The SKS as a California compliant defense rifle? - Duration: 14:39.

Hi. This is Joel Persinger. I'm the GunGuy.

Thank you very much for watching my

videos I really do seriously appreciate

it I've been asked a number of times by

you know through email and comments and

on Twitter and Facebook and everywhere

else what I think might be a good

suitable rifle for restrictive states

like California and specifically I've

been asked a number of times whether a

great rifle for restrictive states where

you know there's magazine restrictions

and they don't like detachable magazines

and that kind of thing might be an SKS

rifle like this one so I've got a couple

of them here at borrowed from a friend

who's a collector this is one without an

optic on it and just to show you that

you can mount an optic on an SKS here's

one that does have a cheapy optic on it

which I I couldn't find out who made it

because it just couldn't figure it out

but the guy that owns it told me it

caused him about 40 bucks or 35 or 40

bucks for it's got a little kind of

illuminated scope on it but isn't too

bad before I get into these let me thank

some patreon people I know if you're not

a patreon person this probably gets

redundant but nevertheless i want to

thank them because they're helping us

out trip 426 Thank You Todd d gustavo

nicholas h alexander be mike h ave

enough the Yankee marshal thank you very

much brother I love your show so you're

much funnier than I and I love your

channel so I appreciate it thank you for

the contribution James k Kenneth G and

Jason D does this mean that I need to

contribute to the Yankee marshal channel

it probably does so maybe i will see if

he's got a patreon page maybe we'll do

it all right back to these real quick

let's talk about these these are great

rifles so in my humble opinion i was

asked are these great defensive rifles

and restrictive States I'm going to tell

you I think these are great the great

defensive rifles anywhere these were

designed a long time ago you're talking

1943 when the design was a you know

really finished more or less they went

in service for a short time they were

discontinued by the Soviets in the early

50s because they had the ak-47 and they

they liked that better however these

things were made by Soviet bloc

countries all over the world i mean

there's millions of them the Soviets

themselves made almost

a million of the stupid things they

still use them in Russia I think as

ceremonial weapons much the way we shall

use the m1 garand with you know with

honor guards and that kind of stuff and

you'll still find them in service in

very many places I have many friends

because of my age who served in Vietnam

and they saw these all over the place I

think they're probably still found in

other places where we're fighting

Afghanistan Iraq and so on I've never

been to either this place or so I don't

know you would know more than I but I

can tell you there's sort of a

ubiquitous rifle every country you go to

you find these they're really a good

rifle for a lot of things they're used

for hunting and other things in

different countries but there are some

limitations to them so let's talk about

those it is not a modern design in the

sense that it's got a fixed magazine you

can open it up if you pull in the gate

and dump the rounds out if you want to

do that and when you want to clear it

but once it's closed up it's a fixed

magazine and it's fed using either one

router at a time or a stripper clip that

fits in that little notch right there

and then you push them down they'll go

in okay so you can do that they get 10

round stripper clip 10 round fixed

magazine that means loading it is going

to be a little slower for you on reloads

here's the other issue with a modern

rifle if you've got the rifle mounted

and you're in the middle of the fight

you can deal with all the things that

you need to do to reload the rifle front

under here you don't have to do it with

your shooting hand you can do it with

your support hand that's not going to be

possible here I mean I don't know of a

way to do it which means the gun has to

come off your shoulder in order to be

reloaded so that you can take your

stripper clip or one round at a time or

how are you going to do it and shove

them down in there and if you're in the

middle of a firefight there's a lot of

stress associated with that my hope is

that you're behind cover I wouldn't

suggest no matter what kind of rifle

you've got standing out in the open

that's just the recipe for getting shot

killed whatever but this is stuff you're

going to have to do probably behind

cover so you want to plan for that and

then the stripper clips are kind of a

burger to load you're going to lose them

along the way much like you would a

magazine it's a lot easier to manage

magazines to than it is clips once you

push it you're going to drop it it's

gone and if you're worried about the

zombie apocalypse or something sooner or

later you're not going to have any more

and then you're loading at one round at

a time so that is an issue with the

rifle personally as a civilian defensive

arm

I think that's a minor consideration the

rifles do hit hard they shoot the 7.62 x

39 round same thing as an AK it hits

harder than a 556 for sure it'll crash

through a block wall I've better than a

556 will comes with its own ready to

ready to use ban it I just like those I

think they're cool I don't know if I'm

