How To "Cycle" Your Cardio & Interval Workouts For Faster Fat Loss - Duration: 6:13.

Hey, everybody.

Shaun Hadsall here, the owner of Get Lean in 12.

And inside the short fat loss video,

I'm going to teach you how to do cardio the right way so

that you can avoid weight loss plateaus using something

that I've coined called cardio cycling.

Now this isn't cycling on a bike.

This is working and accessing the three

different metabolic systems that your body contains

that will help you burn more belly fat

and stop your body from hitting a weight loss plateau.

If you're watching this, you don't know who I am.

I'm a stubborn fat expert.

I've been in the health and fitness industry over 20 years.

In the last five years alone, my wife Karen and I

have helped over 100,000 people across the globe

with our products and services.

So let's quickly talk about cardio cycling.

Now before I tell you how to cycle

your cardio the right way, I want

to talk quickly about why excessive amounts

of traditional steady state cardio

can damage your metabolism and your hormones.

There's actually published peer-reviewed studies

showing that excessive amounts of regular cardio

can suppress your thyroid, which is your body's number one

fat-burning gland, can also increase

cortisol, which is your belly fat hormone,

can also increase free radicals.

These are the free radicals that cause disease and can

age your body faster.

It's also been shown to increase your appetite.

And then there was even a study done

that showed people who do excessive amounts of cardio--

really excessive, like marathon runners

and endurance athletes-- actually

are at a seven to nine times greater risk for a heart attack

because excessive amounts of cardio

can cause heart scarring.

Now this doesn't mean that walking

or aerobic, low-intensity cardio isn't beneficial for you.

You just have to make sure that you're doing it the right way

and you're using it sparingly.

So down here, you're going to see a triangle that

says, "no plateaus."

And on this triangle you have three points

and these are the three systems that you

want to access to avoid plateaus when you do cardio.

So the first system is called metabolic bursting.

You're going to want to do this on Tuesdays.

The second system is called threshold.

You going to want to do this on Thursdays.

And then the third system is called

old school, which is just you steady state cardio.

You do want to do it at least one time per week,

and I'll tell you why here in a second.

And you can typically do that on a Saturday or Sunday.

Now you don't have to follow this schedule,

but for fat loss, this is the ideal way

to set up your exercise schedule.

You want to be weight training or resistance

training on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

And then you want to cycle your cardio on Tuesdays, Thursdays,

and Saturdays.

So the first system is called metabolic bursting.

So after you warm up for about five minutes

and you lower insulin levels, this

is what puts your body into a fat burning environment,

you would want to go ahead and engage

in short, high-intensity exercise burst.

Now you can use any cardio machine doing this.

And you either want to use a tabata

or what we call HIIT-- high-intensity interval

training.

Now the tabata protocol is a 20-second exercise burst

with a 10-second rest.

If you do this two times, that equals one minute.

So you're only going to be able to perform about eight

of these for a total of four minutes

before you're toast if you perform them properly.

So what you want to do, based on your current age,

your current condition, you want to go as hard as you can based

on where you're at personally.

For 20 seconds, then you want to rest for 10.

You're going to repeat this seven more

times for a total of four minutes

and then you'll cool down.

Research has shown using this can actually

increase your metabolism for up to 48 hours afterwards.

And there's another method that's very similar to this.

The high-intensity interval training method,

which is just a 30-30 burst.

So you're going to use a 30-second, high-intensity

exercise burst going as hard as you possibly

can based on your current condition,

and then you're going to rest for 30 seconds.

So, again, a five-minute warm up to lower insulin

to keep your body in a fat burning environment,

then a 30-second exercise burst with a 30-second rest.

You're going to repeat this about five times if you're

a beginner or intermediate.

If you're advanced, you can go all the way up

to about 10 times, but remember more

is not better when it comes to high-intensity exercise burst

because if you do it too frequently,

you can cause adrenal fatigue.

So that's why I'm only telling you to do this one day a week.

The second one's called threshold intervals.

Now threshold intervals are lower

in intensity than metabolic bursting,

but higher in intensity than aerobic steady state cardio.

And these are intervals that are 60 seconds all the way up

to three minutes.

