a fan of the product itself as I just stumbled upon it and I want to share it
with you as this video is for mainly review the softbox kit itself the
information I do provide could consider this to be somewhat of a softbox tips
softbox kit tutorial that's tiny okay without further ado let's do it so what is the
softbox tips it's really just a light modifier that diffuses light and spreads
it out into an evenly soft look the way it does that is with an enclosure on the
outside of the light bulb putting this enclosure around the light bulb allows
the softbox video lighting to harness all the light and really doesn't let any light escape in
essence it's a box that captures light that spreads out your light evenly
should we give them a history lesson no no okay early softboxes is back in the day
we're actually made of wood so it would essentially be a nice wood box and they
put a light drill the hole in and put a light under it they then put a
pillowcase looking sheet over the box and that was it that's how the softbox
became to be know one of the best things about soft boxes is the closer you get
to your subject the softer the light gets and the more prominent your subject
becomes what's great about the limostudio soft boxes is they give you two
options for a harsh or soft light the way they do that is they allow you to
keep the actual diffuser on or off on equals off off equals hard pretty cool
long no way should I use a softbox for youtube homes right so to answer his question of
course any time you see your subject underexposed or overexposed the best way
to use softbox photography are for portraits wedding photos or video
anything around a light subject product photography and of course softbox for youtube
affordable softbox kits are the best for Human Subjects you should ask those ladies on
the beauty channels does good stuff for them

spec's the dimensions of the softboxes themselves is 24 by 24 which is on the
larger scale of affordable softbox kits the light bulbs equipped with the affordable softbox lights are 85
watts 80% energy efficient with the maximum output of 700 watts the power
cord itself is listed as 9 feet however I don't think that's true let's find out
65 inches the light stands themselves are equipped with three stationary legs
for stabilization purposes and they range 50 to 85 inches in height Paltalk
do you think that is it also has the industry standard quarter inch screw tip
a 270 degree adjustable head with a locking system it is very lightweight
very easy to assemble and D assemble I meant to say disassemble and an output
at 6500 Kelvin okay let's quickly talk about kelvin tutorial Kelvin if you are asking yourself
what is Kelvin let me explain kevin is a base unit of
temperature ranked as a fraction on the International System of Units otherwise
known as si Sports Illustrated no not Sports Illustrated though think
about it as a thermodynamic coloring scale in which the lower the Kelvin the
warmer more yellow oranges you get the higher the Kelvin the more whites of
bluish sky you get this picture here represents the best visual example of

Kelvin just understand you guys are ranking and regards to how much color
the light bulbs are outputting what you're seeing right here is a good
example of the higher skill of Kelvin the limostudio softbox lighting kit
outputs a total of 6500k Kelvin this is why it's all nice and white let's go
ahead and show you the lower side of Kelvin this right here is a pretty low
sign of Kelvin the only thing lighting me at this point
is this lamp gives you more of a more warmer tone blinding me a little bit it
kind of feels like I'm in a campfire setting right now or like an older R&B
video
that's a good song just simplify Kelvin wishes basing on three types of color
temperature scales the first soft white ranging from 2700 Kelvin to 3000 Kelvin
the second bright white ranging from 3500 Kelvin to 4100 Kelvin and the third
daylight which is exactly what you're seeing here which ranges from 5000
Kelvin to 6500 Kelvin let me go ahead and show you those three types of color
temperatures I just mentioned I guess we can go backwards and say that this is
the last one daylight this right here is a good
example of number one which is soft white notice what's behind me that
wallet so we can probably determine that's white but the picture above it
you know that's white in essence that's the definition of soft white the Kelvin
scale also uses the term sunrise and sunset moving on Wow and here's an
example of number two bright white you can see behind me more areas of white
these are looking shot but let's understand that my ISO is maxed out my
aperture is all the way down and so is my shutter speed all that needs to
happen in order to get this type of exposure within this lighting it's not
ideal but it does work let's wrap this up by going back to number three and I'm
back to number three daylight so as you can tell this is a very well that shot
exposures nice I'm able to tweak the settings on my camera better it's just
the better look but enough about the softbox lighting tutorial let's go ahead
and show you everything that comes with the line of Studios softbox kit we got a
tripod a travel case light bulb box diffuser and the softbox itself comes
it's by two and that is everything in the box back to you man that's a wrap
