Waching daily Apr 6 2017

Personal greeting for everyone

who enjoys table tennis

Here we are again. My name is Maxim Cherepnin

At this video I will talk

about types of blades which are destined

for playing short pips

Of course

there is no ideal blade for pips anyway

Also there is no

absolutely perfect blade

for all types of pips

Based on my observation

and experience

I would like to share my own opinoin

about the most suitable kind of blades

In the beginning of my experience and practice with short pips I played with Butterfly Innerforce ZLC blade

and everything was pretty good for me

perhaps I thought so

At some point

Alexey Sipachevskiy has recommended me one

really interesting product

It was an oversized blade

Dr. Neubauer High Technology

Its thickness is about 13 mm

and it weights 62 g

The main layer of this blade

is balsa Dr. Neubauer High Technology is destined for

strong driving and smashing

due to

low dwell-time of blade

If we decide to glue to

Dr. Neubauer High Technology

some inverted rubber and at the same time

decide to glue inverted rubber to (for example)

similar balsa blade like

"Carbon Strike" from Spinlord

with thickness 6 mm

inverted rubber will produce

a lot more spin on Spinlord Carbon Strike blade

Also inverted rubber

on Spinlord Carbon Strike may seems more grippy than

on Dr. Neubauer High Technology or other balsa blades

My personal blade is

SpinLord Ultra Balsa It consists of

balsa layers and

carbon layers

So why balsa blades are preferable

to another types of wooden blades? Balsa blades such as SpinLord Ultra Balsa provide

additional acceleration

for pushing

for сounter smashing

Balsa blade is more xomfortable in smashing lobs

compared with non-balsa blade

Because for non-balsa blade or for too thin

blades with thickness around 5.6 mm

like almost blades from ButterFly

Player needs to regulate the angle of table tennis racket

during driving or looping

very attentively

and player needs to provide a stiffer gripping technique

But balsa blade doesn't need so

thorough control of racket angle You can even overclose the racket a bit

and you won't get a drop shot 00:02:58,610 --> 00:03:01,610 thanks for generated by balsa layers acceleration

During one of my experiments

I have glued inverted rubber to Spinlord Carbon Strike

which is fabulous and

extremely good for short pips

it is a super choise if you are playing close to table

with chop blocks and drives

Spinlord Carbon Strike is also great

variant for anti-spin rubbers

Of course this blade is perfect for

for different inverted rubbers It has a lot of control

gives comfortable feeling

and phenomenal sensitivity

With Spinlord Carbon Strike you can vary the distance from close to table zone to mid-range looping

I have glued to this blade

short pips SpindLord Waran for forehand and

another SpindLord Waran short pips for backhand

And I tried to stick looping-style

to counter loop topspins

I tried to impart topspin to ball

It is a bit paradoxically because

most short pips

are oriented to flat gaming and dead balls

But despite this belief it was pretty comfortable for me

to play in

looping-style

and counter looping tactic

I have easily returned

and counterattacked heavy topspins from backhand/forehand

in practice training mode

But in game with score keeping and

equal competitor

generated by short pips spins

were not difficult

for my opponents

It gave them an opportunity

to make loaded strokes and attack by even heavier topspins each time

It caused huge problems for me because

short pips have some spin-limit

I cant impart more spin to ball

due to individual properties

of such rubbers

So in summary

short pips require from player

flat gaming with

with dominance of dead balls,

flat smashes

As a result blades with thickness around 5.6 mm

which are intended for inverted rubber won't be

suitable for all kinds

and types of pips-out rubber

Obviously it is not an axiom or strict rule

And notice please I'm talking my own opinion about short pips and medium pips only