going to be doing any been at charges in

my life but I just think they're neat

because I like knives as well this one

does not have a an optic on it and we

took it to the range i shot it quite a

bit without the optic and then this one

I shot with the optic and honestly there

was a little bit of a difference as far

as performance was concerned and

accuracy but let me talk about accuracy

with these cognitive rifles because I

hear it all the time these get bagged on

one stool on the Ruger mini-14 gets

bagged on that's not not at war rifle

but these things have been used in wars

and conflicts all over the world these

things are combat accurate so you're not

going to get a rifle that stacks rounds

on tell you don't got to drive nails

with it you're not going to keep every

round in a little you know area the size

of a quarter at 100 yards not going to

happen it's a three MOA to six mo a gun

depending on the gun you're going to get

it it's going to give you about a three

inch pattern at 100 yards to maybe a six

or eight inch pattern 100 yards it

depends on the animal it depends on the

gun and it depends on the shooter and it

depends on the siding mechanism you put

a little red dot on it or something it's

going to be better it's going to be

easier but it's still going to be combat

accurate at a hundred yards if you are

putting every round in an area this big

okay that's not minute of angle minute

of angle would be everything within an

inch but that certainly is minute of

enemy certainly as minute a bad guy if

you can do that at a hundred yards you

clobbered the bad guy if you can do that

at a hundred yard at two hundred yards

you've clobbered the bad guy and that is

what the rifle was designed to do that's

what the mini-14 really was designed to

do as a ranch rifle it was designed to

clobber stuff you know that was big

enough that you can hit it if you can

hit it on a on a paper plate at a

hundred yards or 200 yards well that's

what they're for so they're not ar-15s

you can't load them like that they're

not they're not a lot of things and

people criticize them because they're

not

they're not they're not I'm going to

tell you what they are they are an

extremely reliable uber reliable handy

little carbine with its own pokey stabby

thing at the end that shoots a powerful

cartridge is extremely fun to shoot the

ammunition is very inexpensive its

combat accurate and frankly unless

you're facing a horde of zombies I would

suspect this thing is going to get the

job done now we did take them to the

range so let me show you how well they

perform they're talking about these

rifles and shooting them is two

different things talking about them as a

lot of fun but shooting them is an

enormous amount of fun these are great

little carbines they shoot extremely

well these were russian-made I think and

the triggers on them weren't bad I

started with the one without the optic

on it and this blue target is a bit of a

story I kept posting my target up on top

of this blue one that happened to be on

the cardboard and it kept blowin off in

the wind so I finally just decided to

shoot at that target you'll notice my

target is laying on its space they're

off to the left and that we had to go

stick it back up there again what I

discovered the minute I put that target

up is that I had black sites up against

a black background and it was tough to

find the sights let alone light them up

so I have a couple of fliers that are

high that I think are as a result of

that the rest of them were in a fairly

decent grouping for the distance which

arguably isn't you know 300 yards out

there but it was about 75 80 yards

something like that and and ended up

with a decent group particularly for a

guy who couldn't see the sights very

well once i got them lined up so it

seemed like a rifle shot very well by

the way we didn't have a single failure

all day and I shot those rifles a lot

and they just ran and ran and ran like a

Swiss watch now as you look you'll see

on the target I had a couple of flyers

high left and then I had a little bit of

a group around the to the left of the

bullseye there and I had three that were

low so if you take that group and

eliminate the fliers on that on the high

left you have about a five or six inch

group there it's probably more like six

and a half inches and then it's about

nine or ten inches if you include the

Flyers so I busted out the rifle with

the object

now I should tell you that when I'm

shooting someone else's guns I don't

adjust the sights because I don't know

what they want to do with it so I have

people get upset with me and say sign in

your rifle first or something well it

wasn't my rifle I did not change the

sights I was looking more for where is

it grouping and what are the groups like

then this particular rifle shot to the

left I'm sorry I misspoke shot to the

right and what you'll find is as you

look at that grouping on the right there

to the right of the red bull's eye you

have that group of ten shots and that

was about four and a half inches which

is not bad it's a bit of an improvement

with the optic just made the rifle so

much more accurate and then frankly I

just shot him a lot and I shot the one

with the optic I shot the one without

the optic I just burned through a lot of

ammunition because I had the opportunity

these are great little carbines and they

are a lot of fun to shoot so the

question essentially was is an SKS rifle

