Korea is planning to push for the dual naming of the body of water separating the Korean

peninsula and Japan.

At this month's International Hydrographic Organization meeting in Monaco, Korea will

propose that the body of water be referred to as both the East Sea and the Sea of Japan.

The global chart titled "Names and Limits of Oceans and Seas," also known as S-23, currently

uses the name "Sea of Japan."

Seoul claims the name was changed from East Sea to Sea of Japan in the 1920s when Korea

was under Japan's colonial rule.

The IHO recommends that if multiple countries share a common area that they can't agree

on, their desired names should be accepted.

I have to go with my son to a doctor's appointment and put in some time to improve the DTI.

If you don't know what "DTI" is, it's the Domestic Tranquility Index.

Basically, at some point in time, you need to live in the real world and spend time with

your family.

So that's what I'm doing.

But first, let's check in on the project.

And just like that, my work day is over.

Workers are going into town to get some parts.

Primarily that one piece that we messed up yesterday.

But also the railing.

So my work day is done.

Decision expected soon on Daewoo Shipbuilding bailout - Duration: 2:03.

Korea's National Pension Service is expected to decide soon whether to accept the latest

rescue plan for Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.

If the plan is accepted, it will be the second bailout for Korea's once mighty shipbuilder.

Hwang Hojun is watching the developments for us.

A decision is expected soon on whether the troubled Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering

will get another lifeline.

At a board meeting Friday, the National Pension Service,... which holds 43 percent of Daewoo

Shipbuilding bonds that are maturing next month,... worth an estimated 170 million U.S.

dollars,... is expected to determine whether to accept a 5-point-8-billion U.S. dollar

rescue plan proposed by the Korea Development Bank and the Export-Import Bank of Korea late

last month.

Under the rescue package, Daewoo Shipbuilding would receive new loans worth 2-point-5 billion

dollars if lenders and bondholders agreed to swap 2-point-5 billion dollars of debt

for new shares in the shipbuilder.

All stakeholders must agree to the debt-for-equity swap, and bondholders must also give a three-year

grace period for repayment of the remaining debt.

If the plan is approved, it will be the second bailout for Daewoo,... currently the world's

second-largest shipbuilder by revenue.

The shipbuilder has been suffering from severe liquidity problems after a drop in global

demand for vessels and other industry-wide difficulties.

Creditors say it's inevitable that Daewoo will be put under a new form of court receivership,

called a prepackaged plan, unless the bondholders agree to the debt-for-equity swap plan.

If the shipbuilder is put under court receivership, observers expect the aftermath will be brutal,

as it could result in 50,000 jobs lost and trigger massive cancellations of ships currently

under construction.

Daewoo Shipbuilding's bondholders are expected to gather next week to discuss the debt-to-equity

swap and rollover plan.

Presidential candidates meet for first TV debate - Duration: 2:37.

Turning to our ongoing coverage of the May ninth presidential election... now just over

three weeks away...

The five candidates in the running for the top office went toe-to-toe in their first

televised debate on Thursday night.

Our Shin Se-min has the highlights.

South Korea's presidential election moved into high gear Thursday as the top five contenders

faced off in their very first TV debate... one that could help sway legions of undecided

voters, less than a month before they go to the polls.

And a hotly debated topic was national security and the deployment of THAAD to the Korean

peninsula.

"The incoming administration should be responsible for the deployment of THAAD, because the decision

made by the previous one did not have enough consensus.

"Stances like your vague position on THAAD is what's putting the country in a difficult

situation with China."

Also topping the stage,... was the issue of bettering the country's job market and boosting

the nation's welfare system.

"Companies will help expand the job market and raise the national income."

"Increasing taxes is a must.

It's something I had expressed even before I was made lawmaker."

Ranging from diplomatic solutions for the recent escalation of tensions in Northeast

Asia stemming from North Korea's provocations to plans to raise the corporate taxes,…

the candidates flip-flopped over a range of issues in the two-hour long debate.

After battling it out in front of the camera, the candidates moved on to make a key promise

to the Korean people.

"Here at Gwanghwamun Plaza, now an iconic place of this country's weeks-long candlelight

protests that triggered the take-down of an unconstitutional president; where citizens

have been camping out for years demanding the truth be unveiled regarding the capsize

of the Sewol-ho ferry... the presidential hopefuls vowed to make this nation a better,

a safer place to live."

Democratic Party's Moon Jae-in reaffirmed that a tragedy like the 2014 capsize of the

Sewol-ho ferry will never be repeated under his leadership.

People's Party's Ahn Cheol-soo boosted the importance of the well-being and safety of

the people to that of national security.

Minor progressive Justice Party's Sim Sang-jung said securing the safety of the people has

to do with changing the people's value, currently rooted-deep within the privileged class.

Leyton Orient: A Club In Decline - Duration: 4:51.

The 2016-2017 Football League season could prove a historic one for Leyton

Orient, just not in the way their fans would want.

The O's currently sit bottom of League 2 — nine points from potential safety.

If things remain that way, Orient will end a 112 year stay in the Football League.

At the heart of the club's mismanagement is owner Francesco Becchetti.

The Italian took control in 2014, with then owner

Barry Hearn stating: "I have always been opposed to foreign players and

foreign owners because I'm a Little Englander, but I now realise I have been restricted in my vision."

Initially things appeared promising.

Becchetti — described as one of the richest men in Italy — spoke of Orient's

proud history and his aim to take the club into the Championship.

