salt or microwave them for a few

minutes.

Trust me, you will love them.

In my opinion, makhane are satiating in itself but if you want you can have one handful of

unsalted roasted peanuts along with them.

Next is my all time favourite, bhuna chana or roasted chickpeas.

Now, they are also extremely filling and very tasty.

Roasted chickpeas are a great source of complex carbohydrates and also have some amount of

protein.

Even after consuming 2 large handfuls of roasted chickpeas, you will hardly get 15 grams of

carbohydrates but your stomach will be full.

So you can combine them with one handful of unsalted roasted peanuts to get healthy fats

and some amount of protein.

Next option is fruits and nuts.

Now, you can use any fruit apple, banana, orange or whatever seasonal fruits that are

available around you.

And combine them with one handful of nuts like badam, cashews, walnuts, peanuts etc.

Now you are getting carbohydrates from fruits and healthy fats and protein from the nuts.

All in all it becomes a well balanced, filling and nutritious snack option.

This takes me to my next snack option which is banana peanut butter roti.

Now take one whole wheat roti and apply one tablespoon of peanut butter on it.

Add one banana to it and you can just roll it and have it.

it is a very tasty, filling and nutritious snack option.

Next is carrots and cucumbers.

Now only carrots and cucumbers may not be enough to fill your tummy.

So you can actually add two handfuls of roasted chickpeas and one handful of unsalted roasted

peanuts along with it.

Now you are getting vitamins and minerals from carrots and cucumbers, carbohydrates

and some amount of protein from chickpeas and healthy fats and again some amount of

protein from peanuts.

This is how you combine the foods to make your snack filling and balanced.

Next is again one of my favourites, boiled chana chaat.

Now, it is very easy to prepare it.

All you need to do is, boil the chana.

Add onion, tomato, cucumbers and season it with salt, pepper, tomato ketchup and lemon.

Just mix it well and it is ready to go.

You need not boil chana everyday.

You can boil it in bulk and store in refrigerator for 7 days.

There can be a lot of variations to this chaat.

Instead of using black chana, you can even use chhole, rajma or sprouts.

This takes me to my next snack option which is very similar, egg white chaat.

Replace black chana with egg whites and your egg white chaat is ready.

This is a great way to get over the bland taste of egg whites.

Now because egg whites are a source of lean protein so you can even add one roti to it.

Next snack options could be egg white bhurji or egg white omelette.

Now, you might be thinking that should we have egg whites in summer?

Definitely.

They won't cause you pimples.

It is a myth.

So friends, these were some healthy snack options.

I would suggest you to keep them handy with yourself, always.

Let me know in the comment section which snack option did you like the most.

And also share with me some of your healthy snack ideas.

So friends I hope you found this video helpful.

Well, if you did, do give it a thumbs up.

And also, please do remember to subscribe to my channel.

My name is Vivek, I thank you so much for watching.

Does the body plan for an animal reside in its DNA? - Duration: 6:21.

Ankerberg: In this next clip we're going to show the problem only gets worse, okay,

because scientists have discovered something else.

And this was amazing when I watched this.

They discovered the body plan for an animal does not reside in DNA.

So where is the information of each animal body plan stored, and where did that information

come from?

Folks, I want you to watch this clip.

Narrator: But the inability of random mutations to generate new genes and proteins is only

part of the problem; for the origin of Cambrian body plans demanded more than new genetic

information.

Richard Sternberg: A lot of the information for specifying an Anomalocaris, a trilobite,

what have you, does not reside at the DNA level.

Jonathan Wells: The body plan, as far as we know, is not in the DNA.

Narrator: While DNA carries the instructions to manufacture proteins, it cannot alone assemble

them into cell types, or arrange cell types into new tissues and organs, or tissues and

organs into body plans.

Instead, the formation of body plans ultimately requires another level of information stored

somewhere in the three-dimensional structure of the egg cell and the embryo; instructions

that direct the development of complex animals from fertilized eggs.

With computer animation we can observe this intricate process.

As an egg cell begins to divide and differentiate, a network of biological commands orchestrates

the development of an arthropod.

After several stages of division, dozens of new cells align against the outer membrane

of the egg.

And then, cued by a chemical signal, they start their migration toward targeted areas

in the embryo where they will gather and develop into a mature organism.

The cells steadily increase their numbers, and align, like members of a marching band,

into patterns that will form the tissues and organs, head and legs of the growing embryo.

Paul Nelson: That happens by a process of cell specification and differentiation, where

cells are committed irreversibly to performing particular roles.

You're going to give them different jobs to do: You're going to be a part of the

locomotory system of this organism; you'll be an eye; you'll be a gut; and so forth.

To me that's an absolutely astonishing process, but it works.

And what it builds you is different kinds of organisms, depending on the instruction

set that's provided.

