The kidneys are one of the most important organs in the body.
They are responsible for filtering toxins from our blood, and also regulate the water,
and mineral balance in the body.
However, most people just don't take enough care of them, which results in different kidney
problems that may have grave consequences.
Here are the worst 8 habits that are constantly damaging our kidneys.
1.
Keeping our bladder full for a long time Prolonging the call of nature can only damage
your kidneys.
When you need to go the bathroom, do so as soon as possible or you will increase the
risk of renal failure, and several other health problems as well.
2.
Not drinking enough water Water keeps our body hydrated, and is required
for proper kidney function.
By drinking less than the recommended amount of water, 6 to 8 glasses per day, the kidneys
won't be able to expel waste from the body, which will result in stalled renal flow, and
accumulation of toxins in the blood.
3.
Drug abuse Popping pills whenever you feel under the
weather is a bad, and dangerous habit which can significantly harm your kidneys.
Long-term drug abuse can reduce the function of this organ, and may have fatal consequences
on your health.
4.
Excessive sodium consumption Consuming table salt in big amounts may strain
your kidneys too much, which will overwork them, and cause a host of symptoms such as
fatigue.
Avoiding salt is difficult as it is present in almost any food we consume, so make sure
to always read the labels of the food you buy.
5.
Too much caffeine Caffeine is present in coffee, and most soft
drinks.
Drinking a lot of these beverages can increase your blood pressure, and strain the kidneys,
eventually leading to renal failure.
6.
Excess protein intake Consuming too much protein on a daily basis
can increase the metabolic load, and harm the kidneys beyond repair.
7.
Alcohol abuse Drinking big amounts of alcohol every day
is one of the worst things you can do to your kidneys.
You are allowed a drink or two per day, but more than that can result in serious health
problems, and damage your kidneys.
8.
Ignoring flu, and colds Not treating colds, and the flu on time, and
not resting when you are sick can overwork, and damage the kidneys, so try to resolve
the problem as soon as you can.

decor.
Try these apartment decorating ideas on for size, and you'll find your small apartment

Number 1: Go Curvy.
Because most apartments are boxy, it's fun to add some curves.
Designer Libby Langdon suggests round tables, chairs with a curve and rugs that are either
shaped or adorned with spirals and dots.
Number 2: Lighten Up.
"A light rug can open up your room and make it feel larger," says Langdon.
A bound carpet remnant can work great.
If your apartment came with stained or dark wall-to-wall carpeting, cover it up with a
rug in a lighter hue.
Number 3: Go With Curtains.
You don't have to live with those standard-issue apartment blinds.
Add a touch of drama with curtains, and consider the tricks you can do with them to make your
space appear larger.
Hang curtains outside the window or even on bare walls.
Hang them floor to ceiling to create height, or have them flow from a cornice that hides
the curtain rod.
Number 4: Layer It.
Contrary to what you might think, small spaces don't have to forgo a bed with lots of linens
and fabrics.
Layers and an elegant mix of colors, prints and pillows can make a space seem airy and
give depth to what is likely one of the biggest pieces in the home.
Number 5: All About Scale.
Unless you're trying to make a statement with a dramatic, overstuffed couch, your small
space will actually look larger with moderately sized or slightly smaller furnishings.

Lucite tables or chairs and glass tops all give the impression of openness while still
delivering the function you need.
Number 7: Sleep On It.
An old solution for cramped spaces has come back into style for good reason.

Dawn Burns-Pratt.
Number 8: Brighten Things Up.
Add light up, down and all around to create interest and the feeling of space.
"Lights are the most amazing way of making a home feel warm and welcoming.
Using several lamps throughout a space creates a warm glow in the room," says designer Ron
Marvin.
Number 9: Priorities, Priorities.
Because small spaces are very limited, you need to figure out your priorities and allocate
accordingly, says Marvin.
Some people need a desk area, but not a dining area.
Some people want a living area and would prefer a bed that folds up.
"Make the space work for your needs and don't hold yourself to what is traditional in a
home.
It's your home."
Number 10: Float It.
Designer Jason Landau loves mounting floating shelves wherever there is space.
Because they float, this kind of shelving adds tons of storage but looks sleek and contemporary.

Hi this is Nicole Power with Educational
Inspiration and today is game day so i
wanted to talk to you about some toys
that you might have laying around your
house already. these are some of those
magnet builders that we can use to build
fun shapes and make blocks.Lots of you
bought these a couple Christmases ago
for your little ones and now all those
little ones are starting school and
beginning to learn how to spell and read.
So one good reuse for these toys is to
help talk about sounds and words and the
letters that go with those sounds and
words. So for instance we can take these
magnets and talk about how many sounds
are in the word 'boat'? How many sounds do
i hear? so I hear /b/, I hear /o/ and I hear /t/.
so I hear three sounds, /b/, /o/ and /t/. If your
kids are ready to start writing letters
that go with those sounds, inside these
squares, now you can map the letters to
the sound. So what letter goes with the
/b/ sound? And then you can write inside
that square the letter B goes with /b/. And
what two letters are going together to
say that long 'o' sound you hear in boat?
And in this case we have 'o' and 'a' going
together. So that would go in the same
box because they're making one sound. And
the last sound I hear in the word 'boat'
is /t/ with a letter 'T. /b/ /o/ /t/, 'boat, three sounds.
You can also use these if your child
isn't ready for letters. you can use the
smaller fun triangle pieces just to mark
the sound. So in 'space' I hear /s/ /p/ /a/ and /s/ sounds. You can
also use these to talk about how many
syllables you hear in a word. How many
syllables or parts do I hear in the
word 'cowboy'? 'cow' ' boy', two
syllables in that word 'cowboy'. So whether
you're talking about letters that match
sounds and words, or just talking about
your listening skills and what sounds
you hear in a word, or even for earlier
kids how many syllables do you hear in a
word, these magnet toys come in real
handy. So dig them off the bottom of your
kid's closet and use them to help with
spelling and reading. Thanks for
