Rescue Helicopters For Children | Gecko's Real Vehicles - Duration: 6:49.
Helicopters are used all over the world for transporting passengers but the most important
use for them is rescuing people from areas that are difficult to get to by land!
I'm here at Her Majesty's Coastguard base in North Wales to meet an amazing Rescue Helicopter
and her crew.
The helicopter behind me is used to rescue people in need from the sea, or from the mountains.
If someone hurts themselves on the top of a mountain, it's impossible to get an ambulance
up there, so the Coastguard are called.
A rescue can come anytime of day, or the middle of the night, and it sounds as if the crew
have a rescue call coming in!
They all spring to action at once.
First they take a look at a map of the area to check for any potential danger and work
out the best route.
Just look at this amazing tractor pulling the helicopter out of the hanger!
Now it's time for the crew to put their special safety gear on!
Everything has a purpose.
This lifesaving jacket will inflate so that the crew member floats in water, and it even
has it's own air supply just in case they're underwater and need to breathe fresh air.
Then it's out to the helicopter to fly.
On board are pilot Mike, Captain Kate, John the Winch Operator, and Tommo The Winch Man.
It's Tommo's job to get lowered out of the helicopter to rescue someone on the ground.
After a few safety checks it's time for take off!
This whole process, from call to flight takes the crew under 15 minutes!
Engine Start!
Look at how fast those rotors can turn!
The rotors chop through the air and make everything around them very windy!
Woah, I can hardly stay on my feet!
RED Mechanical!
Let's use your Super Slow Motion camera to see just how many times those rotors are
turning.
I love using Gecko Super Slow mo, mainly because it just looks cool!
But look, a helicopter's rotor blades can spin 10 times per second!
Mech starts to wobble and the wind blows him off his feet and off screen.
Oh dear!
Are you ok Red Mechanical?!
As the rotors spin faster, the helicopter lifts off the ground, and flies into the air!
Captain Kate controls the helicopter by pointing the rotor blades in the direction she wants
the helicopter to fly.
Today the crew are practising their winching skills using a dummy instead of a real person.
The pilots skilfully hover over the area just above where the dummy is.
Tommo clips himself to the winch and John carefully lowers him down.
Tommo would then check how poorly the person on the ground is, before winching both of
them back up to the helicopter safely.
Back at base, the engineers are always on hand to make sure the helicopters are in the
best working order and ready to fly.
Safety is the most important thing, and these engineers are the best in the business!
It's a real team effort keeping these amazing helicopters flying and rescuing people in
need.
This is Tom and Kev.
Tom's a pilot and Kev is a winch operator.
They're going to give us a quick tour inside the helicopter!
Welcome everyone aboard the S92 Search and Rescue Helicopter.
First and foremost very importantly we've got our winches here.
And these winches have got 2 strops and the idea of this is you can lower these down to
people in the water or on a mountain, pick them up and take them to safety.
So take a look inside now in the aircraft itself.
And as you can see as you come into this helicopter, it's a large space.
Here we've got a camera which we use when we're searching for people.
This can pick up people in the water or on the mountainside.
So when we've picked up our patient and taken them off the hoist, we bring them into the
aircraft itself and we can put them onto our stretcher.
They may well be in the stretcher.
But it's a lovely area for us to work on them and make them feel comfortable in the aircraft
and we can give them medical treatment if they require it.
Once we get to the hospital we need to get our patient out of the aircraft safely and
the best way we can do that is we lead them and lift them off the aircraft down the ramp
itself and into the hospital where they can be looked after.
Ok this is the cockpit of the helicopter.
There are two pilots.
One sits in this chair, and the other one sits on the other side.
These are the controls for the helicopter.
This one moves the helicopter forwards and backwards, and this one moves it up and down
and there are two pedals down on the floor as well and that keeps the helicopter straight.
We've got 2 engines and they are controlled on these screens and then we've got a map
in the middle to see where we're going.