Richard Sternberg: So there is an organismal blueprint, an ultimate point that the embryo

hones in on and is attracted to, and eventually embodies.

Jonathan Wells: That foresight, that preordained outcome, is built into the embryo.

Richard Sternberg: When you talk about these early developmental sequences, an Anomalocaris,

an Opabinia, what have you, you're talking about information in the broad sense, codes,

specifications, entailments, implications, that are orders of magnitude beyond anything

that we can currently conceive.

It's so off-scale that you've left that line of impossible by chance a long time ago.

Narrator: The volume and complexity of information that controls the development of a body plan

is staggering.

And its location in the cell stands as perhaps the ultimate challenge to the neo-Darwinian

scenario of random mutation and natural selection.

Stephen Meyer: We know that much of this higher level information that's required for building

new tissues and organs and body plans isn't found in DNA.

That means that you can mutate DNA indefinitely without respect to probabilistic limits, without

respect to time and number of trials, and you're never going to get the kind of form

and structure you need to build a new organism.

DNA is simply the wrong tool for the job; and no amount of time is going to overcome

that limitation.

That has a really devastating implication for the Neo-Darwinian mechanism.

Narrator: If the Darwinian mechanism cannot explain the origin of the information necessary

to produce the Cambrian animals, is there any other cause that can?

Ankerberg: So, Dr. Meyer, help us understand this a little bit more.

Meyer: This last problem that we saw explained in the film is really a very profound and

fundamental problem in modern biology.

According to neo-Darwinism, new form arises as a result of new variations.

And the new variations occur as a result of mutations in the DNA.

So the ultimate source of new biological form are changes in the arrangement of those A,

C's and G's in the DNA molecule.

But what developmental biologists are learning is that DNA is only part of the story.

It provides a necessary amount of information for building proteins, but that information

is nowhere sufficient to build a whole animal, because the proteins have to be arranged into

structures within cells.

Different types of cells have to be arranged to form tissues.

Different tissues have to be arranged to form organs.

And organs and tissues need to be arranged to form whole body plans or architectures,

where a body plan is a unique arrangement of body parts and tissues.

So DNA is necessary, but not sufficient.

NATURAL GLOWY MAKEUP ROUTINE (no falsies) | Roxette Arisa - Duration: 7:43.