Thin blades can't provide needful sensitivity

and comfort as much as thick balsa blades

Thin non-balsa blade works towards needless short pips overspining

on the one hand extra spining is not so bad

but on the other hand

you are not be able to deaden the ball totally

Short pips feel like inverted rubber

and the player is losing

certain advantages of short pips strategy

My tennis performance have been deteriorated

so thats why

I have switched back to blades

with balsa layers

and new winnings

were not long in coming

Depends on manufacturer

balsa blades may consist of different layers

There are layers of balsa with layers of limba

Here is also balsa with

two inner wooden layers Now I am using

Ultra Balsa blade from SpindLord

with carbon layers

It is composed of

two inner wooden layers

two layers of carbon after it

and layers of balsa inside the structure SpindLord Ultra Balsa is a bit more grippy

in comparison with analogs due to

two synthetic layers as part of this blade

It allows me to counter choppers

and loopers more effective

I am going to continue my researching

I like doing experiments

Now my preference is given to SpindLord Ultra Balsa

but it is possible that in future I will change it to another blade

Another interesting question is

Why did I decide to switch from

Dr. Neubauer High Technology blade to SpindLord Ultra Balsa after 1.5 after years of playing

At first nothing prevents me to try and

play High Technology again

Everything depends on me

But with High Technology blade I had difficulties

with my favourite

high toss serves And this issue is acute

not only for myself

In spite of large sweet spot of this blade

it was too hard for me

to make a short or half-long serve

with so massive

and powerful blade

The thinner blade the easier serve

For example this one is non-oversized

and also conditionally thin blade

so high toss serves with it are simple for me

By the way I have scored a lot of points

right after high toss serves

My opponents usually made the most commonly mistake

and gave me a great chance

for third ball kill attack

At the same time Dr. Neubauer High Technology blade

is perfect instrument for

any reverse sidespin serves

During the third ball attack I get an easy way for

blocks, drives and counter smashes

In total with Dr. Neubauer High Technology

is one of the best blades for

flat gaming style, drives, 183 00:07:35,239 --> 00:07:36,349 convenient for smashing

Table tennis industry

is growing rapidly

Now we have a wide range

of various short pips

but I am sure that soon companies like SpinLord

may release a new generation of

short pips with unique properties

So

If you decide to test short pips

I would like to recommend you to get an initial experience

with balsa blade

Balsa blade should be composed of

balsa layers which are provide low dwell-time and required acceleration

Such types of blades are the most suitable variant

for playing short pips

That's all

Becoming A Writer For The New Declaration Of Independence - Duration: 1:26.

Hello world! We are "Live from my Couch." Today,

I wanted to talk about one of ConSpot's new

initiatives. I am launching a social

experiment to see what the Declaration

of Independence would look like if we

were written today. When the Founding

Fathers created the Declaration of

Independence over 200 years ago, none of

them thought that our form of government

would last forever. It was Thomas Jefferson

who wrote in 1789 (the very same year our

Constitution took effect): "no society can

create a perpetual Constitution. The

Earth belongs always to the living, not

to the dead. Every constitution, then, and

every law expires naturally at the end

of 19 years." 200 and

something years later and our

Constitution has remained largely

unchanged. It's time to imagine what a

new constitution would look like. And so

I'm crowdsourcing a new declaration. In

the description you will find a link to

a public google doc. If you have access

to it, it means that your input has the

potential to actively shape what this

declaration becomes. So what are you

waiting for? Click on the link and add

your thoughts to the document. You don't

have to be overly wordy or intellectual.

You just have to be a pissed-off

citizens itching to change things. That's

all for now. This video is made possible

by Patrons over at Patreon. If you like

what you see, consider becoming a Patron.