So, again, a five-minute warm up to lower insulin,

then you can go ahead and engage in an exercise burst

lasting a minute all the way up to three minutes.

Now you're not going to be able to go

all out like you are over here because the duration is longer.

So you're going to have to monitor

your intensity properly.

But this is the first anaerobic system

that's just above aerobic intensity and just below

metabolic bursting intensity.

And what this does is-- research shows

that when you perform these threshold intervals,

your body responds better to the regular cardio

and to the bursting.

So all three of these systems actually feed each other.

And then the last system is the aerobic steady state system.

And research also shows that having

a base of aerobic endurance-- so brisk

walking on an incline, or steady state jogging, or steady state

cardio for 30 to 45 minutes one time a week, maybe twice max--

is all you need to get the benefits from this system

without causing harm to your metabolism like all

the research that I talked about earlier.

So hopefully this makes sense on how

to cycle your cardio the right way for faster fat loss.

Now if you want a free download that

is based on this philosophy and lays this out in detail,

gives you an exercise chart, somewhere around this video,

there's a link that you can click or tap.

And you can download this free report.

It's called The Over 40 Stubborn Fat Sequence

and it's specifically designed for the hormonal condition

of people over 35 years old.

So if you're in your 40s, your 50s, or your 60s,

you must move differently than younger people.

And things like CrossFit, Insanity, and P90X

are great workouts.

They're very effective, but they're

designed for younger people.

So you must move the right way, and this free report's

going to show you how you can increase growth hormone up

to 700% in just 12 short minutes.

Thanks for watching this and keep going strong.

Quest 3 is out! - Fit for Battle - Duration: 2:30.

Death cultists.. Regular cultists, Dragons, Elementals

Fire beetles, Fire demons, Fire ghouls, FIRE SCORPIONS FIRE SPIDERS-

Yes yes, lots of fire and death, hmm how great for us...

Hi, I'm Joel Turner, one of the creatives behind Fit for Battle

I've got some super exciting stuff to share with you

because quest 3 has finally been released upon the world

and it's called 'VOLCANIC INFERNO'

100 new loot items, 12 new encounters set in a volcano

8 new monsters to slay & a whole bunch of fun along the way.

that rhymed.

But it's not just Quest 3- Volcanic Inferno

we've got 3 awesome new features that are coming out with it

that is going to change the way we run even more

So let's talk about 'Daily Step Loot'

If you like loot, but you don't like running every single day

then this is your feature (reiterates to rabbit)

So the steps that you acrue throught the day

during your normal life- you can now cash that in for a chest.

The more step you do in your day, the better the chest you get

and that chest is full of unique items, loot and ingredients.

Which brings me to my next feature-

'Athletomancy' There's a new kind of loot that you can get now

you get it in quests and you get it in Daily Step Loot

and they're called 'Ingredients'

What you do with those ingredients is that you go to the Athletomancy page

which is in you character sheet

and you can combine these ingredients to summon legendary gear-sets.

If you love kitting out your character and sweet gear

this is awesome.

So the third and final feature is called 'Fun Run'

it's a mode that you can find in the quest screen

and instead of listening to a dwarf and an elf yell at you, and goblins attacking you-

you listen to your own music

You choose your pace. You can get prompted or not

and basically, you can listen to your jams

the best bit is- you get loot at the end of it

Ah Looot...

Why would you run any other way?

Did I mention that quest 3 is like doubling the amount of loot

that is in the game right now

I mean, that's pretty good!

Lastly, I want to say thank you to all the people

that have been playing Fit for Battle

Seriously, tell your friends about it

because the more people we have playing this game

the faster we can release this content and grow

Keep running, and let's all get Fit for Battle

*Roooaaarrr*

I will eat you one and alllll!

Runner!

Get ready Runner, the cyclops comes!

Faster pace

WAS OR WERE (ONE MINUTE ENGLISH L4) - Duration: 1:28.

Hello everyone welcome to this one minute English lesson.

This is actually a new version of the fourth lesson looking at was and were.

I want to try and re-make some of my older videos so they're better quality for you.

If we look at was first.

We use this for singular.

So I was.

He was.