what's up guys I'm Roxette

Arisa and welcome back to my channel

so today we're doing this makeup look

it's very natural and glowy and just an

everyday at makeup look that I would

wear a lot I feel like the last few

tutorials that I've done have all been

like super dramatic and prom and like

smokey eyes and stuff so I wanted to you

know take it down a notch and show you

guys a natural makeup look that I think

is really easy to achieve but also very

very beautiful and very glowy which we

all know I love so if you want to see

how I created this look then just keep

watching and don't forget to subscribe

before we hop in it make sure to hit

that little bell if you want to be

notified of all of my videos and they do

so for brows when I'm going for a

super-duper natural look I actually use

my dip brow pomade from ABH I know that

sounds kind of crazy but I also feel

like I can get more precise brows with

this product rather than a pencil

sometimes just because of the texture of

the product and the key is actually the

brush you use so I personally use the

Sigma winged liner e6

this is actually the brush that I use

for winged liner but I find that it

works really well for getting really

small brow strokes because it's so

tapered and then as soon as our brows

are just a little bit filled in honestly

I don't fold them in too much when I'm

going for like this SuperDuper natural

look but you can see I do a little bit

I'll go on doe

I'll go in with this cella ivory lace

highlighter pencil and just go right

underneath the brow bone to give a super

duper natural-looking highlight this is

a really natural highlight it's a lot

lighter than like a concealer would be

so it's just going to give you the

slightest bit of highlight on your brow

bone and then we can move on to brow gel

this is like my writers diet brow gel

I'm telling you guys it is the best brow

gel I've ever tried like it really does

actually hold your brows in place and

it's from makeup forever it's just their

brow gel in the shade 0 which is just

clear they have tented once - if you

want that but I prefer the clear so I

just go ahead and brush through my brows

always going in an upward motion to give

that fullness that

like Stanford Foundation I just want to

keep it very light and glowy I was

actually debating whether or not Stephen

used foundation because a lot of times

like if I'm just going out and I just

want something supernatural I will only

use concealer but let me know if you

guys want to see a different video on

more of like no foundation makeup

routine but for this one I'm going to be

mixing together these two foundations so

it's the Maybelline matte and poreless

in the shade to 30 and then NARS all day

luminous weightless I think it's called

in the shade medium for Bart oh my gosh

many hard is AG there but Barcelona is

the shade so I'm just going to be mixing

those together and then pound to get in

with my Beauty Blender I even sometimes

just go in with my fingers just because

like I said we're just trying to keep

this SuperDuper sheer and natural and

this foundation I mean sorry this video

is really going to be just focusing on

the face makeup just because when I'm

genuinely wearing or going for like a

natural look

I actually don't wear any eye makeup

because see I have like this little bit

of discoloration but I really don't mind

it so if you want you can add on like a

little bit of eyeshadow but I got that

natural shadow going sister and then to

brighten up the under eyes I'd like to

go in with something very lightweight

that's just going to give us a bit of

brightness so I am going to be using a

Zeus cover here this is L'Oreal magic

lumi highlighter pen and it's in the

shade light and I'm literally just going

to apply this underneath the eyes and

blend it in with my fingertips I find

that with concealer it really does give

a natural finish best when I blend it in

with my fingertips and I actually don't

want anything with too much coverage

today so this is actually a good option

because it really doesn't have like full

coverage effects which you know normally

I am all about the full coverage life

but if I'm really really going for this

like sort of dewy glowy natural look

then that's not really what I'm going

for today you know and once I feel like

my concealer is like completely blended

out I home straight to highlighters so

this is my latest obsession is liquid

highlighters honestly I just I don't

know what it is

I love liquid highlighters lately I use

this one almost daily this is the Becca

champagne pop liquid illuminator but I

just got this one I picked it up from

Ulta the other day and

I don't want to try this out so let's

hope this goes well but if not this is a

really good option as well for you guys

if you're looking for a bomb liquid

highlighter if you want drugstore be

L'Oreal one is really good Maybelline

makes a great one

so there's definitely options liquid

highlighters going you can go I'm

getting so excited when I'm tired not

them because I love liquid highlighters

because they're so natural and beautiful

whoo I didn't even tell you guys what

this is this is the Laura Geller liquid

gelato pillow top illuminator does that

sound like heaven or what you guys know

I love the Disgaea the original laura

geller gilded honey highlighters so when

I saw this I was like yes I'm gonna need

that so I just took a little bit and put

on the back of my hand and then I'm

going to take my Beauty Blender and put

it onto the top of the cheekbone whoo

okay Laura gonna we see you liquid

illuminators there's just something

about them that just looks so natural

like nothing else can compare so I

literally take this and I place it like

pretty much all over my face on the

cheekbone on the chin on the Cupid's bow

on the nose on the forehead girl I bathe

myself in this and I will also put this

on to kind of like my eyelid area

especially focusing on the brow bone so

this kind of gives us that glossy lid

finish I do like to add just a little

bit of definition back into the face and

also add a little bit more warmth back

in so I'll take my tarte cosmetics shaky

of concealer it's actually the shade

deep and this is what I'm going to use

to contour but also give in all over

bronze and it just again we're sticking

with that very very natural cat how many

times I said notch on this video

honestly I know it's been a lot but

yellow that's what we're going for so

yeah using creams is definitely going to

list a lot more natural than using

powders so that's why I'm using this guy

today and then we are going to use one

powder today just to set the under-eye

area because my under eyes tend to

crease so I have to do this if your eyes

actually don't tend to crease then you

know you can probably skip this step but

I'm going to be using mac cosmetics

mineralized skinfinish in the shade

light plus this is such a beautiful

setting powder if you're just going for

a very sheer luminous finish because it

doesn't have that much cover and

just really melts into the skin and I

could just go in and curl my lashes real

quick

I actually don't add mascara but I do

like to give them like more of an

uplifted look by curling them and I use

the Lancome lash curler then the last

step is actually going to be this

product that's oh I lost but this is the

Becca Beach tint in the shade fake flash

opal it's actually a really really

beautiful product and I use it as a lip

and cheek tint when I'm going for this

really natural vibe so I'll take it just

on my finger and put it on two minutes

and then I like to set everything down

with the tatcha luminous dewy skin mist

and this is the finished makeup look so

hope you guys enjoyed this video give it

a thumbs up if you did I'm going to list

all the products that we use down in the

description box and you can always leave

me requests for videos that you guys

want to see and if they have a lot of

thumbs up I'll be sure to do them so

yeah that's going to be it for me

remember you are beautiful inside and

out love you guys so so much and I'll

see you likes them

DO HIR AND HBTQ PEOPLE EXIST? | Jonna Delvert - Duration: 6:09.

I know we all can't be perfect, because that's something impossible. I probably still do mistakes

unconsciously. But when we know we're doing something wrong, we can change ourselves.

TWITTER, INSTAGRAM & SNAPCHAT: @jonnadelvert

Today I'll talk about the word 'Hir', how the word is used, what the word contains, what I do think of the word, in

what context with more. Recently I saw a heated debate on Facebook, they discussed about the word ''Hir''.

There's people thinking the word ''Hir'' is not useful. That was enough with

''He and she'' only. According to them, there were only two sexes.

