Hey, what's up?

I got a question here that—I get this question quite a bit.

I'm going to try to answer this at least in one way.

There's probably a few different ways I could answer this question but it is: "What is the

programming language of the future?"

I'll read the question I got here.

He says, "Hi John, let me first thank you a lot for doing what you do.

I watch your videos daily and you're really such an inspiration."

Well, that's cool.

Thank you.

I'm 22 at the moment and I'm studying computer science in college.

Prior to this I've worked as a freelancer within web development but I wanted to broaden

my programming experience, so I hit the books.

Right now I'm testing out all sorts of different development, from building apps in Swift,

learning Java, and right now low-level C. My intention is to try and learn as much as

possible, but I still feel like I want to specialize in some type of language and really

master it.

I'm also really interested in AI, artificial intelligence, but don't really know where

to start.

My questions to you are: What is your take on the future of programming languages?

What would you consider the most essential to master not only for now, but in terms of

the future?

Do you have any experience with AI development or know where to start?"

I'm going to skip the AI development question and I'm just going to answer the programming

language of the future question.

I think that the programming language of the future has actually not been invented yet.

I don't think we have that yet.

I think that what we've got right now is we've got a lot of languages that are evolving towards

it but they're evolving in complexity to the point that we need a simplification.

A lot of times what ends up happening with technology is we end up having sort of this

pile up where we build up these huge things and then we have this massive collapse as

a new level of abstraction is put down on top of it and it sort of paves over it and

now we can simplify- things, right?

The reason why I say that is that because languages like C# and Java have become very

bloated.

They're very good langauges and they're very expressive.

You can do a lot with them even some things like—even Ruby and Python and whatnot.

We've gotten a lot of different things.

We've gotten a lot of concepts where—I mean if you think about it, I'll just pick on one

that I know which is C# which is we've essentially taken the language of C# and we've added a

lot of functional programming to it.

You can essentially do functional programming in C#.

You could write C# code that is purely functional and that's sort of—if you think about all

the different keywords, all the different things and C# keeps on growing that's a lot

of stuff.

We've kind of hit this point where you can do anything, but is that really what we need?

What we need is to simplify.

We need to take all those concepts as we're learning, as we're evolving these languages

and we eventually need to come up with a language that is going to be a little bit more universal.

There's really no reason why we have to have so many programming languages.

Right now, almost all programming languages are converging to this point where they all

are kind of on par with what they can do functional wise.

If you look again, some of the ones that I'm more familiar with, I know that C# now can

do a lot.

You can write functional in it.

You can do a similar kind of coding that you would done with F# or Haskell or one of those

other functional lisp and functional languages.

At the same time, Java has also developed now functional programming.

You can do purely Java or functional programming in Java.

I saw a Hacker News article where someone was writing about how they were doing purely

functional programming in Java.

It was a little bit of a bastardization of it but he y, I could see that happening.

C# and Java are almost equivalent.

Java started getting all these features that was being innovated in C#.

I think that there's really no reason why we have to have all these different programming

languages at this point because they're all kind of able to do everything.

Now there's some specialized languages and I understand the argument for that.

So maybe there'll be a few different specialized languages but we really need to come to a

point where we have a general purpose programming language that we just use, that everyone uses

and it gets developed and is simplified because there's just—there's no reason, right?

There used to be a reason why we had all these specialized languages and they existed for

specific purposes.

There are still, like I said, to some degree languages like R and whatnot, but even those

I think we can really collapse under one programming language and that will make things a lot more

effective for the future because we don't have to learn as many things.

There's not as much gaps between communication.

That's what I think is that I think we're heading towards this point.

I think we'll eventually have a language that dominates.

I think we're still early in the development of software development as a career, as a

profession, as a science, if you will, and that that we'll eventually hit that.

Just like mathematics has a standard mathematical notation.

I mean there were a bunch of different ones and now there's just one way in general.

I mean maybe there's a couple, but there's one general way that we do mathematics and

we write down—we have different symbols that we utilize and we pretty much standardize

on that.

I think that programming is no different that we'll eventually find that and we just haven't

found that yet.

As for today, I really couldn't say what programming language that I would recommend.

I did a video on the most popular programming languages for 2017.

You can check that one out if you're curious what my thoughts are on that.

It changes from day to day.

We've got a lot of fluctuation.

JavaScript is still probably a pretty good bet at this point to hit your wagon to and

Python is also one of those ones that I think that I see really increasing.