She was and it was.

We use were for plural.

So you were.

We were and they were.

Remember in English we just use 'you' for formal and informal and for one person and

groups of people.

It will always be you were though and we never change these.

It's always going to be as I've told you.

They never change.

So if you remember this it should be a lot easier.

They are simply the past of 'to be'.

So I am.

You are.

I was.

You were.

Hopefully this helps you please let me know by giving it a thumbs up and don't forget

to subscribe.

Thank you!

Bye!

TRUMP'S WEED RACISM | This Shouldn't Be News - Duration: 3:08.

This week's top story: can y'all chill out about weed?

[THEME MUSIC]

In keeping with his tradition of being a total shit show 23 out of 24 hours a day, Donald

Trump's camp has announced a new war on drugs, but not on the drugs that are addictive

or are claiming the lives of Americans.

According to a report by the American Society of Addiction Medicine for 2015 (2016's numbers

aren't prepared yet), more than two and a half MILLION Americans struggle with addiction

to heroin and prescription opioids.

33,000 of those Americans overdosed that year.

But let's not forget the even more attainable and potentially more lethal drug, alcohol,

which claimed eighty-eight thousand lives in 2015 and costs Americans nearly 250 BILLION

dollars annually for the treatment and correction of its abuse.

And yet, Donald Trump has decided to focus on a drug with a near zero chance of addiction

or death.

Weed, the drug with mostly positive side effects on both the human body and our economy is

this dumb ass administration's focus.

They need to take a hit and chill the eff out.

Nearly 76% of doctors worldwide approve of medical marijuana use, with 92% of patients

that use the drug claiming it alleviated their symptoms.

And weed is America's fastest growing industry—growing (ha), by 74%

from 2013 to 2014, and an additional 25% in 2016.

ArcView Market Research predicts that by 2020, legal marijuana will make more money than

the NFL, giving a new meaning to the phrase "superbowl."

So why, pray tell, does the Trump administration want to stop all this progress?

Especially when they claim to be champions of states rights for arbitrary things like

bathroom usage?

And also claim to want to grow our economy and create jobs?

Because their friends in the private prison industry need to fill up their properties

and disproportional drug sentencing of black people from the '80s and '90s made them a lot of money.

It's a lot cheaper to bust a teen with a joint in his pocket and sentence him to 5

to 10 years of jail time than it is to arrest a white heroin addict and then have to pay for treatment

at correctional facilities.

And I know the trolls are going to hate it, so let me be loud and clear when I say how

IRONIC it is that the majority of heroin and opioids abusers are white.

Please take this race-bait, because if you claim to care about white people and you think

I'm the #realracist, then why doesn't it matter to you that the death

rate for white people aged 25 to 34 has increased to the highest level since the Vietnam War

and yet continues to decline for people of color?

Why doesn't it matter to this administration?

I'm talking about white people from every socioeconomic class being affected by a deadly

epidemic, but Trump is the candidate for the white working class?

I'd have to be high to understand that logic.

This administration doesn't care about public health, addiction, or the spread of disease.

Their newfound war on SOME drugs proves that.

I'm Akilah Hughes and this shouldn't be news!

HAVE CHANGED THROUGH THE YEARS. THAT'S CERTAINLY ONE OF THEM.

>> I DO. LAST TIME THE UNITED STATES

DECLARED WAR WAS JUNE 5th, 1942, ON HUNGARY, ROMANIA AND

SOMEWHERE ELSE. IT WAS TIDYING UP WORLD WAR II.

THOSE MISSILES FLEW 100 YEARS TO THE DAY WE DECLARED WAR ON

GERMANY. THAT STARTED WITH A SMALL PISTOL

SHOT IN SEREJEVO. WE'RE COUNTING ON THEM TO NOT

HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THAT'S VERY RISKY.

>> JOHN HEILMAN SO MUCH TO TRY TO DIGEST FROM YESTERDAY WHETHER

YOU TALK ABOUT THE ATTACKS AGAINST SYRIA OR YOU TALK ABOUT

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH GOGORSUCH, NUNES.

BUT YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN COVERING THE HILL FOR THE PAST SEVERAL

WEEKS FOR SHOW TIME, FOR THE CIRCUS.

