Instagram Marketing 2018 | What is Working on Instagram Now - Duration: 5:16.

The only thing that's constant is change right? Well Instagram is no different.

With over 800 million active users the platform has had to change and grow to

support all the activity. In this video I'm going to tell you exactly what your

Instagram mindset needs to be for amazing Instagram marketing in 2018. Stay

tuned.

Before I get to the meat of this video, I have one more piece of housekeeping. Would you take a

moment to subscribe to my channel? It gives me a dopamine rush... and you'll

learn something new this year. If you've been marketing on Instagram for a while

you'll notice that things are way different than they were back in like

2015 or 2016 or even early 2017. A lot of this is due to algorithms. There's

algorithms that decide what is seen first in our feed, what appears in our

top 9 under the hashtag searches, and even the videos and images you're seeing

in your explore tab. So how can you use Instagram to grow your business and

succeed in 2018? Well I'm going to tell you right now this is not an algorithm

hacking video. This is all about your mindset and the place that Instagram

needs to be taking in your marketing strategy. So now we're going to jump in and

I'm going to tell you exactly what I'm focusing on in 2018 to keep my Instagram

marketing game strong. So number one is to keep your big picture in mind and

stop obsessing about your numbers. I've seen 15,000 follower accounts that have

million-dollar businesses and 200,000 follower accounts that aren't profitable

at all. Followers in no way equate to sales and there's really no way, ZERO way to

judge the health of a business based on the number of the Instagram followers

they have. Number two is closely related to number one. While I want you to stop

obsessing about your numbers, I do want you to think about what is driving your

business? What's driving your bottom line, and how can you use Instagram to support

that and drive people to it? I'm guessing that everyone needs more sales. So what I

want you to do is to work backwards and figure out how you can get people from

Instagram to that sale. We need to think about Instagram as very top of funnel.

For some businesses it might be getting people to join your email list where you

can nurture that relationship, invite them to a webinar, and eventually sell

them a course. But for other businesses it might be that you use Instagram to

try to sell them on the lifestyle of your brand so that eventually they'll

buy a physical product. Use all of the tools in your

marketing arsenal. Think of Instagram as just one tool and not the beginning or

center of everything. It needs to work synergistically with all of your other

channels. Personally I would obsess more about growing traffic to your website

than I would about growing your follower numbers on Instagram. Okay, so number

three might be a little controversial here but I'm passing out tough love

today. Number three is to consider some paid media. Yes, paid social ads on

Instagram. Nothing in life is free and if you're running a business that you want

to make money from there's no way to get there faster and accelerate your growth

than by spending a little bit of money to reach your target audience. Look at

any wildly profitable business that you respect. Online, offline, it doesn't matter.

Any business that's making a considerable amount of money and is

profitable has some marketing spend. Paid social media ads are dirt cheap compared

to any other marketing you can do. You can't do a billboard, a radio ad, a print

ad, television... you can't do anything for the amount of money, for the little

amount of money that you can do for social ads. The other benefit with paid

social media ads is that they are highly targeted. There's very little waste. You

can reach exactly who you need to reach. My final tip here for paid social media

ads is to consider your overall business goals before running a campaign. If

you're running a retail website, maybe the ad entices someone to join your

email list in exchange for some coupon code that expires at a certain time, so

you're getting someone on your list and you're trying to get a sale right away.

There's a ton of answers here, just make sure that your campaign has a point that

makes sense for your bottom line. Tip number four is to think outside of your

own Instagram powers. So it's not just about what you post, what you say, the

hashtags you use, or whatever filter you're putting on your photo. How can you

leverage your audience to get your message out for you? This is where

user-generated content comes in. You can ask people to post pictures of their

products that they've received, you can do this with contests. There's a lot of

different ways to get user generated content, which I'm not going to go

through in this video, but just think outside yourself and how you can

leverage that audience to reach even more people. Your fans already love you.

How can you use them? So forget algorithms, forget shadow bans,

forget whatever other drama we can drum up about Instagram. This is what I want

you to keep in mind. This is my final thought. Marketing 101 is all about

getting the right offer, to the right customer, at the right time, and when

we're doing our Instagram marketing we need to keep that in mind. How can we

reach the right people, how can we offer them the right things, how can we talk

about things in the right way? The rest will fall into place let's get back to

basics. I would love in the comments if you

would drop some of your top concerns about Instagram marketing in 2018 and

we'll see if we can get some questions answered in future videos.

What Is a Blizzard? 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | SML TV - Duration: 12:12.