a good defensive rifle in cases where I

live in a state like California that is

highly restrictive of semi-automatic

rifles that might be useful in a fight

the answer to the question is absolutely

is it perfect for that no no rifle is

even the most modern fighting rifle is

not perfect is it old yes is it got it

hasn't got a Woodstock yes is it a

little heavier yeah is it got a

detachable magazine no but that's

precisely why it's very positive for

states like this is it better than an m1

garand or Durant that's what I get asked

you the answer would be no I I don't

know that one is better than the other

they're both similar types of rifles

they feed a little differently this uses

a stripper clip the garand your garand

uses an end block clip and the clip goes

with it I would say the garand is a

little easier to load faster you're

going to build unless you practice a lot

but again it's what rifle be owned if

mrs. the rifle that you buying this is a

rifle that you own get a bunch of ammo

and go train with it train with it train

with it train with the train with it and

it's going to serve you very well both

the garand which will have other videos

on and the SKS are outstanding fighting

rifles

and there's no there's nothing to beat

them up about now one thing I would

mention is that you can get a mount let

me show you to put an optic on it and

one of the issues with these older

rifles is mounting optics and that kind

of stuff but this mount which I'll see

if I can figure out who made it and if I

cannot put it in the description I don't

know but I'll see if I can figure it out

this mount would work very well but I

urge you to put a red dot or something

on it rather than a scope because the

one issue with this rifle is the scope

comes out so far that it blocks the

loading ramp or whatever it's called for

the stripper clip so I can't get the

stripper clip in to load it and I had to

load this one one round at a time that

said the fact that i had an optic made

it easier for me to see the target and

easier to get on the target quickly i

would just put a smaller red dot on it

that you know up to 100 yards 200 yards

it's going to be beautiful and you're

going to be able to put the rounds on

target even at night that was the one

addition I would make so if I can figure

out where this mount came from and who

made it and how it works I'll see if I

can get a link for you to that but just

know that if you even if I can't find

the link if you search around you'll be

able to find a mount to put a red dot

optic or something on an SKS great

rifles if you're expecting to be nail

drivers are not if you're expecting to

be sturdy reliable strong combat rifles

you can use for defense they're a great

choice they're an outstanding choice I

have one major issue with the SKS rifle

and only one and i will share that with

you is right now here's this i don't own

one which i did i really like them but I

don't know one neither one of these are

mine these will belong to a buddy and

unfortunately he requires me to give

them back anyway thank you very much for

Why Face and Neck Lifting also Need Volume Correction and Skin Improvement for Best Results - Duration: 10:55.

Thank you for question. You submitted a single photo showing the lower

part of your face and neck and you stated in your question that you have a scar under

your chin after having Mohs surgery, and that you've gone through several consultations

and you've been essentially overwhelmed by the different names and the terms relating

to the best face and neck lift procedure for you which results in of course confusion and

you're looking for some guidance. Well I can certainly help you with this question.

A little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeon I've been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island

for over 20 years. Face and neck face lifting surgery has been

a significant part of my surgical practice over the many years I have been in practice

and I can certainly share with you, many of the challenges there are in how people make

these decisions and what the options are in front of them. So let's begin with just

understanding what the essential problem is and in the absence of a physical exam there

is still a certain limit in what recommendations can be provided but the reality of face and

neck lifting surgery has been kind of an evolution over the course of the past 20 to 30 years

in what the outcomes will be and how to get the most longevity and do it the safest way

in the most predictable way. Now on top of that I would also add that there

is really a much greater awareness and understanding of facial aging that is not just the result

of sagging. That also there is a greater understanding of the volume loss that is related to bone

loss, muscle, fat, soft tissue and skin. So I can tell you that in my own career that

when I first was training in facial cosmetic surgery, for a surgeon the goal was to lift

as significantly as one can while maintaining a natural appearance and understanding that

a certain amount of tissue elasticity would cause a certain degree of regression. And

I think one of the things about being an experienced surgeon is that you want to understand that

regardless of the technique regardless of the name regardless of the plane or the level

in depth of the technique there's a certain amount of relaxation that invariably occurs

and that there's a certain amount of tissue stretch skin soft tissue.