Its' really hard to say at this point because we still have this very much diversified field

of programming languages out there.

I do hope that we do converge on one though.

I do think that's the future.

I can't see us having just this many programming languages that are now all becoming closer

and closer to functionally equivalent.

It just doesn't make sense.

If you can do the same stuff you can do in C# and Java and Python and Ruby and all the

other programming languages why have so many of them and make things so confusing?

But you know what, technology is never—it doesn't always follow the straightforward

path that I would like it to.

Being in the Whitney Biennial is really interesting right now

because of my background as a Latino queer artist.

Essentially, I'm showing in "the museum of American art"

and I'm from Mexican descent,

but, you know, what does that mean today?

And what that'll mean for tomorrow...

I don't know.

I'm listening to a lot of techno right now.

It's so that I can keep the momentum.

I never try to be a perfectionist with my work.

I've always wanted to make stained glass,

and I feel like it's a little heavy, you know?

So this makes it lighter

and I can do it anywhere I want.

Sometimes my friends come over and we, like, chill out.

[LAUGHS]

And they'll watch me cut a bunch of paper together.

[LAUGHS]

I grew in Morelia, Michoacán.

Growing up in Mexico was really magical

because I got to see a lot of forms of celebration.

I got to experience death as a really young child.

That's what my work is about:

it's like seeing the facets of happiness and sadness

all in one place.

Color was such an embedded part of my life

that I always saw things as bright as they could be.

The most interesting part about this to me is

you can make something out of the simplest things

and it can translate into a different reality.

Not knowing how it's going to turn out

is extremely exciting.

Because I'm just anticipating...

Um...

the day I get to put this up

and see what it does.

It really hits the wall!

--So, I'm picturing the orange one...

My mom had already been living in the United States

for about two months.

One day, my aunt came to pick us up from school,

and she said, "You're going to America. Let's go."

And we got on a plane without a bag.

--This woman is supposed to go right here.

--She's kind of like going, like...

--Yeah, like this.

--[LOCKS] What would you like the posture to be?

--[DE NIEVES] Well, I mean, I wish it was a little bit more animated,

--because that looks so real with these, like, hands in the air.

--But, I figured even if it could just be like...

That day that I got into a plane,

knowing that I didn't have any belongings,

a lot of things went through my head.

I was obviously scared,

because I was nine years old and couldn't speak English.

But I knew that I would be able to survive.

And that I just have to trust

what ever life was going to bring me next.

--But,

--can a viewer come right here?

--Is that illegal?

--I mean...

Creating this narrative,

with all these figures and symbols--

just taking what I've learned from experiences

and being able to put it in one image--

is really important for me right now.

The first panel in the stained-glass mural

is of a person in sickness.

He is challenging his mentality

to turn from bad to good--

or is asking for help.

And then it trickles down to

a personal fight.

Defeat is really important.

It should be somewhat of a struggle to continue.

I think the fly is actually the core of life.

It's constantly watching--

you know, it's like a secret.

At the end, I want it to be a celebration of life.

--[INTERVIEWER, OFF SCREEN] You're 33?

[DE NIEVES] I'm 33!

Yeah.

My dad died when he was 33.

My dad died when I was two years old,

but I feel like he's closer to me now than...

ever.

I mean, I don't know,

but his remembrance allows me to

keep going.

It feels more of a gift.

To me, it symbolizes my dad's spirit.

My grandfather.

My grandmother.

My own personal spirit.

It's a celebration of my mom's courage

to bring me to this country.

She had to do it for her and three other kids.

I always believed that the United States

was the land of all nations,

and I guess I'm starting to realize

that's not completely true.

The mural talks about this experience--

this journey.

I feel really happy that I could put so much emphasis

on this idea of "a better tomorrow" in my artwork.

The fact that there are so many diverse groups in this exhibition

is really important.

And hopefully it reminds people that

this is 2017.

We don't want to go back in time--

we want to move forward.

Carmelo Anthony Is Trying to Save His Marriage - Duration: 2:08.

It seems like just last month—well, it was just last month—that NBA star Carmelo Anthony

and his wife La La were a healthy, happy, successfully branded power couple.

But about a week and a half ago, it all came crashing down.

In mid-April the pair separated, with La La moving into her own place.

The day after that was reported, it came out that Melo had gotten another woman—a dancer

at a gentleman's club in NYC—pregnant.

La La, it was said, was understandably pissed about the situation, and chances of a reconciliation

seemed slim.