Maybe it was all like that in the old times, because there was a small amount of researches on the biological and

psychological side, and the world wasn't as developed as today. So yes, maybe it was like that before with

only two genders. But wait, we're living in 2017 now.

To be able to live in 2017, you have to accept the fact that we have lots of different sexual orientations as

genders. What we have now at this moment, what I'm thinking of right now, is 1. Female

2. Male, 3. Hir

4. A woman for a day, and then the other day a man. (Gender fluid)

You can also be transsexual.

The first clear thing is that you are a human. Honestly, I still don't understand why a lot of people still

do persist in telling the word ''Hir'' doesn't exist, they're telling you that you're a woman and not transsexual.

You are just a confused woman.

And? What do other people's sexual orientation or gender have to do with you? What?

In principle, all communications are gender neutral,

You meet a new human and communicates with the person. Your behavior is changed when

you get to know the person, not by their gender.

Well, maybe, if you're heterosexual and you wants a new date, you may notice it's a guy

when you're a girl. You're attracted to guys and sees it as an opportunity.

But if you really just want to be friends - you don't want a relationship with anyone or you do already have one,

you'll see the person as a human being only. Right?

What do the person's gender have to do with it?

I can tell you that when my little sister was about 7 years old, she wanted to identify himself as a hir when she

was born as a girl.

On the time.. I wish I could say we accepted her more. We did, but we were more like..

''Yeah, it's just periodically.'' We thought that when she was in that age, seven years old, they do use to

change a lot about different things.

But it held long. Until today, hir is now 10 years old, and still identifies hirself as a hir. Hir

even changed hir name to a gender-neutral name. Hir found that as a good decision.

We in the family always supported hir through everything, but really deep in us, I can honestly say that

we thought, '' it's only periodically''. But now I know that it isn't just for periods.

Many years have passed and the hir still do feel like a hir.

And I took hir seriously and I saw over myself. Why did I even think that it was only for ''periodically''?

Why did I even had that idea?

I may be a hir one day, I can be something else the another day.. There's nothing called ''periodically''.

Your sex isn't something you do joke about.

What would happen if we did the opposite? If my little sister said she is a hir but we refuses to accept

it and still continues to call her a ''she'',

what could hir childhook look like then?

What happens to my little sister's personality then? Hir has such a lovely personality, hir is so strong, hir is so

wise and independent.

If we injured his identity, hir.. Hir wouldn't feel good today.

It makes such a big difference to support others in their gender identity. Incredible.

That's why I'm so annoyed at people who insists on saying the word ''Hen'' doesn't exist. Because I've got a

living proof that it does! And it's not the only one.

The same thing goes for the homosexuals, there's people who insists on saying they're only on a phase

Or there's also those who are bisexual, and others may say they're just insecure.

But you can be bisexual through your life. That's okay. Nothing wrong with that. It's something you can't

control. I can say that I support all the HBTQ- people, it's something obvious to me,

But I do notice that today's standards are so, so, so strong that even I can make mistakes.

I don't notice it myself. It happens unconsciously.

A very common example is when a girl friend of mine comes to me for a talk, I do sometimes ask

''Oh, you! Do you have a boyfriend?!!?''

But she may as well have a girlfriend too.

Maybe she battles with herself, she likes girls but won't show it and by me asking her

if she meets guys, I don't make it better.

Therefore, I have so far chosen to say, ''Are you seeing a person?'' The word ''person'' is gender neutral.

Or I'll write in the message ''Hir'' instead.

And the funny part is when I'm adapting myself and uses the word '''hir'', there's people who gets upset

and say, ''Do you think I'm a lesbian or something?''

As if it were something bad.

You do think I'm a lesbian? *Looks at my clothes*

It's a living proof that homophobia do exist.

There's people saying that we do live in an equal society.

Yes, maybe we do. But just because we now live in a more equal society than what we did for 100 years ago,

it doesn't mean that we're 100% equal now.

It's a lot of things that we do unconsciously - we're saying that we support them.

You're saying things. But what are you doing about it?

Just don't be so sure about that the woman you're meeting is interested in men.

Who someone likes isn't your problem.

Write in the comments section what you do think about the word ''Hir '' and what you think about HBTQ- people!

Have you made the same mistake as I did?

Or what are your tip for a more equal society?!

Zeiss Macro Lens: You Keep Shooting with Bryan Peterson - Duration: 2:36.

Almost sharp, right there is perfect

and take a look at that,

oh I love this I hope you feel

the same way. This is the

abstract world of Bryan Peterson

photographing as you can clearly see

right here, the inside back tailgate

of an old chevy pickup, now as far as the

exposures concerned let's get right to

the chaser, this is a classic 'who cares'?

f11 depth of field is not an issue so we want

to take advantage of the aperture of f11

that often provides the greatest

sharpness, clarity and contrasts.