And so it's very important to also understand that in the end, what has been basically the

evolution. In my practice I do my procedures to get the maximum amount of lift with minimal

surgical time as well as quickest recovery for the patient. And I think that has essentially

evolved a lot not only just for myself, but for many of my colleagues. And I've noted

for myself how many of the people who are let's say a couple of decades older than

I am who I learned a lot from, kind of went from doing more aggressive surgeries to kind

of coming back to what I see are very similar methods that I do. And so that we've kind

of all arrived to a place where essentially we have to meet the needs of a modern person

and understand that surgery is one part of the overall solution.

So I would say that from the way I would approach a patient like yourself, after physical examination

and evaluation. I would say that I would do as appropriate face and neck lifting surgery,

without any name or brand name or anything like that, under local anesthesia with LITE™

IV sedation. And that I would also communicate with you and understand that there are certain

areas in the face that has volume loss that you just can't lift aggressively enough

to hide. So I would say there's a kind of a twofold approach you approach the lift to

restore position of sagging tissue, you then do volume correction to restore volume loss.

So I'll try to explain that now there's certainly ways to do that but I would say

my goal with volume correction is to do things that are predictable consistent and are able

to allow for minimal downtime. And so generally I show my patients that area of like the jowl

is a very important area to understand when you lift the skin and you still see the notch

or the indentation, people think the jowl is still there, but no It's called the mandibular

notch in that area where the bone is a little bit deep or resorbs. That's an area where

a filler can be of benefit. When you look at the midface the cheeks tend to be more

hollow so you don't want to just lift but to restore volume so there's an art.

There's an art to doing this and with your situation a scenario where there's a little

bit of skin shortage to a degree after undergoing Mohs surgery that also has to be factored

in. Last but not least is also understanding the best way to improve skin texture, tone,

and quality that's not about lifting. That's where technology such as the use of platelet-rich

plasma, this is derived from your blood, or other ways to help regenerate skin quality.

So now we are differentiating skin quality from skin quantity and the use of possibly

thermal energy devices and lasers. So essentially I feel like in my own practice to help my

patients understand and what I provide is a more comprehensive and solutions for the

different elements of what a patient needs. So thinking in terms of overall philosophy

yes face and neck lifting for repositioning, then volume correction to restore volume where

volume is lost, and improving skin texture tone and quality with the many tools we have

for that. And so it is understandable that you have

saturation and brand confusion, but when you understand these basic principles of reposition,

re-volumize and then improve texture and quality of the skin then you kind of understand the

global strategy and that one operation or one procedure is not the solution to all elements

of facial aging. So I think what you should do is meet with doctors, and you've already

done that, but with this kind of approach look for an approach that I feel from my perspective

is going to be the safest for you have the most predictable surgical result and give

you the recovery time so that you go back to your normal life as quickly as possible.

I think gone are the days for most people who actually work and have many responsibilities

where you can have a very long prolonged like one month plus recovery time. In the modern

world even for my patients that I do face and neck surgery and laser and other things

people need to get back to work and so I would tell them to give yourself a week to ten days

and depending on the extent of the face and neck lifting surgery I am doing so they should

get back to work and not draw attention. So I think that is also very very important guiding

principle which is why some of these short scar and other procedures have come about

but at the same time you would still want the longevity and benefit of good quality

procedure. So again think repositioning, volumizing and then skin quality and texture improvement.

So I hope that was helpful I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.

Prosecutors questioning Park for second time at Seoul Detention Center - Duration: 2:05.

Prosecutors investigating the massive corruption scandal that has been gripping South Korea

for months are today, for the second time, interrogating former President Park Geun-hye

at the Seoul Detention Center.

It's expected they will also seek to extend Park's detention.

Our Hwang Hojun reports.

A week after her arrest and just two days after round one,... prosecutors started their

second round of questioning of Park Geun-hye on Thursday morning.

The session is again being led by chief prosecutor Han Woong-jae, who oversaw both the Tuesday

session and the one at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office two weeks ago before Park's

arrest.

Park is currently facing 13 charges.

Thursday's interrogation is expected to focus on the possible collusion between Park and

her confidante Choi Soon-sil in extorting more than 70 million U.S. dollars from conglomerates,

and in particular Samsung Electronics.

Prosecutors are also expected to ask her about her orders to former presidential aide Ahn

Jong-beom in relation to the two foundations controlled by Choi, and Park's role in the

creation and execution of a blacklist of cultural figures critical of the government.