A link is in the description. If you have

an idea for a show or would like to do

one yourself, reach out to us via social

media. I'm Alex Mell-Taylor and this has

Best Mechanical Gaming Keyboard 2017? Best Mechanical Keyboard For Typing - Duration: 4:25.

today I'm gonna show you top three best

mechanical gaming keyboard number one

corsair k70 RGB rapid fire the first

gaming keyboard on our list is obviously

the corsair k70 RGB rapid fire now this

keyboard may come as a surprise to some

because it is basically an updated

version of the k70 RGB and the k70 RGB

lux in case you're wondering what

updated in West nah keep in mind that

you're getting an updated lighting

controller and in addition to that

you're getting the all-new cherry MX

speed switch which is also known as the

MX builder switch because of the color

this switch has the same xua shun force

of 45 grams as the MX red but the

actuation point has been reduced from

the standard 2 millimeters to a 1.2

millimeters for those who don't know the

actuation force is basically the amount

of force required to bottom out of the

key as for the actuation point it's the

amount of distance the key has to travel

in order to get registered the build

quality is super satisfying however the

only issue is that Corsairs decision of

using abs keycaps rather than the more

durable pvt q caf as you all know abs

keycaps lose their matte finish and

become shinier for more information and

latest price check description below

this video number 2 razer blackwidow

chroma the Black Widow chroma comes with

razors own green and orange switches

that are not made by cherry MX and while

this may put some people off do keep in

mind that these switches are amazing for

gaming as well as tithing so without

further ado let's take a look the good

thing about this keyboard is that razor

has finally ditched their all plastic

construction in favor of metal much like

some of the other high-end mechanical

keyboards this one also comes with a

metal top giving it an extra level of

protection the keyboard offers a USB

pass-through as well as a pass-through

for a speaker and microphone and the

cable is properly braided providing the

maximum security

this keyboard comes in razors green and

orange switches and do keep in mind that

there's no denying that these switches

are actually rebranded kale switches the

typing experience on the green switches

remained relatively average with no real

incentive over the cherry MX switches as

for the gaming the greens which is

absolutely shine in that department

offering us one of the best gaming

experiences you can get from this

keyboard well it's certainly not the

best gaming keyboard in the market it's

good enough and certainly deserves a

spot on my list number 3 logitech c910

or IM spark the gene 910 orion spark is

one of the first keyboard from logitech

that is using their own romaji switches

that were created in cooperation with

none other than omron in terms of size

the keyboard is an absolute monster

however you'd be surprised to see that

logitech has opted to go with a

high-quality brushed plastic instead of

aluminum in the build quality while this

makes the keyboard weigh a lot less than

the competition it also makes the

keyboard construction feel a bit cheap

to those who look closely sadly the

keyboard doesn't come with a

pass-through at all something that is

sad especially when you look at the

price you're paying for this keyboard

the gene 910 Narayan spark uses a single

USB braided cable instead of two that we

see on the Corsair lineup of keyboards

one think that we really like is that

the keyboard ships with two detachable

wrist rests that are slightly the front

and are there to provide you the comfort

however you want it another really

clever thing about this keyboard is that

it has a dock where you can put your

phone in case you need to this keyboard

uses abs plastic key caps however they

are aggressively designed and contoured

Here is Why You Should Not Throw Away Papaya Seeds - Duration: 4:17.

You may have noticed that there are enough diet books in bookstores to fill a library.

Some are emphatic and say to avoid fruit, while others proclaim that fruits are vital

for good health. Which one is best for you?

Of course, most foods are to be eaten in moderation and that includes the tropical fruit, papaya.

Researchers have discovered there's much more to a papaya than its sweet taste; it's

a treasure chest full of valuable nutrients that's longing to be unlocked. Dig into

the luscious fruit and a host of seeds almost seem to bubble up from a spring. These value-packed

seeds are enriched with a host of compounds, protein, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.

These black morsels are powerhouses of enzymes that are a natural remedy for promoting digestive

health, destroying parasites, battling cancer, relieving inflammation, and detoxifying the

liver.

In today's video, we'll examine the benefits of adding papaya to your diet.

1. Improves Digestive Health

The digestive enzymes in the seeds work in concert with your body to break down protein

fibers, which aids the body's natural digestion process. They neutralize and normalize the

amount of acid in your intestinal tract. And their high concentration of antibacterial

properties fight against E.coli, salmonella and staphinfections. Plus, they are an excellent

remedy for those suffering from food poison.