Now I say that with great enthusiasm this time

because that's in combination with my

brand new Carl Zeiss 100 mm

Makro Planar lens.

It's a lens that

I personally think you really need to own

if you like to do macro work, as well as

portraits, speaking of which, take a look

at the portraits on your screen also shot

with this same lens.

Now I understand

what you're up against, you're saying it

well that's easy for you to say Bryan

because after all you probably get your

equipment for free. You are so wrong.

I pay for everything.

What?

Yes I really do.

Why, because I want the freedom to be

able to say; this is a piece of crap

or this is fantastic, and as a result I can

share honestly with you how things work

in my camera bag and why I think you too

should consider

the same items in your bag.

Now some of you out there you're

thinking; well that's easy if you're

Bryan who currently is single.

What about us married guys?

What about us married women?

Well I got news for you, no spouse

is happier than with a spouse

who's happy, so you simply go to your

spouse and say; you know how wonderful

I am to be around when I'm super happy

and the spouse says;

Oh, oh what's coming?

You say no, no it's true.

Well what would

make me really happy would be to buy

this lens that Bryan Peterson is recommending.

Now you're probably thinking

well wait a minute,

before I go to the spouse what's the price?

About $1,800.

The Nikon comparable lens is about a $1,000

Come on, at $800 what's the big deal?

An extra $800 for happiness that will

last you for years.

What spouse can say no to that?

So you show them this video

and say Bryan said I need this in order

to be a happier photographer and you know

what Bryan says happier photographers make

super happier spouses.

Now maybe that's not true in my case you

could ask all seven of my ex-wives

and they'd probably tell you

something different.

Seven! No I'm kidding, I think

it's, I don't know, three or four?

I can't remember it's been so long okay, in all

seriousness, this is the great lens,

I strongly recommend it.

I got to hurry

because here comes a plane!

Until next time

this is Bryan Peterson saying

You Keep Shooting.

Life Chat with MaeGee's Corner - Health (Assumptions vs Reality) - Duration: 15:02.

We are angelic show hosts.

YouTuber that doesn't know how to YouTube problems.

We are both very wide awake

Yes...

And alert

So alert!

Hey guys!

I am here with my friend Beka

Her YouTube channel is MaeGee's Corner

I will have all the information about that in the description.

You can check her out later if you would like to do that!

So basically, today we are going to be talking about

something...

We're going to be talking about how easy it is

to judge someone, and possibly how healthy they are

when you're just looking in from the outside

versus whether or not those judgements

we can easily make are actually

true, or hold any weight.

So basically, I got the idea for this video when

when I saw Beka's Facebook post she made

basically how you're doing in your weight loss!

And it's super exciting!

So, as of filming this video right now,

She's lost over 26 pounds

and like, she's doing really good, and that's like

incredible that she's just going after these goals and doing that.

But, it really got me thinking,

in her post she mentioned that she cut soda out of her diet

and I got thinking about that and was like,

that's something I haven't done.

I haven't gotten the sugary death water out of my life.

That's something I should do probably,

it would be much better for my body

but then it got me thinking.

People often judge, based solely on appearances

they say, "Oh, this person looks overweight, so

obviously, they're unhealthy, and they're not doing healthy things."

And it can be so easy to just look from the outside

and say, "Ah, yeah well,

they should be healthy, they're not being healthy

and just because you're overweight, well now I'm judging how you handle your health."

That's why I didn't post when I first started losing weight

'cause I'm like,

I'm going to get the crap judged out of me...

I'm just going to hide this

until I feel like I'm actually ready

to talk about it. -Yeah, and then you

made some progress and you shared it, and

you were surrounded by people who are like, "That's exciting!

That's awesome! We're so proud of you!"

But that judgement out there is real and it exists

from different people, so

we just wanted to address whether or not

doing something like that, does it have any grounds in facts

is it something that you can really justify doing

or, is there a better way to address this?

So I figured a good way to do that would be

to compare our exercise habits, our eating habits, and our sleep schedules.

Because those are three huge things relating to whether you're acting healthy or not.

So, we're going to compare those

and if you want to see who's actually healthy here,

stay tuned!

We're going to start with exercise then.

Now first, let's look at my exercise habits.

It's one of the first things people go to when they're saying,

"Oh, well obviously. This person is a little bit overweight

so they need to be exercising more."

Just because I am

almost unhealthily small

does not mean I am exercising.

The majority of exercise I get

happens when I get it in my head,

"I should really exercise more."

And so then for that day, I do 20 push ups

I do 20 sit ups

I dance around the room, I play just dance or something

I play loud music, I'm like "Oh yay! Cardio! This is fun!"

But, you know, I do that for a day.

And then, I have no motivation the next day.

I'm like, "Oh I got exercise yesterday."