WHAT HAVE YOU SEEN UP CLOSE? WE SIT AROUND THE TABLE AND TALK

ABOUT THIS EVERY DAY. YOU'VE BEEN IN THE BELLY OF THE

BEAST FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. >> THE LEVEL OF PARTISANSHIP IS

EXTRAORDINARILY HIGH. THERE'S A LEVEL OF ACTIVITY THAT

IS FRANTIC WITH THREE HEADS OF STATE IN THE COUNTRY VISITING

WITH THE SYRIAN MISSILE STRIKE, WITH THE GORSUCH CONFIRMATION,

WITH NUNES, BANNON'S DEMOTION FROM NSC, EASILY THE MOST

EVENTFUL WEEK OF THE YOUNG TRUMP PRESIDENCY.

THE STEADY STATE STORY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE TIME HAS

BEEN RUSSIA. IT'S BEEN THE THING THAT HAS

HOVERED OVER TRUMP THROUGHOUT HIS PRESIDENCY SO FAR.

I WANT TO ASK SENATOR COONS ABOUT THAT.

I SAW HIM YESTERDAY AT THE BROOKINGS INSTITUTE.

RIGHT AT THE MOMENT WHEN THE ANNOUNCEMENT HAPPENED THAT

CONGRESSMAN NUNES WAS STEPPING ASIDE AS CHAIRMAN OF THE HOUSE

INTEL COMMITTEE. SENATOR COONS, DO YOU THINK THAT

THE HOUSE COMMITTEE NOW HAS ANY CHANCE WITH NUNES OUT OF

REGAINING ITS CREDIBILITY, WHICH HAD BEEN SO BADLY BLOWN OVER THE

LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS? >> I'M HOPEFUL THAT THAT'S

WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. THERE ARE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE

INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE I SPOKE WITH, TOO, YESTERDAY, WHO

RECOGNIZE THAT THEIR ROLE IN OVERSIGHT, THAT THEIR ROLE AS AN

EQUAL CHAMBER OF THE CONGRESS WITH THE SENATE WAS REALLY

COMPROMISED BY CONGRESSMAN NUNES.

AND SO I THINK THEY'RE EAGER TO STEP FORWARD AND DEMONSTRATE

THEY CAN BE RESPONSIBLE. I'M ENCOURAGED BY HOW THE SENATE

INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE IS PROGRESSING IN A BIPARTISAN WAY.

FRANKLY, MANY OF MY COLLEAGUES HAVE ALREADY CALLED FOR A NEWLY

CREATED INDEPENDENT COMMISSION OR A SPECIAL COMMITTEE.

THAT WOULD TAKE US OFF TRACK FOR SIX MONTHS WHILE LEGISLATION IS

PASSED, NEW STAFF IS PUT IN PLACE, NEW PROCEDURES SET UP.

WE NEED TO FOCUS ON THE FUNCTIONING COMMITTEE THAT WE

HAVE, SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE THAT'S MAKING PROGRESS

IN THIS IMPORTANT INVESTIGATION TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF ALL THE

ALLEGATIONS ABOUT POTENTIAL COORDINATION BETWEEN THE TRUMP

CAMPAIGN AND RUSSIA IN THE INTERFERENCE IN OUR LAST

ELECTION. >> GEORGE WILL, WAS IT A WISE

DECISION FOR NUNES TO STEP DOWN, AT LEAST IN THE LIMITED ROLE OF

THE RUSSIAN INVESTIGATION? >> SURE.

HE HAD BECOME THE STAR. IF WE'RE GOING TO MAKE CONGRESS

GREAT AGAIN, CONGRESS HAS TO DEMONSTRATE THAT IT CAN CONDUCT

OVERSIGHT IN INVESTIGATIONS. THAT'S A GOOD BIT OF WHAT

CONGRESS DOES. >> AND EVERYBODY CALLING FOR

SPECIAL INVESTIGATORS. I'M SORRY, I THINK OF LAWRENCE

WALSH DROPPING INFORMATION TWO OR THREE DAYS BEFORE THE 1992

ELECTION. PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT THAT

SOMEHOW REMOVES POLITICS FROM INVESTIGATIONS HAS A VERY SHORT

VIEW OF HISTORY. >> THEY ALL DEVELOP A GREAT

WHITE WHALE SYNDROME, THAT THEY HAVE TO GET THEIR PREY.