But now, Carmelo seems to be trying to change that.

TMZ reports that he's been engaged in a frantic effort to save his marriage by sending texts

apologizing and saying that he's still in love with her.

He has also asked for them to spend time together, on dates or a vacation.

And Melo has been doing something new to show his affection as well—liking La La's posts

on social media.

He was reluctant to do that before, apparently, but the need to make things right appears

to have changed his mind.

Close observers will remember that this is not the first bump in the road for the no-longer-happy

couple.

Back in 2012, just two years into the marriage, there were already rumors that Carmelo was

cheating.

The following year found more talk about relationship trouble, and even press reports saying that

the couple had already separated, including this memorable moment from Wendy Williams.

As for this latest go-round, the dancer doesn't appear to have been Melo's only indiscretion.

The New York Post shared what they said was Melo's line ladies he'd meet on the road when

they asked him about his wife: "La La is married, I'm not."

The article says that the NBA star, quote, "would often flirt or hook up with women while

he was on the road."

Seems like Carmelo has dug himself a hole that he might not be able to get himself out

of with a handful of IG likes, but stranger things have happened.

But no matter what, every report indicates that Melo and La La are still civil to each

other, for the sake of their 10-year-old son Kiyan.

Hello internet!!!

And welcome to Behind The Meme!!!

Today we have a look at "ain't got rhythm"

Mucho gracias to each and every single one of my amazing viewers who suggested a video

on this here topic.

This one has been requested for quite some time now but the requests have seem to pick

up over the last couple of weeks so I figured it was finally time to get it done.

You guys wanted it!

Now you have it! here we go!!

Do you have rhythm?

You know…rhythm.

One of the main components of music, dance, and even sometimes speech.

It is defined as a repeated pattern of movement or sound.

So for example when you play a music instrument you usually play in rhythm with the drum beat

which itself is playing a rhythm.

Unless you're one of those weird experimental bands that just kinda breaks all the rules

and does whatever it wants to do.

YIKES!!

Rhythm even happens when people dance, you know dances like…uhhh, what are you kids

into nowadays?

The twist?

Is the twist still a popular dance?

lets go with the twist…

When you do the twist you are dancing in rhythm to the song.

what I'm trying to say is most humans have some interaction with rhythm whether they

know it or not.

It's something that most of us have and have dealt with since the beginning of time!

But would you believe me if I told you that some people don't have rhythm?

I'm looking at you white people.

It's ok I can make that joke because I'm white.

It's the rules of racism it's not really racist if you're making fun of your own

race!

At least I think that's how it works.

So now that we have a better understand to what rhythm is and how it can be used it brings

us to "aint got rhythm".

Phineas and Ferb!!

Not penis and ferb like I first thought…but phineas and ferb.

Hey it's an honest mistake, look at the spelling of Phineas!

I mean cmon!

Phineas and Ferb Is a beloved animated series that ran on The disney channel from 2007 until

2015.

The cartoon was about two step brothers, phineas and ferb who have crazy adventures during

their summer vacation.

The show was very popular and had positive ratings with both the audience and critics.

One of the most notable elements of the show that stood out was their use of songs that

accompanied many episodes and often were based around subject matter that were a vital part

of the plot.

In fact a few times songs from the show were nominated for Emmys!

Freakin Emmys you guys.

That's a pretty big deal in the world of television…especially for a cartoon.

I mean, it's not an Oscar or a Grammy, but it's the next best thing!

It's an Emmy!

One of the songs was a song titled " ain't got rhythm" , it lost, but still, it was

nominated for an Emmy!!

Which is pretty cool thing at the end of the day!

The song came from an episode of the series titled "Dude, we're getting the band back

together" and aired on March 8, 2008.

You know…2008 back when the economy took a nose dive and everybody was effed!!

The episode focused on Phineas and Ferb getting their parents favorite band back together

so they could properly celebrate their wedding anniversary.

throughout the episode the boys have to convince each band member to reunite so they can play

one more show for their parents and The drummer of the band who is now a librarian is under

the impression he no longer has rhythm

"all these sweet old ladies and this carpet from the 80's what more could a librarian

need?

shhhh!!! besides I ain't got rhythm!

No I aint got rhythm.

I said I aint got rhythm!

I ain't got rhythm"

Now like I said before, the song didn't win an Emmy but it did something even better!

Years later, in early 2017, it started to be used within memes, being used within word

replacement remixes in a very similar way to the ever popular we are number one and

numerous other similar memes.