2. Prevents Cancer

The most commonly discussed types of cancer are: breast, colon, lung and prostrate. Taking

a microscopic look inside the seeds reveals two powerful antioxidant compounds that help slow

the growth of tumor cells by reducing the activation of carcinogens and increase their

detoxification.

3. Fights Intestinal Parasites

Villians known as intestinal parasites can create enormous discomfort. Leave it to papaya

seeds to come to the rescue with their proteolytic enzymes. They are potent enough to break down

protein and destroy the parasites and their eggs. A 2007 study published in the Journal

of Medicinal Food finds that papaya seeds do not produce adverse side effects but add

that further studies are needed.

4. Reduces Inflammation

Individuals who suffer from inflammation associated with conditions like arthritis, joint pain,

gout and asthma will be delighted to know that two powerful enzymes in the seeds can

dramatically reduce inflammation.

5. Detoxifies the Liver

The seeds are also mighty warriors whose enzymes can detoxify your liver and kidneys; in fact, the

seeds are considered beneficial for managing cirrhosis of the liver.

As tasty as papaya seeds are, they are to be consumed moderately. The reason? They are

packed full of antibacterial properties which could contribute to diarrhea.

Just be careful to limit your daily intake to 2 tablespoons of papaya seeds max. And

that's in any form. It may be better to begin with a tiny amount then you can gradually

increase the amount up to 2 tablespoons.

Papaya seeds are another way Mother Nature uses as a form of contraceptive. If you're

anxious to conceive, avoid papaya seeds completely. And those who are pregnant should not eat

the seeds or the fruit. The same holds true for anyone with latex or papain allergies.

Budget Freezer Meals for the Slow Cooker & Oven! Healthy Dinner Recipes - Mind Over Munch - Duration: 3:34.

When life gets crazy,

chill out!

Grab a freezer meal.

Hey munchies!

Welcome to the channel if you're new!

I'm Alyssia.

I have done freezer meals before and have had LOADS of requests for more since then,

and why not?

They're convenient and easy, and when healthy is convenient and easy, it's much more fun.

First up is my Freezer Spinach Lasagna Roll-Ups.

Here are the ingredients you will need.

First, I mix together ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, spinach, parsley, basil, garlic,

and salt and pep.

Set aside.

I cooked my lasagna noodles al dente, according to package directions, and put them on a cookie

sheet.

I can now divide my ricotta mixture onto each noodle, as well as a bit of sauce.

Roll it up to create your roll-up!

To assemble the dish, spread tomato sauce on the bottom of a 9 by 13 inch baking dish,

enough to cover.

Add in your roll-ups, and top with additional sauce.

Top it off with grated mozzarella and parmesan!

Now the meal is ready to bake, OR freeze!

Bake for 30 minutes when fresh, or add 45 minutes to the cook time if it's frozen

and cover with foil.

Easy to make and DELICIOUS to taste!

I love keeping this in my freezer!

Next up is my Corn Chowder, which is actually completely vegan.

Here are the ingredients you will need.

Sauté up some garlic and onion in a bit of olive oil, and season with salt and pep.

Add potatoes, carrots, celery, and bell pepper.

Cook until the potatoes have softened, around 5 minutes.

Add coconut milk, broth, frozen corn, paprika, and thyme.

Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.

Use your handy-dandy immersion blender (or whatever blender you prefer) and blend until

smooth, adjusting seasonings to taste.

You can enjoy it as is, OR allow to cool before storing in freezer-safe containers.

When you're ready to enjoy, thaw them out in the fridge the day before and reheat over

medium-low heat on the stove.

This is one HEARTY soup!

It's so satisfying and packed with nutritious ingredients!

If you're enjoying these freezer meals, be sure to subscribe and hit the bell so you're

notified every week of new videos!