Orient had only just missed out on promotion the

previous season under Russell Slade, and so talk of potential investment

provided reason to be optimistic.

However, such projections failed to factor in the Italian's controlling nature

and trigger-happy approach to hiring and firing managers.

The club were relegated during his first full-season as owner, and since 2014

Becchetti has employed ten different managers at the club.

The Italian's sweeping changes did not stop there though, as respected Chief Executive Matt Porter was removed in favour of Becchetti's

compatriots — most of whom lacked a grasp of English or experience in football.

As if not destabilizing enough, 2016 saw Becchetti in

court to face charges of fraudand demands of extradition from the Albanian government.

On the field , the once frugal and canny club sanctioned a series of bizarre moves.

In came Andrea Dossena on a reported £7,500 a week, while a

number of long-serving and admired players were sold, leaving the club with a young and inexperienced squad.

It is also alleged Becchetti tried to influence training and team selection, with

any objection met with anger.

In one such instance, the Italian took to the pitch and attempted to kick assistant manager Andy Hessenthaler.

Although Hessenthaler later dismissed it as 'banter',

the FA sought to ban the Italian for six games and fine him £40,000

However, such problems now seem minor compared to Becchetti's recent transgressions.

In debt to numerous creditors — both local and national — the Italian

effectively walked away from the club in January after taking offense to an organised fan protest in November.

"Mr Becchetti did not like the fan protests because at the beginning of the

season everyone, supporters included, praised the club for their summer

transfer business," Chief Executive Alessandro Angelieri said on Becchetti's behalf.

"Thereafter Mr Becchetti doesn't play on Saturday."

The owner also claimed he inherited a, "squad without future", which is a

bold statement given the club's league position in 2014 when he arrived.

Speaking to journalist Daniel Storey for The Set Pieces, former Orient

favourite Dean Cox said, "Players don't know if they're getting paid, the staff

​don't know if they're getting paid, staff

are leaving because they're worried about their jobs.

It's not a nice place even to look in from the outside.

As recently as mid-March the club was handed a winding up order from HM

Revenue and Customs regarding an unpaid tax bill.

Subsequently settled by Becchetti, the High Court instructed the Italian

he had until June 12 to pay off the remaining debts or sell the club.

Once again speaking through his Chief Executive, he informed the court he would

invest £1million to pay off remaining debts in 8 to 10 weeks.

For beleaguered Orient fans though, the struggle is seemingly just beginning.

The Leyton Orient Fans Trust have encouraged Becchetti to sell, and

engineered a 'regeneration fund' that has now surpassed £100,000.

A club in decline, Leyton Orient should serve as warning to all fans that even

a proud history cannot prevent an uncertain future when the wrong hands

take hold of a football club.

Light rain nationwide, with cooler temps in central region - Duration: 1:55.

Good afternoon.

Rain and relatively cooler temperatures are in the forecast for the central region today,

with about 5 to 10 millimeters of precipitation expected.

Unfortunately, the rain and wind are likely to cut the cherry blossom season short this

year, but there will be plenty of tulips to enjoy instead.

There are a few tulip festivals going on around the nation, but the Taean Tulip Festival is

worth checking out.

It was chosen as one of the world's top five tulip festivals at the World Tulip Summit

in 2015.

The event runs through May 10th.

Aside from that, the weekend forecast looks promising.

Today's rain will improve the air quality and we'll have a fair amount of sunshine and

warmer readings throughout the weekend.

As for the outlook for today...

The capital will be about 3 to 4 degrees cooler than yesterday, getting up to 16 degrees,

while the southern provinces will see temperatures topping out at 22 degrees in Daegu and Gwangju.

The rain is likely to taper off in the evening in the capital and the surrounding area.

Top 5 WattBike Sessions For Rugby - Duration: 2:21.

in this video we share rugby renegades top 5 wattbike sessions to get you fitter for

rugby.

Wattbike Session 1 is a great speed endurance session that is ideal for backs. and it only

takes ten minutes.

It consists of 10 x 6 seconds max effort sprints with one minute rest.

aim for over 120 metres in that 6 seconds period, the best I've seen is 135.

Wattbike Session number 2 is 6 sets of 500 metres with 2 minute rest again it's max effort

on the 500 metres and this is a recipe for lactic acid, it's a real lactic acid tolerance

session it will give you a crazy leg pump.

For backs aim for sub 34 seconds each rep and forwards sub 32.

Wattbike Session number 3 is called the clockface simply because you go from 12 down to 1 so

1200 metres all the way down in 100 metre increments down to 100 metres with 60 second

rest between.

If you're really mental give it a go in the opposite direction start with a hundred and

finishing on 1200 metres.

Wattbike Session number 4 is 4 sets of 4 minutes with 2 minute rest.

This is a great aerobic workout for backs aim to complete 2750 metres and forwards 2900

metres in four minutes a real challenge is to hit 3km on each rep.

And our final WattBike session number 5 is a 2km with 2 minute rest, 1500m with 90 seconds

rest, 1km followed by 60 seconds rest, 500 metres followed by 30 seconds rest, then a

250 metre sprint followed by 3 minute rest and then just to finish you off a 5km max

effort.

Now don't start too hard on the first 2km try and increase your pace obviously as the

distance decreases and then for that 5km really go hard and aim to get sub 7 minutes 15 a

real good indication of aerobic fitness is if you get it sub 7 minutes.