By now most of you guys know the formula, when a certain action takes place or a word

is said crazy shit happens!

But as with other memes of similar origins the edits have started to be used in numerous

ways that can't always be defined.

Other than their use of the "aint got rhythm" song!

No I aint got rhythm.

I said I aint got rhythm!

I ain't got rhythm!

but listen to what you're doing right there with that stamp and a book you got a real

nice hook it sounds like you got rhythm to spare.

I have no idea what you are talking about I have as much rhythm as that BEEE!!!! what

happen to me was a tragedy

The examples of the meme are vast and limitless!

A quick search will show you how many different ways the song has been used and will give

you an idea of how it can be used in the future.

Although there are numerous variations I would have to say that this one is one of my favorites!

So there you have it!

What started off as an emmy nominated song from an animated cartoon eventually turned

into a popular meme edited in a variety of clever and interesting ways with unlimited

possibilities!!

But hey!!

BRITISH OCEANOGRAPHER SOLVES THE BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE

The Bermuda Triangle.

Everyone has heard of it before, be it in the way of a scary tale of sailors being lost

at sea because of this mysterious triangle, or how throughout the decades many disappeared

right in the middle of it.

Some even say airplanes that flew above the triangle got "teleported" into another area,

miles away from their original location.

There was also airplanes that mysteriously disappeared in the airspace above the triangle.

Really makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Conspiracists have continuously tried to debunk the mystery of the Bermuda triangle, to no

avail

However, British physicist and oceanographer, Dr. Helen Czerski does have an answer to one

of the questions at least.

For many years, quite a number of people have believed that methane bubbles under the seafloor's

surface caused passing ships to sink.

This is called the 'methane hydrates' theory.

This theory is based on the foundation that these small methane bubbles decrease the density

of water around the ship, causing it to sink.

Dr. Czerski debunked this myth, saying that this is scientifically impossible to achieve.

It actually does the opposite - these methane bubbles, rather than sinking a ship, might

actually really cause it to stay afloat instead!

The massive pressure from the methane bubbles floating to the surface will cause the ship

to move aside, but this is no factor in sinking a ship, as all ships have been equipped with

air-tight compartments at the bottom of the ship to keep them buoyant even when strong

waves crash against them(which is, theoretically, the whole point of a ship).

The first story line took place in Louisiana, at the Battle of Liberty Place, where four

Confederate monuments were removed in an attempt to erase History of five thousand members

of the White League, a paramilitary organization of the Democratic Party, made up largely of

Confederate veterans, fought against the outnumbered Metropolitan Police and state militia (Source),

and the New Orleans Police Department set up barricades at the entry points to the monument,

while snipers were positioned to look down upon the monuments as they were being removed

by men who wore black vests, yellow helmets and pieces of cloth to cover their faces.

Those "protections" were put in place after 30 supporters of the monuments peacefully

protested by holding a midnight "candle-lit vigil."

Long story short, the Democratic Mayor, Mitch Landrieu, allowed snipers to train weapons

on American citizens that were peacefully protesting and had not threatened violence,

all because Democrats are intolerant of truthful history. Bad or good, offensive or not, it

is a historical landmark Landrieu has just defaced to appease those that find the truth

of history "offensive."

Compare that to what is happening on the other end of the country, in Berkeley California,

where protesters have routinely become violent, where threats of loss of life have been made

by masked cowardly thugs of Antifa and other groups, where conservative speakers are having

events cancelled because the Democratic Mayor of that city, Jesse Arreguin, who has been

linked to the violent extremist groups that have already organized riots, fire bombs and

destruction of property, as well as publicly threatening conservative speakers, is refusing

to protect free speech advocates against those threats.

Not only is the Berkeley Mayor refusing to protect free speech advocates, according to

a Young America�s Foundation, who sponsored Ann Coulter to speak at Berkeley, they "discovered

that the University of California Police Department at Berkeley has an official 'stand-down' policy

for any situation that develops on campus as long as the situation doesn't involve the

imminent loss of life, allowing the leftists thugs who have terrorized Berkeley's campus

to do so without consequence."

That has been confirmed by a Fox News report, saying that during the April 15th free speech

rally, when attendees were forced to fight back when Antifa thugs attacked them, the

Mayor was responsible for "handcuffing police officers," which resulted in resulted in 11

injuries, including a stabbing.