Finally, we're onto my Cilantro Lime Chicken.

I get more requests for slow-cooker meals than ANYTHING else, so here you go!

Here are the ingredients you will need.

This is the EASIEST one yet, because all you do is simply add all of the ingredients into

a freezer-safe bag, close it up without any air, and freeze it!

Thaw it out the day before you want to cook it, and then simply dump the entire thing

into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

Or, if you're in a time pinch, you could cook on high for 2 to 3 hours.

Serve as a bowl with rice, or even with tortillas or on a salad!

The slow cooker is a great way to add TONS of flavor without the work, and this meal

is proof!

Thumbs up for EASE of freezer meals!

I hope you enjoyed this episode, if you did, I would appreciate it if you'd share it,

and comment below and let me know which one is your favorite!

I will see you next week for a brand new episode, and remember,

it's all a matter of Mind Over Munch!

New Insurance Options for Farmers | Farmweek | April 6, 2017 - Duration: 6:10.

[NEW

VIDEO---

CROP INSURANCE HAS

ALWAYS BEEN A HEDGE

AGAINST BAD WEATHER,

INSECT DAMAGE AND

DROUGHT.

FOR PRODUCERS WHO

DIVERSIFY, THERE'S A

NEW TOOL FOR

PROTECTION IN CASE

THE UNTHINKABLE

HAPPENS.

[NEW INSURANCE PLAN

PKG]

---PKG---

Roger Umlor still cringes

when hail or wind storms

head toward his family's 460

acre orchard, but one

insurance program is the

apple of his eye. Whole-

Farm Revenue Protection,

has him and other

producers less on edge in

those weeks before the

crops are harvested and

shipped out.

"It is still farming so we kind

of accept some risk anyway.

So with our Whole Revenue

insurance, we still feel we

are taking the risk, but at

least there's still that

backing there."

Producers need to sell at

least three types of crops or

livestock to qualify for the

Whole-Farm Revenue

Protection or WFRP.

That's how you get the

highest levels of coverage

and maximum premium

contribution from the

government. Those with two

commodities are eligible at

lower coverage rates.

Single-commodity

producers are ineligible for

the higher premium

contribution from taxpayers,

but can obtain protection.

"Those farms that are well

diversified roughly

speaking three or more

crops then the premium

subsidy rate the part the

government pays versus

what the grower pays is

significantly larger than it is

for the standard corn,

soybean, wheat, cotton and

rice policy...the risk for the

whole portfolio is less than

the risk for an individual

crop and they wanted to

essentially incentivize

people to consider the

product."

Whole-Farm Revenue

Protection was based on

two pilot programs that

failed to gain widespread

popularity in the dozen or so

years of their existence. A

mandate in the 2014 Farm

bill spurred the USDA to

launch Whole-Farm on a

limited basis in 2015. By

2016, the program had been

fine-tuned and was made

available to producers

across the country.

The value of the

commodities covered under

the plan grew 109%, from

$1.1 billion to $2.3 billion.

Still, Whole-Farm Revenue

is dwarfed by other crop

insurance programs and

represents just one tenth of

one percent of the more

than two million policies

partially supported by the

federal government. The

total value covered by

-those- policies topped $100

trillion in 2016.

In recent years, Congress

has begun pushing farmers

toward greater reliance on

insurance programs rather

than relying on direct

subsidies or disaster

payments that follow

catastrophic weather

events.

"Congress basically

routinely did these off-

budget disaster schemes.

The argument has been:

what level of coverage and

what kind of products do

you offer so you are making

payments to growers

commensurate with what

the risk is, not what the deal

of the day - so to speak -

is?"

Umlor is the fourth

generation to work on his

orchard. He says the

Whole-Farm plan seems to

offer a better mix of cost

efficiency and protection for

his crops compared to other

government-supported

insurance programs.