I might go for a bike ride over the weekend

or help my husband with yard work, but

other than that, I am not making any active

effort to exercise. =/

People would never look at me and say,

"Man! You're definitely not in shape right now,

you should be exercising."

Purely because I don't have a little more weight on me,

it's just the way my metabolism works I guess, I dunno.

But yeah.

I'm not actively trying to do that, but people would never think it.

Now Beka on the other hand...

I actually work out at least once every single day

Sometimes I take Sundays off just because

Sundays I'm resting.

I do yoga at least once a week.

And I actually will feel physically sick if I don't

do my yoga during the week.

(Your body knows what you need)

Exactly.

I walk pretty much everywhere

I don't have a car currently, so

so getting pretty much everywhere is either

walking or begging for a ride.

I take the stairs.

I live on basically a basement floor, so

I have to go upstairs to get anywhere I have to go downstairs to get home.

I have to walk to my job

to classes, I take the stairs.

I try to do at least one other random

physical activity thing a week.

Whether it's dancing or yoga

or going for a walk...

Whatever I feel like doing!

Just something awesome.

My current job I work has me on my feet

pretty much the entire time that I'm on.

Running back and forth...

I try to stand when I am doing the one sitting job that I have to do

just because, sitting for

an hour and 15 minutes is not fun.

That's really true though.

Then as well, I did the fitness challenge which kind of jump-started everything!

And I'm wearing the shirt from it!

The Kuyper College official shirt for

the fitness challenge, where you need

to do 50 push ups

followed by 50 sit ups

followed by 50 squats

in a row.

And the challenge was to finish it in five minutes or less.

But I was one of two students

and one staff member

who stuck it out the entire time

for the whole two months this challenge was going on

That's a long time.

And I finished in under 7 minutes

while the other person who did it finished in under 5.

There you go!

That's good though! That's like meeting your goals and sticking to it!

Exactly! it was (That's awesome)

It felt awful, and incredible

at the exact same time!

That's so accurate though!

I miss that feeling, from like

doing soccer in high school.

That awful but awesome feeling of, "Man, my body is happy with me right now!"

And yet my body is also very unhappy with me at this exact moment!

That's so true...

You see, I need to work on this

she's doing a great job and continuing and I'm so proud of her!

But again,

you would never know it if all you're going off of is,

"Man, this person looks like this, so I assume this."

You wouldn't guess it.

Next we're going to address our eating habits.

I think I'm unique in the problem I have when it comes to eating

for most people.

I eat balanced meals.

So I do try to get all the food groups in there,

and eat things that are fresh and good and I like to cook

so the food I eat is good food.

Like, I'm not filling myself with crap, so that's great.

But,

I forget to have meals,

and that's really really bad for you.

I've been getting better at it in the past couple weeks,

but for all of last year basically

I'm just not good at habits.

So even something as simple as meals,

You'd think meals would be easy right? No.

I'll get up, and I'll start doing work in the morning,

and before I know it, it will be three o clock, and I'm like

"I really don't feel good, I'm getting a headache, I wonder why this is."

And then, probably 45 minutes later I'll be like,

"Oh! I haven't eaten yet today!

That's a thing I should do!"

So then I make myself a small meal then,

and then for dinner I'll have like, a huge meal!

Lots and lots of food.

I give my body what it needs,

but i gets it in like, this massive chunk.

And that's not good for you at all.

Your body wants to have regular meals

because your body does better when it's on a schedule first of all,

and it wants smaller portions, not just eating all your food near the end of the day.

(Which is what I habitually do.)

Ah, yeah, see? I have a habit of doing the wrong thing.

So I've been working on that recently, but again,

looking at me you'd say, "Oh yeah,

she's obviously eating healthy."

And while the contents of the food I'm eating is healthy,

the way I'm doing it is not.

And that is something I am currently working on.

Meanwhile, since December,

I've kind of been working on monitoring

my own eating habits, just because

I've had a lot of struggle with it in the past.

One of the first things I do

is I make sure I get plenty of water during the day.

At least 100 ounces.

Although I should be hovering around

over 160.

It's really hard.

I am lactose sensitive.

So, I try to limit dairy.

I still can't resist mac 'n cheese, I mean,

come on, mac 'n cheese is just too good!

So I have little portions of that

when it's available to me.

I eat lots of meals during the day,

but they're very small meals.

And that's what your body needs!

For example, this week, because it's finals week

and I have trouble with stress eating

and I know this about myself

I'm trying to limit myself to 500 calories or less

for my big meals.

And then, I eat lots of small snacks in between.

And usually a snack for me is like,

fruit,

or one of the little bags of popcorn that you can buy at the store,

or different 100 calorie snack packs

of nuts and raisins, and what have you.

Oh, so good!

Stuff that makes your body happy!

Exactly!

I also cut out soda after New Years.