What Is a Blizzard? 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Living in a state that is prone to having snowstorms likely means that you've experienced a blizzard at least once in your life.

However, did you know that there are specific criteria that a weather system has to meet in order to be coined a blizzard?.

New England is currently preparing for their first bout of plowable snow this season.

The weather system is moving up the east coast, set to strike several states in its path.

Massachusetts is expected to feel the most impact from this storm, with some areas — including Boston — expecting upwards of a foot of snow.

But will this 2018 snowstorm actually be a blizzard?.

Here is what you need to know:.

The Storm Headed for New England Is a 'Bomb Cyclone'.

The term "bomb cyclone" is being used to describe the weather system that is set to arrive in New England on Thursday, January 4.

A "bomb cyclone" occurs when a storm's pressure drops so quickly that there is "explosive strengthening." The term "bomb" is short for "bombogenesis.".

The National Ocean Service provides more of a technical definition.

"Bombogenesis, a popular term used by meteorologists, occurs when a midlatitude cyclone rapidly intensifies, dropping at least 24 millibars over 24 hours.

A millibar measures atmospheric pressure.

This can happen when a cold air mass collides with a warm air mass, such as air over warm ocean waters.

The formation of this rapidly strengthening weather system is a process called bombogenesis, which creates what is known as a bomb cyclone.".

Meteorologist Ryan Maue says that this storm will have "pressure as low as [Hurricane] Sandy & hurricane [force] winds.

A "bomb cyclone" can have winds strong enough to take down trees and power lines.

It can also cause structural damage, not unlike a hurricane.

While Thursday's storm is still expected to be major, the worst of it will actually stay over the Atlantic Ocean.

While this storm has blizzard potential, it's currently a Nor'easter.

There Are a Few Factors That Must Be Met in Order for a Storm to Be Dubbed a 'Blizzard'.

Heavy snow and gusty winds are just a couple of factors that can contribute to a blizzard, but it's not quite that simple.

The National Weather Service will not call a storm a blizzard until it meets very specific criteria.

For starters, there has to be a lot of snow (usually in the range of 12+ inches, though an exact amount isn't given).

Simultaneously, the wind speeds must be 35 miles per hour or higher and visibility (due to blowing snow), must be less than 1/4 mile.

All of these things must happen at the same time for a minimum of three hours before a storm earns itself an upgraded name.

According to Live Science, when all of these conditions are expected in a given area, the National Weather Service will issue a "blizzard watch.

" A "watch" will turn into a "warning" if and when that severe whether approaches and it will remain in effect throughout the duration of the storm.

It's important to note that a "blizzard warning" does not actually mean that a storm is a blizzard.

It means that people who are in the warning area will likely experience the aforementioned conditions.

Remember: if and only if those conditions occur simultaneously for three or more hours do you have a blizzard.

As of 4:15 p.m.

on January 3, the National Weather Service issued a Blizzard Warning for some areas in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.

About 400 People Die in Blizzards in the U.S.

Each Year.

Blizzards are very dangerous storms and deaths are not all that uncommon.

Many times, people die in accidents resulting from poor weather conditions.

Car accidents, for example, tend to be plentiful due to icy roads and poor visibility, which is why people are encouraged to stay off of the roads during these storms.

Deaths are not imminent when there is a blizzard and some storms are certainly worse than others.

Below is a list of the 10 deadliest blizzards worldwide, according to Geni.

As you can see, four of the 10 blizzards on the list below occurred in the United States.

The most recent blizzard with a significant death toll in the United States was the Storm of the Century which left 318 people dead.

The storm started in the south and caused quite a few tornadoes, leaving dozens of people dead.

1972 Iran Blizzard (Iran) – 40001719 Carolean Death March (Sweden/Norway) – 30002008 Afghanistan Blizzard (Afghanistan) – 9261888 Great Blizzard of 1888 (United States) – 400+1993 Storm of the Century (United States) – 3181888 Schoolhouse Blizzard (United States) – 2351902 Hakko-da Mountains incident (Japan) – 1991996 North American blizzard of 1996 – 1541940 Armistice Day Blizzard (United States) – 1442008 Chinese winter storms (China) – 133.

There Have Been 7 Major Blizzards in the United States.

Blizzards can most certainly be pretty nasty, but there are some that are worse than others.

In March 2017, History put together a list of the worst blizzards in the United States.

The Great White Blizzard – March 11-14, 1888.

"Temperatures plunged and vicious winds kicked up, blanketing the East Coast in snow and creating drifts up to 50 feet high.