Unlike insurance programs

based on expected yield, W-

F-R-P looks at an

operation's annual revenue

stream over three to five

years. Producers decide

how much of that revenue

they want to protect

ranging from 50 to 85

percent knowing they will

pay a higher rate for more

coverage. The plan also

covers livestock at values

up to $1 million.

For Umlor, the program

takes away the risk of

having an adjuster try to

estimate yield losses after

severe weather damages

their crops. Instead, any

reimbursements are based

on concrete numbers from

past tax records.

"I think the simplicity of it

makes it work. It would be

really hard to cheat the

system, which is nice. And

you can be confident in that.

And it's a safety net for the

food supply.

Kelly Jackson of Daniels

Produce has signed up for a

third year under Whole-

Farm. She says the loss

adjusters sometimes lack

familiarity with less

commonly grown fruit and

vegetable varieties. She

says if some produce is still

harvested after a disaster,

hidden blemishes can hurt

marketability. Whole-Farm's

use of an operation's

historic revenue stream

helps work around that

problem.

"In 2014, the year before

Whole-Farm when we had

that huge hail storm, we had

I think 60 or 70 acres of

cabbage just shredded.

Everybody had disasters.

The adjuster took a good

solid ten days to get out

here and, by then, ten days

later, it had started to grow

back. And it made heads,

but a lot of it had black rot."

The family had already paid

crews to harvest the

cabbage before the extent

of the damage was

discovered.

"If you are a field corn-

soybean person that also

has I mean they can get

this too, you know? And if

they are into livestock and

sheep or whatever, and

alfalfa, that's three

commodities. But I don't

think a lot of people know

this exists because there's

not a lot of agencies yet

willing to take on the

complexity of this."

Umlor sees Whole Farm as

a way to shield his family's

legacy against disaster.

"Right now, we have trees

ordered out to 2018 and

down payments on them.

And, of course, like any

farm, we have loans out that

are due and it sure helps

with banking. If we had two

bad years in a row, we could

be out of business here. So

to have that backing, it's

good to know; it kind of

helps protect the family and

the business and all the

work we put into it - and not

just my generation."

You can incorporate scripts into the ServiceNow system to extend and customize its features.

These scripts are coded in JavaScript.

Scripts can run on the server… ...and on client browsers.

Since the server has direct access to the database...

... server scripts are typically used to modify records in the database and generate events.

Since the client has access to forms, client scripts are typically used to tailor forms to the current user and conditions.

This video looks at these client scripts.

Client scripts are useful for configuring forms, form fields, and field values in real time, while the user is using the form.

For example, a script can make fields hidden or visible…

…read-only or writable…

…or optional or mandatory, based on the user's role.

A script can also set the value in one field based on the values in other fields…

…modify the options in a choice list based on the user's role…

…or display messages based on the value in a field.

They're a powerful way to tailor a form in real time.

You can see a list of all the client scripts in the instance at System Definition > Client Scripts.

To see the client scripts for a particular form, go to the form…

…open the context menu, and choose Configure > Client Scripts.

There are a few different types of script.

An onLoad script runs when the form loads, before the user ever sees it.

The values in the form are straight from the database.

This type of script lets you control how the form first appears to the user.

An onChange script runs when the user changes the value in any field.

This type of script is handy for setting the value of a field or displaying a message...

... based on the values the user enters in other fields.

An onSubmit script runs when the user submits the form.

This type of script is useful for validating the values that the user entered.

And finally, onCellEdit scripts are similar to onChange…

…except that they run whenever the user changes the value of a field in a list rather than on a form.

Client scripts interact with the system through a small set of APIs.

Let's go back to our list of scripts for the Incident form and take a look.

Client scripts control forms and their fields and values through an API called GlideForm.

The script calls the GlideForm API through the g_form object.

g_form methods let you do lots of things with forms and fields, like highlight areas on the form...

…get information or set the value for a field…

…and change the choices in a list.

The GlideUser API provides information about the current user throught the g_user object.

g_user methods and properties provide the user's names, user ID, roles, and other information.