Further verification of the police standing down came in the form of videos, some seen

at The Blaze, more below, of police doing nothing while violence was erupting in the

streets.

According to a statement on the YAF website, they have been forced to pull out of the event

"due to the lack of assurances for protections from foreseeable violence from unrestrained

leftist agitators." They are continuing on with their lawsuit against the college.

According to reports, law enforcement sources have told Fox News that there is a "99 percent"

chance there will be violence if Ann Coulter speaks on Thursday, April 27, 2017, the date

she was contracted to speak, by invitation, yet we see no offer of protective vests, gear

for Coulter and her security crew, and the Democratic Mayor there hasn't called in the

snipers to protect the conservative students that want to attend her event.

Charles �Sid� Heal, a retired commander from the Los Angeles Sheriff�s Department,

succinctly summarizes the problem:

"There�s a disconnect from a realistic approach on how to deal with violent protests," he

said. "�The politicians need to understand they are representing the majority of the

community, and their personal agendas may not meet the overall community."

A city official told Fox News that she is receiving emails from concerned citizens fearing

that police officers are not doing enough to protect them.

There have been at least three UC Berkeley free speech protests that have devolved into

violence since February 1st � leading to 34 arrests, 39 injuries and property damage

totaling at least $100,000.

At this point, tensions are so high, law enforcement are predicting violence despite the fact that

Coulter has cancelled her appearance

ALL EYES SHOULD BE ON BERKELEY ON THURSDAY

Berkeley is the flashpoint, the last stand for the constitutional right of free speech

and as was seen on April 15, 2017, patriots are no longer willing to allow themselves

to be attacked, beaten and threatened into silence, as they fought back and ran the Antifa

thugs off with their tails between their legs. Then Antifa thugs called for "combat training"

and weapons for the next event, which is on Thursday.

ANP will be keeping track of the events in Berkeley on Thursday.

Most experts say that letting your dog eat grass poses no real risk to your dog.

But, do try to keep your dog from ingesting freshly fertilized or grass that has been

The main problem comes from the south of the map, basically Flood there is to keep you distracted.

After destroying it, just focus on destroying the Sentinels.

The Flood won't be anymore a big problem but Sentinels, of course.

Their EMP cannon and damage in groups can be harsh.

Fully upgraded Wolverines with Spartans might be your best friend here.

Keep casualties at minimum, and the Gold is yours.

In Florida only Republicans can vote for

Republicans and Democrats for Democrats in the

primary. So if you're one of the 3.5 million

registered independents with no

candidate running, you can't vote.

That's not democracy guys.

Both parties are failing the voters of Florida.

I feel disenfranchised that

I cannot vote in the primaries.

And it really bothers me that I cannot vote in them.

I can't imagine

us being able to call ourselves a democracy here.

The concern is so serious now that the state has

formed a commission to look into it.

Members will hold meetings across the state and

ultimately decide if it should go on the ballot.

We need to open the primaries in the state of Florida.

We need open primaries.

Go for an open primary instead of a closed one.

People complain that they can't participate if

they're not registered with a particular party.

complaint for 18 years.

They want to be able to vote.

Primary elections are paid for by Florida taxpayers.

So why should any portion of our voting constituents feel left out?

Fix it. Open the primary.

What's crackin fam its GK I'm going to

be checking out the alpha of Party Hard

number two now how does a big fan of the

original game because I loved how weird

it was and if you were having a bad day

it was just kind of fun to load it up

and murder an entire Club full of people

so as you can see this is still

completely bathed in neon just like the

original one which I am a huge sucker

for now I remember the original one

having a very weird story and I really

like the way it's presented is kind of a

cheesy b-movie cop sort of drama thing

but this is the Alpha I'm sure there's

no story implemented in it yet it looks

like we might actually be playing the

character from the original game I'm not

a hundred percent sure but one thing I

do notice is different is we actually

have objective other than kill everyone

so the first objective is kill the drug

dealers which looks like there's five

killed chemists or just for hide a body

and explode a canister okay so there's

all kinds of stuff that we should do and

evacuate I'm assuming evacuate just

means like leave the area I don't

actually think it means to evacuate the

club let's take a look at our

surroundings real quick oh okay

so killer vision or whatever our

instinct is

upgraded from the original game because

you originally just saw a little like

crosshair on something you can mess with

but now it's actually lit up and it

shows you your target

I'm guessing and any kind of obstacles

that might mess you up and it looks like

we have an inventory too so that's

pretty cool yep we can move that stuff