AND IT BECOMES DISTORTING TO THEM.

IT DISTORTS THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. IT'S ANOTHER FORFEITURE ON THE

PART OF CONGRESS OF ITS RESPONSIBILITIES.

THEY'RE CLEAR. >> AS WE CLOSE, ONE BIT OF NEWS

FROM YOU, SENATOR COONS. YOU AND SRNT COLLINS ARE

DELIVERING A LETTER TO LEADERS SCHUMER AND McCONNELL URGING

THEM TO PRESERVE THE 60-VOTE THRESHOLD FOR CONFIRMATION.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> THANK YOU AS ALWAYS.

>> FOR BEING ON THE SHOW AND GEORGE WILL, THANK YOU AS WELL.

Germany Passes Bill To Fine FaceBook, Twitter Up To $50MM For "fake news" - politics - Duration: 6:15.

Germany Passes Bill To Fine FaceBook, Twitter Up To $50MM For "Fake News"

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has apparently decided she's not willing to take the chance

of becoming the latest politician to fall victim to the same "Russian hacking" and "fake

news" campaigns which 'undoubtedly' caused the downfall of America's liberal darling,

Hillary Clinton (forget those pay-for-play scandals, federal record retention violations

and willful non-compliance with Congressional subpeonas...total non-factors in the 2016

election).

And since they can't really control the actions of those pesky 'Russian hackers," Germany's

cabinet has instead decided to pass legislation that would impose serious fines of up to 50

million Euros on any social networks that fail to swiftly remove content that could

be deemed "hateful" or "fake news."

Germany's Cabinet on Wednesday approved a new bill that punishes social networking sites

if they fail to swiftly remove illegal content such as hate speech or defamatory fake news.

Chancellor Angela Merkel's Cabinet agreed on rules that would impose fines of up to

50 million euros (53.4 million dollars) on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.

German Justice Minister Heiko Maas said that the companies offering such online platforms

are responsible for removing hateful content. He said the new bill would not restrict the

freedom of expression, but intervene only when criminal hatred or intentionally false

news are posted. Of course, all of this begs the question of

exactly how German officials define "fake news" as the lines between what is pure 'fact'

versus 'opinion' often grow very blurred in politics. Moreover, politicians themselves

are often the biggest purveyors of "fake news"...so if someone quotes the erroneous comments of

a German politician on FaceBook is the social network then liable? All questions that would

have seemed silly just a year ago...

Nevertheless, German Justice Minister Heiko Maas is convinced that "verbal radicalization"

of snowflakes over twitter and Facebook is often a precursor to "physical violence."

Social networks need to ensure that obviously criminal content as defined by German

law will be deleted within 24 hours and other illegal content after seven days.

"Just like on the streets, there is also no room for criminal incitement on social networks,"

Maas said.

"The internet affects the culture of debate and the atmosphere in our society. Verbal

radicalization is often a preliminary stage to physical violence," he added.

But nevermind the actual 'radicalization' occurring in migrant communities throughout

Europe at the moment...that is also just "fake news."

As we noted last week, Assemblyman Ed Chau (D-Monterey Park) recently introduced a similar

piece of legislation in California, the so-called "California Political Cyberfraud Abatement

Act" or AB 1104 for short, that would have effectively made it a crime to be wrong on

the Internet. The text of the bill implicated anyone who writes, publishes or even shares

news stories that could be false, if those news stories are later found to have had an

impact on an election. From the bill:

This bill would modify the definition of the terms political cyberfraud and political

Web site to include Internet Web sites that urge or appear to urge the support or

opposition of candidates for public office. The bill would also make it unlawful for a

person to knowingly and willingly make, publish or circulate on a Web site, or cause to be

made, published, or circulated in any writing posted on a Web site, a false or deceptive

statement designed to influence the vote on any issue submitted to voters at an election

or on any candidate for election to public office.

