Waching daily Apr 10 2017

I'm gonna show you how to apply epoxy to a garage floor.

It looks great.

It's easy to clean so if you get some minor spills, some oils and some waters makes it

easy to wash off.

It will add value and will help give it a lift.

So if it's looking a bit old and tired, you've got some minor cracks and blemishes, it will

cover those up nicely.

These are the tools I'm gonna be using to prepare my garage floor, I have the epoxy

in here as well.

Part of putting epoxy down on your garage floor, we will be using a acid.

So I can't stress enough, you must take your safety seriously.

I do have a lot of safety gear here.

Make sure you're using that, especially when you're using products like acids.

Before I apply the epoxy to the garage floor, preparation is key here.

I need to make sure that the epoxy will stick.

If the floor has some sealant on it in the past, I need to check that first.

I'm gonna boot a little bit of water down, if it gets adsorbed in the concrete I'm right

to go with my basic clean-up with my acid.

But if it's got a sealer on it, I need to attack it a little more with the acid to make

sure it sticks.

Just put a little bit of water in the bucket, I can see that it's being penetrated into

the concrete nicely.

If it sits up and it beads, I need to hit it a bit more with the acid.

And now I got to high-pressure clean the garage floor.

It's really important that I get rid of all the dust and debris, all the loose stuff has

to come off before we start to acid wash.

Make sure you're wearing sensible shoes.

The [inaudible 00:01:21] high-pressure, they will cause you an injury.

This is a petrol machine, I'm going to make sure I'm using it outside.

I don't want to build up any fumes inside the garage.

[00:01:29] [silence]

[00:01:39]

I'm now going to sweep all the excess water off, get ready for the acid wash...

I'm now going to acid wash my floor.

Hydrochloric acid, it is a serious chemical, make sure you're using all your safety gear.

I've got my gloves, glasses, respirator, long pants, and boots, scrubbing brush.

Make sure you read the instructions and get the right mixing ratio, I've got my bucket

of water, I'm ready to go and start mixing up.

[00:02:11] [silence]

[00:02:34]

I've acid washed and burned down the concrete area.

I need to wash and rinse it off, I need to do all this before I put the epoxy down.

Now that my acid etching is done, it's well and truly dry, it's ready for epoxy.

I've given it a good clean down.

My next step will be tape up all of my edges, just to stop any spills and splashes against

the brick work.

Once I've taped up I can cut it with my paintbrush, and then roll my epoxy.

Now comes the fun part, I've done all my taping and I'm ready to start mixing my epoxy.

Read the instructions, few things you need to take care of.

In this case, my little can must get poured into my big one.

I've got my safety gear here, it does give off some fumes.

I'm gonna play it safe with my gloves, glasses, and respirator.

With a lot of these concrete paints it is a option to decorative flake over the top,

you don't have to put it down of course.

But if you do, work in small one meter square areas.

That way you can reach over, sprinkle that gently over the top of your paint...

How easy was that?

And it looks great, that's how you apply a epoxy garage floor coating.

How to make an online homeschool planner work for you (even when you prefer paper) - Duration: 1:52.

Hey guys! It's Crystal with Triumphant

Learning. Everybody tends to have a

primary way that they like to keep track

of their day, their personal day, their

home routine, and their homeschool

lessons. Some like paper. Some like

electronic. Or, if you're kind of

in between, like me, you can have both.

There are benefits to both. I love the

ease of planning with an electronic

planner. I can move lessons around as I

need to. I can mark days on school or off

school with just a few clicks, and I can

make all those lessons cascade into the

right place. But I have a really hard

time with implementing our daily lessons

from an electronic planner. I don't like

being tied to the computer or my iPad. I

also tend to get a little distracted

whenever I work that way. I found a

way that I can combine an online planner

with a paper planner and it works great

for me. I'd like to share with you how I

do that and I hope that it will help you

as you are planning your homeschool

year and implementing those lessons each

week. If you'll click on the link in the

description box you can find the post

that will show you how I've combined an

online planner and a paper planner to

provide us the best experience and

benefits of both. Until next time have a

Triumphant day!

D.I.Y. Copper and Timber Bedside Table - D.I.Y. At Bunnings - Duration: 3:00.

No bedroom's complete without some bedside tables.

I'm gonna transform this empty space next to the bed with some classic contemporary

design.

These are all the tools and materials I need build my timber and copper bedside table.

We've had our timber plate cut at Bunnings, and we have chosen to use a hardwood timber

panel.

Once I've determined the dimensions of my table, I can cut my legs to length.

I need four copper legs, so I'm gonna use my first one to determine the length of my

next three.

Now that I've cut my leg lengths, I need to cut my support frame.

This is my tabletop and I want it to have a lip.

So we need to cut the frame short enough so the legs sit under.

