Naby Keita is not pushing to leave RB Leipzig to join Liverpool during the January transfer

window and remains committed to the Bundesliga side until the end of the season.

Liverpool agreed a deal for the Guinea international during last summer's transfer window with

the midfielder remaining at Leipzig for the 2017-18 campaign.

The Reds saw off interest from Barcelona for the 22-year-old after agreeing a fee said

to be worth £48m.

Keita played an instrumental role in helping Lepzig qualify for the Champions League for

the first time last season,

but their elimination from the competition before the knock-out stages helped fuel speculation

that the player could push for a move earlier than scheduled.

But Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff insists there have been no efforts from the

player or his representatives to bring the deal forward.

"Neither Naby nor his agent made the request to leave the club in the winter," Mintzlaff

told Bild.

"There are contracts which say that he will be a Liverpool employee from 1 July onwards.

"Our pros have character and are ambitious.

Hey there modern vegans and vegan ModVegan

if you're new here in January and you are starting a vegan journey or you're

interested in a vegan diet I'm here today to talk to you guys about veganism

as a diet for the modern world back in 1971 Francis Moore Lappe she published a

book called diet for a small planet and it was a very popular book on

vegetarianism and her argument was that we should go vegetarian because the

planet is not going to sustain the population otherwise that this is kind

of an environmental vegetarianism and she was the first person to suggest that

we should change our diet in order to adapt to a changing planet and it was an

extremely successful book and it kind of launched the modern vegetarian movement

but I think today what we need is a diet for a modern planet not a diet for a

small planet for all too long I think we've been caught up in this idea that

we need to be sustainable and I think if there's one thing that I learned in 2017

it's that we are approaching sustainability in the wrong way

we tend to have this belief that if we can just remain static then we can solve

our problems if we can keep a small population and keep a small approach to

the way that we use the world that we're gonna be sustainable and I think that is

the wrong way to go I was really profoundly influenced last

year by reading David Deutsch's book the beginning of infinity it's a fantastic

book I strongly recommend it to all of you I may even do a review of it here on

the channel but in that book what David Deutsch argues is that problems are

inevitable but problems are solvable and those are two really important things to

keep in mind we are always going to be running into problems but we can solve

those problems and in solving those problems we will create more problems

which are in turn solvable I think that it's no reason to be complacent it's no

reason to just sit back and allow things to happen but it is a reason to have an

optimistic positive attitude about the world and to believe that we can change

the world for the better the 21st century is going to be a century in

which we can make term Mendes progress as a species as long as

we remain optimistic and I think veganism is a huge part of that

and that's why I started this channel I started my vegan because I believe that

veganism is a modern diet that's going to bring us to the next century and

beyond it's what's going to help us to be able to thrive on this planet not

just survive and I think that's a really important thing to keep in mind I

realize that a lot of people who are attracted to veganism are attracted by

the sustainability side of it and that's a very important part of why you should

live vegan but it's not the only reason and I think it's wrong to just see it

through this lens of sustainability of the idea of staying the same because a

lot of what sustainability means we really look at the word

it's about sustaining ourselves staying the same not moving forward necessarily

and I think that we need to reassess the way that we're using that word and

rethink what we mean by it so why is a vegan diet a modern diet and how is it

going to help us solve our problems and progress forward as a species I think

there are three main things that a vegan diet does that are really important to

our progress as a species the first is that it liberates us from our dependence

on other life-forms this might like seem like a surprising thing to say but it's

true we depend a lot on other life forms in

order to be able to sustain ourselves 10,000 years ago humans livestock and

pets comprised about 1/10 of 1% of the Earth's vertebrate biomass so when you

think about the weight of all the vertebrate animals on planet 10,000

years ago we our livestock and our pets comprised about 1/10 of 1% of that

weight fast forward to today and we are 98% of the Earth's vertebrate biomass so

out of the vertebrates on planet we outweigh everybody else

we're 98% of the biomass but when we look at this in terms of a pie chart

we're gonna notice that it's not really humans that are taking up so much of

that space and we kind of want humans to take up a lot of that biomass because it

means that we were successful as a species and we don't really want to

reduce that so much but the thing is it's not really

humans that are taking up a lot of that it's actually our livestock if we look

at the success of species human beings in some ways in terms of reproduction

and just carrying on our genes we're not the most successful creatures on the

planet it's our livestock because they've managed to convince us to grow

them in order to feed them to us and if you look at that part of the argument

it's much funnier that's one of those things that that meat eaters say a lot

of times you know if if it wasn't for us these other animals wouldn't be around

well that's absolutely true when you look at livestock and pets they have

been phenomenally successful as species you look at house cats and dogs and cows

and pigs chickens they have been phenomenally successful in some ways as

species in terms of propagating themselves and we've also become

incredibly dependent on them there are about five animal species that satisfy

about 75% of our global food needs in terms of land animals and those few

species have been phenomenally successful but we don't really need them

to be that successful do we in terms of biodiversity and everything like that

it's important to maintain biodiversity and by being less dependent on animal

foods we can help improve the biodiversity of the planet we can reduce

our susceptibility to disease and things like that we can also reduce our use of

antibiotics obviously by eliminating factory farming and when we look at our

biomass and we think about this just on a macro scale in terms of the entire

planet there are a lot of things that we can do to improve biodiversity to reduce