During Tuesday's session, prosecutors questioned Park on the extortion and collusion charges,

which she reportedly denied, saying she was conspired against and did not know about Choi's

activities in pursuit of her own personal interest.

The session started at 10 a.m. continued until around 6 p.m., but it took another hour and

a half for Park to review the records of her statements.

Given the strict schedule at the detention center, it is likely Thursday's interrogation

will proceed on a similar schedule.

An official with the investigative team indicated on Wednesday that they may file a request

to extend Park's ten-day detention period.

If granted, prosecutors would be allowed to keep Park in detention for another ten days,

meaning they would have until April 19th to continue their investigation and file formal

charges against her.

Meanwhile, Choi Soon-sil, who was being held at the same detention center as Park, was

moved on Thursday to the Seoul Nambu Detention Center about 20 kilometers away to prevent

contact between the two.

Can I Join Your Mentor Phone Calls? - Duration: 4:23.

Hey, it's Joe Crump.

Got another question here.

This is from Maria Carter.

She says, "Welcome back.

Can I join your call?"

I think she's talking about my mentor calls.

Every two weeks I have calls with my mentor, and we do, or with my mentor students and

we, all I do is answer questions on those calls.

There's, you know, we have, I have about 120 mentor students that I go through every year.

That means we have about 60 people involved in the program, 60, 70 people involved in

the program at any particular time.

On these conference calls, there's probably an average of 15 or 20 or 30 people that show

up on these calls and I answer their questions.

And we record the calls so everybody else can listen to it if they weren't able to make

the call.

But the most valuable thing about this program is them being able to get on those calls and

ask me questions about deals they're working on, with problems they're having, the challenges

they're facing, and letting me help them through that process and giving them direction on

what to focus on and what to ignore.

So, that's an important part of the mentor process.

But you have to be in the mentor program to be able to come on those calls.

So, I apologize for not allowing that.

It just wouldn't make sense.

I try to not get overboard on how many people, how many students I take in to this mentor

program so that I can personally talk to everyone.

And the only times that we actually talk in the mentor program is on those calls and at

the buying events that I do three times a year.

I also take emails every day from people, and I'm pretty good about getting back with

people within 24 business hours.

You know, I don't work on holidays or weekends.

But I'm pretty good about getting back with 24 business hours with my mentor students

with their questions.

But those are the only people that I answer real estate questions for.

Every once in a while somebody will send me a question and I'll answer it, but that's

pretty rare.

It's simply a time issue for me.

So I ask them to get involved in the mentor program if they have real questions for me.

The other question she had here is, "Is our new CRM finished?

Last time I looked it was just half-way finished."

Yes.

All the new, if you've been in the system for a while, there's a button that you can

press, is upgrade to the new CRM.

If you haven't been there for a while, or if you're fairly new, then when you built

it, it built you with the new CRM.

The new CRM has lots of new capabilities, it's a very cool system.

It doesn't have a lot of great tutorials yet, so I apologize for that, but we're working

on that, and, but it makes it very easy to follow up with your leads and keep them in

a pipeline which is very important in this process, and ultimately to be able to outsource

that work to someone else.

Because you don't want to have to be doing that your entire career.

That's not the most fun part of this process.

Learning how to talk to your sellers is going to be the most important thing you could do

when you're getting started, and most of you are going to be in that place right now, still

learning how to do that.

Once you've learned how to do that, then you can start automating and outsourcing everything

that you do.

And if you start with automation, if you start with this process of, you know, bringing in

the leads and making it easier for you to follow up, it's going to make your job a lot

easier.

But you could still do this without the Automarketer.

You can do it, you know, you can go to Amazon, I've got a book called Automated Real Estate

Investing, and it teaches the same for rent method that I teach my mentor students getting

started.

And you can do this without the Automarketer.

You don't have to pay me anything.

You can, it's $3.00 on Amazon for this book you can download.

Automating your business is the most important part of this process once you learn how to

talk to sellers and are able to put deals together.

It's nice to have the Automarketer from the get go because it'll make you, it'll bring

you leads in that you can talk to, it'll also give you credibility because you've got a

website that, you know, these days a website is like a brick and mortar store used to be.

It gives you credibility and people believe that you've got a real business because you've

got a website.

So all that stuff will be helpful to you.

Anyway, I hope that answers the question.

Good luck!