And even though author Ed Chau described AB 1104 as "an important step forward in the

fight against 'fake news' and deceptive campaign tactics", the Electronic Frontier Foundation

(EFF), a digital-rights advocacy group, said the bill was so obviously unconstitutional,

we had to double check that it was real.

Memo to California Assemblymember Ed Chau: you cant fight fake news with a bad law.

On Tuesday, the California Assemblys Committee on Privacy and Consumer Affairs, which Chau

chairs, will consider A.B. 1104a censorship bill so obviously unconstitutional, we had

to double check that it was real.

This bill will fuel a chaotic free-for-all of mudslinging with candidates and others

being accused of crimes at the slightest hint of hyperbole, exaggeration, poetic license,

or common error. While those accusations may not ultimately hold up, politically motivated

prosecutionsor the threat of suchmay harm democracy more than if the issue had

just been left alone. Furthermore, A.B. 1104 makes no exception for satire and parody,

leaving The Onion and Saturday Night Live open to accusations of illegal content. Nor

does it exempt news organizations who quote deceptive statements made by politicians in

their online reportingeven if their reporting is meant to debunk those claims. And what

of everyday citizens who are duped by misleading materials: if 1,000 Californians retweet an

incorrect statement by a presidential candidate, have they all broken the law?

At a time when political leaders are promoting alternative facts and branding unflattering

reporting as fake news, we dont think its a good idea to give the government

more power to punish speech. But, unlike in Germany, California actually

realized how idiotic their bill was before passing it into law...

Chopped Style Challenge @ 80/10/10 Culinary Skills Week - Duration: 6:00.

Tonight's the first night that the

Culinary Skills Weak attendees will be

in the kitchen on their own. I've broken

them up into three groups of three and

they're going to be making dinner for

five people. I've given them some six

different ingredients along with their

choice of one fresh herb and one

specialty item. So they'll get in the

kitchen with their ingredients and see

what they can come up with.

I'm seeing orange buckland herbs and I didn't know

what herb that is.

So I'm saying by putting a few leaves it gives a new color.

Maybe then I would use the other mushrooms in the soup.

We've got the oranges, peaches we've

got to decide there quite small.

And you have a condition you have to use it.

Hello this is the Team Plum. And we

made a three-course meal starting with a

peach-orange-spinach smoothie, creamy and

delicious. And then we have a crunchy

tricolor sun-dried tomato mushroom wrap

with peachy sauce and for the third course

we have an Israeli Salad with

tomatoes cucumber a hint of lemon and

dill. And that's it for today

Good Evening tonight a group of three,

Michael, Eva, and myself have prepared a

delicious meal the first course is a

organic Valencia orange juice blended

with a touch of basil and baby spinach

our second course is cucumber wraps with

with a filling of peach and just a touch

of baby spinach to whet the appetite and

our third course consists of a bed of

cucumber noodles topped with chunky

heirloom tomatoes cremini mushrooms both

fresh and dehydrated. We have garnished

that with a source of nectarines and

baby tomatoes. Enjoy!

Our drink tonight is a blend of juicy

fresh oranges and peaches with a hint of

spinach and dill to give it a creamy yes

for our second course we have

multicolored heirloom tomatoes with sliced

peaches and a drizzle of plum puree

for our entree we have cucumber pasta

with a rich earthy spinach and mushroom

in tomato sauce enhanced by colorful

accents.

Tonight went really well. Everything worked smoothly. They worked

well as teams together and dinner came

out on time so I'm interested to see how

they'll do for their next assignment.

In a perfect world, mushroom and tomato

together tastes like this.

It's Just Divine.

Excellent.

It's really wonderful to see

like all the different things that people

make with the same ingredients.

They are all so different but all really great.

Amazing! Israeli Salad! These tomatoes just melt in your mouth. So soft.

Just delicious, a little bit of dill...perfect.

Come create with us this year at Culinary Skills Week.

BH4U | 7 Signs Of Cervical Cancer That Women Need To Observe - Duration: 5:28.

[music]

7 Signs Of Cervical Cancer That Women Need To Observe

One of the most fatal gynecological cancer types is cervical cancer.