The secret to using a pipe cutter is to not overtighten it.

As you go around, tighten it a little bit every time.

This allows for a cleaner cut.

I'm now going to cut my base length.

Remember when cutting your support pieces that you need to allow for the elbows in the

measurements.

The great thing about this project is that it's all straight cuts, and everything is

put together with elbows.

There's no glue needed.

This is our crimper.

It looks a lot like a set of bolt cutters.

What it does is it applies pressure to the joint, which means we don't need glue.

The arms extend out, which means we have better leverage and it makes it easier to do.

I'm gonna grab Andy to give us a hand to make sure nothing wobbles while I crimp it.

This one here is our crimped one.

There is now a line which is set the seal.

We're now ready to join our frame together and attach it to our tabletop.

The last thing we need to do is crimp the two legs together.

And there you have it.

That's the framework for our table.

As you can see, our joints are beautiful and clean because we haven't had to use any glue.

And it was nice and easy.

Because I've chosen a dressed timber, before I attach it, I'm gonna give it a quick sand

and a coat of clear varnish.

I've chosen a water-based varnish as it won't discolor the timber and will bring out the

grain, complementing the copper.

Always make sure to use a really good-quality brush when using water-based varnishes.

This is because you don't wanna overwork the varnish and this will leave a nicer finish.

Now that our frame is built, we are ready to attach it to our top.

We're going to use some saddle clips that match our frame.

Because we're using hardwood as our top, we need to drill some pilot holes.

Before I drill my pilot holes, I just need to make sure that my frame is sitting square.

And there you have it: one copper bedside table.

Now we can make a matching pair or whatever you like.

You can also give the legs a polish so that it looks beautiful.

Our pair of bedside tables are now complete and dressed to suit the space.

And don't they look gorgeous?

Though remember, these aren't just bedside tables, you can use them wherever you like:

next to a chair, or up against a wall.

The contemporary, simplistic design suits most spaces and just look gorgeous.

Rainbows - Janice Vidal 衛蘭 - Duration: 4:21.

Flippin' through the channels can't seem to understand

Why so many children losin' their mums and dads

I remember a time, there would be rainbows Now we live in a time, with darker skies.

There was heavy rainfall down in Mississippi

People lose their families to that endless storm

I remember days, there would be freedom

Let it be today, show the way

It doesn't matter what colour or whereabouts you are

This world that we have, is for everyone So don't you give up… no yeah

We'll pass the test of time coz I can't make it through without you

Snowy is the weather, down in Chicago

I guess the world is changing Even faster than me and you

I remember spring, there would be flowers

Bring me back again, o lord won't you please.

It doesn't matter what colour or whereabouts you are

This world that we have, is for everyone So don't you give up… no yeah

We'll pass the test of time coz I can't make it through without you

It doesn't matter what colour or how rich you are

This world that we have, is for everyone So don't let it down… no no

We'll pass the test of time coz I can't make it through without you

Flipping through the channels I see a broken man

Through his devastation He still smiles through the broken glass

Cause he knows its time, we are part of something

Something beautiful, see the light.

D.I.Y. Garden Tool Storage Rack - D.I.Y. At Bunnings - Duration: 2:15.

If you love gardening like me, sometimes your tools can get in a bit of a mess.

I'm going to make a Garden Tool Storage Unit that will solve that problem.

Everything will be easily in reach and in order.

These are the tools and materials you're going to need to make your Garden Tool Storage Unit.

It's really simple to make, all I'm using is a piece of ply, and a piece of timber,

both of these can be pretty cut at Bunnings.

Take a piece of ply and measure out three slots along the length of it.

These slots are going to have the same width but they're going to be at various distances

along the piece of ply to suit the size of your tool.

Now, clamp down your ply, and use a jigsaw to cut out your slots.

Cut out your two straight lines first.

Next time you go in, curve the blade as sharp as you can to do the last straight line.

Finish off the inside of the slots with some sandpaper so it's not sensitive.

Predrill and countersink your holes for the button screws.

This button is going to help us to attach the unit to the wall.

So what I'm going to do now is, predrill and countersink the holes for the screws to go

in to attach the unit to the wall.

Just mark out where you're going to drill the holes to make [inaudible 00:01:27] in

between the yellow fixing points.

Apply some glue to your plywood, flip it over and attach it to the button, and then screw

it all together.

All done.

I'm just going to apply some hooks to the sides of it so you can hang things like a

raincoat or some gardening gloves, and then I'm going to find a spot for it on the wall.

Hasn't this Garden Tool Storage Unit come up really well?

I'm so proud of it.

It's gotten rid of some of the clutter in my shed, and it's put everything in a nice,

neat, tidy position, easy to reach for when I need it giving them an organized new home

and it looks fantastic too.