(Other than

certain kinds of root beer and ginger ale I still drink)

but most of those are like, natural.

Not all those sweeteners and additives and <bleh hand motion>

And I even tried to have soda

a couple weeks ago

and got so sick to my stomach

it was not fun.

Because once you cut it out, your body knows.

It's like, "Oh yeah! I don't need that!"

and then you try to have it again, and it's like

"I DON'T NEED THAT!"

Exactly.

I still drink coffee

and I still do tea,

but I try to make sure that 95% of the time

when I have those things

no sugar, no creamer.

Luckily, I like the taste of black coffee.

I do enjoy indulging

in fancy coffee and tea drinks

and stuff like that. -It's so good sometimes!- Exactly!

It's good for your soul and good for your stomach.

Yes! You also gotta nurture yourself here too.

Like, it's good to take care of this,

but occasionally, this is very important.

I usually try to limit those to once a week.

And on the days that I have those, I make sure

that I intentionally exercise

more to burn off all the excess calories.

Sleep!

Oh dear.

Oh sleep.

Alright, the last thing we were going to cover is our sleep schedules.

Because, your sleep is very important to your health too.

My sleep schedule, at least, the one I've been trying to get into,

is being in bed by 10:30ish

sometimes I succeed, sometimes I don't.

And then my husband has to be leaving for work by

6:30 so,

getting up at 5:50 or 6

and you know, helping him get his lunch ready and all that

That would be pretty healthy sleep schedule, problem is,

I get enough sleep in that time period,

an then I am very tempted to go back to bed

when he leaves.

And that is what I struggle with.

Because I know my body is getting enough sleep, so

I can "overdose" on sleep sometimes.

But, I'm getting better at that.

I'm actually staying up more often

and getting stuff done more

'cause those are really hours you can be very productive in too

-Exactly- so, I'm getting better at it

but I am not 100% on my sleep schedule.

But I'm learning and it's something I'm aware of

and I'm growing! So, that's where I'm at.

And then, I am a college student.

So, sometimes the sleep schedule gets

a little messed up.

But I usually try to keep it

approximately the same time, especially during the week.

(During the weekend it kind of goes off the rails.)

But, such is life.

Such is college life especially.

So I usually try to get up between 6:30 and 8 am

depending on which classes I have to go to that morning

and what I've got going on.

And then 1 am is my absolute latest bedtime

and that's only if it is an emergency and I have

this paper due in my very first class tomorrow

and I need to finish it now.

But typically it's around 11, 11:30 that I go to bed

sometimes midnight.

I sleep a lot more than most of the other people on campus do.

I need at least 8 hours

to actually feel alive.

(Which is why I drink coffee)

because that makes up for that missed hour

that often happens.

I feel like I think 7 or 7 1/2 would be perfect for me.

But then, I just, I love my dreams so much,

I have that desire to go back to sleep, because

I was in this epic world I just created, and I was solving problems

and I was a superhero! I was flying 10 stories above the earth!

I did all the cool things! Now I want to go back!

Exactly, so that's kind of my struggle,

It's not that I need more sleep, it's that I want more.

That is the weekend struggle for me. <sighs> -Yeah-

So, we're both working on sleep.

We're getting there.

So, in conclusion,

what you eat, how you sleep, and what exercise you're getting

those are huge parts of your health

and how healthy you are being.

But in online forums,

and just, even people being

rude or judgemental in person,

often, all we think about is,

"You look a certain way, so I'm going to say you're not being healthy."

That's not a good way!

It's not a good way to address the world. -Exactly-

It's not a good way to think about things.

Everyone has a different circumstance,

everyone takes different steps to get through what they're working on

'Cause I mean I have a couple of different, I have,

I am pre-diabetic.

And then I also have another endocrine disorder, poly-cystic ovarian syndrome.

And because of these different things

my body packs on weight.

And my body holds on to that fat.

Just because of how, chemically, my body is imbalanced.

Which is, part of why,

since I can't afford the full medication

and I don't really want to go through all the side effects of that medication

and diabetes is something you can't really come back from

once you've got it, you have it forever,

I decided in December,

I really need to get my body back.

-And you've been doing it!- So that's why I've been working on

exercising and dieting! -And that's awesome!-

That's just it though! Everyone's got different things they're going through

I didn't even know that second one!

I was like "What?" <boom sound effect> Mind blown.

I was still in the process of being diagnosed when we lived together.

Okay, that's why.

And I suffer from migraines, I get them all the time,

and I can be just a very "frail" person in general

when it comes to my immune system and things like that.

Trust me, I had to take care of her a couple times when she got sick

and then fiance now hubby was not available.

Yeah, at school, I'd be

I'd be out of commission.

It was not good times.

So everyone's dealing with something different,

so don't just judge someone on what you see.

If you actually care about them, get to know them

and encourage those who are actually in your life

and give the benefit of the doubt to people you don't know.