our dependence on antibiotics and to reduce the disease vector potential of

these various categories and the number one thing we can do to fix that is by it

stopping eating animals so that's number one it's going to help reduce our

dependence on these other life-forms in addition to making us highly dependent

on other life forms a modern omnivorous diet is killing us in another way and

that is economically when you look at the cost of an omni diet it's extremely

costly and that's why a modern vegan diet is much better there are a lot of

reasons but the biggest reasons are always economic it's

that I talk about on this channel all the time but there is a strong economic

reason to eat a vegan diet that is that it is costly not just terms of money but

also in terms of energy and everything else to eat animals because if we feed

nutrients to animals in order to get nutrients to eat it's much more

expensive just on a physical scale if we're looking at physics and entropy

it's far more expensive for us to eat animals than to just eat the plants that

the animals eat we see this over and over again but it definitely is going to

help us use our land in a much more efficient way it's going to buy us a lot

of time in order to solve these problems that I was talking about in the

beginning if we want to solve our bigger problems as a species if we want to save

the planet then what we need to do is to conserve our energy somewhat by focusing

on energy that is easier to produce and that is plant energy plant energy is

extremely efficient plants are the most efficient users of the sun's energy

resources of water of everything else plants are far more efficient than

animals are and it's always going to be that way because animals eat plants and

that's just the way it is it doesn't mean we always need to be continuing to

eat plain vegetable matter in the future we're probably going to be able to eat

lab-created meat and things like that that we're going to be able to develop

that again harness these more efficient processes rather than the idea of

raising animals for food and that brings us to the third reason that veganism is

a diet for a modern planet and that is that unnecessary suffering is wrong this

is a moral reason I suppose but it's also a very practical reason it makes no

sense to kill and raise other creatures if we can feed ourselves without doing

so if you're watching this video you're probably lucky enough to live in a place

where you have access to b12 supplements and things like that

hopefully you get access to the Sun but if you don't you can take a vitamin D

supplement those are all things that you can do to make a vegan diet more

accessible to you more helpful the interesting thing when it comes to b12

is that we have to feed animals b12 these days in order to even get b12 from

animals you're thinking that this is unnatural

in some way well we can't any longer naturally supply these animals with the

b12 but they need either they have to get it from the soil since most animals

don't gray is any longer we need to feed them b12 supplements in order to be able

to get b12 ourselves it makes a lot more sense to just feed the supplements to

ourselves rather than feeding it to our animals and it's just a more efficient

way of living when I look at the future I see so much potential and in 2018 I

think the world is going to continue to become a better place I do have an

optimistic view of the world not a pessimistic view and I hope that you

will share in my optimism because I think it's only by believing that these

problems are solvable that we can actually solve them when we look at

climate change when we look at the problems of poverty that still exists in

the world these are solvable problems but we can only solve them if we use the

evidence that exists right in front of us in order to create a better world and

one of the things that we can do in order to make that better world is to

stop eating and using animals it's inefficient it is not the way for the

future going forward and there are so many reasons why it's not the case I am

very grateful that a lot of companies even meat companies are seeing this they

are seeing that it's far more efficient to produce meat from plants than to

produce it from animals companies like beyond meat that have gotten investments

from Tyson Foods these companies are realizing that it makes more sense to

make meat from plants than it does to make meat from animals this is the

future and I hope you'll embrace it now 2018 is a really great opportunity for

because here they have very concrete and interesting subjects,

I use the books by Stanislav Chernyshov "Poekhaly" 2.1 and 2.2

I like them because of the serious approach

The materials that are used in the lessons

What am I saying? What's wrong with me today?

Materials from this book are organised in the way to make students speak a lot

A lot of questions for discussions

and lots of them are controversial

I know that Stanislav likes these kinds of questions, to make students talk

Also they have audios

listening exercises

where a student listens and picks the answer

it's also bright

lots of pictures and illustrations

Grammar is presented very well

Visually well done

some points can be seen in different angles, and I understand that I like this method of explanation

For example, they give verbs in groups

Like verbs вставать, уставать, and they practice them

It's a nightmare for foreigners

And the second part, Poekhali 2

This one is even more serious

I don't know if they sell it on Amazon. I don't know either

I'm not sure

But you can buy them in Moscow and Petersburg

DIY Cat Game | Make Interactive Cat Tube Game! Recycled Cardboard Game For Cats! - Duration: 3:33.

Hi guys! Welcome back to the channel! it's Claire and Rags and Happy New Year!

It is 2018 now with a new year often comes New Year's resolutions I have my

own and I've decided - Rags needs one too! This year Ragsy is going to be a

bit more active seeing as she is getting a bit older so I decided to make her a

treat based game. It's really easy it's made with empty cardboard toilet roll tubes

and your cat will love it so if you want to learn how to make it just carry on watching

okay so for your DIY cat treat game you're going to need a

cardboard box a selection of treats, some scissors or a craft knife

and loads of toilet roll tubes!

Alright so the first thing when to do is take the box you can use any size you want

I'm doing small one and what you're going to do is cut it down to about the

same size as a toilet roll tube so it should be roughly about halfway

okay so now we have our box. The next thing I want to do is dead easy dead fun and

what I want you to do is it take some super glue - clean non-toxic awesome hot glue and

glue the toilet roll tubes to at the bottom of the box

Now I've got ones of different sizes to make it a little bit more interesting so that it's really

easy and you can do as many as you want or as little as you want

Now if you want to make it a little bit more interesting you can cut some of the

toilet roll tubes in half to make it just a little bit more challenging

Now if you just been using non-toxic glue you seem to wait for that to set

once it's all dry it's just one more step until it is ready to play with take your treats

for your cat and put some in a few of the little tubes so that your cat has to work out where they are

Oh Ragsy are you struggling there?

I know you can smell them, but I think it's just a little bit too lazy to do this one aren't you?