Hello how is it going?
Not all people have good megapixel camera in their smartphone that can zoom and capture
anything at far off distance with clarity.
But if you have not got any smartphone with high end camera well then it might already
be the time to get one.
Here I am going to introduce to a product that can help you zoom your camera shots about
4 times more than normal zooming capability of your smartphone.
Presenting the Mobile Phone Telescope for all smartphone with cameras of at least 5
MP and above.
This gadgets don't capture the moon surface with clarity but it can capture a far off
tiger in the jungle with close clarity.
Coming up next is the unboxing and detailed description, pros and cons and buying option

Let's begin with the unboxing of this gadget.
Inside the box we have small tripod stand, neck strap, a small box probably it might
be the lens, mobile holder, some adjusting screws, cleaning cloths and that's it, the
box is pretty much empty now.
Now let's go ahead and assemble this up.
Firstly connect the tripod to the holder..
And that is done..
Now next we should connect the lens holder too..
So now I am going to connect the lens…
And here it is the mobile phone telescope is ready to be used…
Since its ready let's have some fun with it.
One of the cool thing you can do with it is carry the lens on your neck with this neck
strap and when you find something cool you can use the same with tripod assembly we just
made.
I am going to take some clips of the ducks I have in my backyard.
Only cons I see in it is that it is difficult to adjust the lens on this mobile holder it
would have been better if the lens could be directly attachable to mobile phone camera
with some sticky gears like this… it could be a good suggestion to the team who designed
this.
But anyway it's cool and I cannot change its design but sure I made some changes to
suit my smartphone.
Once you got the lens in line with your phone camera then you can zoom the phone camera
first to remove the dark surrounding created and then use the lens zoom to get the sharp
resolution of the focusing area and then you can take images or videos.
But again the con is camera movements are not that stable in zoomed state but you need
good and steady hands on it.
You can check the videos I have taken with this mobile phone telescope..
The pros of this is that you can take images and videos of objects at far off distance
with good clarity and it is certainly a good thing to use if you going for travel and visiting
zoo or amusement park.
Though in some ads of mobile phone telescope it is shown that it can zoom and capture the
moon surface clearly but they are just fake and it may be some higher end versions of
this gadget but I recommend to be careful for such fake featuring.

How to Make Yourself Throw Up Easily and Quickly
Note: Inducing vomiting is not recommended for pregnant or
breastfeeding women as well as children under 12 years of age.
Also, it is not recommended as a mechanism for weight loss.
vomiting as first aid for toxic substance.
Throwing up is a natural mechanism that should be practiced as a last
resort and only after consulting your doctor.
Here are some of the effective methods to make you throw up.
#1.
Use Your Fingers
You can use your fingers to activate the body�s natural gag reflex,
which will make you throw up easily.
Choose where you�re going to vomit and sit firmly in a comfortable
position with your head pointing downward to prevent choking.
Insert your clean and well-washed index and middle fingers into your mouth.
Press your fingertips downward to induce vomiting.
Soon you will start getting stomach cramps.
Remove your fingers and allow the stomach contents to come out.
After vomiting, rinse your mouth with water and also wash your hands.
Note: Do not use any hard objects like sticks or spoons to induce vomiting.
#2.
The Toothbrush Trick
The toothbrush trick also uses the gag reflex to induce vomiting.
Moisten a soft-bristled toothbrush.
Gently rub the bristles on the back of the tongue to stimulate the gag reflex.
Do this several times until you feel the need to vomit.
After vomiting, make sure to rinse your mouth thoroughly.
#3.
Mustard Water
Mustard water is another option that can make you throw up quickly.
Add 1 tablespoon of mustard sauce or paste to a glass of warm water.
Stir thoroughly, then drink the solution in a single gulp.
Wait 20 to 30 minutes for the solution to work and induce vomiting.
#4.
Apple Cider Vinegar
If you suspect of eating some rotten food that can cause food poisoning,
apple cider vinegar is a good remedy to try at home.
Consume 1 to 2 tablespoons of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar.
The strong odor and taste of it will lead to instant queasiness and vomiting.
#5.
Warm Salt-Water Solution
Salt and water, two ingredients that you can find readily at home,
can help induce vomiting if you suspect you ate something toxic or poisonous.
Add 3 teaspoons of table salt or rock salt to a glass of lukewarm water.
Stir thoroughly and sip the solution slowly.
You do not need to drink the solution completely.
Just drink till you feel queasy.
The extreme salty taste will force you to throw up immediately.
Note: When following this remedy, it is important to keep in mind
your salt intake.
It is not recommended for those who are on a sodium restricted diet.
#6.
Sensory Stimulation
The sensory stimulation of the human body reacts to different situations in different
ways.
Even exposing yourself to unpleasant smells,
such as rotten fruits or vegetables, can also make you throw up very quickly.
It is not necessary that sensory stimulation always work,
but there is nothing wrong in giving it a try at least.
#7.
Spin Around
The act of spinning can also make you very dizzy and make you vomit
the contents of your stomach fairly quickly.
Sit calmly in a chair that spins.
Slowly start the spinning motion and gradually increase the speed.
Spin around until you feel dizzy, which induces vomiting.
Some Additional Tips
Drinking 1 tablespoon of castor oil mixed in a glass of orange juice
or lukewarm water may also help induce vomiting.
Always keep your head facing downward while vomiting.
Any hair or clothing should be kept away from the mouth.
Try to vomit into a bucket or a toilet to remove the waste promptly.
After 1 to 2 hours of throwing up, try to eat soup or warm broth
to get proper nutrients and help your body recover.
Do not brush your teeth for about 30 minutes after you throw up.
Make sure to wash your hands and face thoroughly.
Drink herbal teas to improve your digestion and protect your digestive tract.
Never self-induce vomiting for the purpose of weight loss or �purging�.
This can be really dangerous for your health.