The storm immobilized New York, Boston and other major cities, blocking roads and wiping out telephone, telegraph and rail service for several days.".

The Knickerbocker Storm – January 27-28, 1922.

"The Knickerbocker Storm battered the upper South and middle Atlantic United States for two days, dumping a record-breaking 28 inches of snow on Washington, D.

The Blizzard of '78 – February 5-7, 1978.

"Massive snowdrifts trapped families in their homes and workers in their offices.

In Massachusetts and Rhode Island, record snowfalls left residents without heat, water or electricity for more than a week.".

The Storm of the Century – March 12-15, 1993.

"The storm affected at least 26 U.S.

states and much of eastern Canada, reaching as far south as Jacksonville, Florida.

It dumped several feet of snow on regions that typically see less than an inch of powder a year, forcing officials to scrape together winter emergency plans.".

The "Blizzard" of 1996 – January 6-10, 1996.

"On the evening of January 6, snow and sleet began hammering Washington, D.C., Baltimore and surrounding areas.

Over the next few days, the storm made its way northeast, breaking records along the way.

By the time it subsided, it had deposited between 17 and 30 inches of wind-driven snow on every city along the Eastern seaboard.".

The Three Blizzards of 2010 – February 2010.

"Between February 1 and 6, a severe winter storm swept the country from coast to coast, piling record amounts of snow in the Mid-Atlantic states.

On February 9, a second storm produced high winds and heavy snowfalls from Washington, D.C., to Boston.

And on February 25, a slow-moving system crippled the Northeast yet again, leaving hundreds of thousands of residents without power.".

The Day After Christmas Blizzard – December 26-27, 2010.

Inside College Basketball: Is Michigan State the best team in the country? - Duration: 0:59.

On Monday a new squad was crowned number one in the AP poll

Michigan State our final statement here, Michigan State is the best team in the country?

Or is it just kind of for the week Rick or buckets win?

I'm gonna say for the week, but this is gonna be a bucket for me. I think Michigan State at this point right now

We're seeing teams that are winning some things that are losing

I like the way that they're playing defense I like how positions are being of a few players are in double figures

But licking your mouth bridges that will be an NBA prospect an NBA player. I think after this season

That is a brick. They are one of the best teams in the country

But I don't think they're the best in the country for me right now based on resume talent up side everything

Best team in the country is Duke. I'm gonna go with Gary Paris. I'm gonna go to brick as well

I think Duke has a lot of talent

They can get it done badly if not for Trey young will probably be the Player of the Year and also on top of that

Michigan say there's one loss right yes, who beat them. Yep

Teen Mom Salaries: You Won't Believe How Rich This Cast Is! - Duration: 3:21.

Teen Mom Salaries: You Won't Believe How Rich This Cast Is!

Teen Mom: OG and Teen Mom 2 are among the most popular series in MTVs storied history.

The stars may not enjoy the same universal name recognition as Snooki or The Situation, but their fans are an intensely devoted bunch with appetitse for every detail of the womens personal lives.

So it should come as no surprise that theres considerable interest in just how much the Teen Moms get paid.

Of course, given their many side projects and business ventures, the amount that each cast member pulls in varies wildly from one to the next.

but suffice it to say, theyre all doing very well.

Heres a breakdown of just how much each mom is earning these days:  .

Catelynn Lowell: $25,000 per episode Catelynn is earning the standard rate for stars of the original series.

And while she has a few other revenue streams in place, shes not on her 24/7 grind like some of her co-stars.

Clothing By Cate Catelynn and husband Tyler Baltierra recently launched a childrens clothing line.

The venture is too new to determine if it will be profitable or not.

Amber Portwood: $25,000 per episode Amber also pulls in $25,000 for just a few days work on TM:OG.

Unlike Catelynn, however, she puts a lot of time into her side businesses.

Hard Times For Haute Amber launched her online boutique Forever Haute with the help of then-fiance Matt Baier.

Unfortunately, it doesnt seem that the business is faring much better than the relationship.

Rumors that Haute is out of business appear to be premature, but multiple insiders have confirmed the site has yet to turn a profit.

Maci Bookout: $25,000 per episode Some reality shows pay their more popular cast members a bit extra.

Not Teen Mom: OG, however, which keeps the salaries consistent across the board.

Off the Bookout Unlike some of her other cast members, Maci doesnt seem to have much time for side projects.

With three kids to raise and an increasingly problematic ex, we suppose thats no surprise.

Besides, no matter how hard she hustles, Maci could never hope to out-earn TM:OGs wealthiest star.
