Strop Buying Guide for Straight Razor Beginners Stephen Davidson commented on

one of my videos recently and he said can you do a Strop Buying Guide for

Beginners, beginners often get information overload looking at their

first strop so any help you can offer would be awesome and Stephen thank you

so much for your comment and this is for you so here we go I'm going to be

demonstrating with my ZY Grandslam okay this is three inches long from here to

here and this is thirteen sixteen alright and for a first drop I got this

just generic little strong okay now one of the good points is it actually does

have a swivel which is nice and it has a handle which I also like now here's the

problem with this see that this is a two inch drop versus a three inch razor

alright and now see this okay these are the reasons why you do not spend a whole

lot of money on that first drop okay there's no reason you're probably just

gonna cut it up anyway like I've done this one okay this isn't terrible but it

does happen now I also put curl marks on the back of

this okay don't do that it just it's not worth it

okay go ahead you can leave the suede side and you can go ahead and use it to

kind of clean off dry up your straight razor and then use the smooth side okay

to actually straighten out that edge and get a good shave so now that is a two

inch straw which I'm not going to recommend I really don't think it's a

great idea now I've got this three inch drop now I

don't even know if you can buy these brands anymore so don't even look at

that necessarily I can't escape the swivel here which is great and it's got

the handle which I also like and see I've nicked it up a bit now this one is

a bit larger alright and okay just wait on the back look at that no crow marks

alright so don't do it you don't need to it's not a big deal not to start with

anyway alright and now the three inch strop with the 3 inch razor okay so as

you're looking at this I want you guys I want you to see it okay see how that is

going to be much easier than trying to do extracts on a two inch strop now a

strop like of this you can buy something that looks almost identical to this and

you can get on Amazon for like 16 bucks everything you need to do as a beginner

it would be three inches wide perfect okay now also chef's knife to go

have something very similar to this as well okay and it's 20 bucks but it has

been compared to a dovo alright and it is smooth leather one the one side and

suede on the other with this same type of design okay as this one as far as how

the handle and swivel or wanna in twenty bucks at chef

nice to go all right yeah what I use is this 30 degrees drop

all right now you can't actually buy these anymore but here is what it looks

like now on Amazon and you can check it out alright and these are going to be

about 65 bucks okay you give or take a little bit but it's got this wonderful

clamp and hook got nice swivel okay beautiful and it's got these kind of

handles paddle handles one they swivel all right which is awesome

now with this 30 degree strop you know you can do perfectly fine with this get

this beautiful smooth leather side right now this is two-piece so it's also got a

fabric side yeah if I were you to start with at least you don't have to get

really expensive you can just go with with something less expensive all right

now this has also got the suede side and now that does have chrome ox on it but I

get to put it there okay that has chrome locks on it because I put it one the

fabric side all right so now on that fabric side it will rub off one the

suede leather side so I always put the chrome ox on the inside of the fabric

because if you don't it's going to make a mess and it's going to get on

everything so always put it on the inside all right

and then on the outside you've got this beautiful fabric all right so now what

I'm gonna suggest is go ahead and buy something you can afford just keep it

simple no big deal all right hey

Look What Trump Just Did For Every Taxpayer — They Said He Couldn't Do It - Duration: 3:04.

During the election, Donald Trump made big promises regarding taxes.

As he planned to help strengthen the U.S. economy, he proposed to cut taxes on most

Americans and make it easier for them to hold onto their hard-earned cash.

That would effectively help businesses thrive and the economy boom.

Once in office, he recommended his own tax plan.

But he needed support from Congress to make it a reality.

This week republicans unveiled their tax proposal.

It is being called the biggest change to our tax code in decades.

In addition to slashing taxes for middle class families, it offers one major change that

will improve the lives of many.

From New York Times:

Republican lawmakers are unveiling the most sweeping rewrite of the tax code in decades,

outlining a plan to cut taxes for corporations, reduce them for middle-class families and

tilt the United States closer, but not entirely, toward the kind of tax system long championed

by businesses, according to talking points circulated on Thursday…

The proposal roughly doubles the standard deduction for middle-class families, expanding

it to $24,000 for married couples, from $12,700, and setting it at $12,000 for individuals,

from $6,530 today.

Republicans also plan to expand the child tax credit to $1,600 from $1,000 and add a

$300 credit for each parent and nonchild dependent, such as older family members…

The proposal will double the estate tax exemption to roughly $11 million, from $5.49 million,

meaning families can avoid paying taxes on large inheritance.

And it eventually repeals the estate tax altogether, phasing it out entirely in six years.

Most people will agree that the estate tax is by and large illegal.

Taxing money that is inherited means the government is taxing something that's already been

taxed!

Double taxation is illegal and shouldn't be allowed in our country.

Yet liberals love it, because it's more money in their pockets.

It also coincides with the sentiment many on the left have towards the wealthy.

They don't think you deserve the money you worked hard to earn, so why not prevent your

children from getting it when you die?

This cut is huge.

Not only does it mean more money going to families each year, but an eventual elimination

of the tax in six years.

That's more money going to Americans and less going into the hands of government flunkies.

But expect a fight from the left on this proposal.

Democrats hate tax cuts.

They don't believe you deserve that money anyway.

They want to tax Americans into oblivion, in the hopes of funding their bloated, doomed

government programs.

Oh, and to expand their own paychecks, of course.

The best thing we can do right now is champion this tax proposal.

The more Americans talk about it, the more momentum it will get in Congress.