it is interesting because
intellectually you understand that
no, that's not the rea— like that's not the only way
that the life is kind of
being handled in the world
like there are other places where people live
differently, in a different way
and it's not the only way
And even though you intellectually understand that
you just sort of
just because all the stimuli that you get
just because all of the stimuli that you get
are kind of
keep being the same
your brain does not experience that
like the actual reality
of there being other places in the world
where
life is different
Your brain does not experience that
that actual reality
as something kind of
as something potent, as something that is actually there
because kind of the stimulus, the stimuli aren't there
So that's why
that's why I find traveling sort of very refreshing
very refreshing for the mind
Because it does get tedious
living in one place
especially if things are not going like
you're not completely satisfied with your life perhaps
things do get sort of difficult
And like even though you intellectually understand
that there are other things around
you just live there and it sort of
it kind of
all of that environment that you're in, sort of
you get influenced by it, it's just a natural thing that happens
and basically I guess what I'm trying to get at here
is that if the environment doesn't suit you well,
change it. Just change it.
Even if it doesn't
even if it feels scary
even if it feels like
even if it's difficult in any kind of way,
change it. Just do it.
Because
nothing's going to change if you stay
if you keep doing the same thing that you were doing before
you will get the same type of results
So yeah
If the environment doesn't suit you well,
do change it, it's going to help

Millennials are being blamed for pretty much everything these days we've been accused of
destroying the wine industry,
napkins, hotels, golf, handshakes, the Mexican Internet, the European Union, and
yes the entire concept of democracy itself. If we really have that much power than why are these
people still allowed on the Internet to say
these things to us? The answer of course is no we're not single handedly destroying the world
that's what George Soros is doing but we may or may not have a hand in shattering limitations of
the past
and that can cause a lot of resentment
The number of conveniences that are available today is mind boggling there are more ways than
ever to make money get information consume entertainment everything and catching a little
flack for how easy we've got it is the inevitable result of generational
disparity and
bitterness. However I think the greatest injustice that's committed in these conversations is
the number of generalizations that are made I'm talking about those memes that show a picture
of a stick shift and say something like "Share this post
you still know how to use one of these" Knowing how to drive a stick shift maybe
something you need to know but in a world of automatic transmissions you're just gonna have to
live with the fact that that information is relevant to most people you wanna know something
I know how to drive a John Deere tractor from the early twentieth century but I'll bet you real
money but if I did a survey of people aged 35 to 65 (i.e., not millennials) I'd be
hard pressed to find people who
knew how to just sit down at the tractor and use it like I can but that doesn't mean that I can seriously
post self-congratulatory memes that would say "Share if you're young enough to know
how to use one of these"
information is fundamentally
dependent on relevancy and context I live in a world where I have to know how to operate that
tractor and make Internet videos and in 10 years that need will probably change completely so
if it's true that wine, golf, and the European Union is being murdered by millennials maybe it's
because we just don't need them anymore because one thing I know for sure is that clinging to the
past for its own sake
can only guarantee you'll be left there
Millennials are a hot topic I don't even know why we use that word in such a terrible word let me