Because the world's going to be a happier place if we're

plotting everyone's good instead of their downfall.

Exactly.

Encouraging and building up instead of tearing down.

I hope that this has opened your eyes to the

possibilities of what the world could be

if we were all just a little bit nicer.

A little bit more understanding.

So, again, if you want to check out Beka's channel

you'll always have what you got success

you pursue success is looking for a good

winter when you can't figure it out the

winter when it all go smash the winter

when it turns belly-up the winter when

it won't work when you run out of money

and you've got a broken heart see those

are winter times there's all kinds

economic winters social winters personal

winters when your heart is smashed in a

thousand pieces and the nights are

unusually long your prayers seem to go

no higher than your head it's wintertime

let's see the disappointments come those

are normal that's part of life but the

question is how do you handle it how do

you handle the coming winters and the

disappointments in the downturns well

you can't get rid of January by tearing

it off the calendar but here's what you

can do you can get stronger you can get

wiser and you can get better the winters

won't change but you can and that's how

life changes for you don't wish it was

easier wish you were better don't wish

for less problems wish for more skills

don't wish for less challenge wish for

more wisdom that's the key learn how to

take advantage of the spring spring is

called opportunity and spring follows

winter what a great place for it if

you're going to put it somewhere that'd

be the place to put it right after

winter and pray tell how often does

spring follow winter every year with

regularity 6,000 you can almost count on

it

the opportunity always comes days follow

night isn't that terrific opportunity

follows difficulty but here's what you

must learn to do take advantage you must

learn to take advantage of the spring

see just because spring rolls around is

no sign you're going to look good come

fall you got to do something with it in

fact you have to get good at one of two

things in life planting in the spring or

begging in the fall or get somebody to

do it for you see those are about the

only alternative now here's what else

you must do take advantage of the

springs quickly because there's only a

few just a handful of Springs have been

handed to each of us they don't come

forever life is fairly brief so you got

to read every book you can get your

hands on them what to do with your

spring while they're here and take

advantage they soon run out so whatever

you're going to do with your life you've

got to get at it don't just let the

springs pass pass that learn how to

protect your crops all summer you got to

take care of what you start sure enough

as soon as you've planted your garden in

the spring the busy bugs and the noxious

weeds are out to take it

and here's the next bit of truth they

will take it unless you prevent it and

that's the third major skill to learn

you've got to learn to prevent the

intruder from taking all the good you

start it's one of the challenges all

good will be attacked on this planet

maybe not the next one we get to but on

this one all good will be attacked every

garden will be invaded not to think so

is naive all values must be defended

political values social values community

values family values marriage values

friendship values business values every

garden must be tended all summer learn

how to reap in the fall without

complaint

learn the reap come harvest time without

complaint

take full responsibility for what

happens to you it's one of the highest

forms of human maturity accepting full

responsibility it's the day you know you

passed from childhood to adulthood the

day you accept full responsibility

learn to reap in the fall without

apology without apology if you do well

and without complaint if you don't

that's maturity it's not what happens

it's what you do what happens is about

the same you might put that in princess

here same what people do that's what's

different

anything can happen right everything

could happen I've heard all the stories

I've been one of the stories hey we can

all tell stories all night long right

happening anything can happen

everything can happen anything can

happen but it's not the happening it's

what you do about it somebody says yeah

but you don't understand the

disappointments I've had come on

everybody's had their share

disappointments are not special gifts

reserved for the poor everybody has them

the difference is what you do about

starting tomorrow what are you going to

do that'll make a change in your life

sir

good question what are you going to do

starting tomorrow that'll make a

difference now see if you don't do

something starting tomorrow that'll make

a difference guess what it's going to be

the thing and see that way you can guess

what the next five years are going to be

like look at the last five because the

next five are going to be like the last

five unless you major key tomorrow

change it all or change a little or

change something or don't change

it's choice time you can do whatever you

want but it's nice to know any day you

wish you can change your whole life what

can you do starting tomorrow that'll

make a difference and reach down inside

of you and come up with some more of

those remarkable human gifts they're

there waiting to be utilized and then

change anything for you you want to

change and I challenge you to do that

because you can change

if you don't like how it is for you

change it if it doesn't suit you change

it if it doesn't please you change it if

it isn't enough change it and I

challenge you to do that because you can

change see you don't ever have to be the

same again after tonight only by choice

you

HELICOPTER WAS SPINNING BUT IT

FORTUNATELY, NO ONE INSIDE THE

AN EFFORT TO LEGALIZE

THAT DOESN'T STOP ADVOCATES

FROM CONFRONTS STATE LAWMAKERS

TODAY.

A GROUP HELD WHAT THEY

IT WOULD LEGALIZE MEDICAL

THOSE REHEARD FROM TODAY