The GlideRecord API makes calls to the database on the server without having to use mysql.

This API uses the gr object.

And finally, the GlideAjax API passes work to the server in a script include.

This API uses the ajax object.

Now let's look at a few best practices for client scripts.

The base system comes with hundreds of scripts.

If you want to change one of these = scripts, make a copy and change the copy rather than changing the base version.

That way you can go back to the base version if you need to.

Here's another tip.

Some form fields don't contain the actual data.

Instead they contain a reference to the data on the server.

These fields have a button with an information icon.

Client scripts need to make a call to the server to get the data for these fields.

This takes extra time.

To improve client performance, try to make as few references to these fields as possible.

Another way to improve client performance is to run longer scripts on the server instead of the client.

You can use GlideAjax to pass a script to the server in a script include.

And finally, be sure to put comments in your code.

It'll be a big help to the next person who sees it...

... and that just might be you a few months down the road!

Pierce Brosnan: I Listened To Rick Perry To Nail Texas Accent For 'The Son' | TODAY - Duration: 5:04.

>>> WE ARE BACK NOW, 8:41, WITH AWARD-WINNING ACTOR PIERCE

BROSNAN. HE'S RETURNING TO TELEVISION IN

A NEW SERIES CALLED "THE SUN" BASED ON A BEST-SELLING NOVEL.

AND HE PLAYS A RUTHLESS CATTLE RANCHER AND SPOILING OIL TYCOON.

TAKE A LOOK. >> I'VE LIVED ALL OVER THE WEST.

AND THIS LITTLE PATCH OF SOUTH TEXAS I'VE DECIDED TO CALL HOME.

IT'S GOOD WEATHER. >> YES, SIR.

>> WE GOT OIL, WE GOT GAS, WE GOT MONSTER BUCKS AND QUAIL

COMING OUT OF OUR EARS. SO THERE'S A GOOD REASON I CHOSE

TO RAISE MY FAMILY HERE. AND I'M HONORED YOU ALL COULD

COME DOWN AND SHARE WITH ME. >> PIERCE, GOOD MORNING, WELCOME

BACK. >> GOOD MORNING, MATT.

>> YOU START OUT WITH A CONTRADICTION.

I WAS GOING TO SAY THIS WAS THE FIRST WESTERN YOU HAVE DONE.

YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO IT. YOU ACTUALLY DID THE WESTERN,

YOU WERE JUST TELLING ME, WITH

LIAM NIESOM A FEW YEARS BACK. >> I DON'T SAY THIS IS A

WESTERN, SO TO SPEAK. IT'S A WONDERFUL BOOK BY PHILLIP

MEYER. AND IF PEOPLE LIKE THE BOOK,

THEY WILL LIKE THIS SHOW. HE'S A WONDERFUL WRITER.

IT'S SET IN TEXAS 1950. >> WITHOUT CEMENTING IT INTO THE

WESTERN GENRE, WE WERE TALKING DURING THE COMMERCIAL BREAK, I'M

A FAN OF WESTERNS, I LOVE THEM. WERE YOU?

>> I LOVE THEM. >> WHAT WERE SOME OF YOUR

FAVORITES? >> JOHN WAYNE WE SPOKE OF,

ANYTHING TO DO WITH FORD, JOHN FORD MADE MAGNIFICENT PIECES,

THE SEARCHES. DEFINITELY GROWING UP ON THE

BANKS OF THE RIVER IN IRELAND, THERE'S A YOUNG MAN IN THE LATE

'50s, THE WESTERNS WERE A STAPLE DIET FOR EVERYONE.

>> BUT THAT LEADS INTO THE MOST OBVIOUS TOPIC TO TALK ABOUT

TODAY. YOU DON'T HAVE A TEXAS ACCENT IN

REAL LIFE. YOU HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF AN

IRISH ACCENT. HOW DID YOU EVEN GO ABOUT TRYING

TO MASTER THAT TEXAS DRAWL TWANG TYPE THING?