This type of cancer has a high rate of successful treatment, of course, if it has been detected

in an early phase.

The human papilloma virus (HPV) is the most common cause of cervical cancer, a virus that

is highly contagious, due to the fact that it is sexually transmitted and comes in more

than hundred types.

Some of these types contribute to the development of cervical cancer.

Maintaining a strong immune system will help you get rid of HPV.

However, if one does not have a strong immune system, it may stimulate abnormal cell growth

resulting in cervical malignancy.

Even though this type of cancer does not have some obvious symptoms like breast cancer does,

it can still be detected early if one knows what signs to look for.

If you have any of the following symptoms, visit a gynecologist right away.

1.

Unusual discharge

The unusual discharge is one of the commonest symptoms of cervical cancer as once the cancer

begins growing inside the cervix, the cells of the uterine lining begin secreting watery

discharge.

2.

Warts

According to Rosa Maria Leme, a gynecologist, the appearance of small warts (external or

internal) is a red flag for some diseases, including HPV, which greatly raises the chances

of cervical cancer in women.

3.

Pain or bleeding

If you start feeling discomfort in the pelvic area or you notice bleeding, it may be a sign

of cervical cancer, meaning that the walls of the cervix are dry or even cracked due

to the abnormal cell growth.

Sometimes, especially in the more advanced stages, rectal or bladder bleeding may appear.

If you bleed beyond the menstrual period, you need to get an immediate medical help

or consultation.

4.

Anemia

This is a common sign of cervical cancer, as anemia is often caused by excessive bleeding,

another sign of this type of cancer.

In case you start feeling constantly tired, or you notice that your heartbeat rate increases

even at the slightest effort, and your eating habits have not changed, then you need to

get tested for anemia and the reason that caused it in the first place.

5.

Urinary problems

If you notice that you have difficulties while urinating, it can mean that you have developed

cervical cancer, as this condition adds to swelling of the cervix, and then it presses

the bladder and kidneys, impeding the passage of urine.

As a result, the bladder becomes unable to get completely empty, and it causes pain while

you urinate and/or a urinary tract infection.

6.

Continuous pain in the legs, hips or back

When the cervix is swollen, the effects of it are noticeable on the integral organs in

general, not only on the kidneys and the bladder.

This condition can put pressure on the blood vessels and stop the blood flow to the pelvis

and the legs, thus causing pain and swelling in the legs and ankles.

7.

Weight loss

When one suffers from any type of cancer, they lose their appetite and weight.

When one suffers from cervical cancer, their swollen cervix puts pressure on the stomach,

and this leads to appetite and weight loss.

Note.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that the symptoms we just mentioned can also be produced by

other conditions.

Still, you are recommended to report them to your gynecologist, as this is essential

for early detection.

The list of risk factors that can contribute to contracting an HPV infection often found

in both men and women is long.

Still, here we present you the best-known risk factors for cervical cancer:

Having multiple sexual partners Having unprotected sex

Having weak immune system Smoking or inhaling second-hand smoke

As we already mentioned at the beginning of the video, an HPV infection is the root cause

of cervical cancer.

Every woman is recommended to make regular Pap smear tests once or twice a year, and

thus increase their chances of early detection.

Home to mangrove forests

We took a boat out, to spot some wildlife

In particular, we were looking for Antillean manatees

Otherwise known as, "Sea Cows"

They were hunted, right

Now they're protected

But they're endangered

Very, very vulnerable species

Manatees are mammals

Right, so

They feed their babies

This is actually where the word manatee comes from

So usually when you see

A family, there's a baby there

Little manatees stay with the mother

for about four years

They can live up to 80 years

just like a human, right

We later stumbled on some trees absolutely covered

in Frigatebirds

This is where they gathered to hangout

and to mate.

We followed a green sea turtle

to a shallow reef

Where we snorkeled

And we finished the day, playing in a tropical paradise

I left Mexico the following day

Saying goodbye to Jenna

Jen's leaving!

No you're leaving...

I'm leaving

Off to Belize, to search for the next species

So, stay tuned everyone

It's gonna be a wild time

I don't know what's to come

But, I have a good feeling about it