>> WELL, IT WAS PRETTY TRICKY. I GAVE MYSELF THE GRACE OF BEING

AN IRISHMAN AND PLAY THIS COLONEL, COLONEL ELI McCULLA.

SO THERE ARE CELTIC MOVES TO THE MAN'S BONES.

IN 1850, THERE WOULD BE SECOND SCOTTS AND IRISH.

>> I WAS LISTENING IN THE CLIP AND YOU HAVE A LOT OF TEXAS IN

THAT VOICE. >> WELL, GOOD, I'M GLAD YOU SAID

THAT. WHAT DID I LISTEN TO?

I LISTENED TO WAYNE JENNINGS AND RICK PERRY.

AT THE END, A WONDERFUL SENATOR, TED POE, SOMEHOW HE CAUGHT MY

IMAGINATION. I LOVED HIS VOICE AND LISTENED

ALL THE TIME. AND THEN YOU'RE IN TEXAS.

THE JOB CAME IN AT THE 11th HOUR.

SO FOR ME I WAS -- >> BACK TO TELEVISION, HOW MANY

YEARS AGO WAS "REMMINGTON STEEL"?

>> '86 WE WENT OFF THE AIR. >> TELEVISION HAS CHANGED A LOT

IN THOSE YEARS. >> YES, COMPETITION IS FIERCE.

THERE'S SO MUCH CONTENT AND SO MANY GOOD SHOWS.

I'VE BEEN ACTIVELY LOOKING TO COME BACK TO TV BECAUSE OF --

"HOUSE OF CARDS," "GAME OF THRONES" AND SEEING THE ROBUST

QUALITY OF WRITING THAT IS ON TV.

>> WE RUN INTO EACH OTHER EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, NOT ONLY HERE,

BUT WEIRDLY IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD.

AND I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT YOU HAVE THIS INCREDIBLE LIFE.

EVERY TIME I SEE YOU, I SAY, HOW ARE YOU?

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING? YOU TELL ME SOMETHING TO MAKE ME

JEALOUS, DO YOU FIND THE PUSH AND THE PULL AND THE TUG OF

CAREER HARDER AND HARDER BECAUSE YOU'VE GOT IT SO GOOD IN LIFE?

>> I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT. LISTEN, NOTHING COMES WITH

NOTHING. IT'S ALL ABOUT WORK.

IT'S ALL ABOUT DOING. I'VE BEEN VERY LUCKY TO HAVE

MADE A CAREER AND TO BE STILL AT THE TABLE AS AN ACTOR AND STILL

EMPLOYED AS AN ACTOR. I ALWAYS HAVE TO FIGHT FOR THE

STUFF I WANT TO DO. >> DO YOU REALLY HAVE TO FIGHT?

>> OF COURSE YOU DO. OF COURSE YOU DO.

SOMETIMES YOU HAVE CHOICES TO ACT AND SOMETIMES YOU DON'T.

BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY THE MORTGAGE.

I HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHILDREN.

>> SO THE LOOK YOU GAVE ME WAS TO NOT TELL PEOPLE TO STOP

CALLING, YOU WERE ENJOYING LIFE SO MUCH, WITH THE DAGGERS COMING

OUT OF YOUR LIFE. >> NO, I ENJOY LIFE.

I HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE AND KIDS, SONS, WE HAVE BEAUTIFUL

SONS. AND SHE'S NOW BACK IN THE

WORKFORCE. SHE'S MADE A DOCUMENTARY CALLED

"POISONING PARADISE." SHE AND I TOGETHER ARE MAKING

MOVIES. >> WELL, AS A TELEVISION GUY,

IT'S GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK ON TV.

>> THANK YOU VERY MUCH. >> ESPECIALLY IN A FAMILY

SAGA/WESTERN THAT I LOVE SO MUCH.
